Rushton & Company

We recently used this decorator and couldn’t be happier. From the initial quote to the final delivery, everything was quick, clear, and efficient. The work was completed to a high standard and the whole process was smooth and professional. Highly recommend.

Would highly recommend Rushton and Company. Simon and Sam did an amazing job getting our office space looking and feeling amazing. Very dependable with expertise knowledge.

Excellent. Thorough job and an absolute pleasure of a person to deal with!

Simon was excellent. Really committed to his craft, did a great job and gave realistic advice on what was needed and what wasn’t. He was also very reliable and responsive

Simon papered my attic walls with special silver backed wallpaper to prevent damp patches and then lined and painted. He did a very thorough and conscientious job and I am very pleased with the result. He was good to work with too.

Highly recommend Simon. He did an emergency outside painting job for us just before our house move. He went above and beyond, working round the weather conditions. Thank you!

Great job. Really reliable and did a wonderful job. Left it spotless afterwards.

Simon was an excellent choice for painting our outdoor woodwork. He showed an acute attention to detail and, after listening carefully to our wishes, provided a prompt, professional service.

Sorted out our bay window. Professional, focused but friendly. Job completed quickly. Looks good and ready for the winter. Before and after shots

Thanks Simon for a job well done, and done to a deadline. From the making good of the plasterwork to the finish of the paintwork we are happy with the results.

Simon was great from start to finish . His quiet arrived quickly and the job was efficient and to good quality . His apprentice was a very hard worker !

We had Simon paint our kitchen after a refit. Simon was friendly and very flexible with scheduling around our kitchen refit, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, the finished paintwork had what we felt were fundamental issues, including paint runs, painted door hinges, chips from tape removal, poor cutting in, and paint on new cabinets, flooring, tiles, plug sockets, and on the oven. The work did not look professionally done - I've posted a few examples. We raised our concerns and explained we didn’t feel comfortable having him return to fix things, given the overall quality of the initial job. Instead, we asked if he’d consider a price reduction and offered to send photos and videos of the various issues. Simon repeatedly insisted the issues were minor, despite ignoring our offer to send photos/videos of all the issues, and said he could come back and fix everything in an hour or so. He eventually told us to pay what we felt the job was worth. We proposed an amount which was agreed over the phone, and eventually settled on a reduced price. I'm not sure if this particular job was rushed given the other positive reviews, but unfortunately I can't recommend this company based on our experience.

Excellent job, really nice guys, very approachable, would recommend.

Simon painted and wallpapered a bedroom and several ceilings after a water leak. The work was of a really high standard and I am very pleased with the results. I can thoroughly recommend his work.

Simon made a lovely job of repainting the exterior walls and window surrounds at my house. I am proud of the way my house looks, now!

I have used Simon twice in my house in Leeds, great service, extremely friendly and would highly recommend. Before (with fireplace) and after photos attached

Fantastic work, very reliable. Would recommend

Simon worked closely with us whilst we waited for an ever changing moving in date. He communicated well and did the job in the amount of time he said it would take. The work looks great, Thank you!

Simon was very easy to deal with. Clear communication. I felt I could trust him.

Simon did an excellent job on a very tired, dilapidated house. It looks like a brand new house now. Good communication, very efficient job. Would highly recommend! Thank you Simon

A timely and reliable decorator. Repaired and painted water damaged walls . Did a good job.

Simon is a knowledgeable and experienced painter and decorator, whom we have used for many years. He knows the best way to approach each job and tailors his work accordingly. The quality of the work is excellent. And he is always pleasant and cheerful!

Simon has done a few jobs for me over the years. Always does an excellent job, is polite, courteous, tidy and fairly priced.

Simon undertook an exterior job using some specialised paint, a lovely finish was achieved and it was a pleasure to work with him.

Very happy with the exterior painting Simon undertook. Kept me informed and arrived when arranged.

Painted the exterior of a home in Adel. Good job, completed in a timely manner at a highly reasonable price. (makes a welcome change to the over inflated quotations regularly received for any work which needs doing) Happy with the final job and would happily recommend Simon.

Simon is a great decorator and would recommend him and use his company again.

Simon did a great job sorting out bay window exterior. Very professional, friendly and responsive when organising the work. Thank you!

It was a pleasure dealing with Simon, he advised me the whole way and did a great job of putting up some cornice in quite a tricky, old terrace

Excellent work provided by Simon. From the moment I got in touch with him till the end, he communicated well and was very informative. He did a fantastic spray on our wood fireplace surround and we would recommend him to our family and friends. Thank you for a wonderful job Simon.

