KDE ltd is an exceptional firm from a 5-minute phone call I had an excellent customer service from the lady on the phone, Will the engineer arrived within the time scale, who fully explain to me what happened to my boiler and what needs to happen to repair it he was very friendly and explained clearly to me what had happened I have full confidence in this company to follow through on the maintenance that needs to be done on my boiler and highly recommend you use this firm with any gas or electric problems that you may have they will sort it

One star is too high. Last year we had a new house electric qoute from them that came back with a price scribbled on a bit of paper. I had to chase for two weeks to actually get the full report with excuses like ' oh the report became lost in a pile of paper' I asked if the price was all the work that needed to be done or just the urgent and then radio silence again In the end I decided to just write off nearly £400 and get another electrician who asked why they hadn't even picked up on the old electric box that actually had no breakers!!

KDE came out and replaced a bathroom radiator for me. The guys were friendly, efficient, on-time and I would recommend them ( this is the 3rd time I have used them and they have been great each time )

This week it was the Electricians turn to do work on my dad's house. There for 8am ( as promised by KDE). Worked solidly ensuring the electricity was cut for the minimum of time. Both Kevin Miles & Harry Pendlebury(apprentice) were very courteous, heard Kevin giving direction to Harry & his reasons why he would do something in a certain way which would only help in Harry's education as an Electrical Engineer. Both men engaged in conversation with my family with Kevin explaining to us all, but mainly for my dad's sake, what he was doing during the upgrade in a particular way. Poor electricians had a problem at the end of the 1st day as a socket kept tripping the system but a temporary solution was put in place. My dad was more than happy with his suggestions and as a company KDE has delivered 100%. It may be that the company might be dearer than others but the fact that they do a 'whole package' was a plus in all our eyes.

An appointment was booked by KDE for an engineer to carry out an alarm service at Bromley Farm Community Centre, Edinburgh Road, Congleton. This appointment had been made for a start time of 10.30am. An engineer failed to turn up for this appointment, which is not the first time KDE have failed to meet appointments at this venue. The KDE engineer failed to inform the customer they were not going to fulfil the appointment and KDE customer help desk team also failed to inform the customer. KDE dismissed my complaint and were only interested in their own internal procedures rather than the impact on the customer, a voluntary organisation who were significantly inconvenienced.

After being let down by another plumbing company, it was with sheer delight that I found KDE! They came when they said they would, they fix the problem, serviced the boiler and left it in much better shape than when they arrived. Even better, Arron mopped the floor before he left (it had been leaking for a number of days!) and emptied the bucket that was catching most of it too. So pleased with the entire experience from booking to repair. Thanks again!

Had 2 occasions this week to ring KDE for Emergency help. The first was at our Scouts HQ and we had 27 beaver scouts in the building.. the fire alarm was sounding. I arrived and managed to stop the alarm and did a visual of the whole building. AOK. But could not stop the panel lights from flashing. I rang KDE (1840) and explained the problem at 1917 a KDE technician arrived and after 8 mins or so sorted the problem. He said all good now but would arrange for a full check on the system first thing in the morning by the Fire Alarm engineers at KDE….

They stepped straight into an emergency situation and had us back up and running with a temporary solution in no time. Keith was incredibly professional, calm under pressure, and moved fast to find the right fix. Fit new elements and a new thermostat, and made sure everything was running safely and efficiently. The level of service, communication, and care was exceptional. Highly recommend KDE — reliable, knowledgeable, and genuinely there when you need them most.

I can't believe the amount of positive reviews this company has received, given the stories I've heard. If I could give zero starts for this company I would. We've received absolutely appalling service from their back office staff. I will point out that all the engineer's that came to the property were not at fault and actually went above and beyond for us, knowing our personal circumstances. We first contacted KDE in September based on their customer reviews due to a issue with our waste pipe meaning we had no access to a toilet. An engineer came out and determined what work needed to be done and an appointment was booked for while we were away to ensure minimal disruption. Upon coming to the property, it was confirmed that the work could not be completed because the company they use to remove the asbestos pipe had double booked. Thankfully my dad was able to come back the following day. The engineers were not able to complete the work again because of the asbestos company and had to come back on the Saturday to at least ensure we had a working toilet. Another appointment was booked for the following week for the work to be completed. The toilet was put back into place, but not sealed, the remaining pipe that we paid for was not installed and we have a whole in the wall surrounding the pipe which we expected to be filled in, not just left. We raised this with KDE but heard nothing further until they decided we owed them more money. We explained the work had not been completed and they told us it would be looked into and someone would come back to us. They failed to do this. They've now contacted us again threating action if no payment is made. Why should we pay for work that has not been completed? Would you?

