Manning Plumbing And Heating LTD - Colchester

We had an issue with central heating where the heating comes up only when the hot water is ON . Called Zac, he attended the same day, which we appreciate as it's hard to get an appointment with gas engineers. He looked into the issue first, then he said he has diagnosis fee, parts fee and the labour fee which is good. He said the actuator head needs replacement and changed it on the same day and set the hot water ON. His fix is done and the heating is up. We usually don't keep hot water ON. It works independently. So the next day we changed the hot water to timed mode but the heating went OFF. Called Zac again and he advised us to keep the hot water ON again, but we are not happy with this and told him repeatedly this fix doesn't work. He is not ready to listen. We are not satisfied with his diagnosis and called out a different engineer and he came and spotted the issue which is the communication between the receiver and the port valve is not working as expected and the port valve isn't moving flexibly. Changed both and the system works independently without having the hot water ON. I would strongly advise not to choose this company as the company failed to diagnosis the root cause of the issue in spite of being paid for the diagnosis.

Superb friendly service from Zac at Aquagas

We have had a number of issues with both our hot water and the heating system. Zac was able to find the root cause of the problem and went above and beyond to ensure it was completely fixed before signing the job off. Excellent service. I highly recommend AquaGas and would absolutely use again in the future.

Zac has carried out plumbing work on two of my properties and has been excellent throughout. He provided sound, honest guidance at every stage and clearly explained the best options along the way. His work is efficient, well organised, and he always minimises disruption to the customer, which I really appreciate. Reliable, knowledgeable, and easy to deal with — I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Zac for any plumbing work.

Very prompt and professional service. Came put last.minute on Christmas eve. Highly recommend.

Absolute lifesaver! Sorted problem less than 24 hrs from 1st point of contact. Zac is a lovely guy highly recommended thank you 😊 Happy New Year

Zac was extremely fast and thorough with his work. We called for an emergency service and he arrived promptly. He ensured that everything was handled efficiently and to a high standard.

What a legend! I rang Zac first thing in the morning, he asked a few quick questions over the phone, got a feel for the job, and was round fixing the problem in no time — no fuss at all. The best part? He sorted it without charging me a penny. Honestly, he really got me out of a pickle. I’ll 100% be using Zac again and he’s going straight to the top of my list for any plumbing needs. As I said, absolute legend. Phill

Zac was recommended to us for an emergency call out and by chance lived quite near us. He was round in under 10 minutes on a Saturday and was able to diagnose and fix the problem quickly. He stayed around to monitor the boiler and make sure everything was ok and his emergency call out fee was reasonable. Recommended.

Excellent and fast, identified the issue straight away and proceeded with the fix.great service, great knowledge base and a great price. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic service from Zak, quick response especially as it was over a bank holiday, friendly, professional service and fair price, can't fault him. I would highly recommend.

Boiler broke down Sunday. Zac came Monday, new boiler all fitted by Wednesday. Good service, competitive prices.

Zac did all he could to get my boiler going after not being able to get the parts anymore. Luckily he was successful.

Great service, would highly recommend. Was quick to identify the problem, order (and pick up) the replacement part and resolve the issue all in a matter of hours. Clearly explained the issue(s), costs incurred and next steps following the repair. Was the first time I’ve called upon Zac’s services and won’t be the last (although hopefully not too soon!)

Dishonest and over charged. Will try and keep it short and simple. Called to ask about a heater issue and a Honeywell port we needed replacing. Was told the call out call was £85, came to check our radiators then he said he doesn't have the Honeywell port so will quickly go home and pick up from his house as he has supplies at home - then came back and replaced. We were overcharged with our overall invoice. (charged £100 for call out call and over charged for the part double the cost) When we called to discuss, he then said do we want the £15 difference back and he then lied about saying the reason why we paid so much for the part was because he went to the shop to buy it (this was 8.30pm) I did not even want to waste my energy and argue to explain and call him a liar as he clearly said to me and my husband that day that he is popping home to collect the part. If we had some sort of honesty, we would have been happy to use again, so wouldn't recommend.

Zac did a great job replacing our old boiler. Quick, efficient and a good job done. Thank you!

Great service, very friendly and helpful. Will always explain his process and reasoning. Has helped us a lot over the last 15 months with our house renovation.

Zac is so knowledgable and is our go to guy for anything heating or plumbing related - we’ve used him since getting a service done on our boiler when buying our current house, so he knows our system, house and growing family! He always explains and shows what the issue is and is quick getting back to you. Thankfully he’s close to our age so isn’t going to retire too soon 😁 plus - he’s a genuinely nice guy. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to friends, family - or anyone in fact!

