Phil Humberstone Plumbing And Heating Services

A rare find! Phil is a no nonsense, straight talking, professional and friendly plumber.

Never returns your call

Quick service, very friendly and helpful. Thanks so much Phil!

Quick and clear communication by text. Got me booked in quickly due to an emergency. Arrived on time. Explained what was up. Decent price. All round lad. Glad to have a new plumber in our new home.

Phil has done 2 services on my boiler now, he has excellent knowledge, great and clear communications, and is flexible when it comes to timings. Would highly recommend.

Brilliant service from this heating engineer. Sorted our failing boiler and leaking hot water valve in no time at all, and at a very reasonable price. No hesitation in recommending this guy

Phil is not only a great tradesman, but a great person too. We had a leak on our toilet & Phil attended, fixed the leak & has been very trustworthy & reliable throughout. I couldn’t recommend Phil more & its been a pleasure.

Excellent experience with Phil, very friendly and professional and did a great job servicing our boiler. Would recommend :)

Never replied to my enquiry

We consider ourselves very lucky to have found Phil - every time we've had high quality work, great communication and reasonable prices. He's installed a new boiler for us as well as regular servicing and a few repairs - all done promptly and professionally.

Fantastic service and excellent communication.

Booked a boiler service with Phil based on his outstanding Google reviews and his very reasonable charges. Arrived on time, very professional, friendly and genuine. He was also happy to follow up if there were any problems (which there weren’t). Would definitely use his services again, and have recommended him to friends!

I'm so glad when our boiler leaked all over the kitchen that I called Phil! He came straight away, sorted the problem and fixed our heating. He also fitted a tap and fixed our leaky bath. And did so with such professionalism and a sense of humour - also our new puppy thinks he is great too. Great communication and service. Thanks so much.

Phil was awesome. Came round on time. Professional at all times. When the boiler would have been cheaper to be fixed by the manufacturer he let us know and even gave us the number. I would definitely trust him to do future work for us.

A very friendly and efficient professional.

A very professional job from start to finish: the problem was accurately diagnosed and the repair expertly executed; exemplary courtesy and communication throughout; delivered on time and on budget.

Good advice given. Work carried out efficiently and good value.

Phil turned up on time did the job with no fuss and charged a reasonable price. It is so lovely to deal with someone so professional and trustworthy.I would highly recommend and would not hesitate to call on his services again if needed.

My parents boiler stopped working, theyre are in their 60s and 70s and my Dad has a heart condition. They have British Gas homecare but when rang for an engineer was told the earliest would be 29th December (they rang on the 7th). The call handler when told about my Dads heart condition actually turned in to a doctor and went on to say "having no heating for weeks wont affect his condition". I googled plumbers in Nottingham and found Phil, all of his reviews were excellent so contacted him. So glad i did, he went round that same evening on his way home from work. He had their heating back on within half an hour for an extremely reasonable fee. Cannot recommend him highly enough he was polite, friendly and went out of his way to ensure my parents didnt wait weeks (and all over Christmas) with no heating. Thankyou Phil.

Excellent communication and quick service and a really nice man cannot recommend him highly enough

Really nice guy who sorted out my hot water problem. Will use Phil for any future jobs and have already recommended him to friends.

Booked for a boiler service and a suspected gas escape. Communication was easy with quick responses and the issue was diagnosed quickly. Really good service - very happy customer.

Phil was great, so professional and efficient and I would highly recommend! His service and expertise were second to none!

**Update** our original review was 1 star because of a no show (as it transpires due to an unforseen circumstance), but to his credit Phil called the next day to apologise and quickly arranged another visit. He came on time and and after a couple of visits everything was sorted including a pesky intermittent issue! After the initial hiccup, Phil's service was impeccable, and he was just a nice bloke to boot. Would definitely recommend and use him again. Would be a 5 star if not for the initial problem. Thanks for sorting everything, Phil!

Contacted Phil a few months back in November to obtain a quote regarding a leak in my property. Received quotation details and asked for work to begin to sort out the leak. That was almost 5 months ago, still no response or contact from Phil or his team despite several emails, calls, texts and even voicemails. If you have an urgent issue/repair requirements ,then do not bother to use the company.

The service from Phil was absolutely second to none. He was so quick at getting back to me for everything. Even came before the started date to fix my shower. After speaking to many plumbers her came up trumps. The service was fantastic. He even fixed my toilet whilst he was here. 10/10 job. Would TOTALLY recommend to anyone who needs a plumber who is professional and goes above and beyond! Thank you so much Phil 👏🏽

Did an excellent and professional job fixing our leaking water tank. Phil was on time for both appointments, communicated well in between these too. The work was done at a very fair price. We would highly recommend

Excellent service, arrived promptly, got the job done and was courteous. Would highly recommend.