Job was completed quickly. Everything left clean and tidy.

Boiler service cost has gone up more than inflation between 2019-2025: the bill has increased by 54% against RPI 40%. No gas system pressure test done this year (has been done in past years). Otherwise, the service appeared competent.

You gave our boiler its annual service on behalf of Cheshire Boiler & Electrical services. Now its turned cold were using the boiler regularly & its working fine. Your man was pleasant & completed the job well. He had a 'gas man' here at the same time.

Just had a replacement central heating system and boiler. Fantastic workmanship along with friendly and polite workmen. Left everywhere clean and tidy. I cannot recommend them highly enough. One very happy customer.

Luke was sent as the engineer to fix my boiler. He came in initially to fix the mother board but after he did he realised there was a faulty pump. He could have deferred the job for another day but went above and beyond to get a replacement and sorted it out. Even though it was late he truly did not want to let us down. What a brilliant guy!

Ed and Dan have just replaced five radiators for us. They worked really hard and did a great job. They arrived on time, communicated well and best of all, left the house tidy. The whole process was very efficient; from calling the help line to completion. Highly recommended.

Aaron came on Monday and found a small leak in the system causing a pressure drop in the boiler to a speedfit joint upstairs. He came back on Thursday and replaced the section of pipework with suitable fittings as pipework as it was a steel pipe. Aaron did an excellent job in about 2 hrs and completed the repair thank goodness and was genuinely very polite and considerate. So thank you Aaron and KDE (again!).

Anthony Richards provided an excellent service considering he came alone for a big job. Kept us well informed throughout the day and went above and beyond.

The young engineer who carried out the gas boiler service was very pleasant and efficient. However the cost was high and payment terms were draconian. Immediate payment by bank transfer was demanded with the threat an interest charge of 8% above base rate applied on a daily basis for late payment. If you prefer to pay by credit card go elsewhere.

Boiler failed overnight, I called at 9am, they fitted me in early afternoon. The engineers fixed the problem quickly and cheerfully, and also made some tweaks to the external vent which will improve combustion in future. Excellent service.

I needed replacement mixer taps in kitchen along with bathroom basin taps, which I had purchased before booking visit. This was not a problem, Paul arrived on time, called me 10 mins before arrival. Having had a full refurb on my bungalow 7 years ago which was done to a high standard KDE are my go to service supplier. This time it was a carbon monoxide alarm that had come to the end of its life, I rang them got a prompt reply & follow up with a replacement unit, fitted & tested. Also just had a boiler service done to the usual high standard.

I highly recommend KDE. The service I have received from them recently has been exceptional. I needed some outside lighting installed on my garden fence posts, complete with switches, as well as outdoor sockets. The professionalism of the electrician who did the work (Jim) was superb. He worked hard for the best part of 2 days and ensured the installation was neat, and with cables concealed where possible, so that the end finish was as good as it could be. There was a minor snag when it was all completed, which was genuinely unforeseen. Jim returned as soon as it was reported and quickly resolved it. What more can you ask for! I am extremely happy with the professionalism, workmanship, and customer service I have received from KDE and I would not hesitate to use them again!

I had a problem which was correctly identified as a faulty PCB. I had turned the central heating switch to zero afterwards and apparently I should not have done. I only found this out when I asked for someone else to come as I thought there was another problem. I now know I should leave the switch on for the whole year and only use the thermostat to turn off the central heating. Asking someone to come today was a waste of everybody's time. Everything is working ok with the new PCB and the central heating switch left on

We had no idea KDE also did plumbing until we noticed the signage on one of the vans. We .arranged for a plumber to fit sink and tap. We didn't anticipate what was involved. Brilliant service. Had a major problem at 4.45pm, they had someone out to me by 5.30. Issue quickly identified, temporary fix got the power back for the night and electrician returned at 9am with the required part and had it all fixed by 9.30am. Contractor was efficient, friendly and explained everything that was needed. I also spoke to the director on my initial call and he was incredibly kind and patient while I tried to explain the problem with a crying baby on my hip. Perfect, professional service. Annual boiler and gas fire service. The technician arrived within the given time slot and carried out the work in a businesslike fashion. He was friendly, respectful and took the necessary time to do a thorough job.

