Lisa was a joy to work with and designed us a garden we're totally thrilled with, everything we imagined and more. She had a very pragmatic approach to using the existing layout, keeping as much of the existing greenery as possible and re-using materials. She totally heard what we wanted but added her creativity and expertise to the layout, materials and planting. The communication was always good and she was great at adapting throughout. We recently worked with Lisa from Fuchsia Green Garden Design, to repurpose our outdoor space into something more pleasing to the eye and useful during the summer months, and we couldn’t be happier with the result. From the beginning, Lisa was able to understand our vague ideas and incorporate them into a holistic design. We wanted a low-maintenance, Dungeness-inspired garden, with areas of shade (for those dry Whitstable summer months) but that didn’t ignore our established, mature planting; no small task yet somehow she managed it! What truly stood out was how she managed to take inspiration from our love of rusty metal garden ornaments and build this into a design that felt exactly right for us. The finished garden (our very own ‘Rust Garden’) has provided that coastal, shingle-inspired aesthetic that links together the different areas of the garden: the patio, the beds of mature planting and the areas of shade throughout the day. The result is something that manages to draw us out of the house and into the garden at various times of the day to just sit and stare. At night the garden takes on a very different feel; Lisa’s lighting plan not only gave us a safe way to navigate the garden at night but also a mystical vibe through the use of spots and illuminated laser cut panels. Throughout the process, Lisa was professional, creative, and highly attuned to the detail of our likes and dislikes. The end result feels both distinctive and deeply personal to us, the result of a collaboration rather than a transaction. We’d highly recommend Fuchsia Green to anyone looking for a designer who can interpret a vision—no matter how loosely defined—and turn it into something truly special.

Had our garden in Whitstable revamped by Lisa May 2024. We are returning customers of Lisa over the last 15 years. We are extremely pleased. We did not want a whole redesign. Lisa listened to what was important to us. We now have a garden that is up to date, beautiful planting, full of character. Lisa’s plant knowledge is second to none, she was also eminently contactable when we had questions. Lisa also project managed all the work, she has a very good relationship with the contractors. We highly recommend Lisa at Fuschia Green. Lisa also has a beautiful plant shop on Whitstable High Street displaying many varieties perfect for personal treats or gifts.

@fuchsiagreenshop in Whitstable, has a 𝐠𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐨𝐮𝐬 array of houseplants! From baby plants to fully established large plants, and pots to fill them with! They also have terrariums and macrame plant hangers, and so much more! 🪴 We took home a String of Turtles and a baby Bear Paw too! And the lovely lady gifted us a string of dolphins to try and propagate at home too 🥺 Honestly so blown away by the kindness and the stunning feel of this shop! We will be visiting this lovely town and shop again soon! 👌🏻💕
I worked with Lisa of Fuchsia Green to design a garden in Whitstable after a house renovation left the garden a muddy mess. Her insights, expertise and hands on approach made the job fun and exciting and she worked within our budget whilst bringing creativity and amazing ideas to life. The garden is in its first spring and looks amazing, and I’m excited to see it grow. Happy to recommend Lisa and you’ll have so much fun planning a new green space 💚
We used Lisa's brilliant garden design skills to transform our courtyard garden. Every inch of our small space has been made in to something beautiful and we now have a wonderful outdoor room with plants, seating, storage, lighting and a water feature. Couldn't be happier with the end result.

My partner and I recently attended their terrarium workshop. Although we have minimal experience in gardening, we came away with two stunning terrariums and the knowledge to give it a go at home in the future. The format was good and didn't feel too rushed; they guided us step-by-step on their terrarium and were super helpful when answering any queries whilst we worked on our own. The brief history lesson was a great way to get started too; we found it fascinating. It was a fantastic way to spend an evening and we would love to attend again! 🌱

An easy 5 stars to give, all of the staff are really friendly and informative every time we go in. I have purchased several (honestly a lot) of plants since moving to whitstable and they are all beautiful and really healthy. Many grew noticeably within the first couple Of weeks which I love to see! On making a fairly large purchase on my first visit expecting to make several trips home on foot I was offered free delivery to my home and they came that evening. Couldn’t recommend more highly for all your plant needs

Stunning new plant store with a lovingly selected plethora of pot plants 🌵🪴🌿🎍I saw some plants here I’d never set eyes on before! White spotted lilies, beautiful black leaves with pink stripes, Mexican air plants, sexy succulents - it’s such a sanctuary. The staff are so lovely and knowledgeable. Pop in for some zen. 🌴🎋