Truly exceptional. After what felt like an eternity of to-ing and fro-ing between reputable heating engineers who were unable to fix an intermittent heating issue, I contacted the team at AquaGas. They identified and carried out remedial action in a highly efficient manner, at exceptional speed and at short notice. I was kept informed of all issues throughout the diagnostic/repair process with an eye to ensuring that my costs were kept to a minimum. I, and my tenants, cannot thank them enough for the service they provided and wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone with heating issues.

I was given Zac’s contact number after being let down by a number of other heating engineers. His administrator was quick to respond to my online enquiry and Zac was with me at 8.00am the following morning. My heating was fixed by lunch time. I work with children and am passionate about teaching skills to the next generation, Zac had an apprentice with him who he spent time teaching as well as questioning his knowledge - it’s a small thing and irrelevant to my heating being fixed but I admired his desire to pass on his knowledge. Overall, I was very impressed with Zac’s efficiency and professionalism. He will be my go to heating engineer from this point on.

Excellent service. Professional and helpful in dealing with an unknown leak! I will definitely use them again & would highly recommend.

Fast, reliable, good price - always call Zac for your plumbing needs

Do not use this company!!!!!! They don’t tell you there is a hidden £50 charge just to look at your boiler, but add it to the invoice. They also don’t tell you in advance it is pay the same day. As soon as the plumber left I got pinged an invoice saying payment was due immediately and sent a text. Next morning less than 24 hours after job I got pinged more emails and text messages saying the bill was overdue and a phone call from the plumber asking why I hadn’t transferred the money. I said I would transfer money when my partner got home from a business trip. Very aggressive response right from the moment they ping the invoice over. When my partner queried the £50 charge just look at boiler I had not been told about and couldn’t find on website response very aggressive. Keep texting and emails in the evening and weekends!!!!!!! Check your charges with them before you let them come out!!!

Great to have a heating engineer you can trust 100% to do a thorough job. Zac explained what he was doing and why. The price was very reasonable for the work carried out.

Zac thanks for coming out so quickly and sorting the. Problem first class service once again,

My immersion heater was not releasing water to my hot taps. I rang Zak because of his great reviews. He arrived at the time we had agreed, his friendly and professional attitude were excellent. He was efficient in his task, and gave good advice to solve my problem. Half an hour later, I have hot water again, and at a better than fair cost. I am extremely pleased with Zak's service and would not hesitate to hire again. If there's anyone better out there, I would be very surprised.

Zac showed up when he promised to and provided unambiguous advice leading to the replacement of a boiler and hot water cylinder - which were obviously on the way out! The work was done promptly after acceptance of his quote, and Zac cleaned up afterward. His singing is an acquired taste tho' :-) I've no hesitation in recommending Zac for plumbing & heating issues.

Zac isn't a quitter once he has set his mind up on a problem, he will stay with it until it is sorted . I Would certainly recommend him to anyone who has a problem with all of central heating and plumbing aspects that are a worry to people. I have just seen this determination to fix my heating system and I have to rate him 5*****

Great service from Zac, told him on Friday we had a strong oil smell coming from central heating and he came first thing the next day to fix this and got all our radiators working again! Won’t be using anyone else moving forwards

Zac came to replace my faulty boiler, we just moved in and it was needed - he was very helpful in selecting for our sized home. When fitting the boiler, Zac was professional, efficient, knowledgeable and clearly experienced. He is a tidy worker, and takes great pride in his work. I have no hesitation in recommending him and his work.

We had a fault with our boiler today and had to call Zac. He was so helpful and tried to help solve the problem over the phone, however, did need to come out and fix the problem. He explained what he was doing and was very friendly and helpful. Would recommend and will use again if needed.

Very impressed with the knowledge Zak has accrued combined with his approach to customers. Would most definitely reccomend

Zac has helped me out with my plumbing and heating requirements on a number of occasions. Prompt response and high quality with a smile. Would definitely recommend!

Had to have an emergency call out and Zac was here quickly and dealt with the problem, giving us reassurance and came back within a couple of days to replace a part that he had to order, but he ensured that we were able to have hot water even while waiting. When he came back he explained everything and was friendly and professional and made sure everything was working as it should be before he left, even offering to be contacted if we had any more questions. Also didn't try to oversell to us and didn't try to find faults !! Definitely use again. Great professional service.

I have used Manning Plumbing and Heating lots of times now for jobs big and small. He is really responsive and reliable and I would recommend him to anyone. Zac is friendly and explains what he's doing as he goes along. Thanks for being there when I've had a few emergencies.