Very professional approach and always sort any issues promptly and without quibble. One reason why I have confidence in them. Latest install of EV charge point has been great. A couple of technical issues were sorted immediately and a lovely neat installation in car park place behind out back garden.

I was a great experience with the engineer whom would explain the details while they are inspecting and before they put you to wait on the quote. You can feel that you are looking after by a good hand Updated, they are very attentive while there’s question about their installation. They came and inspected the issues with short waiting time! And keep informing while working on the job.

Recently had two electrical problems and both jobs were completed both times by extremely competent electricians and an apprentice to a very high standard. would highly recommend KDE. Small problem picked up later was rectified same day within 2 hours of phone calls.

Very efficient service of our boiler. Sean fixed a small leak from the boiler quickly and efficiently, he has been to us twice now including boiler service. Very nice man ,we thanked him and said hoped we didn't see him again but is we are unlucky enough to have a further plumbing prob hope it's him. KDE reacted very quickly to our phone call and the problem was sorted ASAP. They are a very good company.

A excellent service can not be faulted .From the first instant contacting KDE the receptionist was excellent in putting me at ease and assuring me that the problems I was having would be rectified. When the Electrician arrived,Harry Stan he went straight into getting to grips with the situation and went above and beyond in resolving the issue and assisting mysel with moving some of the heavy appliances out of the way .This is definitely a company I would have no problem in recommending to anyone as to all members of the staff in my view from the outset have your priority is getting things rectified as fast as possible for your customers. I can't thank the staff enough and the Electrician is a credit to himself and KDE deserves the praise and possibly a rise.To finish I am a verified contributer to Trust Pilot and would like to put my review of KDE and to give it a 5 star review if that's acceptable to KDE and staff so if I don't hear any objections I will post this .So thank you again to KDE and all staff concerned. KDE have done a fantastic job putting in our new Worcester Bosch boiler. The service from start to finish was excellent. Paul undertook a survey and offered advice on the right boiler 10 days ago and provided a very reasonable quote the same day. We compared it with 3 other quotes over the next week and asked Dominique, who was most helpful, some questions around thermostats and programmers to confirm that KDE offered us the best all round solution - cost, service and efficiency. We then accepted the quote 2 days ago and the boiler was installed by Edward, who was very thorough along with a most considerate electrician - who sorted out a few peculiarities in our house, for which we are most grateful. We now have a lovely warm home and most importantly hot water - as tepid showers were becoming very tedious. So thank you KDE for a job well done today.

Reasonable quote (lower than expected), appointments arranged for our convenience, engineers on time and worked considerately and with no fuss. Just had a very old boiler replacement with KDE, and I am really thrilled with it. From quote to completion, the team were professional, knowledgeable and efficient. Kiran and Callum did a great job working in very tight spaces to get the boiler relocated in the bathroom along with having to update all the gas mains. I have no hesitation in recommending them for any heating jobs!

Very prompt service to my urgent gas leak, the gas engineer was confident and professional in his approach the job. When the gas leak was resolved the engineer took great care to check that all my gas appliances where in order and the was no drop in gas pressure

The guys who done the actual work where great, very professional straight on with the job, freindly and approachable. The only issues I had was, when quoted for the work I was advised the guys would turn up same day and have the job completed that day. I used annual leave to be in when the guys where there but, on the first day the plumber came and informed me the tiler would not be able to attend but, would be available the next day. I called work swapped shifts (ball ache) so I could be available the next day. KDE office called me to advise that the tiler was not available until nearly 2 weeks away leaving no where for us to be able to wash / clean... After some back and forth (More ball ache) KDE managed to arrange someone to come over to finish the job. All in all it was a very stressful experience (not all the fault of KDE) As my job can be very unresonable at times. Again the guys who came out where top notch I would give each or them 10 out of 10 just let down by scheduling and office managment.

