Profile of The Fence Guys in Poole is praised for fresh, made-to-order burgers, generous portions of fries, tasty hot dogs and indulgent milkshakes. Friendly, helpful staff and clean, spacious premises are recurring highlights, although some visits have involved long waits, order or delivery problems and inconsistent fries. Many customers feel the food is enjoyable and filling, but the pricing is frequently considered high for fast food.

Very nice staff, big thankyou to Milly for help on my visit. And cant beat their milkshakes.
Excellent service and energy from Hayden during today's visit. The staff here always deliver a lovely experience and great food.
Placed a delivery order on Wednesday 29 July in which the burger was delivered with out a bun and the fries were the worst I’ve ever had
The food was very average, the burger was disappointingly tasteless and the grilled toppings were more boiled than grilled. Very expensive for the standard of food.
Nathan and Kadem were really helpful in dealing with my order and a difficulty I had with the new rewards scheme system. Good vibes and tasty food as always. Restaurant was clean and tidy. I wish the car park at this location was better designed as its challenging to maneuver in.
Brilliant burgers good outdoor dining and lots of food to chose from
Great burger, great portions. Unfortunately, I'm just not a fan of skin on fries.
Food was lovely, was served by Jake who was kind and interactive. Would recommend coming if you are in the area!
This Tower Park site just misses the mark, especially if a manager isn't there. Went at midday on a Friday; the toilets weren't great, the burger didn't hold up, the lady on the til repeatedly put her bare finger in her mouth, but did put gloves on after heading to the grill station. Gotta say shout out to the Bournemouth branch, the manager is on point and definitely the favourite site for our family despite being further away.
Burger and shake good as usual, fries were tiny compared to every time I've eaten at a five guys 👎
Don’t takeaway from this place. your order will be the least prioritised. Waited over 2 hours for this delivery before cancelation
The food was just okay. But 4 burgers, 4 drink and one large overly seasoned fries cost about £70. The food is average at best. Not worth the premium. But the kids like sampling the flavours of soda
just ordered takeaway and the burgers arrived all wet and soggy falling apart
Really tasty food if a little expensive, but all hot and the best fries I’ve had in a long while. Virtually empty? I think some pics are needed of the products too . Service by a young man called Mark was first class and exemplary. An absolute asset to the brand.
Lovely staff and fast service. The restaurant is really cold though on the 3 occasions I have been its been freezing. The food is great but again that gets cold fast in the restaurant. Would recommend if youre a hungry snowman.
Good service from staff friendly and helpful explained what to do. Nice tasty juicy burgers.
Just attended this store, no staff anywhere to be seen, waited for 10 mins shouted and shouted and still no one attended. Left and went elsewhere, never seen anything like it... The whole place just left unattended
We visited Five Guys on Yarrow Road in Poole today for lunch and had a fantastic experience. We were served by Ryan, who was brilliant from start to finish. He was enthusiastic, full of recommendations, and genuinely helpful — exactly the kind of service that makes a visit feel special. I ordered a Bacon Cheese Dog, while my wife went for a Mushroom Cheeseburger and a Banana Milkshake. Everything was delicious, and the portions were extremely generous. We also ordered fries, and I’m convinced they used a coal shovel to fill the bag — there was so many, we could barely see the bottom! Ryan kindly offered Cajun seasoning on the side for the fries, which sadly didn’t arrive, but it honestly didn’t impact the experience. The food was great, the service was excellent, and we left full and happy. We will definitely be returning. Highly recommended!
Food was excellent but then it really should be for the cost. Can not fault the visit at all.
Can’t fault five guys, proper tasty burgers and fries, you can taste the quality compared to other places. Clean restraint, helpful friendly staff
First time at five guys and holy moly ill be going again, the food was EPIC can't fault any of it, i regret not having the milkshake because my daughter said it was amazing also! 5 stars from me, See you again soon!
Very good burger, came quickly. However it is expensive (£33 for two burgers, 2 x fries and one drink) for me and a ten year old. The fries are good but waaayyyy too salty. Almost inedible.
