Thompson-Smith (Colchester) Ltd

We had the pleasure of having Brad and his team totally redo our dated bathroom. From having the floor up to redoing the pipes and sort out the squeaky floor, to plastering the walls and all the finishing touches. Such an experienced and professional company throughout the whole process, they were all very helpful, especially John who was on site most of the time throughout the project. Nothing was too much trouble. It's the little things like putting carpet protector down and even have someone clean the bathroom before it was handed over to us fully commissioned. Having Brad project manage the whole thing took the stress away from us, all we had to do was say where we wanted specific things put. Highly recommend Thompson-Smith for your next project, you will not be disappointed. Thank you.

Highly recommend Thompson-Smith plumbers. We are extremely pleased with the end result, Brad ,John, Richard and Callum are extremely professional and skilled at their job, very polite and left the job every day clean and tidy. We will definitely be using them again and recommend them to our friends.

This is the second time I have trusted Brad and the amazing team with a project on my home. It is also the second time I have been absolutely wowed by their work. They have been exceptionally accommodating to me and my family while having to reshuffle for the work to be done, as well as a good laugh and always trustworthy. The gents were completely flexible, and I didn’t have to think twice about going to work as I knew my home was in safe hands. I would never think about going anywhere else and would recommend to anyone else who needs work done in their home.

We had a great experience with Thompson-Smith. We had some plumbing issues and they were very organised with time scale, very quick to fix, and outstanding work. We had been recommended by friends and I could not been happier. Any issues I will have in future I will definitely come back to get their help. Truly recommend their services! Collin who attended us very good! 👏

Brad and his team did a brilliant job on replacing the boiler and everything that involved. Tidy, efficient, I knew in advance what to expect, great communication the whole way! My go to for any plumbing job and I also use this company for my parents house! Trusted and would recommend any day!

Having had Brad and his team working at our house for several weeks, completely replacing 3 bathrooms and radiators throughout, as well as many other smaller jobs, we could not recommend them highly enough. From design to completion, we are extremely happy with the whole process, and thrilled with the results. All of the team were highly professional, friendly, and went above and beyond to help us achieve the high standards we were looking for. We felt relaxed having them in our home, in what would have normally been a very stressful situation, which speaks volumes about the team. Everything was clearly explained to us at every stage, and the job was finished on time. At the end of each day they cleaned up any mess made, which was much appreciated! We can’t wait to have them back, when we’ve saved up to do the kitchen!

Brad and his team have maintained my central heating and boiler for nearly 3 years. They are an excellent team - professional, hard working, trustworthy and helpful. They have undertaken a number of different jobs for my son and my mother as well and again, their work has been the highest quality. I highly recommend them.

Brad and his team refit a bathroom for me in a rental property after flooding from an upstairs neighbour, not only did they deal with everything to do with the refit to a fantastic standard they made the whole process as easy as possible, and since then they have done our yearly gas checks and any emergency works including a call our recently so our tenant had their hot water and heating fixed withing 12 hours of a phone call. Can't fault the service and will always recommend to friends and family

Brad, Callum and John were amazing, neat and thorough and super easy to work with a guy who is new to the Uk 🇬🇧🇿🇦 and new to all this central heating stuff … so patient with a customer that asks so many questions . Brad and his crew have integrity and delivered beyond what we expected, practical and honest advice which then gained more jobs that were easily done and costed fairly. Amazingly professional and prompt service .. thank you guys. ☝🏼💪🏼🙏🏻👌🏼Very happy with our Vaillant boiler and the way it was installed. Would highly recommend Thompson-smith. Going to engage again for a bathroom renovation, as they have proved themselves above and beyond.

Brad and his team identified a potential carbon monoxide leak on our boiler. After consideration of the age of the boiler and costs to repair we decided to renew. Brad recommended a Vailant boiler, sourced and replaced within 4 days. Fantastic honest opinions and excellent workmanship. Tidy, efficient and highly recommended. We have just recently had our bathroom completely refurbed by Brad and the team. We have no complaints: service, communication and the finished bathroom is top tier. Friendly, clean and efficient by all.

Brad and his team have done work for us for over 10 years, including fitting and servicing boilers (we've moved homes in this time), undertaking small plumbing jobs and larger work, most recently replacing our shower. The team are professional and tidy. As mentioned in previous reviews, Brad is good and listening and understanding the problems and to try and find a solution. I would have no hesitation in recommending this company to others, and have done so previously.

Great service from Brad and his team!! Our new bathroom is wonderful and everything from start to finish was great. They made sure everything was tidied every evening, and we couldn’t fault them at all. Highly recommended.

A great company which complete a job with the customer interest in mind. A hard working and tidy team who understand finishing touches. A returning customer who will use Thompson -Smith again. Extremely happy with both my bathroom renovation and unexpected plumbing needs

Over the last four years Brad and his team have completely replaced my two bathrooms and kitchen. Before starting on each room I explained what I wanted and Brad sorted all the trades required to achieve the finish I wanted. He gave me suggested options on materials and retailers where I might choose products and materials, be this flooring, instant hot water taps, worktops or tiles. Where a wall had to come down or plumbing had to be moved his team sorted all the internal and external work. What I really liked was both Brad’s ability to listen to what I wanted and his preparedness to solve issues that arose. All three rooms have received multiple compliments from friends and family who have seen them. Brad runs a great team who understand the quality of workmanship customers expect. Both bathrooms and my kitchen function just as I had hoped. If you want a quality finish I highly recommend this building firm.

We had our old boiler removed from the boys bedroom cupboard and a new boiler installed in the loft a few years back. Brad and his team did a fantastic job and left the place clean and tidy after their work. Brad continues to service the boiler each year and we have also used Thompon-Smith for other plumbing needs that we have had over the years. We would highly recommend Thompson-Smith and have done to all our family and friends.

Brad and his team ripped out and installed our downstairs toilet and I can highly recommend their services. They turned up on time, delivered what he said he would with great communication and great price. Highly recommend.

Brad come to us to help with a kitchen I was installing. Initially it was just to cap off, then re instate the new sink with a waste kit and new pipe work, however when I ripped the kitchen out a lot of the pipe work, the outside tap feed and waste pipes were in an awful state, I was tight on time but Brad sourced all the parts, and stayed until it was all renewed. He and his team was so polite, honest and accommodating it really saved us from a stressful situation.

We were so impressed with the service (and bathroom) we received with Thompson-Smith. Brad and his team are all very professional and friendly. They were quick to respond to any questions and the final finishings and quality of materials are excellent. We love our ensuite loo! I mean, look at it. Thank you, Brad!

We commissioned Brad & his team to strip out our bath and replace with shower tray and units. The team were professional in their work & communicated with all aspects very well. Would highly recommend.