Excellent. Phoned about my toilet not flushing. Zac texted straight back, came round the same day and fixed the problem. Would use again.

Excellent efficient work carried out by Zak and Shay. Can highly revommend!

Zac did a great job - was super friendly and helpful, very professional - even explained what he was doing as he went along so that I could do it myself if needs be. Would 100% use Zac again.

Top service cant rate them highly enough picked up the job quoted within the hour and come round done the job quickly efficiently and to high standard even fixed another problem free od charge very professional and resonably priced will defo use again

Zac fitted my new shower and looks great. Very helpful and professional. Highly Recommend.

Prompt, efficient, does what he says he’s going to do. Explains everything just enough so you understand what needs doing without having to have a PHD in plumbing. All of this with charm and humour. It was a joy having Zach come to my rescue and fix the boiler. Don’t bother hiring anyone else. Zach is the man. I promise.

Zac recently installed our new BAXI combi boiler and we can’t praise his work highly enough. He arrived on the dot at the time he indicated and he left the work areas really clean and tidy after he finished. All the pipe work was done to a really professional standard and I will have no hesitation in booking Zac for future plumbing and heating work

Great service, very professional and house was so clean after a boiler replacement . The right price for the works . Recommended for sure.

He quickly did the job in professional manner . I highly recommend if any body plumbing and heating job to be done.

Purchased my first property recently and Zac is the first plumber out of 3 other local firms to resolve my issues! Zac took to time to investigate the problem and explain the solution. Will be recommending this service to all of my family and friends.

Zac was great, he came out right away for my Dad whos boiler had spontaneously broken in the Winter. It's a very cold house, so it meant a lot that Zac prioritised this to ensure my dad wasnt without heating for too long. Going above and beyond, Manning plumbing located the issue, ordered what was needed and fix this problem within a couple of days between diagnosis and solution. Highly recommend.

Friendly and reliable service, great communicator and good clean work - highly recommended!!!

Zac came on short notice and the service was excellent. Previously the boiler hadn’t been serviced properly after we had moved in but Zac and his team quickly and efficiently sorted it. Great service and very reasonable price. I will 100% use again!

Found Zac on Google as we were after a boiler service. Communication was fast and efficient. Zac quickly diagnosed an issue. Helped us to fix it and save money too. And performed a timely spot on service. He’s incredibly helpful, informative and detailed. Would definitely recommend.

We required emergency boiler repairs just before Christmas 2021. We needed someone very good to fix complicated problems that others had failed to resolve! We therefore chose Zac's company because it had received very high Star Ratings. Zac answered his phone and came out immediately. Our system is 1970s micro-bore pipes with a tricky new boiler - but this was no problem for Zac with his vast knowledge, experience and tenacity. He is friendly and easy to deal with, utterly reliable, extremely knowledgeable, efficient and practical - he succeeded where others have failed and I would thoroughly recommend him to you.

Was referred to them by another plumbing company. I was a bit hesitant but made the call. The duo of Josh and Josh came.. they called first and were on time. Reviewed what I needed and explained how to correct both issues. Great results and price. They even cleaned up and removed all their trash! Highly recommend!!

Great service at a reasonable price! I desperately needed a leaking hot water tank replaced and Zac managed to fit the job in earlier than planned. I was dreading it as the floors needed lifting up to replace the inadequate pipes but the team left the house looking exactly as they had found it, even arranging for a carpet fitter to finish the work on the day the plumbing was done. I highly recommend Manning Plumbing and Heating. Shannon in the office is superbly efficient too, getting back to you as soon as you email or phone. Great company and a very pleasant team.

Zac and his team installed a new boiler in our house and they went the extra mile to get the job done. Highly recommended, friendly, professional and hard working people.

Absolutely the most fantastic plumber ever, could not recommend highly enough. Ticks every box - timely, very well priced, professional and most cheerful plumber you could hope to meet! Thank you Zac for taking the stress out of water running down the walls this morning!

Used these guys a couple of times to sort issues with toilets and and showers, super helpful and fast service, most recently the shower had to be changed, they came out the same day the issue arose and instantly ordered a new one and was fitted 2 days later, cheers to Zak and Isaac for sorting me out! Michael Alexander

Very helpful & friendly. Happy to give advice & explain any problems. Fair price too. Would definitely recommend. Nice to see he trains his apprentice while working as well!

