Fantastic service from Ian at Max The Locksmith! He arrived right on time, was extremely friendly, and kept us fully updated throughout the process. He did a brilliant job repairing our broken composite door, which is now working like new. We would definitely recommend Ian and the team at Max The Locksmith to anyone needing a reliable locksmith, and we won’t hesitate to use them again in the future!

Max came out in less than 2 hours from my initial call (non emergency). Was super knowledgable but not pushy with next steps for our broken internal door. He got the door open quickly and was tidy and polite. Would highly recommend. Thank you Max

Excellent service! Dave was so helpful and professional. He fixed my bathroom door in just 15 minutes on the same day I called. Would definitely recommend. Thank you, Dave!

I contacted them in the morning, and they were at my house within four hours - even though it wasn’t urgent, I just needed my patio doors realigning. Excellent service: professional, reasonably priced, and they even fixed my loose door handle while they were there. They also gave me some helpful maintenance advice. I’d highly recommend them to anyone needing help with their doors or windows!

Ian installed a replacement lock for us. Very good service. Called to confirm appointment time. Explained what issue was with previous lock and also replaced door handles. Needed to do some work to the door to make things fit and also sorted hinges out. Very happy with the service. £85 for work plus cost of lock and VAT all seemed very fair.

Very professional and up front. Issue resolved really fast and door working well. Resolved additional issues with the door from the builders installation

Absolutely amazing service from Max. We had a letterbox changed and he also did a few extra jobs within the price. Extremely professional, and friendly. Would definitely recommend ❤️

Max has been amazing! The customer service has been second to none. I had a stressful morning being locked out, but Max came out as soon as he could and fixed everything. He’s also been so lovely with my dog! Couldn’t recommend him enough.

Phoned max up in the morning and within 4 hours, Ian arrived talked me through what was wrong with my windows, told me a price before he started work. The job was done within an hour and he gave me some good tips on maintenence of the windows. Very professional and highly recommended, Ian is a credit to the company, thankyou guys.

Excellent service and extremely easy to deal with! Took on board the issue we had with a window mechanism that is no longer available for parts and proposed the most cost effective and workable solution immediately! A window that we had been otherwise advised would need complete replacement was restored to ‘better than new’ operative state and at a sensible price. The repair was also conducted within less than 24 hrs, comes with an guarantee and extremely professional from start to finish! Highly recommend and will be using these guys again!

Excellent service. Came out the same day and managed to sort out both of our door problems. One door was completely stuck shut and needed a new lock and handles, while he also managed to repair the other door which was only opening halfway. Very knowledgeable, explained what had gone wrong and gave us useful advice on maintaining the doors and hinges in future. Friendly, professional and would definitely recommend.

Have been having problems with my uPVC which have been worsening of late. I had 2 handles that had given up the ghost and wouldn't work. I also had a patio door which was very hard to operate and emitted fearful squeaks when the handle was opened. I also had a uPVC door where the lock was stuck I chose yesterday to try to get sorted and didn't have much hope of success. Almost immediately I came across Max and was very impressed with the glowing testimonials. Didn't look up anyone else but gave Max a call. He sounded like he knew what he was talking about and was also able to give me an afternoon appointment. He duly turned up on time unloaded his tools and set to work. He'd already given me a likely cost. Within 2 hours the work was done, everything worked smoothly, there was no mess and the price was right. Great experience and I know who I'll be calling for any further window and door problems.

Swift and very efficient. Broken window hinges changed there and then with spares from van.

Very knowledge and professional. Max was able to solve my issue easily and also helped with potential future issues ahead of time. Won’t hesitate to use him again.

Prompt excellent, friendly and professional service, much appreciated. Max and Dave both were very helpful

Called up to ask for help with my elderly mum's broken key safe (very important for her carers and nursing team to be able to access as she finds it extremely difficult to get up to the door) and got a same day appointment within about 4 hrs. The locksmith showed up on time and was very professional, did lovely neat work, replaced the key safe at my request rather than changed the number which saved me hours of time and difficulty in trying to figure out how to update the code with all her service providers - and he left everything nice and tidy. Very impressed by how efficient everything was with a very reasonable price especially considering it was an emergency. It has really put both my mind and my mum's at rest knowing everything was working as it needed to be. We're both extremely grateful for the wonderful service - highly recommend!!