Phoned Kde 18.00 Friday night with issues with combo boiler. Had already isolated leak. Told very helpful chap over the phone that a call on Monday would be ok as over the weekend as I wasn’t expecting any availability. I was told somebody could be with me the following morning. Leon arrived promptly and diagnosed the leaking part, attended the wholesalers to collect the replacement part and had it installed with both hot water and heating restored within 2 hours. Cannot recommend KDE highly enough.

My hot water broke, LDE had an electrician, Anthony, round the next morning with his apprentice. Both Anthony and his apprentice were extremely polite and professional. While on at my apartment they informed me that a part would need to be ordered in, after making several calls, they said that this could be something that would require more time and would need to come back once they had the part. Anthony also went to a supplier in Manchester directly after visiting my apartment, although they did not have the part either. This took place roughly between 8:45am- 10am, they also arrived early after I expressed concerns with timings due to a meeting I had at work in the morning. At around 3:30/4:00pm I was informed Anthony had managed to find the part required, although I was at work at the time Anthony waited and arrived around 5:15. After safely installing the new part and ensuring it worked, Anthony and his apprentice left at around 6pm. This was something that was originally meant to be delayed by several days and was sorted in the same days and within a few hours. Their efforts were acknowledged and appreciated. Cannot thank you both enough and recommend them to anyone requiring any electrical needs— all the best!

I had KDE to replace electrical wiring in my kitchen also other areas of the bungalow. They are a good company and trustworthy. KDE were very good when my kitchen was delayed being fitted due to a damaged worktop. They were helpful leaving the job open for the second fix in the kitchen. I recommend KDE.

Charlie did an amazing job he fixed my problem and introduced an upgrade for my boiler.

Electrition was a subcontractor from Preston who failed to complete a full electrical safety inspection of all sockets, light fittings. Electrition made a note only of issues which were already known and easily identifiable. Problems and issues l actually needed identifying to be addressed still remain without explanation, so a total waste of my time and money. Hearing that power to kitchen sockets is tripping out the fuse box he failed to investigate this and after being told that downlights on landing have been fitted with the wrong grade cable, he refused to go into the loft and look. He says the fuse box will trip if it overheats after being informed this is a concern and due to the fact that insulation has been placed directly on top of the fittings in the loft and is a potential hazard, due to previous cowboys. There are faults outstanding left unidentified. under no circumstances will I be using this company to complete the necessary electrical work to obtain an electrical safety certificate, when tny failed to provide a full safety check and diagnosis after paying out hundreds of pounds.

Had a cooker installed in a new kitchen and they ripped the floor installing when asked about the damage they said we can't fix it as we wouldn't make any money on the job fitting the cooker ! Unbelievable!

My heating stopped working the previous night I called just after 9am. Aaron arrived just after lunchtime. He was courteous, helpful, professional and explained exactly what he was doing. In addition to fixing the problem he was good enough to perform a boiler service during the same visit. It was early March and cold I was very happy with the promptness and professional service from start to finish.

I approached KDE because I had used them in the past and had a relatively positive experience. The work was a simple domestic job to replace a kitchen socket, a couple of replacement smoke detectors and to investigate an outside security light. No one arrived on the day it was booked for, a Friday, and I had no phone call. Two technicians arrived unannounced on the Monday when, fortunately, we were at home. The main work took 1 hour, with one of them mostly holding the ladder. I was somewhat surprised to find the technicians still sat in their van outside my house an hour later. When I queried this, and asked if I was still being billed for 4 hours, I got sent tracking details for the van to show it was on site for that time. All fine then!! I have had no sensible response regarding this so, in the end, decided to pay up for the full hours instead rather than waste further time with them on this. I hope this review is useful to anybody else considering using their services - perhaps get them to bill for the actual time taken rather than an inflated/obfuscated estimate. Or, better still, look elsewhere.

We have an Heat Interface Unit which wasn't working. My husband had called out an Heating Engineer who came out twice, charged us and left us with no heating. Telling us all sort of thinks. It was really worrying us because of the cost implication (underfloor heating) I spoke to KDE who then send out a very nice, polite and helpful young man, Luke. He cleaned the valves (which basically were so dirty that nothing could go through) checked as much as he could at that point, and bingo, the heating is now working. We only just moved in here a year ago. I have now managed to get the original installer out who are checking the system over. Something KDE (Luke) could not have done because that is not their area of expertise. However, Luke was great. Hope KDE keep him because he is clearly the type of employee they want.