Thanks for all the help Zac, great friendly helpful and efficient service would definitely recommend for all plumbing and gas work

I would definitely recommend! I had no heating and hot water and they came out that day and sorted the problem! I then had a few issues with the boiler after and they got straight back to me, came round when they said they would and sorted that as well. Zac is very friendly and professional. Great service all round

Great service from Manning Plumbing. Efficent and professional throughout. Will use again in the future and would highly recommend.

Does a good job & reliable. Will use again.

Zac came in to help us out when the booked gas engineer was unable to come at the last minute. He came straight away to check out the job and then returned as promised the next day. This was a problematic job due to us having been sent the wrong parts, but Zac persevered and worked late to get the job done. I’m very thankful to Zac for sticking with it!

This is based on my experience. Would not recommend.

Absolutely fantastic serves ,polite went out of his way to explain what was wrong with the boiler and gave me options on getting my boiler to work. Will be calling Manning gas and heating serves if I ever my heating fails again 😊

ZAC, A very professional engineer, Very Polite, Lots of Knowledge, Very Trustworthy. Nothing is too much trouble, The Customers needs are most important. I would recommend this guy 100%. Hard working and reassuring. A credit to the Company.

Zac, along with Tom and Isaac recently carried out work within my property. At every step they have all been incredibly polite, efficient and helpful. It’s rare to always find good and honest tradesmen, but I couldn’t be happier with their rapid response and for providing my family and I with hot water and heating. The installation, workmanship and tidiness of the new boiler system and pipe work is impeccable. Great firm and would definitely recommend.

Great guys. Highly recommended

Very disappointed that this company took advantage of an urgent job that we needed doing and not only exaggerated the work that needed to be done and the time the work would take, but charged us an extortionate price. We reluctantly agreed to the price but when the work was carried out, it didn’t take the half-day as explained to us but in fact less than 30 minutes. In addition, we saw that the work was quite straightforward and not complex as we were led to believe. Would not recommend.

Reliable, polite, thorough, fair and friendly. My go to! Highly recommended without a doubt.

Zac, Luke and Louis have gone above and beyond, they are still with us at 9pm. The professionalism and dedication to their work is super impressive. Sorted my pubs problems. Top quality, never need to look anywhere else.

I was impressed how knowledgeable Zac is and how well his company works, he made a date and time to suit me and he was waiting on the door step as arranged. They are very friendly and polite and nothing is too much trouble, they are very clean workers. I even added another job and he was here within 15 minutes of phone call, I would strongly recommend his company and will be doing so myself again . His workmanship is second to none and when he leaves I know I hav'nt got to worry if the job has been done correctly , his prices are competitive and well worth every penny. See you next time guys

I called out this company to unblock my toilet. The man tried using a plunger on it but that did not work. Then he looked down the manhole and said that my drains had collapsed and that it would costs thousands of pounds to fix. He was unable to unblock my toilet but I was charged roughly £150 for this service that took maybe twenty minutes. The next day I called Anglia water who immediately sent out an engineer to assess my collapsed drain. They advised that the drain was not collapsed and that I had been misinformed. I called another plumber to unblock the toilet, and they used a pressure washer to unblock it successfully. This cost a further £140. I then called Manning to ask for a refund. I was advised by the owner (Zac) that if I could supply a report from Angia water that confirmed the drains were not collapsed, then he would refund me the money. It took a while to get the report from Anglia water, but when it arrived I emailed Zac to process my refund. He never responded to the email and never processed the refund. I am now disputing the charges with my bank. I do not recommend this company. They are dishonest.

Extremely happy with your work! These guys did a dirty job that everyone else did not want to do. For months we have been trying to book a plumber to fix a leak and after assessment noone came back... The guys were extremely professional, keping reasonable social distancing, did an excellent job very quickly and tidied up after that. Really thankful and will definitely use their services from now on!

I had a blocked drain which led to my toilet backing up. Exactly what you want in a family home in March 2020! I called Manning Plumbing and Heating not knowing if I would be able to get someone out at all but Zac was incredibly helpful and able to fit me in immediately. A "quick job" turned out involving three neighbours and numerous different drains which needed sorting. Zac came kitted out with everything he would need, kept his distance, mask and gloves while maintaining a professional attitude and stuck with the painful process of getting everything sorted! My morning Dad break can now continue in peace and without worry of someone walking in afterwards and seeing last night's dinner floating in the bowl. Very happy with Manning Plumbing and Heatings services!

After contacting three previous plumbers to replace a shower who never bothered to reply ,I was so happy with the person that did come lovely person to have in your home quick , professional ,clean and good price , Look no further this is the one .!!!!!