Unexpected last minute decision, was perfect! Great servers, nice diner asthetic. Great buyer, love the free extras, loads of chips! Would go again
Amazing milk shakes, thick & ice creamy, pricey but great for a treat, like McDonald's used to be before they added fairy liquid, lol and reduced the E numbers, it's just like a load of bubbles & air these days, but Five guys are milk shake kings
I'm honestly surprised at a lot of these negative reviews. Always a great burger here and the chips are amazing, really not that expensive compared to a McDonald's or Burger king meal these days.
Perfect, the food was amazing, quick delivery and the delivery driver was very polite and kind. definitely recommended!
Soggy chips and burger wasn't all that compared to some 5 guys, have never been to a 5 guys with its own separate building and car park it's the only thing to stand out from the others I have visited. Could do with bins in the car park and seating area
Great food and customer service. If you like proper American burgers and fries then I definitely recommend this place. Fabio was very polite and friendly and sorted out an issue I initially had with my order, shoutout to him!
Rip off and no longer useful as the cinema is closed this place will close down soon enough..
I've just had the juiciest, tastiest hamburger of my life! Thank you 5 guys Poole. I don't live in Poole but when I'm over this way It's definitely my first choice when it comes to food. The staff are always so friendly and professional...full marks to management. The restaurant is always immaculate and clean too! 🍔❤️
Arrived on Sunday late before closing and when I got the burger it tasted quite soapy. I stopped eating it because it didn't taste right and got extreme stomach cramps. I'm pretty sure I got food poisoning there and still don't feel great after a couple of days. Just be cautious when eating at this location. However, my experience at other Five Guys branches has been great.
Five guys are good, but look for independents in your local area. They're better value!!
Empty restaurant, I can see why £88 to feed a family of four out of a paper bag, fries were so small for £4.20. I can get the same fresh food for half the price from a decent chippy and more of it. Why people but into this BS I'll never know.
Too expensive for food they offer. 14 pounds for hotdog and fries and 4.5 for soda water, serious? For this sum can have a main course and a drink in a decent restaurant.
Expensive but a damn good burger chips and milkshake, a treat once in a while.
Car park is a bit sketchy the exit/entrance is about as wide as a country road. The food is good but not as good as the castle point branch which if you can spare the distance is a better choice. The staff and atmosphere are standard of 5 guys reputation friendly atmosphere and clean establishment.
My wife and I ordered through a delivery site and unfortunately due to a delivery error we didn't get the correct order. Gabrielle (Manager who normally works in Winchester) was very apologetic and asked if I could come in to rectify it personally. He was so polite and professional and I left there with the correct food and a compensation for the inconvenience. Very greatful, and enjoyed some great food
Please save your money and just eat at McDonalds or any other cheep fast food outlet. What I got for my money is absolutely disgusting. Today wast my first and last time I will come here again! No trays to eat off!! Just a paper bag
Food is tasty but they messed up my order. My toppings were grilled onion, lettuce, tomato and relish and they gave me lettuce, grilled onion and fresh onion. It was a take away order so I couldn’t ask for my relish or tomato so it was pretty dry! Fries were really good though!
Can never fault the food. Drinks expensive but you can refill. Needs coffee and tea!
As good as any five guys, but as with any five guys it’s expensive for what it is, but always very tasty, it’s clean and nice staff
Just order food, which was over £40... For this pleasure I had 2 hairs in my burger... Just eat thinks that this doesn't deserve a refund of the burger I didn't eat... That's fine... I won't use Just Eat or 5 guys again 🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢
We ordered five guys for dinner and when it arrived there was a hair in one of the burgers, called the shop to let them know and see what they could do. To be spoken to very rudely, no apology just stating that they do have to wear hairnets.
The “MIB” guy is very kind and gives a lot of attention to details, he was very nice to my daughter helping her with what to choose she’s very happy 😃 Food also taste delicious 🤤
Our experience was ruined by the lady cleaning around the floor and tables. She was just dragging the tables and making a lot of noise. Complete disregard to customers enjoying their meals. They serve good food but can also make you regret coming here.