Pre- eminent service assured. Ultra - efficient and clear communication throughout, exceeding expectations. Enquiry was dealt with in expedite fashion on the same day. I booked Max the locksmith in the Nottingham area on a none emergency appointment, Max attend the property promptly the following day. Max serviced both my composite doors, replaced the door handles, realigned the doors one of which I couldn’t lock and replaced the mechanisms which were failing and cracked due to my stubbornness in using WD40 against the advice of the manufacturer, I won’t make that mistake again. Max educated me on the correct way to maintain my doors which actually work better than when they were originally installed. Thank you Max, kind regards Richard

What can I say? Sent a Whatsapp message at 8.20pm for help with two dodgy windows. Both fixed by ten pm! Ian was very friendly and professional. The problems were sorted for a good price and I have no hesitation in using the company again. I recommend Max the Locksmith to everyone!

Max came over to Cotgrave within a couple of hours of my call, to repair a faulty/worn out front door mechanism. He was exrremely knowledgeable, very professional and very polite. He did an excellent job and explained everything I wanted to know (I'm an engineer so I'm very nosey when it comes to this kind of thing). He had replacement parts with him already, which given the number of different doors/locks/jobs etc he encounters, was a pleasant surprise. The cost was higher than I expected but that was down to the parts as it's quite an expensive door. I would recommend him to anyone.

Same day service even on Sunday when I couldn’t lock the door. Who knew extreme temperature could cause a problem for a door that was iffy before

Great service today from Max the locksmith adjusting a composite door and fixing the catch. Great communication and a fast professional service. The price was very reasonable too. Thanks

Amazing service! A locksmith was with me in 30 mins. He resolved the issue with my front door quickly and easily he also made some adjustments to the fitting of my door....fantastic job...thank you 🙌

My previous lock from a well known brand failed unexpectedly where turning the key a bit too hard and snapped the barrel and engaged the safety feature where it locked itself in position. I couldn't remove the key or lock the door. I messaged Max on Saturday evening and explained the problem. He sent Ian around first thing the next day and promptly arrived at 8am as planned. Ian was a fantastic professional. He was meticulous and took his time. He had to drill the old lock out but in doing so did no damage whatsoever to the surrounding frame or latches. So only a new barrel was needed to be fitted. The APECS lock they fitted is great as shown in the photo. Very happy with the quality of work and will definitely use them again for anything lock related. Most definitely recommended.

Window lock repaired and window hinges replaced. Window now opening and closing easily and lock working perfectly . No mess and good price . Polite ,efficient workman.

I called Max on Sunday after a door developed a fault due to being misaligned. Within 45 minutes of the call Ian arrived and fixed the problem in no time at all and was friendly and professional while also giving advice. A great service.

Excellent service, very helpful. The multi lock mechanism had failed on our door locking us out. Max the locksmith sent out a locksmith the same day, very helpful and pleasant chap, he was able to open the door without any damage to the door or frame, removed the broken system and replaced with a new lock. I would highly recommend and definitely keep their number in my contacts

Problem with a front door not locking and had instant reply to request for a quote with a range of call out times. No call out fee and Ian the technician was superbly friendly and professional.

Ian came to the house within 1.5 hours of the call. Worked efficiently, was very polite and explained everything clearly. Its a pricey job but I expected that. And a 5 year warranty on the new lock. Would recommend. Many thanks to you Ian.

Excellent service provided all round. Very quick response time (came out same day) and no call out charge. Labour charges more than reasonable especially given no call out charge. Ian was very polite and realigned my door to perfection. Highly recommended.

Turned up 5 mins early which was a nice surprise. Assessed the job (broken lock on UPVC door) & gave me the options / prices based on new lock, new handle & even a whole new door before proceeding. Very thorough & professional unrushed job.

