Really pleased with the heat pump that Heat Different installed at my house very quiet and my house is lovely and warm. The installer was very helpful.

We have been considering the idea of installing a heat pump in our home as we are all electric and the boiler was eye-wateringly expensive to run. Following research we decided to use HeatDifferent and from the outset they have been brilliant. Each member of their team is really excellent in their own area of expertise and they work so well as a team. We chose Heat Different over several Norfolk-based installers to carry out a full central heating installation in a house with a non-traditional setup. From the outset, their approach stood out. Using only the house sale information, Heat Different swiftly provided an initial budget estimate for us to review. This is where the difference became clear. Craig, the frontman of Heat Different, is 100% customer-focused. His approach was thoughtful and accommodating — even arranging a site visit to my workplace to make things easier for me. The quote was refined through further visits, with clever options like modern twists on standard radiators to maximise usable space. Once we accepted the quote, scheduling was quick and flexible. Unlike smaller outfits, Heat Different has a full team, which meant Allan progressed the project smoothly even while some team members were on holiday. Luke led the installation alongside Samy, and their work was superb — striking the perfect balance between beauty and efficiency. Hidden elements were professionally done, and visible ones were fantastic. We sacrificed some garage space to maximise the house’s layout, and their thoughtful pipework gave the space an “engineering plant room” feel that more than made up for it. Throughout the installation, the team was respectful of the property — a trait sadly missing from many others who’ve worked on the house during its renovation. We also entrusted Heat Different with the groundworks, and Tim took charge of this, expertly handling the base and clearing a root-filled soakaway along the way. In any project, you need to balance budget with trust in the people doing the job. It’s unrealistic to expect a snag-free experience, but the few issues we encountered were handled swiftly and without fuss — a testament to the company’s customer-first ethos. David commissioned the system and provided a thorough explanation of how it works, which was especially helpful given our previous experience with a combi boiler setup. In summary: A great team, customer-focused from start to finish. Based on our experience, I would have no hesitation in recommending Heat Different. It’s easy to see why their office has won recent awards.

We were keen to see if our property would be suitable for an air source heat pump and we wanted it to be installed by a reputable company with a proven track record and expertise in the field of heat pump installations. On contacting Heat Different, Craig was quick to reply to our enquiry and visit us. We have a solar thermal hot water system which we were keen to retain and we had a few other questions which we wanted to ask Craig about the proposed installation. Craig confirmed that we would be able to integrate the solar thermals into an ASHP system, and also promptly put our minds at rest on all the other questions we had in our minds. In fact, Craig answered our questions before we even got a chance to raise them; we were very impressed. Craig designed the installation for us in a way that we would gain storage inside our home and the ASHP would be installed in a convenient, unobtrusive location in our back garden. We are very happy with the super quiet Stiebel Eltron ASHP, and that we chose Craig and the team at Heat Different to supply and install it for us. As at time of writing we are eager to try out the heating but we will just have to try and be patient and not wish for colder weather too soon. We have every confidence that this winter our home will be warmer and draught free! We’re sure it’s not always easy or simple for the installers to do a retro fit on a domestic property, but Craig and the team did themselves proud. Thanks to the whole team at Heat Different. The job was completed as agreed and to our satisfaction. A leak did occur during the commissioning process which is likely to have caused considerable delay for other installers. Heat Different resolved this problem with little fuss/mess. All people/companies make mistakes and it is the ability to resolve these to the customers satisfaction that counts. Well done Heat Different! Although the system is not yet being used for heating due to the weather we have every confidence that during the next cold spell it will perform as designed.

Heat Different were quick to respond to my initial enquiry and came out for a visit. We were looking at replacing our LPG boiler with an air source heat pump under the Boiler upgrade scheme grant (BUS grant). During the visit, a lot of questions were answered. Heat Different provided us with two options, one for a Viessman ASHP and the other for a Steibel Eltron ASHP. We decided to go for a Viessman Vitocal 150-A. Heat Different kept us up to date with the process of our order, grant application and DNO notification. All went very smoothly. Installation went ahead on the date agreed. The team were professional, tidy and accommodating. Good quality materials used. Installation and commissioning were completed in 4 days. Very happy with the result and would recommend Heat Different to friends and family. We are glad we chose a local company who have lots of experience with heat pump installations.