You can't compare Five guys to anything like fast food. It's many levels above, easily on par if not better than some restaurants out there. People like to joke about the cost, but the reality is that they are actually cheaper than most other burger restaurants (if you take into account they serve a 'normal' burger with two patties). Up there with the best burgers I have been able to find. Make sure you get all the free toppings with your burger (minus the mushrooms) as that's what helps make these burgers so good. The milkshakes are also great and they offer loads of options. Service is always very friendly. Can't recommend five guys enough. For a large chain the quality they offer is impressive. The only downside is that I can't buy their exclusive Heinz branded mayonnaise - something about it is so much more addictive.
As always amazing burger, restaurant was empty, service was very good!
Crazy expensive burgers. They were good, but not great, husband would disagree he loved it. Weird styling to the place. Coke tasted awful told its how the machine makes it. I'd grab one of their shakes and a few straws as 1 won't make it and go. £80 bought 4 burgers, 2 chips and 4 drinks, probably why only 2 other tables while we were there!
Love Five Guys, great good - car park does have a curb which is very easy to hit which didn't go down well with my other half in his Porsche, apart from that, great place - is always empty when I've visited tho
I've been here about 4 times and each time it's been a fantastic experience. I want to give a special shoutout to Cara and the rest of the team who served me tonight - Absolutely outstanding customer service and the food was incredible! Easily the best Five Guys i've ever eaten. These are the sort of employee's that Five Guys should definitely be paying attention to and rewarding as they are a credit to the company. Thank you so much!! Cannot recommend high enough!
Nice food but way overpriced, wanted to try it and we have, not again. Friendly helpful staff
Disappointed, the dining room inside was cold and noisy, the food was served without any trays or plates in a paper bag, although we are in. Buns were cold off the fridge. Burger meat is plain and nothing really different from what many can make at home from supermarket. Chips were nice and good portion. We complained about the bun being cold and the staff immediately addressed it and their face let us understand that they were already aware and sorry for that . They offered a new one for my husband,my burger bun was very cold too and very squashed in foil therefore very wrinkly but I didn't complain and ate it anyway. Nothing was terrible but too average for price and for the Name... Maybe understaffed but still ... Free peanuts is a not an ordinary thing anyway I won't come back for those. Sorry to say this but I really wished a nice good old burger and chose 5 guys but unfortunately I was disappointed.
good food but never eat out/take to go, when ever i take to go the food is never cooked properly.
I've always had good food and service here. The 3 lads serving always seem to be happy. They always ask you the right questions about how you want your food. One very small gripe, and that's the price. A burger, fries and a drink can easily get to over £20.
My wife and kids ate here last week. Extremely expensive but tasted worse than McDonald's. Avoid like the plague.
Very expensive, very greasy, very sugary. But you've got to try it, especially the milk shakes/smoothies!
The owner of Five Guys has, hopefully unwittingly, stolen a year or two of my lifespan. At my age, I'm supposed to be eating less of this kind of 'fast' food, but when it tastes this good, who really has the willpower to care?? I've tried to quit, but quitting is - after all, for losers. If your idea of a good burger is a bigmac, or bk, prepare to be pleasantly blown away. Sure, they might be half the price of one of these but the difference, experienced by the uninitiated is always an enjoyable entertainment. Full of taste, juicy and massively filling, these burgers are a premium product. I understand their portioning of fries is all part of their business plan, but I still can't quite fathom why they always provide around twice as many as you'd expect. Burgers are made to order and the list of potential toppings (all included in the price) seems to go on forever. Did I mention their milkshakes? Don't get me started. Let's just say they don't disappoint. I'd like to see my kids turn adult, so I save those for special occasions. I've seen people eat their hotdogs. I'm told they're very good too. But to me, Five Guys is a burger joint first and foremost and, as I could never manage one of each, the hotdog will always be on my 'maybe next time' list. Do not operate heavy machinery shortly after consuming a burger, fries and shake - unless you have the metabolism of a teenager. Is all this stuff good for your health? Maybe not. Is it good for your soul? Every dang time.
Usually great tasting 5 guys parking feels a bit awkward going in there never seen it to busy inside but plenty of delivery drivers so feel most take out never had an issue with food there and always cooked to order
Massive venue, loads of space. Great to see this resturant was re-purposed compared to the derelict tgi and chiquitos.
