Ian really is the best in the business! He has helped us out on multiple occasions including a last minute leak that he immediately identified the same day and got sorted for us efficiently. He recommends the best materials and all at a great price. He is accommodating and knowledgeable and will do whatever it takes to fix or check appliances over. He is the only person we will ever call for a plumbing job since moving into our new home. He is professional, honest, skilled and friendly, really taking the time to explain the work he’s doing. Cannot recommend him enough!!

Considerate, informative, tidy and professional. We had no hot water and within 24hrs of phoning Ian he fitted us in his schedule. He spent time checking out the possibilities and explained how my system works. He solved the problem which another plumber had been unable to and he only suggested replacing parts once he had found the fault. Thank you.

We have just had a new boiler installed by Ian for a disabled gentleman I support. We identified and agreed a new boiler was needed. Ian was very understanding to our needs . He was happy to be led by us as to when it was convenient. We gave him access to the property while the gentleman was on holiday. Ian was very efficient in his work. He explained the process clearly and what he would be doing . His workmanship is exemplary. Having a boiler and hot water cylinder removed was a messy job but you wouldn't know that . On inspection of the completed work everything was left very tidy . There was nothing for us to do. Ian clearly explained how everything works and gave us all the details we need in regards to keeping the boiler healthy and serviced. I would highly recommend Ian . Ian fitted a new boiler for my senior citizen mum, who although is a grand age is a sharp as a tack and spot on with spotting good people. Following a few surveys and quotes from installers, my mum wanted Ian to do the job. Ian was transparent and fair, with no pressure from the get go. He is skilled, honest and professional, which hard to find these days.He also called after instalment to go through next steps and future servicing. We would highly recommend Ian, 110%!

Highly recommend Ian! He was super understanding of our situation. He was able to come out twice short notice and sort out the problems we were having with hot water and the boiler. Nothing was too much trouble and he was extremely reasonable. He sorted a replacement part quickly and cheaply and we will use him again going forward.

Ian fitted a new Worcester bosch boiler for us in January, with a ten year warrenty, after the old one went kaput. Really pleased, half the running cost of the old one. Great service from start to finish, I’d been highly recommended by my parents who are long term customers of Ian’s, he was able to come and assess our old broken boiler quickly, he quoted us on the same day and was in doing the work the same week. We’re really happy with the communication, the level of skill, and the service as a whole. We also part financed our boiler and were able to get 0% interest over 12 months which are affordable payments, having 0% option has been a godsend, saving us loads compared to having to pay interest over a longer term, and it gets it out of the way so we can relax and enjoy our new boiler. The process was easy, Ian and his team mate are sound, approachable and know their stuff. Will definitely be in touch for future servicing and when replacing our radiators, can’t recommend enough.

When our 16 year old boiler packed up, we needed it looking at straight away. Fortunately we found Atkins plumbing and heating engineers of Nottingham, through a review by another satisfied customer. Ian came round to take a look within a couple of hours of me calling him, he explained what the problem was and he offered a repair but my wife and I decided it made more sense to replace the boiler. Ian gave us a very reasonable quote and he replaced the boiler a few days later, Adam and Ian were a great team, friendly, polite and cleaned up after to the point you wouldn't have known they had been. We are very pleased with our new boiler and wouldn't hesitate to use Atkins again. Atkins of Nottingham are really responsive and helpful - especially for the vulnerable. I messaged them on Sunday to say my 98 year old mum (they service her boiler) had no hot water. Ian was there before lunchtime on Monday and fixed it straight away.

Met Ian once to advise on boiler repair. Talked confidently about quality of work which he would not compromise. After manufacturer condemned boiler, he was the first person thought of to replace. After emailing and frequent phone calls (with messages left) over a month, finally got to speak to him (I phoned him, again, and re-confirmed email address by text) and was promised a quote straight away. One week later still nothing. Had 3 other quotes and now made a decision. Not good enough, Ian!

Always great service. We’ve used Ian for various jobs and boiler servicing for a few years. He recently did a major job installing a new boiler (moving it from kitchen to bathroom) and new radiators to all rooms. He properly knows what he’s doing, works hard and does a neat job.

