Andy came round too service my Boiler today what an absolute Diamond really polite explaining everything he had done, I tried my luck and asked him if he would bleed my radiators, he was great it was no trouble at all to him and no extra charge, I’ve always gone with this company they are so efficient and their prices are very reasonable 👍

I am so grateful to Dave at Birmingham Boiler Repairs. I accidentally called him at 8pm while putting his number into my phone (intending to call in the morning) and he immediately called back. Having explained my the combi-boiler problem over the phone, he offered to guide me through how to repair the problem myself. He gave me nearly an hour of his own time to talk me through it, being incredibly patient why I fumbled around, and we got it working again! There was no judgement about the fact I hadn't had it serviced it for nearly 10 years! He just gave me some really good advice on how to maintain it - I will definitely be using him for a service in the near future. My boiler packed up on the weekend and I was ringing round to get someone out asap. After ringing 2-3 companies with no joy, Dave said he would come first thing Monday morning to try to fix it. After sending him the fault code he came out with a new part for the boiler in hand as he walked through the door and fixed the issue in 30 minutes. The companies website had clear information and pricing. Absolute pleasure in dealing with a professional firm and person. Got me out of a stressful situation with an elderly vulnerable relative who lives with us. Cannot fault the service and response time to getting my boiler fixed. It’s working better than ever 👍🥇👏

Excellent service! Initial call was with the engineer, he worked out a couple of issues it could be over the phone. Arrived on-site the day after as expected and well within the time slot. Stripped the boiler tested several parts, all tested ok, no parts needed, was on-site about 45ish mins and charged the £75 first hour fee only. Very happy, heating works and no ‘extra’ bits required! 😊 honest, fast and reliable… would happily recommend! Thank you 😊👍

Dave was really helpful and called me back as soon as I left him a message. It was very easy to arrange for him to come out to see me within a few days. He is very knowledgeable and reassured me about what the issues with my boiler may be, when I was told by someone else that I needed to replace my boiler. On the day he came out to my apartment, Dave was very friendly, professional, and explained and showed me exactly where the issue was. He fixed my boiler and left my kitchen clean and tidy. He saved me a lot of money and I would have no doubts about contacting him again in the future! Update - a year and a few months on, I contacted Dave to see if he was available to service my boiler. I had no response on WhatsApp so I called. When he picked up, the tone was not as friendly or open to help, and I got asked loads of questions about parking etc., when he had already been to my apartment. I was asked to send a photo of my boiler, so that he could get back to me. Still waiting days after. Very disappointed as I was quick to recommend him last year.

I really respect Dave's integrity. I called him out to fix an intermitten leak on my boiler. He came down and seemingly fixed it. However a couple of hours later it was leaking again. I called him and informed him the leak wasn't fixed. To his credit we agreed he'd come down again to look at it and not charge me as it was the same ongoing issue. When he came out today the intermittent leak wasnt leaking, making it really hard to diagnose the source of the leak. However, while he was down here today he changed a part on the boiler to fix an intermitten heating issue. When it came to paying he stayed true to his word and did not charge a second calling out fee as we initially agreed as he was coming to fix the original leak we thought was fixed the first time he came. He only charged for the change in boiler part which was completely fair. Finding genuine trade people is a real challenge these days and its Dave's integrity and competence he showed in our interactions that makes me recommend him so highly.

Professional and honest service Had my boiler serviced and inspected by Birmingham Boiler Services and was really impressed. The engineer was thorough, explained everything clearly, and found the root cause of the heating issue straight away. He’s due back next week to fit new parts, but so far the service has been excellent, friendly, reliable, and clearly knows his stuff. Highly recommend. “Quick update – engineer returned as promised and fitted new parts (expansion vessel, PRV, and electrodes). Everything’s running perfectly now. From the start. I don't know where I can find an engineers who are most qualified and certified for ferroli brand. Because the previous engineer told me that my boiler is subject for condemned. Had Jordan come round, clearly explained everything that he was doing, showed me how to maintain my boiler properly and gave me general plumbing advice on other issues I had. Was friendly, professional and quickly solved the issue (no water in my boiler). No call out fee or hourly rate, just 75 quid base rate as no extra parts were needed. Very impressed, would highly reccomend.

Called for help with my electric water heater as shock arrestor had pinhole leak. Few messages back and forth and was helpfully told he couldn't get the part. Very good communication and didn't mess me about, so high rating.