Five Guys are now located next to Tower Park. Pletty of parking and disabled parking. Very nice building, inside roomy, pletty of seating and clean. The menu is not a big menu, but most know 5 guys for their burgers and unbelievable fries. Service has always been great here. Always get the double bacon cheese burger and share a small Fries. While waiting for food, we tucked into the nicely salted money nuts. Another great thing is 5 Guys mayonnaise, this so creamy I would buy in the bottle if they sold it. The burgers with 2 smash patties and American cheese with the free extra like mushrooms, onion, mustard, and the Fries are just so amazing. 5 guys have won many awards and featured in so many magazines. Pricing, I feel a tad high, but you are paying for quality. For me and my son 2 x burgers, 1 x small Fries £28 I feel is alot. Overall, this is a banging place, and just try one of there milkshake to.
Ordered through Just Eat. Delicious burger and delicious fries...... Was sooo good! Would recommend 👌😋
Clean, quiet and quick. Though seems to have become even more expensive since I last visited one.
So disappointed as you charge a premium price but serve a sub standard offering. My chips were cold and extremely over seasoned so much I couldn’t eat them as it was like having a mouthful of sea water and as for the so called milk shake I couldn’t use my straw as I had large chunks of biscuit in the cup. My very expensive dinner was ruined and a complete waste of money
Lovely staff lovely food and were welcoming to our dog too, we sat outside with her. Great place.
Pretty good - nice food and plenty of fries, but pretty pricey, really. Do you get what you pay for? Sometimes I think yes, Sometimes I'm not so sure! A lot of money for a burger!
Visited mid week, good service. Burger was excellent abd generous portion of crisp chios.
My family’s first visit to a five guys Poole and the entire experience was brilliant. The staff were so lovely and friendly, they honestly made the experience amazing and the food was lovely, the burgers were completely fresh and were just incredible. We’ll definitely be back!
One of the best burger I have ever had. The issue is the price but that's what you pay for 100% quality.
Yummiest five guys we've had, and the service here was brilliant too - friendly, effecient, and creating yummy food, definitely five stars.
Best Five guys I've been to. Friendly staff and the food was delicious! Probably a good job I don't live closer otherwise I'd get fat 😅
I went to five guys purely as it was the closest place to me, to get food at 10:30 p.m. I was not expecting much. I was having an awful day having been at the hospital since the day before visiting someone who was exceptionally unwell. The manager (?) was beyond excellent. He listened to the fact that I was starving and thirsty and what part of the order was mine and had that prepared first so I could eat and drink whilst I waited for the other elements of my order for takeaway. I could say a lot more about how excellent his customer service was, but I'll just leave it with the fact that I was very impressed and would recommend them wholeheartedly. The food itself was also very good. Thank you for making an exceptionally difficult day that little bit better x
That is a tasty burger. I'm gluten free and five guys really try and help, you can have it wrapped in lettuce, in a bowl or bring your own buns in. Really impressed.
I have just had a very enjoyable meal in Five Guys across from Tower Park. The restaurant was spotlessly clean, which is always a great start! The burger and chips were beautifully cooked, tasty from start to finish. My first visit to this restaurant, and as I was on my own, I was delighted to have such a lovely man. Dec, talk me through everything and explain what I could have. He went above and beyond the service I'm used to getting in a fast food setting. Im delighted with my visit and will visit again.
Can't fault this place, always a win with the kids. Shout out to Declan who let my boy try the Bacon milkshake! He loved it!
I've ordered a bacon cheese burger and fries. Burger was fantastic. However, my fries we cooked good, but we're too salty. In to the point that I decided to throw out half of it. It could be better.
Food was fine, it was tasty, although I thought chips were a bit too salty. It is incredibly expensive for what is, just fast food. 1 hotdog, 1 cheese burger shared fries a milkshake and a coke was almost £35! Nothing wrong with the food, but for that price I won't be back again.
Food was delicious and well cooked. Service was good - staff were friendly, everything was clean and kept tidy. It lacked a bit of atmosphere as it felt a bit clinical - great for speed and keeping things clean I guess but just left me a bit cold on the atmosphere front. That is nothing against the staff though, more of an issue for higher up the chain of command.
