I was recommended to Pompey Plumb by a friend. The website is fantastic. I was even able to book a next day appointment online. This was to fix a leak in my upstairs bathroom. Matt arrived, as promised, at the exact booked time. He fixed the issue immediately. He was polite, tidy, professional and competitively priced. I was very impressed by his service, and will now use him for all my plumbing work. I highly recommend. His website and booking for appointment on line is so easy. Highly rate this company.
Have used Matt - Pompey Plumbing for our rental portfolio over the past few years. Always professional, punctual, super helpful, sorts the problems and gives us good advice on preventative measures going forward.
We had a dispute about charging for 1.5 hours when by my estimates/ring door bell evidence the job rounded up took an hour. Stated that even if a job is a few minutes over he rounds up by half an hour, which i feel is harsh. So if you are booking keep in mind that parking/loading van etc is charged. I did write a more aggressive review because we fell out. In the end he reached out to me and we discussed the matter in a civil manner. The job was otherwise satisfactory.
Pompey Plumb fixed a leak from my boiler within a couple of hours of my phone call. Very straight and honest with me and very reasonably priced, fitted a new valve inside the boiler in limited space which made it a more awkward job than it may have been elsewhere and did a great job. Will definitely use Pompey Plumb again.
Rang this chap when in trouble, he talked me through turning off the in-road stopcock allowing me to fix the in-house leak and didnt want paying.Good fellow.
Matt, came to help in our of need
We booked in an appointment to have some work done on whatsapp after not getting any response on email. We agreed an appointment, come the day, we were told that this wasn't booked in, and it will now be 1 week later. We have sent several chases on mgs since mid November to get something arranged. I appreciate it's a busy time for plumbers and if an apology had been given, I'd be more forgiving, but alluding that it was our fault, as we didn't receive a confirmation of the date we agreed (something we didnt know we needed,as we had already agreed on pompey plumb whatsapp business account) isn't the kind of service I expect from a self employed local business

Have employed Matt on a few occasions previously. Not sure what has happened to him, possibly business in trouble, but i wont be using again and i advise anyone else against using as well. Booked in to fit two showers in my rental property - upon completion I asked for a guarantee which he flatly refused. Instead demanding money be paid within 24 hours of the job being completed. Tried to appease his unreasonable and aggressive attitude but instead he just escalated - contacting an elderly tenant in the house saying that he would come down and rip the showers out and turning all water off. The next day even turning up and hanging around outside so I had to report to the Police. Based on his messages I would say he has a chip on his shoulder over anyone he deems more successful than him - AVOID.
Yet another 5 star review and well deserved, yes these 5 star reviews are real. I live on the Isle of Wight and needed a plumber urgently while I was cat/house sitting for my daughter and son-in-law, Matt did not disappoint. He understood the problem, educated me on what needed to be done and then came back, going out of his way a few days later to fit a new tap, as a surprise homecoming for them. Kind, attentive with transparent hourly/booking fee then 1/2 hourly rate. He is well worth a call as he prefers smaller jobs to larger ones, so you could be as fortunate as I was. Will definitely use again and recommended to my Southsea family. Thank so much Matt, it’s tradesmen like you that make the difference…

Sent message on a Sunday afternoon. Visited on Monday morning as promised and resolved leak which was under panelling running between bath and toilet. Also was an issue with the silicone which was resolved. Priced as promised with reasonable cost for items purchased outlined in terms and conditions. Honest, professional, down to earth vibe. Great Service!! Friendly, Fast and Professional. Had a really bad leak that exploded from under the sink just before I had to leave for work. Called the Plumer out, and he was there within half an hour. He fixed the leak and sorted out what caused it, and in the end from first calling him to the job being finished only took 1 hour. Couldn't have asked for anymore. :)
I needed a new shower mixer unit fitting. Matt came within 24 hours and fitted it within the time specified. He discovered the previous plumber had not secured the previous unit to the wall and rectified that. No call out fee and a very reasonable hourly rate. I shall certainly know where to go for future small plumbing jobs.

I needed a plumber to check for a leak because there was a damp problem, and the damp company wouldn't undertake any work until the problem was resolved. When I contacted Matt, he offered to visit the property and provide me with a free estimate. I found Matt to be very trustworthy, which is difficult to do when you are not present at the property. He did exactly what he said he would do, and I was pleased to see that he did not overcharge me and that he also repaired a leak in the bathroom that I was unaware of. I've already have recommended Matt. Thank you very much.

Booked Pompey Plumb ltd (Matt) to install a new radiator we had purchased (work included removal of old radiator and additional pipework to new).
