Unfortunatly we had a puncture in our car and as my husband was trying to sort it .a very nice young man from the garage and kindly offered to change wheel for us.They even sorted out another one for us . The whole team were so helpul as well as it bn a very hot day. Today we went back and they regassed the air con. We really cant thank them enough
I visited the garage to get a quote for some work on my car. I was given the labour cost and was told I'd receive a call with the parts cost, but I never heard back. A few days later, I called to follow up and was disappointed by the receptionist's attitude. When I simply asked about the quote, they assumed I had got quotes from other garages was "playing garages against each other", and said that was probably why I hadn't received one and that it was a waste of their time to give me one. This was confusing, especially as I'd been told I'd receive the quote when I visited. After that, the call randomly went silent for a while, which came across as quite rude. It felt like I'd been put on hold or muted without any explanation, so I eventually ended the call. Nobody called me back. As a returning customer, I found the experience disappointing. I was only following up on a quote I'd been promised, and based on this experience I won't be visiting this garage again.
Absolutely outstanding service! Bought my BMW with a severe juddering issue Dave and his team sorted it out very quickly and at a great price! Very professional, polite and honest! 10/10 would recommend!

I've had my various cars looked after by the guys at Banstead Road Garage for 35 years. No job has been too big or too small. They have always operated with the utmost efficiency and transparency.

I recently took my car for a service , they done an amazing job and very quickly. Its not my first time going and their friendly and efficient service never disappoints, they always go above and beyond no matter what the issue is.
Went in on a Saturday, bloke took details needed a light part, said someone would get back asap probably all fixed by weds! Nobody got back ....called someone who knew nothing about it so on the Friday decided to go elsewhere, what a waste of time, believed this bloke on the Saturday he was so convincing and helpful..... Lessons learned.
I had problem with my Mitsubishi Outlander yesterday, so popped it down to Banstead Road Garage, to see what they could do with it. I was asked to have a seat in reception and in what seemed no time at all, Andy brought the car around the front of the garage, 'all done' he said. We have purchased cars and had them serviced (both mine and my wife's cars) and the they have always been professional, but friendly at the same time and have never taken advantage of their position like we have had with main dealers in the past. Used this garage multiple times as was advised by family member. They took £350 off me to do a full service roughly 2 months ago, completed the full service when really and truly my car should not of even been on the road with the issues it had and they ignored. Main coolant pile from engine corroded and despite me asking them to check for water leak nothing was picked up on. Was told rocker cover gasket needed changing but was not told it was urgent was told to bring it back whenever I was free to have it done, made it VERY clear I drive 250+ miles every week and asked if that was safe which they said yes. I’m a young woman so they have just taken advantage of my trust in them and have lead to my car now needing a new engine. Since this, I’ve had several warning lights come up, and randomly yesterday the car turned into a tractor while driving normally and when I called RAC out they said this is because of the gasket leak causing oil to get into the spark plugs, but he insisted this was an long term ongoing problem and something BANSTEAD ROAD GARAGE should of picked up on. I’ve since been advised by another mechanic that they should never of done the service or taken my £350 to complete the service when the gasket problem was EVIDENTLY much more important than a service. Since then (but before these problems) they’ve had my families cars in for services and left oil cap off resulting in splashing oil in engine bay. The “mechanics” are kids they evidently have no clue what they’re doing. Pretty sure there is 1 mechanic who speaks to customers (unsure of name, dark haired man) when dropping off car which ensures you to feel confident in work being done, but then gets handed to kids out back. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY - YOULL HAVE NO ENGINE LEFT IF LISTENING TO ADVICE FROM THESE SO CALLED “MECHANICS” I.E - FRAUDS.
Such a good garage, always fit me in and are so friendly. David managed to slot my MOT in last minute as it had expired and also managed to repair my key as it was broken. I would highly recommend! Thank you so much :)

I'm so grateful that we've got this garage locally. I've used them for the last nearly nine years and they've always been great at working out the problem and dealing with it efficiently. Really importantly I trust them to be honest about the problems and their charges are really fair. On more than one occasion they haven't charged or have charged a minimum for a minor issue. You don't feel as if they are trying just to make as much money as possible from their customers - but that they are looking after their customers. The communication is really good and I can't speak highly enough of them.