Three generations of my family enjoyed a really nice lunch. Not sophisticated, Five Guys was busy with families enjoying their meals. Nice and clean dining area.
Our new favourite fast food place! Only negative is the price. Can't fault the food or the staff however.
Love 5 Guys! The staff are always happy to help and cheerful. Food is fabulous too.
Came here for an early evening treat with the family so not busy. Got seen straight away and everything clean. Staff happy and cheerful, food was of course epic.
Whilst a little expensive for a fast food franchise they do do some good burgers and their milkshakes are excellent.
Served by Declan today. Really grateful to him for helping us with our order. The burgers were delicious and there were PLENTY of fries for a family of 4. Thanks a lot :)
It's expensive don't get me wrong, but the food is better than many pubs and restaurants that I've visited.
To be honest it wasn't that great. 2nd visit and they got the exact burger order wrong that they did 2 weeks ago !!! And why are the burgers always cold (or are they meant to be?) The place itself looked spotless but it's a hollow, empty space and deathly silent. The staff were really friendly and fun.
First time we visited Five Guys Tower park. Driven past many times but decided to go for it today. So glad we did. What an experience good cooked beautifully, fries to die for, milk shakes with cream on top superb. Staff very friendly and explained it all perfectly. An altogether wonderful experience of dining at its best. We shall certainly be back and recommend to our friends. Thank you for a wonderful lunch Five Guys
Food made to order, best burger had in a while, juicy, flavoursome. Portion sizes are big. Would definitely recommend
Great service, better food than the other Five Guys we tried in Bournemouth a year or 2 ago. Fries portions are insane a small would feed 2 hungry adults
Great food, well cooked, and generous portions. It's not cheap for fast food, but cheaper than a pub burger.
Food was really good, better than expected and food was ready in about 5 mins. There are some things that you could improve tho. 1)Please if you can, try make your stuff more cheaper, for example today, my family of 4 had to pay £65 in total for 4 cheese burgers 2 fries 2 milkshakes and a coke. If I ordered from burger king it would be half the price. 2)Try to make sure you get orders right, for example today, I wanted lettuce and you gave me pickles instead however I wasn't a picky person so I was fine with it. Overall, decent. It would be better if you change the prices and listen more carefully to the orders. I might come back...
Great burgers, OK chips, zero atmosphere. The place was empty, and it still took ages to get my food. Very expensive burgers, but they do taste good. You can only get refillable drinks and they cost a fiver! OK if you're eating in but very expensive if you're doing a takeaway as I was. Not sure I will be visiting again anytime soon
Best burger I have had! You pay for what you get, chips are not amazing but then I'm not a chip lover. I would recommend and will definitely be back as a treat 😄 restaurant was very clean and tidy and staff were very polite.
Food was absolutely brilliant. Hot dog was surprisingly delicious and the staff are lovely. Especially Henry, he went above and beyond to make my experience the best it could be. Defo recommend.
I LUV Five Guys. The best burgers and fries ever, staff are always cheerful! Keep it up
Helpful staff, food fresh and hot, clean, the free nuts, shells were over part of the floor after a group came in, and right after they left, staff was sweeping floor,
First time we've tried 5guys. Delicious, meaty, hand made burgers. Ordered large fries to share between two of us but the huge portion could have fed a family of five! Really lovely milkshake too.
