Matt & team did a great job sorting out our heating - putting in new radiatiors, replacing microbore with new 15ml pipes, and installing an unvented hot water cyclinder system. Matt has a high attention to detail, good communication, and also made sure we were happy with everything & knew how to use it. We wouldn't hestitate to use again, or recommend to others.

Matt came to diagnose and rectify an issue I had with my Vaillant boiler. He was easy to contact, responded promptly, and was able to fit in an initial appointment to see what was causing the problem. There were a couple of possible problems so he did some intermediary work which meant we would hopefully know which it was. He came back the next day to reset the boiler and then ordered the parts. 3 days later, with the parts in hand, he returned to complete the work. I have always found Matt to be helfpul and respectful. He listens to concerns raised. There was a slight problem after today's visit but when I messaged he called back and we chatted about why this might be happening - we were able to follow his advice and it was sorted quickly. It was not caused by an error on his part, just linked to a build up of air in the system from the water being turned off earlier. I have been using Matt for several years now and would recommend him if you are looking for a reliable gas engineer.

Matt came round at really short notice in the middle of winter when we had no heating. Despite the boiler needing a replacement part, Matt got the boiler working for the interim period while the part was being delivered. Matt came round as soon as the new part was delivered to fix and service the boiler. All working well again. Would recommend Matt to friends and family.

Matt fixed my boiler , he located the two leaking parts looked up the price and availability gave me a price ,£296 and ordered the parts immediately and subsequently installed them successfully when they arrived In contrast to a previous company who advised the parts were no longer available! and I needed a new boiler at an estimated cost of circa £4,000 Matt is a genuine honest very efficient engineer who is happy to help his customers without ripping them off.I highly recommend his services Jeff Loomes

Moved into our house which had been renovated by the previous owners, hot water seemed to be capped to ‘warm’ at best and I had no idea what had been done. Matt was really professional, worked out where the issue lay, replaced a faulty part then and there and checked the rest of the system was running well. He was also very patient with me asking a million questions about how our boiler and hot water cylinder worked. Would 100% recommend without hesitation.

As well as completing the job, which included very prompt communication, Matt is a Professional and genuinely honest guy. Whilst I thought I just needed an oven plumbing into the gas, Matt quickly determined that my electrical supply wasn't suitable, and told me he wouldn't feel honest charging to connect the gas prior to me knowing if I could sort the electrical. He then recommended an electrician, and we agreed to contact again in the future. After the electrical had been sorted, Matt then got the work done quickly- he was up front with his fees - which were actually a little less than other local quotes - and he was also more than happy to chat through my questions on the gas installation, and recommendations for other plumbing issues about the house. Prompt communication, punctual, honest, and professionally completed job. Fully recommended.

Matt installed our boiler and radiators for us in 2021 and has been servicing the boiler every year since. His work is of a high standard and I would throughly recommend him very professional and a throughly nice guy.

We contacted Matt from Hutts heating based on experience from a previous visit. On this occasion we were looking for a professional who could help us with sourcing and fitting a new Sink/tap assembly within an existing worktop. We also required installation of a new Gas hob and electric oven and a new toilet. Matt has a very professional approach and explained in detail what would need to be done in order to fit the new sink. In this case we were changing from plastic to stainless steal which was also slightly larger, so there was a requirement to enlarge the existing hole. On completion of the new fit, Matt made absolutely sure that there were no leaks and that the area was left clean and tidy. Based on our experience, we would fully recommend Hutts heating to anyone who requires a professional plumbing solution.

Contacted Matt (Hutts Heating) recently as I had seen other very good reviews and recommends. I had a problem with a leaking hot water tank. Matt came the same day, diagnosed the problem, gave me an estimate, ordered parts and fixed the problem all within a week. Excellent service, kept me informed all the way through, very genuine person, would highly recommend.

Matt came round to look at a leaky radiator for me. He was really quick to respond and also to diagnose and sort the issue. He's super friendly, very respectful of your property (good around my nervous rescue dog too) and even cleared out the radiator for me as it was quite noisy and gave advice on boiler servicing and a potential thermostat issue. I utilised Matthew Hutt's plumbing and heating services in October 2024 as part of the refurbishment of a 1939 town house in Portsmouth that I managed. 4 replacement radiators, elimination of lead cold water main and replacement with copper/plastic, replacement of internal gas supply pipe, boiler service, has safety certificate. I found Matt to be an excellent communicator especially since the house was unoccupied and he was there on his own. Daily progress updates we particularly welcome. His standard of work is first class, very neat pipework even the out of sight stuff. I have no reservations at all and highly recommend him. He is now my go to heating/plumbing engineer.

Amazing company. I have a large house with complex heating and water management. They simplified the complex systems and this has provided significant savings on my gas bill and I now control 3 heating zones and my hot water through my mobile phone using the ‘Hive’ App. They also produced schematic documentation for the complete system.

Brilliant! Had amazing customer service from Matt-came out to me on a Sunday afternoon when I called in a panic as we had no hot water-sorted a temp fix and then back a few days later with a part-totally honest about what needed doing and didnt rip me off. I would recommend to anyone who wants a decent job doing by someone who has experience and is good at their job-not your typical portsmouth plumber whos out to make a quick buck and you never hear from again when theres a problem.