I highly recommend Max the locksmith. I was having a problem with a front door lock, rang max around 5pm. he diagnosed the problem and sent someone over by 11am the next day. Ian, the chap who came, was very professional. Explained the problem, told he how he would fix it, gave me various options according to price. turned out that my builders had put in an inferior lock and mechanism that had packed it in after five years. So I asked Ian about the locks on the other doors and he confirmed that those too were inferior. ended up having them all replaced. I now feel very secure. The price was entirely reasonable for 2.5 hours of labour, a mechanism and four locks and two door alignments. In an age of dodgy trademen really nice to find a principled company like Max's.

Fast response, clear explanation of what was needed, good pricing. 20 minutes later all fixed! Great service, many thanks. Thoroughly recommend.

Ion turned up very promptly, very professional and polite, and had to align the door and fit a new barrel to the lock. Supplied 5 spare manufacturers' keys as well. Absolutely top job, really got me out of a jam! Thank you Ion, and thank you Maxs locksmiths for providing an excellent service.

With it being later in the evening I was worrying about the door but Max and his team were super efficient and anything like this again (hopefully not), I would 100% get in touch with Max again. Thank you!

We called Max out on an early Sunday evening as my back door handle had broken. Max replied swifty to my message and was transparent about costings etc Max arrived swiftly and replaced the back door handles. Whilst here my husband asked if he could look at our front door, Max was able to give advice about the type of lock we had and what he would recommend. He was then able to replace the front door barrel lock and handles, ensuring our front door was secure. He offered sound advice about maintaining the door locking mechanisms as well as appropriate cleaning products. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Max to our friends and family! Thank you for a great job

Thank you Ian and Max for your exceptional service. You surpassed my expectations and completely took the worry and effort out of organising things in readiness for mum to have a care pendant and keysafe to go with it. I initially asked for removal of old key safes but you were also able to provide, fit and set up codes for the new ones. This all done in the space of 2 hours from my query. Reliable, quick, friendly & empathetic. After the most stressful week being misled by a cowboy locksmith, Max really saved the day. I called in a panic about my garage door lock which was destroyed by another locksmith and Max came with his trainee and fixed it in no time. He shared his location with me instantly and wasted no time travelling over to me in West Bridgford from the other side of town. He even engineered a part which was missing/damaged by the other locksmith on the spot! I know who to call if I ever need a locksmith in future and HIGHLY recommend to anyone needing a trustworthy locksmith. You will not be disappointed. Thank you so much.

Very quick to arrive, even on a Saturday evening, excellent and thorough service, reasonable price. I couldn't recommend this company highly enough.

Max has done an excellent job. Found him via Google and sent him a message on WhatsApp, two hours later he was with us. We had locked ourselves out with the keys on the inside of the door. Max was friendly and knowledgeable, easily able to demonstrate how the locking mechanism worked and what steps he was taking to open the door. He was able to open and replace the lock in under 40 minutes without any damage to the door or the mechanisms. His prices were very good and fair, I would have thought it would have cost more for the skills and parts, but found Max very reasonable. Max also went above and beyond by looking and working on the door and the frame as well, fixing a unlevel door and and making it far easier to close and so much smoother lock. Excellent knowledge and work ethic, quick and very well priced. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Super speedy service and managed to get me in the next day! Explained everything clearly to me so I understood what needed doing. Brill service x

I can’t recommend Ian highly enough. He arrived within 20 minutes of my call, which in itself was incredible. From the start, he took the time to explain everything clearly before doing any work and was completely upfront and honest about the cost. Ian went above and beyond what was required — he even fixed an issue with the door that he didn’t have to, simply to make sure everything was safe and working properly. At no point did I feel rushed or pressured, and his professionalism and kindness during a very stressful situation meant a lot to me. Truly excellent service from someone who clearly cares about doing the right thing.