Had problem with some food called in , spoke to , hayden about my problem sorted in straight away top man
Can't really fault this place, as somebody who experienced the USA five guys, I can honestly say its as close as I remember. The food is mouth watering (literally had us come back a second time) It's a little steep for money, but the food and drinks here make it worth it for a treat :) Staff have been smiley and helpful, and a general nice atmosphere ☺️
Expensive compared to other places but the food is uncomparable as so much but in quality and atmosphere
When I went it wasn't too busy, there were only a few orders ahead of me being prepared. I ordered a burger, fries, and milkshake for takeaway. It took about 5 or so minutes to serve my food, but it then took a further 10 to serve my milkshake. This meant that my food and fries were going cold and soggy waiting for my drink... The problem was they had 4 people working visible at the time. 2 quickly served me and a couple of others, while 2 worked at the grill and fries. After serving me and another customer, one returned to help make the burgers, leaving 1 person on the till, who turns out was the only person also making the milkshakes. But every time a new customer walked in, they dropped what they were doing on the milkshake to add another order to the queue (which could have waited as there were already half-dozen orders ahead of them). This meant that the milkshakes were not done and backing up for me and several other orders. Eventually someone appeared from the back and assisted in making the milkshakes. I think the first person was having some trouble with the machine but no one said anything to us waiting if that was the case. This was my first time at this new location, only having been to the one at the BH2 twice before without a similar issue. I'll update my review in the future if I go again, I hope management sees this and makes sure their staff are properly supported, cause if this was on a busy night I would not want to have been the one working then.
Prepare to pay more But Burgers Freshley made in house ..delicious and much bigger too.. It's the best ever . Oh they don't do hot drinks but do serve bottled beer & fantastic milk shakes
Love the burgers here! Don't forget to grab yourself a tray of peanuts while you wait for you meal to be cooked! Not too many though, you have your overflowing fries to eat! 🤩
It was best burger place ever!!! I had the most amazing chocolate milkshake, gluten free hamburger & quite a lot of chips. It was best lunch I ever had!!!
Food is a bit pricey but it's no McDonald's! The burgers are bloody lovely.... Fact!😁
Food was great but a bit expensive for what it really is. Main downside really is that they take ages to serve you and don’t seem to have a lot of order in who does what (could see several angry delivery drivers and angry customers shouting too and only two guys actually moving and the rest barely moving, one girl even laughing while ignoring people)
After a very long day at Poole Hospital, after discharge we headed for Five Guys at Poole (Tower Park) just 9 minutes drive awag, where the food didn't fail. They are the best fries (with their mayo of course), and their burgers have taste from the first bite and just 'hit the spot' nicely. All freshly prepared and topped with a salted caramel milkshake. The restaurant itself was clean, the staff were helpful and the restrooms (toilets) immaculate and without any scratches on the paintwork. Good stuff... you know what you are getting with Five Guys... great food at reasonable cost.
Best burgers, best chips, and best milkshakes I have had in ages! Kids were happy too. The staff members I interacted with were happy, polite and patient with my questions on ordering, as it was my first time here. What amazing food! I'm looking for an excuse to come back now.
Quick and easy service, nice food, a higher end price but quality is good for the money. No drive through but lots of parking spaces.
So expensive!! Really shocked at the price. Food was good but it's a fast food joint with restaurant prices.
Absolutely quality level of customer service. I booked my takeaway for 19:35. I arrived at 19:30 and was told it would take a couple of minutes and that I should have a drink on them while I wait. I received my complimentary drink and was out of the door at 19:35 with fresh, hot food and served with a smile. The manager I assume it was went above and beyond to keep myself a customer happy when they were having a pretty busy time in there. Will definitely visit this five guys in poole again!
Simple food (burgers) well cooked, tasty and customisable. Not much more expensive than top range BK or McD and just so much nicer. 25/03 - Still as good. Now the initial excitement has dropped it's not manic busy.
Fantastic tasting burger and fries, restaurant was clean and service was quock
Loved it. Been here a few times. It's quite pricey so I wouldn't take the kids again. Burgers are ace.
Great food, fresh and very tasty. All of the staff were great, positive, happy, polite and friendly. Will definitely be going again.
Great food and service. Would recommend the drinks machines which offer lots of options.
Food is quite good but it is very much an Expensive McDonald's................. typical millennial service, uninterested staff with no social skills and zero atmosphere. I really wanted it to be good...... I was disappointed...
Love everything about five guys, food is amazing, service is fast can't wait too eat there again xXx
Five Guys is Five Guys. You know you'll get a delicious burger at a high price point for what it is. Can't ever fault it but it is a little pricey so not the most regular occurance
As far as Five Guys go this location is up there with the best. Good clean place, good service, and good food. Not one of us had anything bad to say. So if you are after fast food that's a step above the norm you won't be going wrong here.