We're newbies to heat pumps and are in the process of deciding on which brand but we're based too far away (on south coast) from Heat Different to commission the work. I contacted them after seeing they install both brands we were looking at (Viessmann/ Stiebel Eltron) and their reviews were glowing. Even though Craig knew he wouldn't be able to tender for the work he was quick to offer and more than happy to advise us on the HP's we were considering and even looked over the quotes we'd received from our local installers to comment on. The advice he's given us has alayed any concerns we had and confirmed our choices which, in a HP minefield has given us the confidence to proceed. I can't recommend Craig enough, he really has gone above and beyond in his assistance and had we lived closer Heat Different they would have definitely won the work. Thank you!

Following a recommendation, we contacted Craig for a quote for a Viessmann Vitocal 151-A. The process from quote to the commissioning went through seamlessly. The team were always polite, knowledgeable and happy to explain what they were doing and how to use the system. The site was cleared of all rubbish in a timely manner. Over a month of running, we have achieved a COP of 4.71 across both heating and direct hot water. More than happy to recommend Craig and his team.

I spotted Craig's sign written Vans on the A11 and was seeking air source heat installation for our multiple barn renovation. I contacted them (and a few others). Craig was first to turn up, he was really professional, knowledgeable, approachable and understood that we didn't know a thing about air source. We had 3 units installed and the whole team have done a fantastic job. The installation was smooth, exceptionally neat, it works great so all our newbie fears have disappeared. I got all the paperwork through and the warranty. We love our underfloor air source heating, it is perfect, warm and easy to use. I'd certainly recommend Heat Different and would reassure anyone committing to a change in heating it is a breeze with their team.

We recently had a domestic air source heat-pump installed by Heat Different. Right from the start we were impressed by how Craig surveyed our system with a view to installing the pump. The installation itself was very efficient with workmen turning up on time, working hard under cramped conditions inside and cold wet conditions outside. They were always extremely polite and pleasant to have in our home and cleared up thoroughly after. All the rubbish produced from the installation and our old boiler were cleared from the site. The heat-pump itself turned out to be faulty and Heat Different were pro-active in getting a brand new replacement rather than a repair. The manufacturer’s engineer, during an on-site visit, said “If we get a call from Heat Different I know that there really is a problem with the heat-pump - Heat Different know their product, how it works and how to set it up." The heat pump itself is purring away quietly outside our backdoor and makes far less noise than our old boiler. We have plenty of hot water and the radiators upstairs (we have underfloor heating downstairs) although warm rather than hot are producing more than enough heat to heat the bedrooms on a frosty morning. In the recent (December 2022) cold snap we were warm and toasty, the heatpump working at an efficiency of at least 3 We do not hesitate to recommend Heat Different.

So I required a retro fit of a heat pump system into an old house with old plumbing. I wanted to discuss the best solution and all I got back was quotes from numerous suppliers for an installed system. I had lots of questions and issues to resolve and wanted to discuss. Heat Different spent time discussing the options and we came up with a plan. Craig and team were brilliant. They use modern press fit plumbing, planned the plumbing before starting and did an excellent tight and clean install. We had an issue with a plate exchanger, that was not performing, they discussed and replaced with Viessmann without issue very quickly, cannot ask more. I have a Viessmann heat pump which is keenly priced and efficient. Sat here warm and cosy, I cannot recommend more. I have added some photos through the install, to give an idea (the plumbing was installed behind a cupboard as requested by an awkward customer).

From inception of the project to install an air source heating system, through my own research of the market options to the eventual contract and installation, we found Heat Different professional, competitive and excellent to work with. The Viessmann product looks great too and the mobile management system makes keeping on top of the settings really easy. Overall we are delighted with our purchase and our choice of Heat Different as suppliers/installers/commissioners.