Fabulous! 4.45pm and my UPVC front door handle stopped working to lock the door….One call and Max arranged for Ian to visit within the hour for a free of charge assessment and quote for the service required. Detailed breakdown of the parts and individual cost before checking I wanted to go ahead with the service. Ian then went to collect the part and was quickly back to fit. A full explanation and demonstration given before leaving the house tidy as it was. Peace of mind restored as Ian left. Professional, respectful and courteous throughout the whole process, thanks for being my 4th emergency service x

I cannot recommend 'Max' highly enough. I can see why he has so many 5 stars now. My daughter phoned in a panic as she couldn't get into her flat. We'd fitted what we thought were quality Yale locks only to find they had failed. She found Max on Google and gave him a call. He was at first on his way to another appointment but while we were searching for another company he called back to say knowing she was in a rush he'd managed to re-arrange his diary with his colleagues and was there in under 30 mins (with tracker view to see where he was). As others have said his knowledge of locks, brands and door security is impecable - He's a great teacher too - we learned so much abouth the rights and wrongs of security. He managed to sort the problem giving a running commentary what had gone wrong and fitted a brand new lock (from a choice) too with 5 year guarantee. Good sense of humour too! Hopefully we wont need him again in an emergency but would definitely use them again.

A great and prompt service from Max. He was very knowledgeable and quick to sort out our emergency lock troubles. He kept us in the loop when parts where ordered and offered a variety of options to suit our needs. Highly recommend 👍✅

Front door lock broken. Max responded to my call quickly and arrived in 30 mins with a live tracker sent via WhatsApp so I knew exactly when he was arriving. Knew the problem straight away and it was sorted in under an hour. Super friendly, explained it all and a really good job overall. Would highly recommend! Thank you!

Had a brilliant experience with Max the Locksmith in Nottingham. I needed a new lock replacement after my old one finally gave up, and Max sorted everything quickly, professionally, and without any fuss. He arrived on time, explained the options clearly, and fitted the new lock and provided series of keys as well, which was really useful. The quality of the work was spot on, and he made sure everything was secure before leaving. Really friendly guy too — genuinely one of the best locksmiths in Nottingham I’ve used. If you’re looking for emergency locksmith help, new lock installation, or replacement door locks, I’d 100% recommend Max. Great service, fair pricing, and proper peace of mind.

Efficient response to messaging and resolve the issue with our uPVC door lock quickly.

My back door was stuck and would not open, dave came out same day and sorted it in no time. Polite, friendly and reasonably priced. 100% would recommend

We recently asked Max to attend our address due to difficulty with closing our front door. Max was able to book us in very quickly and resolved our issue. He has a great level of knowledge, leaving us completely confident in him completing the work. If we have any further issues we will certainly be contacting Max again without a doubt! We would highly recommend him to anyone! Thank you!

Called Max this morning and he managed to fit us in the same day. Incredible service and it’s clear he knows his stuff when it comes to locks and home security. Thanks for the quick service & security lesson, Max!

Max the Locksmith was fantastic from start to finish. Extremely knowledgeable and was happy to share his expertise with a complete beginner like me! I couldn't be happier. Great price, great work and I can now leave my house again.

Max was over within the hour to remove a broken key from a lock. He removed it safely so I can purchase a new key, saving me money in the long run.

Brilliant and very efficient service, got the old dodgy lock on my front door replaced very quickly and the new lock works perfectly. Also came to the house fast after I called, and the price was very fair and affordable too. Would certainly recommend for anyone in Nottingham who is having trouble with their lock 👍

Max was very quick and efficient.

Max turned up at my house about 45 minutes after I called him. My front door lock wasn't working. Max pinpointed the problem almost immediately and between him and his trainee a new lock was fitted. Max wasnt happy with the way the door was closing so they made adjustments to remedy it. The door now closes much better. They are both very friendly and efficient and Max is very knowledgeable. Options were offered to me but no hard sell. I would definitely have Max back again for any door problems.

Brilliant service, an initial visit and work carried out all within a few hours of my first phone call. Excellent knowledge. Would highly recommend.

Great service, lovely guy, worked in the cold and dark to fix the back door and gave me some good advice to help prolong its life going forward. Will absolutely use again in the future. Best locksmith in nottingham.

Very responsive - was there within 30 minutes of our call when we locked ourselves out. Managed to get us in to the house very quickly, even though it was a very unusual and very old lock. Then replaced two locks to make us insurance compliant - Great job, friendly and professional. Thank you

Brilliant job making our house safer. Never had a locksmith in Nottingham before and Max was very knowledgeable, helped us change our locks and replaced a faulty mechanism. Thanks Max, will be using you again when need you

Max.. what a legend! Found myself locked out, and contacted Max on a SUNDAY. Immediate response & came out on time. Made a dreadful situation super smooth. Extremely professional and kind. Very reasonably priced & I now have FIVE new keys. Absolutely fantastic. Could not recommend enough. Thank you Max.