Simon did an excellent of removing wallpaper from our hall, stairs and landing, in what I expected to be a very difficult job. He was friendly and easy to contact. Will be making use of his services again in the near future

Simon responded to a check a trade advert in a timely manner and booked the work in. He took his time with the work and did a good job and was tidy and professional. Thanks

Time waster lost 6 weeks he asked for video of Hall stairs and landing sent him with job details waited and waited I contacted him asking price and start date he said needed to few in person I waited and waited and messaged and messaged he finally came and said would send quote and start date and I waited and waited then messaged him and was told he didn't think he could do the fresco dado panal paper I said OK do the rest il do that myself he said OK and a week later I'm still waiting for a price and date so I take it that's a no then

Simon and team painted and wallpapered our living room. They did a fantastic job we are really pleased with it. Very professional and friendly would recommend.

This company (staff member using the name James) will bomboard landlords with messages on letting sites such as Gumtree etc - trying to convince them to use their services and don't like to be rejected/ignored. Given good tradesmen are professional and don't resort to this type of tactic - I would recommend you keep away from them.

Simon is an excellent decorator. Very friendly and thorough. Highly recommended. He has decorated an entire house for us.

Top quality job by a quality professional Simon and his team cannot be faulted both as a painter and decorator and an individual . Excellent communications from the quotation to the finished job , very reliable . Entirely trust worthy and very polite even the dog loved him Would not hesitate in recommending his Company again and many thanks

Simon was really helpful to us in choosing colours that would work for our home. He was good about working to our timescale and kept us fully updated with everything that was going on. Ours was quite a detailed job with lots of intricate bits but the end result is fantastic, really pleased.

Simon did a cracking job doing a full refurbished of exterior wood panelling and the paint work is stunning. It took time effort and a great deal of skill and the result is better than we ever imagined- thanks Simon Neil n Sarah - East Keswick

High quality work with a friendly and professional approach. Would definitely use again

Simon was contracted to refurbish 3 double Georgian 40 year old doors neglected over the years following consultation with various experts two of which suggested they should be replaced at a cost exceeding £4000. Rushtons carefully stripped off 5 layers of paint and after preparing, sanding and 5 new layers they were returned to as good as new. A job well done and all he needs is a couple of good coffees each day

Sinon did a great job of papering our back room. He was polite, quick, tidy and very reasonably priced. I will definitely be using him again in the future.

Simon decorated the outside of our house and also our neighbours. 2 fully rendered properties so this was no mean feat. He is reliable, friendly and the workmanship was excellent. Even cleans up after himself!! I would highly recommend.

Simon did a great job painting our bedroom and new kitchen. Good quality finish with a professional and friendly service. Went out of his way to get the colours we wanted and left the place clean and tidy. Would definitely recommend and would use again.

Simon is a great, reliable painter and decorator and a fantastic fella to boot. Work done to a high standard and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

Having had difficulty finding a painter and decorator, I stumbled upon Rushton & Company. Simon, was fantastic, answered all my concerns and queries, responded to all phone calls and answer messages in a timely fashion. The finish was great and without mess.

Simon did a great job both times he has decorated for us, including some very tricky wallpaper and some vibrant coloured painting. He didn't leave any mess and came back to finish up things when he said he would. Would definitely recommend him no matter how big or elaborate the job.

Simon did a great job with some tricky wallpaper. He communicated well and arrived and finished on time.

Professional , friendly service . Responded within hours to my urgent request following a small house fire I’d had and fortunately for me , were able to fit me a couple days later as they had a cancellation . Great decorator and job well done & very quickly too with no issues at all . Good price also . Highly recommend .

After using Rushton & Co 5 years ago to decorate our house before moving in it was a no brainer to use them again, this time to redecorate our sons bedroom. Great communication with Simon, left him to it while we went to work without worrying about anything. Great job again. We have and will continue to recommend.

After I was let down by another decorator Simon did his best to accommodate me in a quick and timely manner. He was very polite and pleasant and he did an absolutely excellent job at a good price. I would highly recommend him and use him again in future projects.

Simon redecorated my bedroom, giving it a complete strip back to the 1928 plasterwork. The woodchip is gone! He filled, tidied and papered to make the walls look as good as they can. Plus a great paint job all round. He's lovely to have around, interesting to talk to and has great ideas for colour schemes. Definitely worth recommending.

Flat looks great. Wallpaper the Icing on the cake

The standard of workmanship did not compare with the high price charged for the work done we would not use him again.