Reliable and Professional

Really good price and friendly. Did the job with no fuss and even did a little extra for free. Highly recommend

Would highly recommend, great service.

I found Phil through a Google search and was impressed with the reviews, I have since used the company several times and the reviews match the service and personal communications given. Phil has been reliable, prompt, helpful and a great plumber with clear communications at all times which I really appricate.

I have used Phil many times for plumbing work at a rental property, He is extremely reliable and very reasonably priced, definitely recommend 👍👍

Phil has been my Plumber for years. He's done plenty of work for me over those years and has always been professional and friendly. He's very genuine and will put his all into the work. I would fully recommend Phil for any size job you need doing.

I would highly recommend their services. I was able to set an appointment. The technicians that came out were professional, they explained everything that needed to be done.I was very impressed with their work.

We have used Phil twice now. He replaced our toilet with a new one and has fitted a new radiator for us. Phil is a lovely friendly gentleman that made me feel at ease with both projects. Phil always responds to questions i might have and turned up when he said he would! Both jobs completed to a high standard and at a reasonable price. Thanks Phil and see you again soon with alot more work coming your way from our house. Nice to finally have a reliable plumber who we can count on !

The best plumbing company in nottingham.

Phil is a 5* fella. He promptly diagnosed the problem with professional capacity. You could not ask for anything more!

Excellent service, big job or small, highly professional yet friendly and helpful. We would recommend Phil unreservedly.

Excellent respond time when needed urgently. Thank you Phil, I will be sharing with my family and friends

I've been using Phil's services for years with a property I rent out. He will arrange times directly with the tenants and then go and carry out the work. While he's there he always thoroughly checks everything else and let's me know if there's anything else to be done. His work is of a very high standard. I had 2 years of trouble with a boiler and numerous engineers out to it. Phil went once and it's been fine since. He's friendly and helpful. If I call him or text him with a question he's always happy to help. Phil is my go to guy and I'd recommend him to anyone. Great service! I can relax whenever Phil goes to the property knowing that he will get things working again and it will last.

Friendly and reliable service. Phil arrived at the time we agreed and fixed the problem quickly and with no fuss, and observing social distancing. I would definitely use Phil's services in the future

Phil is amazing. We were without hot water or heating for some days. Phil came to our rescue. I found Phil to be a highly skilled engineer, with excellent customer facing skills to match. He explained the issues step by step, and in lay terms to match my skill level !! He pointed out key issues that had been neglected (for some years I might add), and went on to further substantiate why they needed to be addressed. I felt comfortable and confident in his ability. Post completion, our heating and hot water system is working in a far more robust and cohesive fashion. The job was very well priced, and after years of spending an annual fee on services and insurances, I have cancelled these and am now giving my business exclusively to Phil. 5 stars, could not recommend him highly enough.

I booked Phil based on his previous positive reviews and I am very happy I did. We needed him to supply and fit a new radiator and remove an old one. He provided advice on the type of radiator we would need and was very friendly and professional throughout. He provided a quality service and I wouldn't hesitate to use him again and would definitely recommend him.

Used Phil's services a number of times now. Quality work at fair prices. Reliable and trustworthy.

Phil is very friendly and reliable. He’s serviced my boiler a couple of times and most recently fixed a fault it developed. Would definitely recommend him.

Shame he didn't bother to get back to me with the promised quote. ☹️

Phil is fantastic engineer, he arrived on time and sorted our heating problem out. He is very honest man, I defenitly recommend him. Phil restored my faith in humanity. I will be talking about him to everyone.

It was a delight to meet Phil this afternoon. Extremely good service, Really helpful, professional and friendly. Had my boiler serviced, radiators checked and gas safety checked. Would highly recommend Phil to friends and family.

Would definitely recommend Phil. He was very fast at responding to my queries and managed to fit around my busy schedule. Thanks for all your help.

Phil was punctual, polite, and very patient in explaining in lay man's terms what was wrong with our boiler; Phil even responded to my txts whilst he was away, and worked around our schedule. Great service, would certainly use again.

Helpful, friendly, professional and doesn’t mess you about. Good communication on WhatsApp too. Highly recommend!

Used this guy several times, a very good, top notch plumber. Well reccomended.

Excellent same day service, rang on the off-chance to enquire about removal of a gas fire and after leaving a message Phil very promptly rang back and came by later! Clean, efficient, very pleasant easy to deal with character, thanks Phil! Jill and Mark Price-Johnson

Phil Humberstone came at short notice to fix a boiler problem, completed all the work efficiently, and serviced the boiler at the same time, spotting some issues which had been missed by previous services. Thorough, reliable, and professional. Very pleased to have him working in Cornwall as well as Nottinghamshire. Highly recommended.

