John was with us earlier this year and transformed our front garden. This involved a lot of work for a relatively small area ....... a new front path with step to the front door, artificial grass and a gravelled area, plus new hedging and a flower border, all with grey brick edging. We were so pleased with the result, we asked John to come back as soon as he could to make some alterations to our back garden, which involved stripping out sleepers and old shrubs and improving the drainage. We now have a path leading to the shed, with a border alongside the garage wall, together with curved brick-edged borders around the lawn and gravelled areas, plus two new trees which John planted for us. He also recently popped back for a couple of extra jobs ……. removal of 3 slabs from our patio so we could replace them with gravel to stand pots on, plus the collection and planting of a further tree. He takes great care and pride in what he is doing, is meticulous in doing everything correctly, and makes sure everything is tidied up at the end of the day. Nothing is too much trouble, even when we changed our mind a few times, or added on a few extra jobs whilst he was here. He's very polite and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend him for any landscaping or garden work.
Used JRG landscapes for the first time, totally satisfied, lovely new beds with shrubs and new trees. I'm not a good Gardener so I was very pleased with the expert advice.
John has just completed a 33m featherboard fence to the side of our property, complete with concrete posts and gravel boards. He is reliable, always turning up when he says, patient, especially during the planning stages when 'we' repeatedly changed our minds! His craftsmanship is exemplary and he takes pride in his work. We cannot recommend him highly enough. Thankyou so much for a brilliant job.
Excellent service. John is so professional and good to his word. Our conifer trees needed a good cut back and prune. He was very considerate of our neighbours in keeping everything within our boundaries. A very hard worker, clean and tidy and have no doubts in recommending him to others. Will certainly use him again.
We recently had a small fishpond and large surrounding shrubs removed from our garden, and consulted with John regarding the best way forward. We agreed that a circular patio would make best use of the wasted space, and John was happy to source materials and complete the work. It sounds simple, but there was so much work involved in simply levelling the area off and removing unwanted detritus before the actual installation could begin. We could not fault his attitude, work ethic and efficiency as he undertook the prep work. We were equally impressed by his attention to detail when actually laying the patio, ensuring a perfect finish. He also then lay new turf to fill the gap between the patio and the existing lawn. We are absolutely delighted with the project and are grateful to John for making our original idea become reality. I would have no hesitation, and in fact, I do recommend JRG for any landscaping job one may be considering.
John has done a great job on our driveway and parking area, all the old gravel was scraped away right down to the sub-surface and the waste was regularly and efficiently cleared off-site. After base consolidation, the whole area was covered with a good layer of new gravel with minimal disruption to our access and I am very pleased with the results. With his helpful, professional approach and attention to the job details, I have no hesitation in recommending JRG Landscapes' services.
John was exceptionally professional and helped me totally revamp my back garden using a lot of what was already there. He has great attention to detail and kept me updated throughout. We had fence panels with concrete posts installed together with gravel laid around vegetable plots and couldn't fault the work done. They took away all the old panels and weeds as well as some of our own garden rubbish! Highly recommend

This is the third time we have used John (JRG Landscapes) in the last two years. Each time he has been professional, listened to what we wanted and then came up with ideas and suggestions. This visit he removed nine juniper trees, tree stump and assorted plants. He then replaced these with a selection of shrubs, which he had recommended and also sourced, saving us the hassle of visiting the local garden centres. John also arranged disposal of the trees, etc, another problem resolved.The works that John did on his previous visits over the past two years are now showing in the garden and it is a pleasure to sit outside and enjoy everything that John has done. We are looking forward to the spring and summer next year and the enjoyment of the new shrubs.. We would definitely recommend John for any landscaping to your garden.

New Patio area in garden. First class job. John knows exactly what he is doing. He is hard working, on time and produces an outcome to a very high standard at a sensible price. His attention to detail is extremely high. He is very helpful with ideas and is very personable. In addition he is exceptionally tidy clearing up every day before leaving the site. I would without doubt not hesitate to use his services in the future and would recommend 100%.

We had a neglected flower bed which was in need of a total makeover. John took out some very large shrubs, dug in copious amounts of compost to condition the soil, and then replanted the whole border. His price was competitive and his planting advice most helpful. He arrived when he said he would and left a clean and tidy site. I would thoroughly recommend his service.
John was certainly the most professional landscape gardener we have ever used. He was thoughtful, consistent and listened to the customer - a very rare trait today. John occasionally was assisted by his team members although that was rare as he really participated 100% in our new garden which was a very difficult project being on a 1:20 slope. Not only did John lay our artificial grass to perfection with a brick edging, but also did the same for the front garden. Every day John left the site clean and tidy and always kept us informed of progress which depended, some days, on torrential rain which often didn't stop him planting trees! I can now add that his after sales response, for a couple of really minor items, was immediate. I can highly recommend JRG Landscapes for any residential household that wants a total refit or an upgrade to their garden.
John was recommended to us and we are very pleased with the work he did. He replaced wooden boundary fencing with composite fencing. He had to clear a large laurel hedge and prepare the ground. He took great care at every stage. He was always on time and arrived when expected working long days to complete a job rather than leave 'on time' and finish the next day. We have had several compliments about the finished job.

Absolutely outstanding! John completely transformed our damp, boggy and dark garden into what feels like another room in the house where we now love to spend time. It was not an easy space to work in and John made what looked like an impossible job look easy and seamless. His workmanship and attention to detail made it an absolute pleasure to work with him. John came out to extend our patio and build a shed in Jan, he was really responsive when quoting and keen to understand what we wanted. We already had an existing patio and he the new one seamlessly extend from this. The price for the works was as well very reasonable, coming un quite a lot less than other comparable places. John was keen to do a good job, and even after the works finished when we had a slight wobble in one slab he came and fixed it within a couple of days. Overall really happy and would thoroughly recommend. We definitely would use again.

Just had John complete various pieces of work around the garden, replacing top layer of brickwork on a wall, insert 2 concrete posts to support boundary fence and also level up some paving stones. As always, John pays attention to the detail and makes sure everything is done exactly as requested. Its always a pleasure to employ John to do work around our property and he has a great attitude. John has just completed extensive work on my back garden which involved the initial design work, removal of existing hard-standing areas, laying a new patio and brick border to the lawn, redefining the borders and levelling the lawn. The initial design evolved a couple of times during the process and John and I agreed the costs as this happened so the final bill was exactly as expected. The garden is really transformed and quality of the workmanship is excellent - John has an amazing attention to detail and I’m sure I’ll be admiring the finished result for many years to come.
John has done a fantastic job for me transforming my front and back garden. To say they were overgrown and out of control would have been an understatement. Supplying a planting plan using existing and new plants supplied by John along with a weed controlling membrane with bark also supplied and slate for decoration. He is very tidy, conscientious and hard working lad that I would highly recommend to anyone. When I next want something done for sure i will call him. Many thanks John for an amazing job which must have been even more chalanging in the extreme heat that we've been experiencing.
John and his team were on time and worked hard every day. They brought with them all the materials and machinery and got to work. When the job was finished the garden was just as John said it would be, infact it was probably better than I imagined. Being a surveyor I could look at the work critically but had no problems with anything. A good quality of work very well done.