Ian has done 4 jobs for me over the last 8 months including capping off a gas pipe, replacing a valve due to a dripping tundish, replacing a water tank pump and fitting a new boiler. He has come out to do each job in a very timley manner especially when the old boiler packed up. Every job has been done to an extremely high standard, he gives honest advice and he is willing to answer any questions. I couldn't recommend him enough!

Absolutely fantastic service highly recommend, after having Ian out to fix my boiler he told me best thing would be a replacement, after explaining funds were tight at the time he went out of his way to make it work returning twice with different parts to try repair the old boiler some how he got it working again but recommend a replacement soon. Roll on two months later when he came to fit the new one couldn’t believe how quickly he hold the old one out and new unit in and up and running. Such a neat job so much pride taken looking forward to having him back for annual services. Thanks again.

Leak in the bathroom behind fitted units: Ian arrived promptly, and dealt with the issue quickly and effectively. Very knowledgeable, polite and friendly. Would certainly use again. Recommended!

Ian came to our rescue and installed new pipework, replacing underground pipework where gas leak were suspected to have come from. Knowing that we were without gas and hence hot water, he kindly carried out the work straight away, the next day. He put in new pipe work from the gas meter into the kitchen, and connected it to gas appliances and put in isolation tap. Ian deliver a highly professional and cost effective service. Ian and his staff is knowledgeable, friendly, efficient and a pleasure to use.

I have used this firm on two occasions. The first time was for general building and maintenance lasting 3 days during which they had to cope with extreme weather conditions. This did not phase them and they still managed to complete the work on time and to the highest standards. The second occasion was for boiler repair and servicing. They were so thorough that it made me question what previous engineers had actually done for their money! If you want a highly competent, professional and polite firm I can certainly recommend them.

Just used these guys to replace my very old boiler with a combi boiler. Lots of work involved as wanted boiler out of the kitchen and into the loft . Also had a radiator fitted into my airing cupboard. The hole left from the old boiler was bricked up and as you can see from the photo, you can hardly see where it was. The pipework is extremely neat and very trendy looking. They were friendly and courteous and even helped me to download the boiler app onto my phone. They were competitively priced too. I would definitely recommend this firm and they will be top of my list if I need any more work doing. Big thank you Ian , you did a fantastic job.

I was lucky enough to find Ian after another plumber had left me with an extremely dangerous boiler. Ian diagnosed the problem and condemned the boiler immediately. He then fitted a new boiler as soon as was possible. Every step of the way he explained everything, and showed me what he was doing and why. He is a genuinely nice person, and I trust him. He comes on time and leaves things clean and tidy. His prices are very reasonable. I absolutely cannot fault him. If only all trades were the same. Thank you Ian.

I was recommended Ian and his team after I had been chasing up two other plumbers for weeks to fix my boiler. They offer a really good and affordable service with a no job too small attitude which was what I needed after being given the "you definitely need a new boiler" speech before anyone had even walked through the door. They replaced the parts and i've had constant hot water ever since. The second I do need a new boiler i'll be giving Ian a ring without any hesitation. Cheers mate!

Boiler broke down Christmas eve, original engineer failed to correct the problem. When Ian was contacted he was here the same day, and within a very short time had the boiler back in service. Since then he has fully serviced the boiler. Most impressed with the speed the problem was solved, and the low cost. We will be having a yearly service. Cannot Thank Ian enough and would highly reccomend his firm.

To me the only thing to think about where plumbers are concerned is reliability and quality of service, so I have been fantastically impressed with Ian Atkin for providing an excellent quality service. He was not only punctual, but made a massive effort to communicate when he would and would not be available, which really helped to manage expectations. I just want to say a massive thanks for not only getting our hot water working again but for the additional checks to the boiler and immersion heating system. This quality of service makes Ian the only plumber that I need from here on out. I couldn’t recommend him more.

I found Ian to be extremely professional in every way. He arrived at the specified time, completed the job (which as always, was not as straight forward as expected) and he had warned me of the possible pitfalls that could ensue. He took great care not to cause any damage to my fixtures and fittings and the quality of his work is excellent. I have now found a tradesman I trust and would definitely use again if required and I would certainly recommend him without hesitation.