Worse boiler service ever very inexperience engineer and rude

Contacted Dave on the phone and I explained we recently noticed a minor boiler leak. He came next day and found fault quickly. Dave came out the next day to fix our boiler, got straight onto it,found the leaking pipe and had replaced it in minutes, he had a spare on the van. No call out charge just a flat fee and parts cost which was very reasonable, all done within the hour,delighted to have a warm home again, will definitely recommend 100% . I chose this business based on the brilliant reviews. However, my boiler service experience was somewhat disappointing. I believe it was Dave who completed my service. After completion I asked if he had looked at the obvious leak and it became apparent he had not. He then looked at it and attempted to tighten the nut but the wrench did not fit. I asked whether the inhibiter had been filled to which he replied it had not. His reasoning was that the boiler is old (which it is), there was no filter and that the radiators would need flushing first which would have apparently cost hundreds of pounds. Having gone away and sort advice I now know that radiators can be flushed fairly easily and it does not cost 'hundreds'. I think a better approach would to be upfront about the leak just acknowledge it and say I can't get it but don't just ignore the big brown patch! Regarding the flushing of the radiators, a bit more transparency would have been nice. If he didn't have time that's absolutely fine, ask if I'm happy to pay extra and arrange a time to return. Unfortunately this wasn't the approach taken! ........ I think that when a business responds to a polite review in such a defensive manner, its worth really wondering why! Yes I was busy working from home, but I believe I asked at the very beginning if you needed to know anything did I not? Also, I wasn't expecting miracles at all, I would have been happy to pay a reasonable additional amount for you to flush the system. Perhaps read my review again and try and keep your responses professional, it looks bad on you don't you think :)

I was way overdue a servicing due to lockdown and then noticed I had a leak along with low pressure. I was fitted in just a couple of days after calling and Dave serviced the boiler and fixed the issue in no time at all for a very reasonable price. He also replaced a broken radiator dial whilst he was here which was much appreciated.

This company fully serviced a Vaillant boiler on 14 September 2021. I moved into the house on 27 September and had no hot water. There is a major fault and the boiler needs replacing. Do not trust this company

I woke up on Friday 13th.. to a broken down boiler. I contacted Birmingham Boiler Repairs @ 12.20pm and was greeted by the very friendly voice of Lisa who didn't simply say that they couldn't help today, but instead said, we are booked up today but I'll get an engineer to call and offer advice. Minutes later David calls, also a very friendly voice. David decides after a few minutes of chatting that he would try and fit me in. By 2pm the boiler was fixed and working thanks to David and Jordan. They are very cost effective (all pricing is shown clearly on their website), professional and polite. Also very good people. Dave came out after someone in my village saw my plea on a Facebook page. My heating wouldn’t turn off and was making my flat far to hot. I have a 6 day old baby and was struggling to keep her temperature regulated with the crazy house temperature. Dave messaged me on Facebook got my details and called me. He was then at my flat by midday and had sorted the problem. Not only was he professional but he was approachable, communicative and kept me informed with what he was doing! I can’t thank him enough he has put one flappy parent at ease! Thank you!

Dave is absolutely fantastic! I can't thank him enough for sorting out our boiler. Dave was my knight in shining armour when my insurance let me down. When I telephoned him to tell him of my predicament, he arranged to come out ASAP for the day after when my husband could be at home. He talked through what parts were involved and the price and he never inflates the bill once he has finished the job. The gentleman came ,did his assessment for 1 hour. Couldnt diagnose the problem.He said ,he shall get back to us with some expert help and i never heard from him . Luckily it is tertibly cold these days and i have 3 school going kids and my heating system for radiator and taps isnt working ..long live the service

Found this guy totally unreasonable and talked more about his costs rather getting the job done....called him out as my Worcester Bosch boiler was alternating between cold water and radiators hot & hot water on but radiators off .. spoke to a few plumbers who indicated this to be a valve issues & but availability meant seeking other plumbers , so settled for this chap based on reviews here. He did a few diagnostics and got it sorted without changing the valve - no issue diagnosed - apparently tapped the valve, which "may have sorted the issue" ... paid him as per invoice. .a few days later same problems with boiler - called him & became defensive and advised me to call manufacturer to rectify .. after refusing, he did some over the phone diagnostics to establish that the valve needed replacing.. agreed to come and fix it ... changed the valve - again defensive and rude - sorted it out in 15 mins ... then proceeded to bill entirely all over again (call out charge, labour and part) ... joke!! .. I would keep clear of him & save money as he seems more interested in unnecessary charges, then getting the job done right first time - no sense of customer service.

So happy thank you so much Dave can not recommend him enough. A*******

Wow just moved into my property and pulling my hair out freezing. My little boy cold misses cuddling him landlord is unresponsive c#*! You tube my boiler and manage to get hold of this chap Dave. This man(Dave) seemed to be knowledgeable and honest,he was sent by my insurance company to sort a leaking boiler problem,he came and changed some washers but this did not sort problem out so i phoned the insurance company again and he came around again,changed some more washers and left still leaking,he put in a report to insurance saying that the leak was due to sludge and needed a £300 to £400 power flush,which was untrue (i,m an ex plumber and use sentinel x100 every 2 years)the reason he did this,he only gets paid per fault and not for recalls.more proof,I upgraded old boiler and kept heat exchanger( clean as a whistle) and installer said no sign of sludge whatsoever.so beware.Your advert says honesty is the best policy,try it Dave
