Got sent a text from my landlord asking me to approve or deny a contractor coming to my flat. I rejected it and added notes to say please arrange an appointment on a Saturday so both myself and my partner can be present, because we don't want strange men accessing our personal belongings and risking leaving the flat unsecure. We both either work from home and require the electricity to work or work from the office and won't be present, so a Saturday means we can get it done with both of us present and it won't affect our work. That was nearly 2 weeks ago and no one from Ace got back in touch. Someone came to my door today and I explained we rejected the appointment request and no one has been in touch to arrange another one. Someone from Ace then rang up, insisted on doing whatever it is they need to do (Exactly what, they still haven't said) and then said if we don't let them in they're going to force entry because of "the law." Do not work with these absolute cowboys. Needless to say if they return without a pre-booked appointment the police will be called. Am also raising a formal complaint with the landlord to ensure they're not used at our property again. You asked to attend the property, I told you when you could, you ignored my message, rocked up unannounced with 0 notice threatening to force entry because you don't have the capacity to talk to someone like a normal human being without making threats. I've told you when we're free so arrange the appointment for an appropriate time.
