I commissioned Rowlen to replace an old boiler and immersion heater with a combi boiler. I'm happy with the quality of the work and the level of communication both before and during the job.
We had previously used two of the large companies for servicing our boiler. We were fed up with expensive monthly contracts. We discovered Rowlen through a local trade advert and decided to give them a go. Everything has been handled efficiently from the initial booking process (online and easy), to the actual boiler service (efficient and friendly), to the invoice stage (very reasonable). We are so glad we have discovered Rowlen for our annual boiler service and will be recommending them to all our friends. We have a floor standing Worcester boiler.

Booked a service and the technician stayed for 15 minutes max, saying that the monobloc was broken and nothing could be done. I have then been quoted £400+ to fix it, without any details of the work to be carried out, the price of the monobloc, etc. Then I have been invoiced £115 for the service where nothing has been done and pretending that the technician stayed for 40 minutes. Another plumber did the job for £180 VAT included…

I liked that I could make an appointment online for my boiler service. I was contacted a few hours later by a very polite real person to change it but there were options that suited me. The man who came was 30 minutes late but that doesn’t differ from most other people who come to service and fix things. He was polite and quick. The billing was a little slow but I was sent the certificate before that when I asked for it (we are moving house). An altogether very positive experience and I would definitely use Rowlen again.

I booked a routine boiler service through Rowlen Boiler Services. Unfortunately, the first two attempts to service my boiler fell through as the engineer booked to do the work had fallen ill and communicated this to Rowlen at late notice. On both occasions I was called by Lucy at Rowlen who was very professional, apologised profusely and made suret to rearrange my appointment which was appreciated. It is of course frustrating to arrange your schedule to WFH on a given day for a booking to have it cancelled at very late notice but illness happens and the team at Rowlen dealt with it well. I finally had my service on the third attempt and it went smoothly. Further good customer service (in a not ideal context) came in the form of a discount for the service which the team at Rowlen volunteered. Despite the cancellations I experienced I still had a good experience with Rowlen due to the good customer service provided by Lucy and team over the phone as well as by email. I would use them again.

I needed a boiler service and a valve replacing on a radiator. It was easy to arrange the work and Lucy in the office was professional and helpful on the phone. Henry arrived on time and was quickly to work. He fixed the valve quickly; efficiently and with no fuss or mess. He was always polite and explained what he was doing. He also explained that somebody else would come along and do the boiler service. And sure enougg Gavin came along a little later and sorted the boiler service. He was friendly and helpful; explained what he was doing and why. Pointed out a couple of things to look for in the future. I first heard of Rowlen because the owners are friends of friends and really glad I did. We have been using them for boiler services and various other issues over the past 7 years both with the very old boiler at our previous flat and various radiator and thermostat issues in our new house. It is very reassuring to have someone reliable to call on when things go wrong.

The two guys arrived about 9am and they immedately set about servicing the boiler which was 9 years old, it passed all the checks and the gas was switched back on just after 10am which in this 0c outside temprature which was good, they updated all the paperwork records, replaced all the panels etc so you could not tell they had been. Very pleased with it all

Had an ongoing EA 227 fault on my Worcester Greenstar boiler and these guys sorted it perfectly. They replaced the ignition electrodes and transformer, explained everything clearly, and tested it all before leaving. Boiler’s been running fine since.

I really can not thank rowlens enough for sorting out my underfloor heating, Its never been working correctly but the engerneer they sent fixed my heating so efficiently and lets me know everystep of the process throughout, The office staff was amazing and was actually alot cheaper than i was expecting. I went with the company becasue of all the postive reviews and i was not disapointed. They really made the christmas better and so much more cosier than ever before. Thank you rowlens
Booked a routine underfloor heating service for a system that was working beforehand, aside from one area in the dining room. Following the visit, most of the heating stopped working, despite being told by the engineer that everything was fine except for the dining room and WC. The WC had been working correctly prior to the visit. This left the property without heating in the majority of areas with underfloor heating installed Communication and follow-up were poor, and I was later quoted over £500 for repairs to issues that did not exist prior to the visit. I was also sent an invoice for the initial visit, which Jenny later apologised for and confirmed had been issued in error. The office staff were helpful and understood my concerns. I was forced to instruct another independent company, who restored the entire system in under an hour at a much lower cost. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience, caused significant inconvenience, and the standard of service provided by the engineer was questionable. I would not recommend.

Just had a new water cylinder installed by Rowlen. 3 lovely guys installed it and took most of the day but they showed me what they had done , cleared up after themselves even got my hoover out and left me with a lovely warm house. Would thoroughly recommend them .

Booked to have an under floor gas pipe capped off, they arrived at 10:15, it was a tricky one but got to work, took aa lot longer than first thought but still only charged what they quoted for 1 hours work, very please.
I chose Rowlen on the basis of their reviews and also on price - which was competitive, without being worryingly low. They actually bothered to quote (which other smaller suppliers didn't do - too busy, I guess). Their recommendations made total sense, as I was considering switching from a conventional to combi boiler. The engineers doing the work were very friendly and helpful and took just 3 days to completely remove the old boiler and tanks and install the new. The disruption was minimal, especially compared to what some other companies had been suggesting. I'd definitely recommend Rowlen and will be using them for the annual servicing, too.

