Alan attended my property as a subcontractor to install an EV charger. During a discussion about the proposed cable route, a simple clarification question was asked regarding the use of an existing cable. The question was not a refusal of work, it was simply to understand the reasoning. Unfortunately, Alan reacted in an aggressive and unprofessional manner, started shouting and swearing and stated that we should “get someone else to deal with the job,” and left the installation incomplete. A hole was left in the garage wall which is now allowing water ingress, and the charger was thrown into the back of the pickup during the incident, the charger was damaged and had to be replaced The job was abandoned and the situation has required escalation to the contracting company. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend his services.

Absolutely abysmal. They were sub contracted by Smart Home Charge to come and fit an EV charger for me a couple of weeks ago. The guy initially turned up and told me the kit I had been sent was too big for the location even though he'd had extensive images of the site already. The guy stood there for ten minutes talking about how he'd be back next week with a smaller unit and text me a few days later with a new date. I'm writing this on the installation date and surprise surprise he didn't turn up. Not only that, the fella has blocked my number and the landline just rings and rings. Not normally one for negative reviews but this guy is a complete and utter waste of time and highly unprofessional. If you get a booking with him from Smart Home Charge just back heel it and save yourself a massive headache.

Alan has been fitting an EV charger for me on my property which is a bit of an unusual layout. He has been fantastic, his communication has been great, fairly priced and his advice has been helpful and fair. His work has been high quality and he has respected my property and myself through all of his work. He's made a unsuspectedly painful process a lot less painful and I would 100% recommend to anyone.

I've had Alan now complete three separate jobs for me over the last 10 months. Not only does he provide an excellent service, he doesn't rip you off. His charges are very reasonable. The quality of the work done on our outside light and outside socket have been excellent. Not only are they neat and tidy, they look esthetically pleasing. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Alan for general electrical work or car charging points. He's also a nice chap, thanks, Alan! Dependable!