As a family, we have used Banstead Road Garage for over 25 years for our numerous cars! The staff are always very approachable and very knowledgeable. Last week we had a problem with one of our cars which needed to be seen to as a matter of urgency. Natalie, at the front desk, advised us to take the car to the garage and both Sam and Mateus sorted the problem out for us there and then. I understand that Mateus has recently joined the staff and what an asset he is! Thank you to Dave and Andy for running such an amazing business which I always recommend to my friends.

We've taken our cars to this garage since we moved to the area about 8 years ago and they are always excellent. Honest, friendly, and the prices are reasonable. Today they helped me out of a jam as I desperately needed a small fix before a long journey. They squeezed the job in at 5 minutes notice and wouldn't even take my money. Highly recommended!

I've been servicing, my cars here for over 4 years now. Every service or repair is done to highest standard with reasonable price. Everything is explained what is wrong and what need to be done. Massive thank you to Andy who even after hours is happy to help if in need.Lately I had issue with tapping noise on the steering column ( imported toyota estima) another garages quoted me stupid amount of money to fix it, where diagnosis was wrong anyway, Andy done it in two hours saving me a lot of money, hassle which I'm very thankfull. We’ve been using Banstead Road Garage for many years for MOTs and fixing faults. It’s always been easy to book the car in quite promptly through their very helpful staff on reception, they have given a good explanation of any problems and provided quotes, including whether there may be any additional costs once work has started. The quotes have always seemed very competitive, and the work carried out to our complete satisfaction. In addition, a big thank you to Dave for pulling out the dent in the tailgate of our campervan when we took it in for MOT recently – as we hadn’t even mentioned it, this really was going over and above!
** took our car to charge the battery but didn't let us know by end of the day what was happening- told to come at 7.15 and someone would be there, no one there at 7.15, no car - cannot get my child to nursery. Had to get taxi to work. Communication is appalling. ** Booked our fiesta in last year and the service ended up with our engine broken. It was with the garage for over 10 days being fixed. Recently, our tiguan went in for the airbag to be fixed and now central locking won't work. Was told on Friday to bring it in on Saturday and they just needed some software from VW to fix it. Saturday staff had no idea what to do with the car so picked it up unfixed. Took it back into day on Monday morning, back at 5pm to more excuses and contradictory stories. 4 days later and car not fixed. Partner cannot go to work, no complementary car offered. Unlikely to use again.

Scratched my alloy wheels during wheel bearing replacement. Looks like by putting the wheel painted side to ground. Should care more about the customer’s vehicle during the work they are doing.

Best garage. Have had my MOT and services done here for years and they always do a great job and I trus them. Went this morning and Dave re-set my tyre pressure on the dashboard for me which I didn't know how to do. They are always kind and accomodating. I took my car to the garage on 1st August for a MOT, mini service, boot lock repair (under their warranty as they fitted one that doesn’t lock) and a battery alert issue. They left the car for close to a month parked on a public highway with no MOT registered with the government website. I’ve chased them numerous times, all in vain. No work has been done excuses at every turn. I’ve now reported them to Trading Standards, an absolute joke of a firm. A number of my friends and colleagues who have used them for years agree with me. Whatever you do don’t waste your time here, they are amateurs who are only interested in changing brake pads and replacing air filters. Everything else is a bit too much like hard work.
Been getting my car serviced and MOT there for years and was excellent, but had problems with my power window this time and they could not fix it , took it back twice and was kept for 2days , still not fixed and the customer service was terrible , had to take it to another garage and was done promptly,