Called them up yesterday to look at a problem tap. They called out today and have fixed it. Have used this company for over 20 years and trust every aspect of it. Today's engineer was Annie, like all the other plumbers and technicians she was incredibly professional, polite and explained everything to me. I called out an engineer to repair a broken boiler. He arrived that day and diagnosed the issue, but the repair required a part that he didn't have. He told me that he would request the part overnight and return to fit it the following day. Obviously I wasn't overjoyed to spend a November evening without heat but if that's the situation then fair enough. The following day, a Friday, I received a call in the late afternoon saying that the supplier had let them down, they couldn't source the part, and that someone would call me back on Monday, assuming they could get it by then, to rearrange the repair. Faced with the concept of a weekend without heat I asked what the broken part was. Within 5 minutes on Google I was able to find this part for sale in a local Wolseley (a 6 minute drive from my home). I bought the part myself (which they told me had been in stock yesterday as well), and called a different plumber who fixed it that evening. I was really disappointed with the service provided by KDE who were willing to leave me without heat for four days rather than spend 5 minutes trying to source the part from a different supplier. I was further disappointed that KDE kept blaming their supplier rather than apologising: your supplier, your problem. I considered giving them one star but they did arrive the first day on time and correctly identify the issue but they just gave me the feeling that I was not being treated with good customer service.

Want to be charged without prior warning when no work is done? Want to be told job not allowed to be done when other practitioners just do it? Want to be totally ignored and then patronised if you complain? If yes to all above then call KDE for your electrical work, if no, then AVOID! There others who are absolutely capable and much more customer friendly.

I actually went to speak to Keith Darlington, a very nice polite and friendly gentleman. I went for a job interview and I'm still awaiting to see if I was successful. However nice bloke and the receptionist was polite and friendly. They offered a coffee on arrival. Nice people id trust them if I was to have any work done.

Engineers John and Jack fitted pipework in my bungalow for a washing machine which they then installed on Thurs 10th March. These two men are excellent at their work. The entire job was carried out in the most professional manner possible; ten out of ten. By the way the price was very agreeable indeed - I strongly recommend KDE

Warning to all do not use KDE for any radiator/gas works. I was sent an engineer who they told me was experienced (an apprentice would have been better) and took 7 hours to fit a standard hall radiator!! Disappeared for parts which takes an hour (chargeable), also showed him exactly where I wanted the radiator and for the pipes to come out above the skirting, two hours in I checked what was taking so long and he had pipes coming up from floor, ignoring what I had asked him to do (as per every other radiator in my house and showed him the living room one so he know how I wanted it). Would have looked an absolute mess had I not spotted thistle. He also measured the height wrong and fitted it too low so I had to cut in to the skirting for the pipes. I called his manager whilst he was at the property to complain about the standard of work and time taken which was ridiculous. I was assured I wouldn’t be charged the 7 hours and they’d speak to the engineer. He also flooded our floor and left the radiator isolated (didn’t bother testing it after 7 hours!). The knob on the radiator wasn’t fitted properly and still falls off but I dare call them back I’ll be charged again no doubt. I was charged for the full 7 hours, disputed it and owner Keith rudely would not acknowledge the poor workmanship. I refused to pay and then settled at 4 hours after being absolutely harassed for payment - I still feel so ripped off for what was done. I’ve had many radiators replaced in my house, never taking more than an hour but I needed it doing and my usual plumber wasn’t available. What a mistake I made using this company - never again!!!

We will NEVER use this company again!!!!!!! I DO NOT recommend this company!!!!!! All we wanted was a simple toilet plunger fixing and a small leak...after their SECOND visit we discovered the idiots had glued the cistern to the wall not screwed it in...and today after their THIRD VISIT for the same job, they flooded the toilet floor... Absolute clowns!!!!!! AVOID THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!! 😡😠😡😠

Used them for a small job previously. Now needed to have a new oven fitted and some security lights replacing. The electrician took the old oven and all the rubbish away with him. He was very polite professional and efficient. Would certainly recommend them based on my experiences.