Can’t recommend Max The Locksmith enough. I called him out in to Kegworth near Nottingham for an emergency, he came quickly and for a reasonable call out charge compared with others. After discovering how easily our new build’s door lock could be forced. He arrived quickly, explained everything clearly, and upgraded the lock to a much higher security model on the spot. The quality of his work is excellent, and he clearly takes pride in doing the job right. It’s shocking how poor the standard locks were, but now I feel confident our home is properly protected. Fast, professional, and honest service – exactly what you want in a locksmith. Wouldn’t hesitate to use him again or recommend him to anyone needing security upgrades.

The locking mechanism on my front door was broken. Another locksmith has previously been out and removed the whole mechanism leaving it in a mess. Max was called at around 2pm on a Saturday and was here the same day. He worked wonders and fixed the door there and then. He's extremely polite and professional would thoroughly recommend

Can't recommend enough! Fabulous from start to finish! So professional, communicated so well! Thank you so much

Fantastic, work was done so well and so fast, he explained a lot of extra things too. Doesn't cost too much, and best of all, Max is just very friendly. Overall, a pleasure :)

I had an emergency with my front door locking mechanism and Max fixed the problem very quickly and professionally. He went the extra mile to get the problem sorted at short notice for a competitive price. I highly recommend him.

Max was great, came on time and did the job really quickly. Showed us the difference between our old locks and the new ones he fitted and explained the difference in security with the different ranges of locks. Would definitely recommend and use Max again in the future!

Responsive, knowledgeable and sorted us on the same day of asking. Can’t ask for anything more.

I had a lock that was starting to give up struggling to close it, I looked at quite a few sites to get the job done, but the reviews on Max's website swayed me. He let me know he when he was coming very polite and informative about things did a grate job and I'm very happy with it. Definitely would recommend max.

Great service - they were here in 10 minutes to get us back in, definitely recommend!

Ive never been locked out of a house before until today. He came to our rescue in less than an hour, through traffic and across the city to help us. Super friendly and chill guy, he was more than happy to show and explain what he was doing. We had access back in our house in 10 minutes. Hes now my go to guy when i need a locksmith again 👍Would reccomend to anyone.

Max was great! Really friendly and he came out quickly and fixed our door which was stuck shut. He gave us advice on how to stop it happening again. Thank you! :)

Max arrived as suggested within the hour and was able to sort out our problem immediately. He also gave great advice on lock maintenance to ensure that we minimised problems in the future. We will definitely use him again if the need arises.

Great service. Identified problem straight away and was upfront about prices. Went above and beyond to fix the patio door. Also gave great advice about caring for it and other doors and locks in the house. Fixed on the same day.

Fast and friendly professional service

WOW!!! £85 to replace the lock which took no more than 2 minutes plus £35 for the lock itself. Maybe look on YouTube and see for yourself. I wish I had.

Needed new locks on a new house we had just purchased. Called 4 places and got prices, Max was cheaper than 2 of them and level with the 4th but his customer service on the phone swung it instantly. He came round at the time he said, even text before to say he was on his way, and quickly got on with the job. I've had a few locksmiths over the years and honestly I was blown away by his skills, knowledge and communication. He ran through everything he was doing, showed me how to look after my doors and locks and even cleaned everything down, not just his mess but just the door in general. It's hard to find people these days who are passionate and care about the service and product they provide but Max certainly does. I have already passed his number onto 3 people and he only came today. I will 100% use again

Max did a wonderful job fixing both my front, back and patio doors last week. He was incredibly friendly and had identified the issue from just looking at the front door. He has also forewarned me about the future changes we will need to make because of poor door design. I would definitely have him back again and I would recommend him to anyone looking for door repairs!

Very efficient and professional

Messaged to change my front and back door and came in 1 hour, fast service and decent price as well, really recommend this to family and friends.