I have used Phil twice now and I'm super happy with his work. I would definitely recommend him. He is trustworthy and reliable. I picked Phil in the first palce because of his great reviews and there was a picture of him so I knew who to expect at the door. For a female on her own it's hard to know who to trust these days. I've also never had any problems getting hold of Phil either. Thanks!

Phil serviced my boiler this week, and I recommend his services. Phil kept me informed about his eta, put on overshoes when he entered the house, was polite, and quick and accurate in his work, and took time to clearly explain what he had done and why. All for a very competitive price too.

I had a tap replaced. It was not an ordinary tap but a fairly complex german tap with spray shower. Phil was very nice, precise, punctual, extremely tidy and clean. For the first time I did not even had to clean the bathroom. Everything perfect. I found the price reasonable (£120 for about 1h 20' and a brilliantly performed job) without any hidden cost. The final price was just the initial quote. I will definitely call Phil again!

Very nice guy. Reliable, friendly and professional. Did a neat and tidy job, sorting out another heating engineer’s bodge job. Would definitely recommend. His phone rang about a zillion times whilst he was working. He explained he can’t always answer straight away or he’d never get any work done. He’s a man in demand for a reason. Highly recommended.

Phil is great!! He's knowledgeable, honest and thorough. He's also great with our rather mad hound which is an enormous help. We highly recommend!

Thank Phil house is nice and warm again ..see you in April for our new shower enclosure

Great service, brilliant communication and very friendly. Fixed our leaky toilet efficiently and on a Sunday! Honest reliable and lovely plumber, a really professional service! Thanks Phil highly recommended. Susan Mapperley

I first used Phil Humberstone several years ago, on a recommendation from my local Plumber Merchants. I have since used Phil several times since and I cannot recommend him highly enough, from Heating problems through to the standard type of plumbing jobs that you may need sorting out.

Brilliant service. We needed help with new pipes and a new sink tap, Phil came out the next day and solved the problem quickly. Excellent and friendly service. I'd definitely recommend!

This is the first time I have used Phil. I chose him on the basis of his proximity and the very good things previous customers had to say about his work, and about him as a person. The excellent reviews are well-deserved. Phil's communication skills are first class, and he handled the boiler problem and the attentions of the new puppy equally well. Highly recommended.

I had a leaking boiler Phil came round changed the seals fixed it and now its running like a new one again.. Very reliable and not as costly as i thought it would be.

HHD

Great guy and honest - great communication over whatsapp which is alot easier than trying to call etc - professional setup definitely will use again

Phil is so reliable, ever so friendly, cleans up after he’s done all the work & his work is at a top level. never had a problem with his work in 10 years. Extremely recommended

Excellent service! Needed help with a leak ASAP and came out super fast to sort it on a Sunday! Quick and efficient as ever. Lovely and professional guy to deal with. Well priced. Will always use again and recommend to friends and family. Thanks Phil!

Excellent service. I emailed for a quote for a boiler service and received the quote within an hour; a very reasonable price was given. Got booked in within a couple of days. Reliable, honest guy. Highly recommend without hesitation.

Phil is the man for any boiler/ heating problem! He came around to check what the issue was and arranged a date to sort it all out. Today he arrived on time, sorted everything and went through all the changes so we could understand what the issue was. Very trustworthy and reliable man. Will use again :)

Phil appears to be top of his game when it comes to the work he has carried out for people, just a shame he is impossible to get in contact with. I understand he might be extremely busy but you don't tell someone you will contact them back then ignore any further communication going forth. Had to go else where.

Used Phil for our gas fire removal / capping off the gas pipe. Phil’s very reliable and friendly and excellent value for money. Impressed us so much we’ve booked him to service our boiler. Fully recommend.

Phil was really helpful, efficient and friendly throughout. Would definitely recommend.

Phil has been our family plumber for many years and we continue to use him because he is professional, knowledgable and has excellent standards of workmanship. He is always friendly, trustworthy and great at explaining what is required. We have recommended Phil to family and friends and would have no hesitation in recommending him to others.

Phil H is a really lovely guy, he rectified the problem within the hour. He will definitely be our plumber choice in future.

Phil is great! He's reliable, quick to respond to calls and messages and has been fantastic with sorting out our leaking boiler. Would highly recommend!

Have used Phil before and have to agree that his work is really good. However, both myself and my partner has been trying to contact him. We have left messages, sent texts and an email, but as yet we have had no response. Yes he is reliable when you eventually get hold of him, but there lies the problem you can alt get hold of him.