Leaking plastic pipe on boiler - Despite sending photos and clear instructions, fitter turned up without standard parts (pipe & connectors). Disappeared for an hour to buy parts, time which I was charged for. Used the wrong glue so pipe failed the following day (see photo). After several calls and an email, fitter turned up and completed the job correctly in less than half an hour. Was invoiced before the job was even complete, £123.45. Challenged this and was passed to Will McMaster, Operations Manager. After a week of trying to resolve this with Mr McMaster and suggesting I come an speak to Mr Darlington in person, was told they would reduce my bill to £96.01. Asked him to put a response in writing to my customer complaint. Was told it was the solvent suppliers fault, they had provided the wrong product and KDE we're awaiting their reply. Not heard anything. Spelt my name incorrectly. Astounding!

Always fantastic

Very disappointed to be charged £48 for an engineer to come out and look at my faulty radiator. Had I been told it was chargeable I would not have chosen to go ahead. I’ve had to pay £48 that I can’t afford, for nothing. The engineer was very nice but had made his assessment in the first 3 minutes but spent the next 25 mins ‘helpfully’ checking other things. In my naivety I did not realise this was because I was paying for his time. But a total waste of money. Very upset. That’s what you get for truing to support a local business.

Reported a central heating problem via the online contact form, late on Sunday night. Engineer arrived at 9:30am the following morning. Job was complete within an hour. The level of service we’ve come to expect with KDE and very reasonable prices too. We were previously on a maintenance contract with one of the major utilities, but due to their misleading ‘response times’, cancelled that. Why pay a monthly amount for a poor service from national companies when there’s an excellent provider on your doorstep and ‘on tap’?

Truly awful. Their director, Keith Darlington, is massively rude and arrogant, and talks to women in particular as if they are dirt. Staff are incompetent and made an issue with our boiler even worse (it is still not fixed, and another company is having to come here to sort out their mess - a common occurrence, apparently). Speaking of mess: if you enjoy boiler engineers allowing your radiators to liberally spray black water all over your carpet and walls (whoops! Forgot to close all the valves!), you've come to the right place with KDE Ltd. They frequently left us without heating and hot water due to their mistakes, which has been lovely in the colder weather. Do think twice before using them.

The guys who came from KDE to rewire the landing light for me were great. On time, polite, did the job as required, but also replaced and plastered in the back box for me. They inspired trust and confidence. I highly recommend this company. Paul McGouran, Frodsham.

Terrible service. Started to repair my boiler and was told a further part was no longer available and I needed a new boiler. After having a new boiler installed from elsewhere cheaper I was told it could have been repaired as the part was available and had to pay for the job which had not been completed

Ordered a horizontal radiator. They removed my shelf from the wall and fitted a vertical raditor. It looks terrible and is a lower heat output than the radiator I ordered. Still waiting for a call back to know when they will fix their inexcusable mess.

Fantastic, knowledgeable staff, attentive and professional. Can cope with emergencies and also planned work, right up to an entire re-design and fit out of your bathroom.

We went to KDE to sort out a cold radiator in the kitchen. KDE came round and fixed the bolier and changed the thermostatic valve on the radiator. This did not sort out the problem. KDE then suggested a power flush and inhibitor to the system. They did not guarantee this would solve the problem but we agreed to proceed. It didn't solve the problem. KDE director then attended and suggested cutting the pipe to ascertain whether there was a blockage. KDE then kindly attended to cut the pipe and removed the blockage. This seems to have finally resolved the problem after at least 5 visits and three invoices. I am not particularly happy with this. I feel that the advice to carry out a power flush was incorrect and that it has cost an awful lot of money to sort out a cold radiator. When we queried the bills and reached deadlock, KDE did not comply with the Alternative Dispute Resolution Regulations 2015 and inform us of a certified ADR Provider but ignored our request for this information to date. It is a legal requirement to provide details of a certified ADR Provider to a customer when a dispute cannot be resolved through the internal complaints process.

What a wonderful team thank you so much especially John the plumber. We had a leak in our new kitchen right before the stop tap inside and no stop tap outside in order to stop the water. They were so professional and got the job done straight away. Would thoroughly recommend.