Does whats said on the tin fair priced efficient young man highly recoomended went that extra mile for xmas thank you so much 👌🤘🤘

Thought the weekend was going to be ruined by a leaking pipe in the kitchen but Zac was with us within 30 minutes of our call and quickly fixed our problem. Clearly a skilled tradesman and certainly value for money.

Very prompt service. Was there within an hour of call. Value for money. Very friendly and active team. Very much appricated. I will surely use this service again in future and recommend my friends.

In my hour of need I called Manning Services to help with intermittent no hot water in the showers of my guest house which was full of guests. Zac called back immediately and come later in the day as soon as he could and identified the problem immediately which had mystified previous engineers. He jumped in the van got an essential spare part. He fitted it serviced all necessary other parts effected and now the system works better than it ever has. Zac is n expert, experienced and a jolly lovely chap who made things seem easy.. and his price was very reasonable.

After consistently being let down by our previous heating engineer; we decided to try Zac, based on good reviews. He was organised, efficient and solved the boiler problem without any hassle. We have booked in our next annual service and will definitely call on him again for any plumbing or heating needs.

I contacted Manning Plumbing early one morning to sort out a central heating/hot water problem. Zac was at the other end of the phone and by the end of the day he had sorted the problem in a very professional and efficient way. We were extremely impressed with Zac and would not hesitate to use him again or recommend him. Thank you Zac.

Great service in terrible weather.

These guys are the best and most professional plumbing and heating experts I have ever found. Couldn’t be more friendly and helpful, very reasonable prices. With Mannings you get a proper thorough job with no corner cutting, unlike some of the cheaper ‘cowboys’ I will never go anywhere else again.

Sterling Job! Used for a Boiler Repair following a recommendation. Prompt attendance and rectified the issue, and provided a clear explanation of work completed. Would certainly use again and recommend to others. 👌

We approached Zac after being let down last minute by another Plumber. We needed someone to start asap, he quoted within two days, and started the following week. He replaced our old gravity fed system, back boiler and old radiators with a complete new unvented central heating system. The service was fast, to a high standard, and good value. He was able to meet our specific needs and dealt with minor snagging within 24 hours of being reported. I would highly recommend Zac and his company.

Came round quickly and didnt leave without my heating being on (he succeeded where others failed). Friendly and genuinely helpful.

FANTASTIC SERVICE. Zac and his team turned up when promised and completed everything i needed doing to a very high standard. The guys were very professional and done a brilliant job moving a couple of radiators for me, servicing my boiler and getting my heating working properly ready for the winter and also showing me exactly how to use my new programmer and wireless thermostat. When they left they made sure everything was clean and tidy and i had no unanswered questions. I thoroughly reccomend these guys, 5* service.

Mannings Plumbing and Heating were excellent and we would highly recommend them. Their response was fast and, despite an awkward leak to source, they persisted, resolved it and tidied up after themselves. I should also say that they were very reasonably priced.

Fantastic service from the beginning of the renovation of my bathroom to the end. Planning and design of bathroom was first class, I can't say enough about how pleased I am with it. Manning Plumbing were always punctual and helpful when choosing the "furniture". I highly recommend them.

Manning Plumbing is by far the best plumbing and heating company I have used. Zac is not only a very skilled, experienced and professional technician but also a top bloke. I have had him do two jobs, both were quite urgent and after calling several other plumbers (one who failed to arrive after booking a visit) I found Manning and Zac. He replied straight away and came out within 24 hours on both occasions. Today he made the impossible possible; he replaced a combination valve and the placement of the pipes and cylinder made it look, to me, like it would require cutting of pipes etc. He swapped it without any dramas and made it look easy. His pricing is absolutely fair and definately value for money. Zac, thanks again for such a great service and I will not be calling another plumber so long as you are around. I would highly recommend Manning Plumbing and Heating services.

Brilliant work ethic and professionalism from Zac. Not only was he precise with his work but also down to earth and friendly. I would not hesitate in calling on him again 110% sure about that. Thanks you Zac for the excellent job well done.

Quick, friendly and efficient service. I am very pleased with the standard of work and attention to detail in fitting my new shower and on another occasion sorting out problem pipe work. I would recommend Manning Plumbing and Heating.

Very punctual, professional service, highly recommended !

Excellent, honest pricing and fast response to messages.

Top quality service!

Zac gave an excellent professional service and we wouldn't hesitate to use him again! We were very impressed with his knowledge and will be contacting him in the not too distant future for further plumbing work.

Manning plumbing and heating replaced my old boiler and tank system with a great combi boiler, they were clean and tidy and very helpful, even kept my water on while taking out old system and fitting new one i would highly recommend them to anyone great job thanks.
