They were responsive, pleasant to have around, accommodating, and got the job done as quick as they could while negotiating the weird weather. We got our windows external decoration redone, not super easy with their size and position. Thank you!

I won't bore you with details of how good Ash and his team are at what they do. Many other reviews here will tell you all about that. I want to talk about longevity and trust. The Southsea Decorating Company have worked on different aspects of our house since 2019. We trust them to take care of our property and we trust them to use the best materials. We pushed that trust even further with our most recent project. We were off on holiday and had experimented with mixing some chalk pigments into base paint that Ash had kindly supplied. We left the team with specifications for three different colours and came back to beautifully decorated rooms, completed bang on time. Yeah, we trust Ash and the team to do a great job. So should you.

He worked incredibly hard all week, turning up early each day to get the job done and minimise disruption while our bedrooms were being painted. The preparation was outstanding and it really shows in the finish. The walls look immaculate, and all the old hairline cracks in the plaster have completely disappeared. The hand-painted stripes in the kids room are something special, a real work of art that has transformed the space. Ashley and the team were first class. He came and gave me a quote within an hour of me calling. We then agreed a starting date and his Team arrived on the day we agreed. The task was to redecorate two rooms and a hallway. They moved all the furniture and replaced it at the end of each day to minimise the disruption. Ashley and his team have been working for us for years from small jobs like repairing a gutter to massive jobs like painting our Victorian high ceiling rooms and repairing all the wood work. Moved into our house 7 months ago, and only then realised that all our huge downstairs windows had been painted shut and the sash mechanisms removed. Southsea Decorating have done an amazing job at getting the windows working again, and painting them - they look fantastic. So clean and tidy for the whole job. We recently hired The Southsea Decorating Company for a painting project, and I couldn't be more impressed with their work. We needed someone to paint our hallway (and associated woodwork/details such as the skirting boards, doors, door frames and ceiling), as well as our bedroom. From start to finish, the team was efficient, professional, and incredibly considerate. They worked quickly and effectively, ensuring that everything was done as soon as possible (within a week!), especially since my wife was 9 months pregnant at the time. Their understanding of our situation and their willingness to accommodate our needs made the whole experience stress-free. We had 5 of the guys over the course of the week and Ash checked in every day to see how my wife was coping with the paint fumes and if we were happy with the job. The quality of the painting was fantastic, especially given how dented and marked the walls in our house were, and the team left our home looking beautiful and clean. Ashley runs the Southsea Decorating Company. A small outfit with a skilled, pleasant and friendly team who take great care that they are providing the service required, and explain exactly what is being done and why. They were very responsive to any requests for changes or additions and I was pleased to see the time and trouble taken to ensure that preparation work was completed properly before the actual painting began. The term "professional" appears frequently in these reviews and it certainly sums up the approach taken by Ashley and his team. I was very pleased with the result of their work and their politeness and care shown while they were with us: nice prople to have around. There were a couple of (very) minor points at the end, but these were quickly and readily rectified by Ashley. I would certainly recommend them and would be pleased to use them again for any future projects.

Ashley and team have worked on several projects in our house over the years; they've done the exterior, the kitchen (including the units), the porch and now the hallways. Ive had The Southsea Decorating Company round to do two jobs and on both occasions he has been a pleasure to deal with. He has repainted two bedrooms, including redecorating the interior of the sash windows, and built some great bookshelves into an awkward nook. He is always happy to help with odd jobs as well and he offers really helpful practical solutions.

Ashley organised, plastering and carpentry before redecorating our lounge which he took lots of care and attention over. His conscientious approach to work and polite attitude made him a joy to work with. The work completed is to a high standard and I would highly recommend Southsea Decorating Company to anyone.
