Michael & Antonio installed a new boiler & pipework to replace our 40 year old Potterton Flamingo recently. Despite working in extreme heat in a small area, they remained polite, tidy and diligent with minor disruption to us. Everything was completed to a high quality and they diagnosed a problem quickly and rectified it immediately. We have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone who is looking to replace their boiler and/or heating system.

We have been fortunate to have Michael take care of our boiler and CH system for several years and fitted a new ATAG boiler which is great. He just diagnosed and located a tiny gas leak which could have led to sealing off the supply and ripping the floorboards up. Tldr? Superb, in all ways. I contacted three national installers, and two local independents, about replacing my boiler with a heat pump before two sources signposted me to Michael at Option Energy Solutions. This meant I had had enough conversations to understand immediately on speaking to Michael that he would give me an honest and considered proposal, built on knowledge and experience. After my first talk with him, I independently found a previous client of Michael’s, who had had a heat pump installed by him. He had no hesitation in recommending Michael to me. The process (heat loss survey, proposal, questions, scheduling) was easy. It was noticeable that Michael was able to answer all my queries and concerns without hesitation or deflection. The installation was well delivered. Michael and his team of gentlemen were kind to me, and respectful of my home. I am really pleased to have made the switch. Top company, been using for 4 years now

I started using this company about 2 years ago to service and carry out gas safe on my rental property. I noticed right away they took longer on site than my previous gas safe company. I discovered things about my boiler I did not know before and they were very friendly in helping me understand and I felt they were doing a very good job so I used them on my next rental property as well as the boiler on my first property has never run so trouble free and they were cheaper as well. This visit to Hove I got them to do a complete clean and replacement of any parts boiler is Vaillant eco tec 13 years old still working and now it’s working perfectly after the work which was a fair price . British Gas used to tell me it needed replacing and sometimes I had to call them back to fix jobs again on their service plan ,it’s much better knowing the same person is doing the work all the time that I trust. This job in the pictures was carried out at my home on 28/07/21 I asked them to move a rad. round the corner to another wall , fit a towel rail and fit some timers and thermostats and service the boiler. The reason for fitting the thermostats and timers is the Taylor Wimpey house we live in has the most horrible timers and thermostats impossible to understand so I asked them to fit ones that if I wanted I could use them with a one click switch on off if needed and that’s what they all do now. You can use a programme with them if you want to of course but I prefer the one click operation. By the way the boiler was in a bad condition because the last service was not done properly by the last company that did it this happens a lot if your company does the service very fast they may have short cut the job ask them what work they did. 25/05/2022 I have just had a service carried out on my Kingspan system which is a complex hot water tank system for modern buildings. It has not been done for 7 years since new. Lots of valves and pressure containers. All has gone well and Option energy even put in new insulation around it for free to improve the heat retention. We've been using Michael at Option for a number of years after buying a home and inheriting a previous engineer who did a poor service. Some careful research found Michael who understood our desire to move to a heatpump over time and set up our heating system to be heat pump ready (replacing radiators where required and replacing a broken 20 year boiler). He's a great communicator who understood our brief and the result is a warmer home that costs less to heat because the system is more efficient and burning less gas. Can't recomend highly enough, you get what you pay for which is a professional job and clear communication

Michael was professional and helpful. I had a tricky situation with a ASHP that had been badly set up, was on continuously, and using hideous amounts of electricity. Michael was able to remedy the situation (which two previous engineers had failed to work out). The electricity usage has now dropped to almost a third.