This is my first time using Simon and his team. From the beginning Simon was great with communicating with me and providing detailed quotes to fit our needs. The standard of finish was to a high standard and we would not hesitate to use him again.

Simon and his team have done a fantastic job of interior painting three rooms in our house. Very high quality of work and easy to recommend. They filled holes and cracks and the final finish is great. Work was done promptly and he was happy to accommodate changes in schedule without issue.

Very prompt and professional proposal and good communication before starting. Excellent job, would recommend to anyone

A fantastic job by Rushton & Co - interior decorating, making good, filling cracks and lining a ceiling, emulsion on walls and ceilings with egg shell on woodwork, included very high ceiling. Simon was excellent with his advice and the lads, Adam and Richard did a superb job. Extremely tidy, polite and hardworking. Kept them hydrated with coffee (lots of sugar!) and biscuits. Always on time. Would highly recommend and will be using again. Thank you.

I would happily recommend Rushton & Company Decorators; they did a fantastic job on the exterior of our house which looks stunning now after many years of neglect. Adam and Michael were professional and courteous and worked efficiently, attention to detail was great. Thanks to all the team!

Excellent service from Simon and his team - quick, professional and great job. Would definitely recommend.

Just like to thank Simon and his team for doing an excellent job on my house. Simon talked me through room by room what needed to be done and carefully surveyed the building and suggested alternatives which saved time and money for me. The quality of the workpersonship was excellent and the finish has made my old tired house look new again. I would highly recommend Simon and his team, they did a top class job and were professional, tidy and clean through out the whole experience.

I asked Simon to come and have a look at some old oak panelling in my 1920's house as I was unsure what to do with it. He came out and advised us on the best course of action. Simon and his team kept me up to date with when they would be coming and arrived on time and worked hard to produce a great finish. The job was really time consuming and they all worked so hard to make sure we were delighted with the result. I was so pleased with the result that I have Simon doing further work in the house.

Simon and his colleague did a great exterior painting job of our house and provided a good professional service, I’d be happy to recommend him.

I wouldn't trust this guy. Gave me a load of rubbish leading me on and wasted my time. Reviews are probably fake

Simon did a fantastic job of renovating a couple of exterior wooden windows on my house. Stripping off untold layers of ageing, peeling paintwork and providing a sound basecoat and beautiful gloss finish I am sure they will be protected from the elements for years to come. I am very happy with the work done on both the windows and the old cast iron soil pipe and I would highly recommend Rushton & Co decorators.

Simon and his team worked on our house in May of this year with enthusiasm, diligence and an orientation to quality. They are an effective company who provide a first class service. Recommended.

Rushton and Co, what a find. Prompt and professional, on time and on price. Simon’s given our office a badly needed facelift and I couldn't recommend him highly enough. Fabulous service, wonderful job. Thank you.

Great service by Simon & team. Professional job completed to a high standard, decorating multiple rooms in our house. Highly recommended.

I have been doing a full refurbishment on a barn conversion, and had a very complex paint selection which involved mixing different quantities together to create different shades (up to three shades in each room). I have to say Simon and his team, Sarah and Richard tackled it head on, and have done a spectacular job.The quality of the job gives the barn a luxury and expensive look even though he charged a very reasonable price. I would recommend him to anyone as he is very hard working, tidy and great to work with. S. Nusenbaum

Simon and his team did a really great job painting the front and side of our 1930's semi despite the 2012 English Summer. So we have booked him to complete the rest of the house exterior next year (weather permitting) as long as his dog is available too.

I contacted Simon after having had a terrible experience with another decorator. Simon and his team were able to complete the work needed within a week of contacting him and the finish is of a very high standard. I wish I had used Simon in the first place. I have recommended him to both family and friends and would not hesitate to use him again.

Simon provided us with a very good service. He was extremely courteous and considerate (important when someone is in your home!) and when extra joinery work was unexpectedly required he was able to arrange for the work to be done.I would be very happy to use him again

Simon has done several decorating jobs for us now and always does an excellent job and is very tidy as he works. We feel we pay a good price for the high standard of work that is always done. Clare Greenwood

What a perfectionist - and a bloody good chap too. Simon painted the front door of my business - Brilliant gloss finish and the metal surface he had to contend with was a challenge. Great dog too!

Simon was recommended to me and has undertaken several jobs now, including, painting furniture and my children's playhouse. He works carefully and the work is of a high standard. He is a very pleasant and easy person. I would happily recommend him to friends and trust him 100%.
