We had moved into a house with some truly terrible fencing our crazy dog would have had no trouble getting out of. A quick Google led us to Dan, who came over, offered us a quote, and booked the start date. 4 days later, we have a fence that looks stunning, is totally secure, and has removed a point of contention with a surrounding landowner, as well as correctly utilising our right of way. We also requested a section of block paving and general clearance surrounding our driveway. This was completed quickly as well as having all rubbish removed. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Dan and his crew for whatever projects you are considering. On budget, flexible, friendly, and professional throughout.

Discussed job needed with Dan thought he attended the job but instead just decided to not show up and not even reply to my messages or let me know he couldn’t do the work. I feel people should know about these unprofessional work man. Wouldn’t recommend at all.
Poor patio installation and left with loose bricks. No hard core base loaded and ended up having to have an expert correct it . Would not come back to fix it and answer calls etc (A ghost)
If you want a professional job done then look no further than Dan. His work ethic is second to none whilst being very professional throughout when he replaced our fencing. I will definitely be using him again.

Dan and his team provided a competitive quote same day , once booked they turned up on time , completed the job quickly and cleared up taking away the old fencing too It was 30degrees the day they came but they just got on with it! Would use them again and recommend Dan's services.

Good quality build.chatted through what I required and only took 1 and a half days to erect 8 panels,posts and gravel boards. Cleared away all old fencing and left tidy. Would use again.👍👍
The company responded very quickly to my request for a quote. Indicative pricing and timings were quickly gained via photos and then an in-person review quickly turned into a booking. Pricing was competitive, very personable and well explained. The job was booked in, and the updates on the progress of the work were regular and professional. The final job was clean, excellent and finished to a high standard (my daughter has reviewed it as 'snazzy'). I would CERTAINLY use this company again.

Okay. I have to be honest and truthful I don't often leaves reviews of companies but on this occasion I have to. I run a great landscaping company for many years myself, I am now retired and unfortunately not able to do any work myself so after looking around at many companies and asking for recommendations I found affordable landscapes and fencing Dan is an honest upfront no quibble person after his work was finish . I could only say I couldn't have done a better job myself , that is something coming from me. GW landscapes and paving contractors traded for over 48 years to the general public in Essex. So i can only say you've made the right choice . Enjoy you garden like i am.
We had Danny round from affordable fencing and landscapes to install a fence in our back garden. He was friendly, reliable and affordable. From start to finish we can’t fault him or his work in any way. He even done extra and didn’t charge us. We are absolutely over the moon with everything he done for us. Danny & Tony relaid a large area of limestone slabs. The edges of the patio are very curved but they managed to make a brilliant job of cutting the slabs to fit. One day of the job it rained all day but they kept working and still kept cheerful. We would recommend them to anyone. Also you won’t beat the price. Reg & Joy Wickham
AMAZING in every area. I had a neglected large garden and Dan came in replaced the large fence (12 panels), built a 30ft/13ft concreate base and completely re turfed the rest of the area. The quality of work and hard work from Dan was OUTSTANDING. In a time where a lot of companies are charging over the top prices, Dan's price was extremely reasonable and he also kept to his promise of beating any quote i had. Dan was always adaptable to my needs and gave professional advise on what would make the garden look better. I would absolutely recommend Dan to anybody and will be keeping his number for any future work.

DO NOT USE this company. Avoid Avoid. Daniel ripped me off for £425.00. I sent him the money for materials but he has not carried out the work, no comminication and I can't get hold of him by calls,texts or emails. I have now found out he has done this before. Police are now involved. Avoid to save yourself being scammed.

Couldn’t recommend Dan enough absolutely love the fencing he’s completed in our garden he was here when he said he would be and didn’t leave until he work was done. His prices can’t be beat and we will love having him back to finish off the rest of our garden with a new patio and steps in the new year.
This man did work for me up until then he seemed like a nice person then out of the blue sand no reason changed ..he took money from me to do another job which he said had ordered the material and needed the money upfront ..since then I have neither the money or the material ..having repeatedly asked where either was ..and asked where the material was so I could pick it up no reply .again I asked then I said would take legal on this as I see it was theft ..his reply was 'I'll get ur proxy stuff when it's in leave me alone else you dont know what I mite di ' which means he hadnt ordered at all but has kept the money .after 2 weeks I'm none the wiser still out of pocket and has blocked me so I cannot contact him ..beware dint touch him with barge pole seems nice one minute jeckle n hide .all I wanted was my money back or the material I am now seeking legal advise to stop this man doing this to someone else..which looking at some of the reviews he has ( ) ..not a good reputation to have

Dan's latest update is the fence he just completed in my garden.. Not sure about many negative reviews but his workmanship was spot on and he done what it said on the tin!!! Very happy with the final outcome and would definitely recommend Dan too all those who want some garden, patio etc done. Any future work I require will most definitely be going his way. Keep providing what your good at!!!
completed my decking lovely at a really reasonable price. Recommended to my parents and completed an absolute shocking job. Put an edging around the decking to cover up shoddy work, didn’t finish the job properly, overcharged and then charged £300 for an extra day when two of the days already paid for only turned up for an hour and doesn’t work full days any way only about 11-3pm. Recommended to a lot of people when we had our work done and would only say ‘stay clear’ now! Mum and dad had to pay over £500 to get their decking rectified on top of the absolute fortune charged in the first place. Price doesn’t become a problem when you get what you paid for but in this case we didn’t! We have tried contacting Danny consistently and he hasn’t responded and even come off what’s app where we have tried to get the job finished / rectified so I won’t apologise for this post.
Ok so the people on here who have had a good job done by a reliable man all I can say is your dam lucky, I am a single mum with absolutely no connections with Danny before he says I will beat him up or I'm a ex or any such garnish. I am a very unsatisfied customer who had very very poor workmanship done by him, he arrived late every day, build my fencing around tree stumps, over disused wire fencing, and attached my fence to my shed instead of following my boundary line, he left the place a complete mess and didn't even fix the back fence to anything. He stole my late father's wheelbarrow and when I asked for it back he brought me a tatty old one, he charged me for lots of things he didn't provide. I have gone to trading standards which he knows about, I'm also going to the police for theft. If you don't believe I can send you photographic evidence. Oh and just to say that after I sent him a copy of my letter to trading standards he changed his website and photos etc. If you know him please ask him to reimburse me for what he took but didn't use, I paid him well over for the job he did and would just like some money back and a apology.

Had a patio extended by Danny. Which I messaged and got a response within 20 mins and he arranged a meeting and quote within an hr. did take 2 days to complete due to the hard ground and bad westher. Also Danny done extra jobs for nothing extra. Really friendly guy
If you want fence panels and posts that move about, a mess created left in your garden, unreliability and ignored phone calls, then this is the man you need to use. Avoid him unless you want to be out of pocket. If in any doubt, ask why no-one in Colchester will give him a trade account. Those who have had their fingers burned, know not to trust him. His work is cheap but you end up paying more to correct the error/damage he causes.
