Live Line Electrical were excellent. Our electrician Tom did a brilliant job finding and fixing faults with a faulty plug socket and ceiling light in an old house. He also installed a new double plug socket and bathroom light switch. Everything is working perfectly. Communication throughout was very good, Tom checked with us beforehand where we'd like the plug sockets and light switch placed. He also talked us through our options with the repairs and asked us how we'd like it wired (where possible). We have old floorboards in the property that we wanted to preserve and Tom was very careful when lifting and replacing the boards and also did a great job patching up the ceilings where he'd cut through to access the wiring. Tom also went above and beyond and stayed late to make sure the works had been completed on a Friday, having started at 8am. We felt it was very reasonably priced for the works carried out. We would definitely use them again, thank you!

Greg visited in early June as I had changed my car to a full electric. Following his advice I sourced the Hypervolt Home 3 Pro charger from a third party. As soon as it was ordered Greg was given the expected delivery date and a visit to install scheduled. On the day of install Greg arrived and started his tasks even before I got home from work at about 09:15. There were no issues, everything was connected, the consumer unit upgraded for electricity spike protection, all of the network cables connected back to our home router an everything left clean and tidy. Greg's next task will be a rewire of the entire house once I can save enough money to pay for it, as this is not a cheap job.

We wanted three new sockets, one outside, and a fault traced as one of the trip switches did not trip when tested. Live Line arrived when they say they would and made a good clean job. They are competitively priced and all the necessary documentation is sent to you as it should be.

Great response time and kept me informed of the job progress, and the engineer was very friendly and talked me through the process of what he was doing and why.

Greg is a pleasure to have around, diligent, helpful, he has become my go-to for all things electrics.

What started off as a legacy fuse box issue, became a full-house rewire. We couldn't fault Greg throughout - well communicated, regular updates and thorough with the job. We had a couple of mop-up issues which were attended to promptly - absolutely no complaints and thoroughly recommended.

From start to finish Greg & his team did a superb job on rewiring a large, four-level house. - Greg’s initial quote was clear and well costed, so I knew exactly what I was paying for, and with clear timelines for the work. - Greg’s experience meant he was able to advise on where switches, sockets & lights should best be placed. - His team did the job with great professionalism, and were always helpful. I was kept in the loop and knew what was going on, and when. - The team were flexible, so I was able to add in smoke alarms to the original quote. - Aftercare was superb - Greg was really helpful dealing with snagging.

Very professional company and reliable

Greg turned up on agreed time, full van of tools and bag full of testing equipment. After short conversation he got straight to work. Work went quick and with no big issues. He was recording his work, explaining to me what he is doing and never stopped working. I have seldom have seen someone so sure and proud of his work. I have learned few things, had great time doing that and on top of that I have got new consumer unit fully sighned off and ready for the future. Work was done quick and clean, all as agreed beforehand.( including price ) Honest quote, good job description, perfect execution.

The current time setting of the security light isn’t adequate for the purpose of installation, if someone could reset the timer to 3min as promised that would be greatly appreciated. Excellent service would recommend

I put out a message on Checkatrade for an electrician to install a wall light and replace two pendant fittings and got two similar quotations -- one from this company, and one from another firm. I chose this company as they responded more quickly and their 'quote' was ever so slightly cheaper than the other firm. They sent me through a detailed quotation document that looked professional. The work was completed by a very nice young electrician. A few days later I received an invoice for significantly more than the quoted amount. This did not make sense to me so I queried it and was told that the original 'quote' had contained text explaining that the quoted figure was in fact an 'estimate' and that I might be charged for 2 hours extra labour. This extra 2 hours had been added on to the final invoice, and was mentioned in the small print of the 'quote.' I have worked with various tradespeople over the years and I have never been given a quote which is in fact an estimate. It has always been made very clear to me which of the two it is. To disguise an estimate as a quote felt underhand to me. It left me expecting to pay one amount only to feel suddenly overcharged. When I explained this to the company, both in messages and by letter, they would not budge. They have explained that what they are doing -- in converting a quote to an estimate in their small print -- is legal. Fine. But is it fair on the customer expecting to pay one amount unless they scrutinised the quotation very closely? I don't think it's reasonable to have to expect your customers to have to do the hypothetical calculation as to the amount they will be paying themselves. It's a shame because I'm sure I will need to call on the services of an electrician again in the future. This could have been the start of an ongoing working relationship but unfortunately my experience has been such that I won't be using this firm's business again.

Polite, punctual, professional. Greg did a first rate wiring job in my flat with minimal down time. I even learned a couple of things about RCDs. Happy to recommend.

Live Line are very professional. They were quick to respond to my original contact and provide an estimate. Any queries were dealt with very quickly. They communicated before arriving to undertake the work giving the name of who was coming and an time of arrival. They went through the work on arrival and queries were dealt with on site. Delightful, pleasant, efficient and hard-working electricians. They came quickly, and they worked very hard to replace a fuse box and tried to find an exact replacement for a radiator under warranty.

Fast response on an emergency call out on a Saturday night, came within the hour, fixed in an hour and a half and very knowledgable and friendly while doing so. 100% would use again

Greg arrived before the agreed time and was straight into the job. We both knew it was going to be a long job as there was a complete Consumer unit replacement. Greg was also tasked with moving an existing External socket and installing a supply to the garden for a Hot Tub being delivered in August. Despite getting issues along the way, and having to end up moving the incoming main supply to the house he persevered, ended up with the wrong supplies from his supplier and had to correct this problem as well. Greg kept working and eventually left at 22:00 having completed everything going well beyond what is expected of any workman. I am definitely keeping this mans number for any future electrical work. The man is a star in my eyes and deserves a higher score than 5 but I can not go higher. Thank you Greg

I recommend Live Line. They’ve done EICR’s on both residential and commercial units for me. They were available at short notice, which helped as meant I could confirm rewiring wasn’t needed before I starting redecorating.
