Went in to sorce a kitchen tap cartridge. The staff were exceedingly helpful and they supplied me with a cartridge that did the job. Brilliant.
Tried all the usual big company’s ie, screwfix, plumb centre maxwells couldn’t help with a pair of dripping bathroom tap cartridges, walked in and greeted hello how can I help, I showed the lad the cartridge I needed and he replied we’ll get you sorted. He brought out big selection of all various sizes and managed to match up valves that would do the job but needed a bit of the splines trimmed off to make perfect fit and some shorter screws, he then went into the back and cut them down for me. Worked perfect when I got home to fit them, would highly recommend this business. Went out his way to help, thank you!
I'm a DIYer .......I'd been to one of the national plumbers merchants but their advice was 'limited'. So, I started looking for independent plumbers merchants in the hope I'd get a more personal service and advice. And I stumbled on these guys over 10 miles from where I live. Anyway - long story short - if every company did customer service like these guys the world would be a much better place!! The service was exceptional - certaiy a rarity these days. So, no hesitation try and support McFarlanes and companies like them.
Opted for this local firm because of other previous reviews and I was delighted with service; advice and explanation - super. Highly recommend.
Sell all the speedfit pipe connectors in bulk or singles and pipe by the metre in all sizes !!! Perfect for the odd job, first time I've been today ......it's now my no 1 go to for plumbing supplies ....HIGHLY RECOMMEND
OMG, these guys are saviours! I was recommended that this firm would probably be the only one in the region who would have the tap replacements for an old mixer tap. They were right!! Dan (I think) then went above and beyond to make sure he provided me a few additional washers to make sure the new ones would fit the old tap perfectly. I couldn't recommend this firm more highly!!! Needed a plumber/ heating engineer, I was given a mobile number for a plumber a man named Peter, he came out immediately, very knowledgeable. Just been to Macfarlanes after days on Internet and plumbing shops remembered this place trying to get new Belfast sink waste and lo and behold they had one and very helpful staff will certainly recommend and keep them in mind for future service thank you.

Needed a new cartridge for a kitchen tap. Second store following poor first attempt. This store was quick, polite and knowledgeable. Got me out the door with what I needed and parts were good value. Fitted on return and annoying drip is now just a memory.
We had a leak on our shower bar. Took the bar into Macfarlane expecting to buy a new one. In no time at all the excellent staff took the existing bar apart, fitted a new cartridge at minimal cost. Always the best customer service given at this great business. Highly recommend

Attended here today for the first time and must say I was most impressed with member of staff dealing with my request. Even although I wasn't sure what I wanted he was able to point me in the right direction and produced exactly what I was looking for. Price was better than I expected and service first class. Travelled 30 mile round trip after local plumber said they would have parts I needed. Been constantly having to change gland seals on bath mixer taps. Only in shop 5 mins gave me replacement. Working perfectly. Great service
Very helpful this morning when I went in looking for a 3/4tap gland,lad says they were old and didn't have them in stock,he cleaned my old one down free of charge and now it's working fine, big big thank you!!!
If you have a plumbing issue there is no better place to go. All the staff know what they are talking about and are interested and happy to help no matter how much you are spending. I don't think any competitor can beat them on prices.
Had a problem with my toliet seat and could not find the right nuts to fit my seat, these guys have everything and I ended up buying better quality toliet seat fitting set. Thanks guys
Was advised to go there by a friend who is a plumber to choose our new bathroom and really glad I did , we got great advice from Gary in the showroom as to the pro's and con's of all the different units with no pressure at all just honest to goodness factual information, all the staff were brilliant and helpful not pushy as in some places . Now that our new bathroom is fully installed we are absolutely over the moon with it all , the quality of the items we chose is excellent and I can whole heartedly recommend this supplier .

Absolutely fantastic place - just been in and had great advice about a heating system without any ‘sales’ talk. The guy advised me to go to the water board first to explore cheaper solutions, rather than sell me the expensive pump system I came in to enquire about.

Excellent service guys and thanks for the great advice. We wanted new radiators, and a outside drain moved, give the guy a list of parts and pipes required to complete both jobs , minutes later radiators ordered all other items sorted , (even said if we didnt use everything to take it back for a full refund) Will definitely be returning and will recommend you to our friends and family
Needed a part for our wc and had tried all of usual diy and plumbers merchants in the Tyneside area without success. When I was in one of the plumbers merchants a tradesman recommended this business - informing me that "if they don't have it, no-one will". I took the old part with me and within two minutes of asking for the part I was walking out the door with exactly what I needed. The staff member was really friendly and super efficient. I will definitely be back in the future and would recommend the business to anyone.