Phil is a friendly, trustworthy and excellent plumber. Very accommodating for visiting late in the day and was able to sort us out very quickly. Would definitely recommend, thanks very much!

Top class plumber! Quality work at a very fair price. Would 100% use again

Phil is reliable, personable, trustworthy and extremely knowledgeable. He fixed our boiler at short notice (he called in on route to his holiday!) for a fair price. Very happy to recommend Phil.

Would highly recommend

Repaired a badly fitted toilet and it's faulty inside mechanism along with an outside pipe that was broken. He did all of this at short notice. A good, reliable, honest plumber, well recommended.

Phil came round at 5pm on a Friday to fix a gas leak under my kitchen floorboards. He was very kind and professional and worked hard to ensure there was minimum disruption. He explained everything he was doing and charged a very fair price. Highly recommended.

We rang Phil when our central heating failed suddenly. It was sub zero, snow everywhere, but Phil was able to come that evening to assess what needed doing. He wasn't able to fix it immediately because it needed a new part, but was the back the next day to repair the boiler. In every way Phil was a great find: pleasant, punctual, trustworthy, thorough & explained what he was doing. Really excellent & thoroughly recommended!

I really can’t praise Phil high enough. Not only is his workmanship second to none, he will go out of his way to help out during emergencies. Don’t hesitate to use him if you’re reading this. Thanks Phil... you’re a legend!

Fabulous friendly service, always reliable would highly recommend

Fantastic service. Thank you!

We needed a new gravity fed shower and we chose Phil , what a brilliant choice we made , work done with ease , fantastic bloke , would recommend him every time , thanks Phil for a job well done

Phil was recommended to me when I had an intermittent fault on my boiler a year or so ago. The fault was not easy to diagnose but Phil was extremely thorough and got the issue rectified quickly. Phil is very trustworthy and as a result we have been very comfortable for Phil to gain access to our property even we are not around. I cannot recommend his approach highly enough he will always give you a very honest opinion and not undertake unnecessary work resulting in his pricing being very fair and workmanship second to non.

Great service as always, highly recommended!

I wouldn't use anyone else. Always finishes work off to the highest standard. Thanks Phil

Excellent service. Very thorough communication.

A fantastic service, always reliable and professional.

Phil is that rare thing, a great plumber. He fixed our troublesome heating system where others had failed, is very knowledgeable and friendly too. Can't recommend highly enough. Alex - Nottingham

Highly Recommended!

Phil is great, reliable and very reasonable and i would highly recommend his services.

We use Phil for a number of jobs within our business and can not rate him highly enough. Great character, reasonable prices and a cracking service. We have used many plumbers over the years and he has been the best by far.

Known Phil for many years. Reliable and helpful with a happy personality. Has carried out a number of plumbing jobs around my house - all to my great satisfaction. Can heartily recommend him.

Phil Humberstone did some excellent work for my son and as I was having problems with my own central heating system and boiler I sought Phil's advice. He was very knowledgeable and helpful and my problem turned out to be a relatively simple one and his advice enabled me to sort it out myself. I have given only four stars as I did not have personal experience of work being carried out. Previous requests for advice from other plumbers usually resulted in them wanting to investigate which would have resulted in a callout cost but Phil's advice was free.

Phil Fitted me with a new Boiler, filter system and new thermostat and control unit! I found Phil from a recomendation of a freind and I was over the moon to finally find a professionla Plumber who i feel can be trusted and is competant. He was accomodating to my request and even though I changed my mind at the last minute as to the actuall boiler i wished him to fit, he took the time to take the other one back and fit the one I decided to have with no fuss! He also fitted me with a new thermocouple for my lounge fireplace free of charge. He was realiable and organised and completed all the works within two days! I can not speak highly enough of Phil and his workmanship and I have already recommended him to my family who live nearby. Thanks again Phil....!

Good plumbers are hard to find but I have no hesitation in recommending Phil. We have used him for many years for a range of jobs. He has dealt efficiently with minor work such as leaking pipes and dripping taps but even more impressive has been his involvement with bigger projects. He has completely refurbished our en suite bathroom to a very high standard, replaced our worn out boiler and updated our rather troublesome heating system. He is also a very nice guy!

I have just had a complete new bathroom suite installed which was project managed from start to finish by Mr Humberstone. reluctantly the job was worked on and completed whilst i was away on holiday. I have to say on my return, what a fantastic job ! Very honest guy, with no corners cut. 5*

Phil has been our family plumber for many years, my parents always used him and now Iv'e moved out I have recently used him to swap my radiators and boiler. Always happy to help and sorts out any problems quickly. Great guy, I would highly recommend him for any plumbing work!