Terrific service for the 23 years we've lived around the corner from them! BRG have always been honest and when a car part has failed they show you the old part and explain what was wrong with it. When unforeseen issues have arisen during an MOT they always call to check if the increased necessary repair price is acceptable before commencing the work. Friendly and reliable. We're very lucky they're on the doorstep!
Got a puncture as I left work and was driving to the airport. Found them as the closest garage en route. As I pulled up the tyre had gone completely flat. Oh my life they were amazing. They could see I was stressed and they sorted it super quickly with zero delay and very friendly. I’ve made my flight! Thank you!
Honest and reliable car repairs. Updated review. Unfortunately I have amended my review because of bad customer service. I asked for a quote to get my car repaired, it potentially needed a head gasket replacement and I asked the garage for a quote. I called every week for about 4 weeks but nothing, no call back to tell me if they can or cannot. It's now been 6 weeks. Eventually I called The Test Station in Hackbridge for a quote., they said they would get back to me. After about 15min someone got back to me and apologized that they are just too busy at the moment to do a head gasket replacement but gave me a number of someone that could help. This is customer service. It doesn't take much to keep customers.

I Bought a door for my sisters Prius from them, They never just offered to fit it for us Without us asking, BUT also included a Side mirror within the original bill, of which ours was broken & taped together, SHOCKING Absolutely Gobsmacked, They took every step they could do without me or my sister suggesting??? In this day & age Its just hard to come across such a quality service Provider. Watch out for Davy boy, He will Hook you up with your needs & wants without you even Blinking twice, & the Young Lovely Handsome Fitters, They have available They will Button you up, & send you on your way in NO time At all! I volunteer for St Raphaels Hospice, one of their patients who I see in their home owns an old Mercedes which is hardly used. They went to get something out of the car yesterday and the key battery was flat. I said I would help by looking on YouTube to see how to change the battery . Unfortunately as the car was old the key type was not shown. I went into see the team to ask advice on how to open the key fob to replace the battery. I was surprised and delighted when the problem was quickly solved and as it was for a St Raphaels patient they waived the costs of the batteries. My car was in and out since 11th of January as there was a coolant leak and no heater coming from it. They have changed parts I paid and have ruined my engine. The car is no running at the moment. They lied and they are not professional.

Had a full service and timing belt change by this garage. I spoke to Andy who is a mechanic there about my issue and that it needed doing ASAP. He didn’t make me wait, he saw my car the next day, and was able to pick up that day also. The response was efficient, professional, trustworthy and clean. I highly recommend this garage to anyone. i needed an MOT very urgently. I walked in and they fitted me in at the end of a busy day. Great people to deal with intelligent freindly and knowledgeable. The premises were clean and tidy and there was seating if you needed, i did need to sit down as i am disabled. Iwould thoroughly recommend this garage and will definately go back.

We had an issue with a stuck/seized tyre valve cap. Two other garages were unable to get them off or have any meaningful solution except to cut off the valves. Called Banstead Road Garage who offered to see us straight away. When we got there Dave saw to us even though they were busy and got the valve caps off in 5 mins. Extremely friendly and professional service. Highly recommended and would definitely return.
If you want to take your car to a garage to get your car fixed but to have absolutely nothing done leaving you with no car for 2 days then this is the place!!!!! 👍 Not only will they do absolutely nothing to fix it for 2 whole days, they wont call you to let you know they’re doing nothing to fix the car and to top it off they will park it on another road round the corner for you to collect!! 👍 Absolutely fantastic at being absolutely rubbish, well done Banstead rd garage at being amazing time wasters, leaving me with no car for 2 whole days, not contacting me to let me know you are incapable of doing a simple job and great work on looking after my car by leaving it on another road round the corner for me to collect! Asked them to lower my car quoted me a price of £70 then after finished they charged me £100 as a 18 year old student I don’t have that kind of money laying round. When I said I didn’t have the money they couldn’t care less even tho it’s not my problem that it took them longer than expected. Never going there again.

