A great experience from start to finish. We spent a considerable amount of time researching solar and battery systems before choosing JME, and Jim's knowledge, patience and personal approach really stood out. He took the time to understand what we wanted to achieve — reducing our electricity costs, making the most of our solar generation and having reliable backup during the power cuts we have experienced locally. We considered several different systems before eventually choosing a 9.6 kWp solar array with 17.52 kWh of Sigenergy battery storage and backup. The installation has been carried out to a very high standard and the system is extremely neat and tidy. Jim has also been excellent at explaining how everything works and setting us up with the mySigen app. We've only been up and running for a short time, but the initial results are already very encouraging. We're extremely pleased with both the system and the service from JME and would happily recommend Jim to anyone considering solar and battery storage.

Having gathered 10 quotes from a variety of solar companies, I decided to go with JME Energy. A local firm that explained the system, the process and responded to my queries in a speedy manner. They coordinated the installation very well, from equipment delivery, through scaffolding to the actual day of the installation. I couldn’t be happier with the service from JME Energy, especially Jim Kira and the team. From the first survey to the install, they were really professional, knew their stuff, and were always happy to answer my many questions. We worked together to tailor my system through in-depth chats, looking at my current and future needs and payback. My system includes a Fox ESS KH 7 kW hybrid inverter, Fox ESS EP12 Plus battery, and Longi Hi-MO X10 480W solar panels. It’s been working really well, and I’ve been impressed with how well everything works together. Since it was installed, I’ve been able to better manage my energy use, take part in virtual power plant export events, and I’m really happy with how it’s performing. Our installation wasn’t straightforward. Jim helped us choose the panels, did a consumer unit upgrade, installed an extra data cable for my future automation plans, and made sure the roof install had extra structural support beyond the standard requirements. He also handled a tricky cable run without cutting corners. Throughout the project, communication was great and the workmanship was top notch. Even after everything was finished, Jim still helped out whenever I had questions about the system. That level of aftercare has been really appreciated. If you're looking for a reliable solar installer who takes pride in their work and really cares about customers, I’d definitely recommend JME Energy.

This is for an EV Charger. Firstly, there wasn’t a ridiculously long lead time for getting the charger installed. All pre-order queries were answered quickly. The installation was neat and was tidied up after. Post install questions were answered quickly The cost was comparable with the big on-line installers who don’t answer the queries and don’t keep you informed. I’m very pleased with the service, the charger works well. If needed, I would use their services again. I wish I’d contacted JME Energy Ltd in the first instance.

Jim and Colleague did an excellent job installing my OHME EV charger. It was a fairly complex install but did a great job installing it and situating the cable to make it as unobtrusive as possible. Would definitely recommend JME.

We chose Jim to give us a quotation for the installation of solar panels and an EV charger. This was very comprehensive with a number of alternative choices of equipment. He managed the whole project for us, supplying scaffolders and roofers, and Jim completed all the electrical work to his exacting standards It has now been completed for over a month and we have benefitted greatly from reducing the amount of electricity we have taken from the grid, and having an export licence to sell back excess electricity that we do not use. I called JME Energy enquiring about EV chargers. Phone was answered by Jim. He spent about five minutes telling me about his company and suggesting options to fit my requirement. I sent him a very short video of my property, electric meter box and the position I wanted the charger installed. I then received a quote by email and an installation date. Jim arrived when he said he would and the job was completed in a couple of hours. I couldn't fault the process from my initial phone call to job completion. Jim and Max did a fantastic job installing a Hypervolt EV charger for me, and though the installation and cable routing looked pretty tricky to me it did not phase Jim. They turned up when they said they would, they did a really good job and went above and beyond by helping me out moving a 100kg kiln up 130ft of garden for me while they were here. I’ve now got an EV charger fitted, renewed electrics to an outdoor office and a plug for a kiln. Left everything tidy and were very friendly and helpful.

JME energy, was great. We lost power in our garage which had a fridge and freezer in it so vital, we got an electrician quickly. We rang checks trade, JME rang back quickly, arriving that day, he worked out the issue, as he was not able to get the materials needed, he temporarily fixed the problem. We then arranged a date for him to come back and fix properly. We were so impressed with JME that we then booked him to come back and do several other jobs we needed doing. JME, great communication, polite, affable, efficient. Very happy with his work, and tidiness. We will use JME again and certainly recommend to our friends and colleagues.

What a terrible experience. Stay well away

My problem with a dimmer switch was quickly resolved. The switch was replaced and some damaged threads on the box were repaired. I can now watch TV at a sensible light level. Very pleased.

Installation of a Hypervolt Home 3 pro ev charger. Right from the start I found Jim to have the attitude to wanting to help. My charger installation was not straightforward. Jim spent time explaining my options to me, explaining the pro & cons of a few different charging units that suited my requirements. I had very limited space to fit equipment into my power cabinet, but Jim took extra time & thought to rearrange to accommodate the new equipment. Resulting in a neat & tidy job. The external cable & the charger unit was fitted exactly as discussed & cosmetically looks good. A professional job. After installation ,Jim spent time to explain how everything worked & once I was happy completed the handover. Jim fitted timers to my immersion heater and towel rail and replaced a booster switch to the immersion. This is the second job Jim has done for me, the first replacing all my light fittings.