A very competent and professional engineer arrived on time and repaired a broken thermostatic valve and fitted a replacement shower screen. The work was carried out on time and the bathroom was left tidy with all packaging bagged up for disposal.

Tgis was the first time i used Rowlens and i do not regret my decision at all. Helpful, polite, timely, honest, efficient and clean describe this company. The job was a new high efficiency domestic cylinder install and resiting of cylinder and heating controls and removal of the loft tanks Yes a few small snags but only to be expected on this type of work but all resolved quickly. I will use Rowlens again and would recommend them.

I am very pleased with the professional service I recently received from Rowlen Boiler Services. I live in a block of 80+ flats in Sutton, Surrey and experienced a boiler which suddenly stopped working after being fine for years. Rowlen were very professional at every stage and attended quickly later that week - they also explained clearly their very reasonable charges for the visit. They arrived promptly on time and were friendly and professional and whilst the issue was diagnosed correctly by their engineer as a building power fault exclusively cutting off power to my boiler - frustratingly turned out a lever had been switched outside my flat by a third party! , this was not known by us at the time - due to strict building management control, Rowlen could not get access to the control area to fix it - not their fault at all (to fix it I had to get the far more expensive engineer co the management co use who had the necessary access in the end) I would not hesitate to recommend, or use Rowlen again (assuming it is not a building power issue - like in this instance) - and would highly recommend to anyone in Sutton or the nearby areas.

When Gavin came to service my very old Potterton boiler, he was very knowledgeable, professional, thorough and friendly. He is the first boiler/heating engineer who took the time to explain (in simple terms) how best to set boiler/heating etc with and old model such as mine to maximise its most effective and safe performance. I stumbled across Rowlen by chance when moving to a new area, and there is always the fear when doing so that you don’t know quite what you are going to get! My fears were put to bed the moment I heard back from Rowlen; Lara was so helpful answering multiple questions of mine via email. I had my old boiler & gas fire serviced when moving into my new property, and since then have had my boiler replaced by Rowlen with a far smarter and efficient model. When returning from a holiday, I found that my boiler (the old one!) had overheated and reset itself as a precaution, unfortunately resulting in no hot water. Tommy was so patient whilst he FaceTimed me to help me troubleshoot the problem and avoid a call out. I have since recommended Rowlen to my sister & her partner who have also used them, and have been very satisfied too. I cannot recommend them enough-you are in safe hands!

We approached Rowlen to remove old large commercial boiler and replace with a boiler from the top of the domestic range. The work also required total overhaul of piping valves pumps heat exchanger and the installation of a convector rad. Compared to previous experiences the Rowlen company were extremely easy to communicate with and spent time to visit and discuss requirements. The installers were punctual, pleasant, polite and professional in all respects. After installation returned to check and remedy any small snags... Would definitely recommend. D.P.

They've revived our underfloor heating that had been problematic for years (and beyond other firms to repair), and replaced our boiler promptly after it's sudden demise. They've invested time in understanding how our plumbing is set up, and then provided clear guidance and advice on what options were available to us. Rowlens updated my central heating system in a very skillful and professional manner. Tommy, Charlie and Gavin worked very hard and energetically to undertake a number of awkward jobs to achieve a good outcome. They had important tasks to fit a new gas pipe from a downstairs gas meter to where the new boiler was fitted. This was upstairs in a airing cupboard and they managed that with very little room to work. In addition they had to lay pipes to a new flue in the roof.In all I was very impressed with their work and have to thank Tommy and his team for their commitment to finish the job. Thanks also must be extended to Lara ( Office Manager ) who keep me informed at all times and was always available at the end of a phone. Rowlens overall achieved more than my expectations and I would certainly recommend them for any similarly projects. John Tucker
Rowlen removed existing and installed new kitchen oven and hob units. Old unitsd taken away. Work was done in good order, made adjustments to ensure fittings were up to date and tested system well. Attitude of workmen was friendly and professional and very helpful office backup.
Lara was charming in the office and Charlie came promptly on the day to service my ancient boiler. They couldn't have been friendlier or more efficient and I will definitely be using them again. Old fashioned service at its best.

We had a great experience with this company from start to finish. They answered the phone promptly and despatched a Team of Engineers to Investigate a Boiler failure the same day in the height of the Cold Season Last Month . When it was determined that our 20 + year old boiler was beyond economical repair , they designed a conversion from the conventional Heating system it was part of to a state of Art , Efficient, 10 Year waranteed App controlled one with practically all major components ie boiler , loft tanks and Hot water cylinder replaced / removed respectively. Associated piping had to be modiefied to cater for the new system. The 3 full day installation was done promptly in a tidy, efficient manner. All The certificates and warrantees registered and copied to us for our Peace of Mind . Strongly recommend Lara, Tommy and their team at this Business .

My mother (85) has recently been discharged from hospital after major hip surgery and woke yesterday to find that there was a fault with her heating and hot water. She was unable to re-activate them from the controls and called Rowlen Boiler Services who have been her service provider for a number of years. An engineer called to reassure her that he would be with her in a couple of hours and, yesterday afternoon, despite the adverse weather conditions and being inundated with calls, he visited and solved the problem. My mother received the usual professional and attentive service that we have come to expect from Rowlen and we cannot recommend the company highly enough.