Michael completed a first service on our boiler as we had moved into a new house in Horsham. Being an ATAG boiler I wanted a ATAG recommended service engineer. Michael came recommended from ATAG. He dismantled the boiler and cleaned, checked seals etc. He also established the boiler was never optimised for our house. We needed a replacement boiler for the local church hall as the previous one had been left inoperable by our usual company who then said they couldn't install another for 6 weeks! Option Energy were able to step in with a smaller, quieter and more efficient boiler on an urgent basis and did the job quickly, without fuss and at two thirds the cost. Facing what was a very tricky problem with a blockage in the mains cold water supply to two bathrooms, they worked methodically and carefully to resolve the issue, whilst doing everything possible to minimise any damage to our Home. Likely costs were transparently explained up Front and were very reasonable for the amount of work involved and the expertise demonstrated. The object blocking a joint in the pipe was located and removed and the supply reinstated. They took a lot of trouble to put everything back as they had found it and to clean up and make good. Wanting to replace E7 storage heaters with a ASHP. I contacted Michael at Option Energy Solutions. My confidence with a ASHP running costs and efficiency were still a little negative. But after having Michael around to do the survey and explain in more detail the performance we could achieve with the ASHP, we went ahead. So glad we did. Michael's incredibly passionate about renewable energy and as a result, we now have a home which is heated throughout to a more comfortable level, unlike before using storage heaters. Michael attended to service the boiler which we have on an affordable monthly maintenience plan with Option Energy Solutions, something we could not live without and highly recommend. Whilst here we also tasked him with changing a radiator to a towel rail and change of bathroom taps and waste. All jobs were completed to a high standard with a keen eye on attention to detail and in the advised timescale, Michael tidied up after himself and in these days of covid he also masked up and had overshoes the whole time he was here. We were most delighted with the service and it all came to less than we expected. Our bathroom now looks much less 'dodgy student squat' and much more 'classy grown up'. I contacted Michael from Options Energy regarding a Landlord Gas Safety Certificate. His response was quick, personable and very helpful. Michael arrived at my property on time, and carried out the works required within the timeframe needed. Well priced and I received the certificate within an hour of the works being completed. Would happily recommend.

Simply outstanding service from Option Energy Soulutions. Our heating stopped working mid February this year and after trying our usual numbers for heating /boiler people I could not reach anyone who could help.I spoke to a member of my family and was recommended to give option energy solutions a call to see if they could help.Spoke to Michael and he managed to get someone round that afternoon to have a look, I was expecting to have to wait for at least a day or two before it would be looked at. Jake who looked at the boiler and got it working for us said it’s working now but it was really on its way out (which we knew as it was a 19 year old comby boiler) but we had heating again.Michael phoned me later that afternoon to give the the full report that jake had written regarding the condition of it.After a quick chat we agreed that it did need replacing and after the quote that I was given by him for a replacement (which was less than half of what I was quoted 2 years previously) I couldn’t refuse.He said that the job could be done within the next two days also so we were really pleased.Michael even said that he would forget about the call out charge for getting the old boiler fixed as we were opting to replace it with them, really generous! Jake came round on time to install the new one and worked late into that evening just so he could get the new boiler up and running so we would have heating which we thought was really nice of him, then came back the next day to finish off the job. The work was carried out to a high standard any mess that was made during the process was completely cleaned up afterwards and Jake even stayed on a little later to wait for me to get home so he could explain the operating procedure to us both regarding the new boiler again a nice touch.The quote and billing process was of a highly professional standard which gave us confidence regarding this company. All in all the whole process was of an excellent standard and we would not hesitate to recommend Option Energy Soulutions to anyone and would just like to thank them for all that they did for us, after all when the heating stops working during a cold February it could have been a real problem for us but thanks to them it was really not an issue at all.

Wasn't very helpful when I ask for a Quote for an Insurance Job, I was told it would be a waste of his time to come out and give me a quote but I could email him a picture etc to be give one then?? I not a heating expert so I find the customer service very poor to the answer I was given. No rating given...sorry guys.!!!

Excellent service. Competitive price, arrived at the agreed time and completed all work as agreed to the price agreed and left the house clean and tidy after each day. Mike has now replaced my bathroom then my boiler and I have him in my phone for all future work. I've used other plumbers and heating people over the years but have settled on Mike because of all reasons above.