Delicious food. Friendly staff. Nice & clean restaurant & toilet. Had to wait a bit for order, but staff member did apologise & upgraded our fries to large.
I recently visited Five Guys Poole and I must say, it was a great experience. The burger was delicious and definitely exceeded my expectations. The staff was very polite and welcoming, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. The location is excellent, situated just opposite to Tower Park, one of Poole's largest leisure and entertainment destinations. It's great to have such a fantastic burger joint in a clean and modern building, which was previously abandoned and boarded up. Five Guys did a great job in bringing value to the community by providing an extra option for eating burgers, and the restaurant has become a popular destination for those who are looking for a great burger experience. However, there were two negative aspects of the restaurant that I noticed. Firstly, the prices could be better, as I feel that they are a bit steep. Secondly, the prints in the men's toilets were a little provocative in my opinion and made the restaurant less appealing for families. I wondered if the women's toilet was the same, but thankfully, my wife didn't go there. ;-) Despite the negative aspects where one is a personal matter for me, the delicious burgers and overall atmosphere more than make up for it. I would definitely recommend giving Five Guys Poole a try, especially if you are looking for a fantastic burger experience.
Not very many options it should be called 5 options instead of 5 guys. Disappointed. And staff were not that friendly.
The atmosphere was non existent and the food is bland. First and last visit I think. Edit: thanks for the response below - good marketing. You do not use seasoning, but the flavour of the Patty is not enough.
Good food, quite pricey, my burger was concerningly pink in the middle but it was so busy I didn't feel like I could go back up to the counter. The milkshake was all stuck in the bottom which wasn't ideal, the chips were good but very big portion, the food was really tasty and the staff were hard working and polite, would go back maybe not at peak time though.
Amazing fast food. Quite expensive but you know you're getting quality. Makes you slightly concerned at what you are getting from McDonalds, looking at the price difference. There's probably a reason why Maccy D's is so cheap...... Great app to order from distance so it's ready when you get there. The staff were all so mega busy as was a Friday night but still managed to get to my order on time. The burgers are so so good!!!
Went in for a meal yesterday and what an improvement since our previous visit!Better atmosphere and much better fries.Think the lady was called Estelle?,she was so pleasant…breathe of fresh air.
Firstly, Five Guys is very expensive. Especially when you consider it's a lot more expensive than Burger King who offer meals that are horrendously overpriced anyway. During my visit with my son I waited in anticipation for the mother of all burgers to come out to then be given a sloppy greasy mess of a burger wrapped in foil with no salad or sauce included. It appears they came out plain and you have to choose the extras - No problem if that was actually explained to me. I walked out over £30 light for just ONE adult meal and a kids meal. Be warned they offer no meal option (2 soft drinks were nearly £8 on top of the food) so this will hike the price up to 'nice restaurant' money. The restaurant has a sterile dentist/hospital feel to it which is neither warm nor welcoming and the toilet was dirty on this occasion. I'm not sure Five Guys knows what it's trying to be? A take out to compete with MacDonalds in which case it needs to offer value or is it a nice eat-in restaurant in which case requires better service and better food? It fails at both sadly.
Foods okay the fries were a bit undercooked but I’d come again. However, 5 pound for a bottle of Bud 😧
Fry portions are very generous, all you can drink refillable cups, and very nice hot dogs with endless topping options. Milkshake was great too. All clean and spacious, with lovely staff. Would highly recommend 👌
We went into this Restaurant last night all excited as we have never tried "Five Guys". We went in and when we got to the till my husband said not to forget to tell them about my mushroom allergy/intolerance. I looked on the menu and saw that there was very little that contained mushrooms so did not think there would be a problem. We told the guy who was taking our order about my allergy and he shouted straight away to a lady saying "we have an allergy" to which she replied "what is it ?". I said "mushrooms". She smirked and said to a colleague quietly "thats not an allergen !". I agree it is not one of the main 14 (we run a food business also), however it is still an allergy which will make me seriously ill/fatal. I said to the guy taking the order, that I am fine as long as none of my food comes into contact with any area where mushrooms have be present, to which the lady then replied as well as pointing "mushrooms have been here, here, here and there", basically pointing at every surface. How could this be ? Surely the mushrooms are also for the vegetarians and vegans. Do they really want mushrooms that have been cooked/put on the same surface as meat etc. Obviously we did not eat there and will not in the future. As anyone who has an allergen will know. It is embarrassing enough to have to mention it, but to treated in this manner is just not on ! Bad show Five Guys !