This was the 1st time I'd used this garage. I was quite impressed. I booked my car in for a service by emailing them. I dropped it off in the morning and it was ready for collection by 2.30pm (the time I had requested). Dave called me to discuss a few issues when he started the service, which was great. I also got a verbal and printed summary on collection of the work carried out, and recommendations for further remedial work needed. I will be using them regularly from now on.
Excellent garage, came here for a second opinion as my first choice garage was making up problems (advised to replace perfectly good brake pads etc).to charge me more! They found the real and only issue and fixed it for me the next day! I don't go anywhere else now for MOT's etc.
We've been using this garage for over 25 years and staff have been consistently obliging over that period. The most recent example of this occurred a few days ago when a quick repair to a rear view mirror that had become detached (and was gradually disintegrating as a result of my own ham-fistedness!) was effected at short notice and at no cost. We have always found servicing and repairs to be carried out efficiently and to be fairly priced with clear explanations given of any relevant issues. Other family members have recently moved into the area and we will have no hesitation in recommending they use this garage. Update - two years on! Helpfulness has continued, with a detached wing mirror glass being quickly reattached FOC this afternoon. Pleased to say that aforementioned family members have followed our recommendations. We are customers of 30 years and have had many cars through BRG over the years. They recently undertook a Clutch change, full service and MOT on our Mini. They did a great job and the quote was accurate almost to the penny. It has transformed an undriveable car which now has many years left in it. We will be back, hopefully not too soon though!
I contacted the garage by email late at night and followed up with a call early in the morning. They arranged collection of the vehicle, and because of circumstances the urgent need to rectify the fault. They keep in contact by phone and the car was returned mid afternoon the same day. Just incredible service - truly second to none.

Can't beat the service you get from Banstead Garage. All are extremely friendly and hardworking, their work is spot on, no nasty surprises when you get the bill, always up front with you. Dave and team have been working on my Truck which has been a lil bit of a challenge - removing seized balljoints and other annoying jobs that they have taken on and completed, all done to their best abilities, quickly and very competitively.

Called the garage late on a Tuesday afternoon with a loud banging noise from the front offside. Car was booked in the following morning and there followed a highly professional, efficient and speedy service with repairs all completed within the day including sourcing parts.
Had a puncture on Wednesday. Noticed the nail in the tyre and drove straight over to the garage. They fixed it there and then in about 15 minutes. They’re the cheapest for puncture repairs around and I’ve never once been ripped off. All honest and reasonable and the guy at the front is very good at explaining what’s going on. Wouldn’t go anywhere else. Always do our services here too.
This place is a life saver. I had a tyre blowout yesterday on M1 and got home to Carshalton to try and find a place to sort the car. They said bring the car right over and sourced the exact tyre I had previously. It was all sorted in under half an hour. Top notch service on a day when I just needed it sorted without fuss.

I've used Banstead Road Garage a couple of time now, and both times were great. Friendly and very helpful staff, the work done was to a high standard and on my last visit when I had my tyres changed, they even fixed an annoying rattle I had - not linked to the tyres - that I had on the passenger side! I would definitely return/recommend.
My garage of choice for the area. I’ve been back many times from punctures, full tyre changes to servicing. They’re going to be doing the water pump and cam belt change next.

This was the first time i used this garage. I have to say they have done a good job on my car and it was quick as well. The receptionist lady was very friendly and helpful. The whole process was very smooth and fast. I would definitely recommend them.

The two young men who have taken over from him have continued the tradition, inspiring confidence in their ability and determination to do a good job. They and their team go out of their way to be helpful.
My wife and her family have used this garage for years with excellent service and we would recommend them to anyone. Most recently we had a problem with the car, we took the car in on the same day to the garage and were able to tell us that our catalytic converter had been stolen and explain clearly what needed to be done. Staff are always friendly and helpful.

This garage have helped me out a couple of time so far, first with a starter motor, they made arrangements to take the car from me running and straight onto the ramp for fixing, the next time I had a door deadbolt issue that they diagnosed as a loose connection and fixed it saving me £100s on a new door solenoid. Friendly, fast, efficient, I'd happily recommend them to all.