We had an excellent service from Max who was able to come out in within 2 hours to help us get back into our home when the front door lock jammed. Polite, tidy, extremely knowledgeable and reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend!

Brilliant locksmith in the Bulwell area! Very quick and reliable service. Highly recommend. Thank you Max!

Max was great from start to finish. I requested my hardware to be changed from silver to gold and he helped to choose the right fittings for me, sending me pictures to help make my decision and was very patient whilst I chose. He was very quick to respond to me and he had completed all the work required within a week. He also checked the locks around my house and pointed out the ones that were weak and worked with me to update those. All in all, a 5 star service from an incredibly knowledgable chap!

Max was very professional and explained everything Great job done and reasonable price Thank you

Best locksmith in nottingham, using his services for the third time already, all friends and family sharing the same feedback! Best when it comes to door repairs, exceptional knowledge We’ve moved the property and our front composite door has failed, Max explained what and why failed, immediately came with a solution and replaced everything that was required, cannot be more happy with this service

At 07.30 this morning I put my key in the front door and tried to lock it and it would only turn a small amount each way. I also couldn't remove the key. I did try another locksmith first the Able Group but they let me down after saying they would come and address my problem. By luck I found Max theLOCKSMITH telephone number. He arrived earlier than he said was going to, he knew all about my type of door. His knowledge on doors is quite amazing. I would have no hesitation recommending Max to friends and neighbours.

Max was a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. Very knowledgeable and clearly cares about his profession and making sure the solution is correct. I had him in to change the locking mechanism on our apartment door. Don’t be fooled by these other companies out there offering to do the job for “less” you’ll only regret not getting it done properly. Would recommend 👍

Really grateful to Max for sorting out my French Doors. He responded to messages quickly and came out the same day.

Max is BY FAR the best locksmith you could possibly ask for. Prompt, communicative, professional, very reasonably priced and so knowledgeable about his craft. From the moment he arrived it was abundantly clear his breadth of knowledge and understanding on basically anything I asked far exceeds any of the 'National' firms. He gladly gave his time to discuss and explain all the work he was completing. Zero pressure to push you towards anything, and just gives honest and friendly advice. I couldn't be happier with his service and level of work, and would have him back to complete any work in a heartbeat. No point looking elsewhere, would highly recommend.

He changed our locks, talked me through everything and cleaned everything up after. Great service, thanks Max!

Wow and WOW - from the initial phone call, to the same day visit, to the informative options for the replacement locks through to the price. You will not be charged an hourly rate for the labour, it is a fixed price, the service provided is friendly and efficient plus he will not leave until he is 101% happy with the work that has been carried out - this is an outstanding service which is very rare.

Great service earlier today! The lock broke on my front door and after calling Max, he arrived within the hour. He replaced the lock straight away, explained everything really clearly and was very professional. Would definitely contact him again in future 😊

Great Job!!!! Guy is a legend. Highly recommendable. He arrived very quickly. Super knowledgable, and polite. He was suppose to come just for the front doorlock change but we asked him if he could have a look on the rear door and some windows and he was happy to check it eventhough we said it was just a front door lock change when we calles him. We ended changing the rear door and two windows locks as well because he told us our locks were 0 grade security and were not valid for home insurance and he showed us how easy is to brake a lock, took 3 seconds to open!!! We were shocked!!! We decided to change it to he highest security grade and he gives us the paperwork and guaranty for your home insurance.

Top locksmiths service. Highly recommended

We had a problem with our backdoor, and the door would not lock. This was stressful and I called Max he gave me a time of an hour and he arrived on time. He gave me an indication as to how much it would coat and any changes he made me well aware and did not do and any work until I was happy and agreed to it. His work was excellent, his customer care was 5 star and his knowledge and advise was great. If you need someone to look at your locks Max is your man and we'll worth a call

Forgot my keys when I took the dog out for a walk, and was due to start work in half an hour. Looked for a locksmith and found Max's details and gave him a call. Only had to wait about 10 mins, was expecting a lot longer. He popped the lock (after checking on ID), fitted a new one (which was better than the old one), and was very quick and efficient. Considering everything the price was pretty good and he was a pleasant guy to deal with, plus my dog liked him. Saved me in a jam and would highly recommend.
