Paul and Dean managed to get our new safe open and discovered the manufacturer fault in the mechanism. They also replaced the sticking cylinder lock in another door. Polite, informative, professional, helpfu. Paul spoke to the safe manufacturer to try and identify what the fault was and then used that knowledge to eventually solve the problem. An excellent service. Thank you

I collected 2 new keys that had been cut for my front door by Taxi. When I got home I couldn’t get them to work properly. These keys were for family and friend to get in if I was out as my husband is terminally ill. I phoned Halls Locksmiths and they sent someone out to sort it. I had key cut some years back that was ok It appears my door frame is now slightly out or the door has slightly warped and was causing the problem. The young man sorted it out so we can now use the keys. I was frightened of being locked out and my husband being unable to let me in. Thank you to all at Halls Locksmiths Nottingham. Finding ourselves unable to get out our Upvc front door on a Saturday afternoon I called another local emergency locksmith. Left a message and didn't get a response. I rang Halls Monday morning and they had someone attend in a couple of hours. It needed a part ordering but they fitted a temporary solution and expected to return end of week. I got a call later that day to say they had sourced the part and would come following day. Such an excellent service. Their operatives were friendly and respected my property. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

My house keys were stolen while out and I discovered this late at night. Having used Halls before a few years back, I called them at 10.45pm and Ben and Jake came straight out and met me at home. Both were reassuring and polite, and put me at ease straight away. Thankfully they were able to access my property for me really quickly and without having to change the locks, and with no damage to my door! A superb job all round, and it cost me considerably less than I initially thought it would, all of which I was so appreciative of!! So reassuring knowing that they really knew what they were doing. I can't recommend the firm enough, or Ben and Jake who were absolutely superb - I'm so glad I'd kept their number in my phone! 5* service! Thank you! 😊

What a brilliant experience my sister had despite the crisis created when she found herself and her husband were locked out of their home due to a faulty front door lock. I have a disability from birth, that means I have weak muscles and over the last few months I have been struggling to get my key in my front door. I contacted Halls Locksmith and was blown away by there service, kindness and total understanding of my difficulties. Joe and Paul came to my house to discuss options and two weeks later my front door was fitted with an Ultion Nuki Smart Lock. A solution that has quite literally changed my life. I wanted my smart lock fitted by professionals and both Joe and Paul spent time with me setting up the app on my phone, my fob and key pad. I can even access using my thumb on the key pad. It is an amazing system, simple and smart using batteries or even rechargeable options. My system is bluetooth but you can have pro versions of the lock which uses the web and Alexa. I was so impressed that yesterday the guys fitted my back door with the smart lock and now I don't have to depend on others to go and sit in my garden. I can't recommend the smart lock highly enough and I would like to say a big thank you to Halls Locksmith. Natasha xx

I needed a last minute repair and was helped by John and Malcolm in store. Although the part I needed wasn’t available, John opened up boxes of delivered items, went through every lock in the showroom and even checked the stock on the vans. As he couldn’t find it, he kindly recommended another supplier, and we left feeling like we’d been given a great service. As we walked away John ran after us in the street, and shouted to say he thought he’d found a solution, which it turns out he did! He even fitted the part for us free of charge. People like this are so rare in this world. Can’t recommend Halls highly enough. Go and support them!

Quick service friendly and reliable especially when your lock does not work!

They erroneously asserted that producing a large key is an impossibility, a task beyond the capabilities of any locksmith throughout the entire city. Such a statement not only reflects a lack of professional competence but also a disservice to the customer. As a paying client, my expectation is the fulfillment of the requested service. Furthermore, the absurd suggestion to consult my landlord was entirely misplaced. I am the owner of my property, a fact that bears no relevance nor necessity to disclose to a locksmith. This is a clear indication that if the skillset to fabricate a large key is absent, then it is prudent to consider an alternative vocation rather than participating in this industry.

Helpful and knowledgable

I was drunk and locked out, cold and absolutely steaming. The locksmith (Joe I think) arrived quicker than expected and was very sympathetic. Got me inside in record time and replaced the lock that had to be drilled. I was pleasantly surprised by the bill which was modest in my opinion. Enough spare keys that I didn't even have to tell the wife, I just swapped hers out. 10/10 definitely my go to locksmith.

Had to call out to help replace a lock that had broken. Arrived quickly. Joe was very good, it wasn’t a straight forward job due to some complications with the type lock, Joe was skilful, considerate of not causing damage and also very helpful advising on the best lock security solutions for me to consider in the future.

Called out this service late one evening when I lost my keys. Responded very quickly and had me back in my house within an hour, for a good price as well.

I help manage our church hall and, on Saturday morning, discovered that I could not unlock the external gate to gain entry. Panic ensued as it would be only a few hours to our hosting the Messy Church Christmas party! I contacted Paul at Halls and explained the situation who would arrange for the on-call locksmith to ring me once he had finished his current Job. Well, when Bob did call he was already on site and, when I joined him 15 minutes later the gate was open! Within minutes I had arranged for the lock to be taken away for repair or replacement, signed the documentation and was on my way home. The whole process having taken just over 90 minutes. Fantastic service from lovely people and well worth the £120 for the call out. Oh! and the party was a great success. Thanks guys!

Fantastic service. Came out to fix a door that wouldn't lock - a simple fix but a huge security issue for me. Someone was at my house within an hour of my phone call and price was very reasonable for an emergency call outside of office hours.

Booked ahead for lock changes to a property purchase. Requested someone comes after a certain time, which they did and were quick in changing the locks. Reasonably priced too. Would definitely recommend.

Contacted Halls after an internal door wouldn’t unlock. The guy who visited was Seamus - an absolute gentleman. He explained what the problem was likely to be & managed to resolve the issue without any damage to our antique door. Seamus also took the time to explain what had gone wrong with the lock & made recommendations to avoid a reoccurrence of a similar problem. Very pleasant & very professional. This guy is a credit to the company. The lady who answers the phone was really lovely & helpful too. Highly recommended

Very quick and professional service. Joe was clearly experienced in helping people with dementia and their families, to help keep them safe and secure in their own homes. Very understanding and offered alternative practical solutions re different locking mechanisms. First Class service fitting CCtv very polite and respectful , explained how to operate the system , very patient. I called the office and explained my issue. The option were clearly and honestly explained including possible costs. Locksmith attended as promised just a day later. He easily identified the issue and fixed it, all within an hour. The price was reasonable and all is now working perfectly so really pleased.

We called out halls locksmiths last night at 11pm when we couldn’t lock our front door. We were quoted £200 for a new gearbox. The engineer arrived within 30 minutes and upon inspection informed me that the gearbox was fine and the door just needed adjustment reducing the original quote to £90 when he could have just changed the lock charging me the original amount non the wiser! Extremely happy with their service, would recommend to anybody.