The best place to eat burgers in UK, amazing flavours, recommended the Cajun fries 🍟 just heaven when you are hungry.
Honestly not worth the money the burgers were very greasy so bad that when you pick it up it tripped out of the burger also to my surprise the burgers wrapped in tin foil which was not impressed at all when you order the fries I was quite surprised that came in a milkshake container the other disappointment they don't do hot drinks and also it is so noisy it is difficult to hear the person behind the till and also call out your number for your order also they must have a lack of space because they stack all their fries in the restaurant and the oil which is not good for people to see that and also they fry their fries in peanut oil I would be quite concerned if somebody had an allergy to peanuts
Won’t be ordering for delivery again food was stone cold and fries were pretty raw ….. shame as Bournemouth restaurant is Great Every time
My grilled cheese sandwich was lovely, but they missed putting a burger in the bag, so I had to go back up to the tills. The fries portion was mega. The shakes were so nice.
Great tasty fresh burgers with a truck ton of fries but be prepared to wait a little and pay the price for it. It's expensive!!!!
Absolutely appalling management service here, we ordered food which we paid 80 pounds for, it took a hour and a half to arrive and when it did, there was no chips and the burgers were cold..not a bit cold, stone cold. We called and spoke to Henry the manager who was so rude and just kept saying he couldn't and wouldn't help us sort the order, in the end my father who is in his 70s had to drive all the way there to get another meal from them. Such a shame as the replacement food was lovely, just disgusting rude management. Wouldn't recommend.
I went into Poole restaurant I ordered some food and the app went in to collect my food and there rude I couldn't believe it
The single most expensive fast food restaurant on the entire planet. As a burger, it's fine.. value for money? Go anywhere else! Anywhere!
Pricey for what it is and there is no denying that but it is very tasty and the service was very welcoming and hospitable.
Good service, good food. Standard five Guys experience. Brand new store so everything is really nice and clean looking
Excellent food, probably the best burger I've had in a while! Although very expensive.
Lovely food, simple menu. A bit more expensive for fast food but everything is fresh so it's justifiable.
From order to collection was quite slow and the food is very expensive the quality did not match the price, won't be going back.
I was very excited to visit this new five guys close to home. Loved every minute of it. Food was amazing as always and staff were lovely. Young lad who gave me the food was very friendly. Absolutely smashed it!
The burger as always was wonderful. However, the chips were totally different to what I have had in other 5 guys restaurant. Felt a bit let down by chips. Hope this will improve soon!
Great food with really attentive service. Kids loved the free monkey nuts too!
Food was great Josie who served us was friendly only got 4 stars as a little slow but otherwise worth a visit for the burgers and dogs
Staff were friendly but the food is rubbish dry burger bacon burnt to the point it was vile and the chip had far to much seasoning on couldn’t eat them wouldn’t recommend £36 for 2 burgers 1 chips and a drink each!! Wouldn’t recommend it.
Great burgers, great service. If you have never been, I would highly recommend a visit.
shocking service, chips were cold, burgers were dry and tasteless. had better burgers from the corner shop in form of a rustlers burger
We arrived at a peak time and our order was slightly wrong, staff were super efficient to provided great customer service and make aments with a freebie
Needs more time for them to get established like the other five guys in the area. Chips weren't amazing, needed more time in the fryer. Burger was all to one side so you had mouthfuls of bun and they had the heart of the lettuce in there which wasn't nice to eat. Just needs more time and attention, which was easy as it was dead inside. Also, when are you doing delivery?! It's been 5 days since you've been open!?
Tried today for 1st time. Burger was OK. Chips seems like they were the small bits from the sack. No decent size one. Very expensive for what it is. Close to £15 for a small burger small chips and small drink. Can get 2 x whopper burger meals for that. And same quality.
Had an amazing visit today. Fresh food, quick service and friendly staff members.
