What I liked about Underwood Electrical is that they state their prices on their site. No messing, no having to call the manager to see if they can get a deal. No uncertainty or pushy sales. The price advertised is the price you get. As this was a big undertaking for us we had many many questions. Jason took the time to answer them all even though I imagine I was being annoying. The dates provided were stuck to, the time frames provided were stuck to even in a heatwave. We had solar and battery done at the end of July and so far so good. We also know we can contact him should any issues occur. A local company in the Newcastle-under-Lyme area that are reasonable. Thank you.

We had an excellent service from Underwood Electrical for our Zappi EV charger installation. Jason sent us several quotes to choose from and we were able to choose the install date, which was very fast. Underwood’s work to design, install, commission and obtain certification was very good throughout. My roof layout and access for cable runs were different to what is normal but Jason, Sam and the team solved this. Before, after and onsite the whole team were very professional, and it is clear customer service is important to them. Communication through the process was very good. I would recommend them without hesitation.

I’ve used Underwood Electrical Ltd on three separate occasions now for Solar/Battery Installation, Replacement consumer unit installation and Ohme car charger installation. One each occasion Jason’s team were on time and extremely efficient in everything they were doing. Always willing to answer any questions and very knowledgeable about equipment they were installing. A big plus for me is that post installation questions sent via email are always answered quickly and clearly. Highly recommended.

I was really impressed with Underwood from the initial quote and meeting with Jason, all the way through the process of getting grid approval and then finally the installation. Sam and Ellie did a smashing job of the installation and I really can’t recommend Underwood or the sig battery they fitted highly enough. The workmanship is outstanding, everything is really neatly done - it was a joy having the guys on site for a couple of days. An investment in solar is a massive thing, from someone who spoke to at least six different companies including octopus and other local firms about solar, I found Underwood to be the best, they listened, advised, didn’t try to sell me something for the sake of it and really took the time to understand and analyse what I wanted before suggesting a solution, Jason was great to deal with and I found the site visit really helpful rather than just a chat over the phone and someone checking my house/roof based on what they see on Google maps. I have had the system running for about two months now and I would thoroughly recommend Underwood and the Sig battery. It speaks volumes that neighbours have seen the quality work these guys have done and have also taken the plunge into the solar world

I was looking for someone to supply and fit an EV charger who could handle the complexity of existing solar panels and battery storage. I didn't want the car to charge from the batteries but to charge at the same time on cheap rate overnight. I found Underwood Electrical who are MCS certified but also fitted chargers. I have to say the service was great; came when they said, did a really good job and the team were pleasant and amicable. They met my brief and I'm a happy customer 😀

Batteries and EV installation From the first point of contact to the end of the installation it was seamless. We had batteries and an EV charger installed. Great team, professional, polite and clean workers. Nothing was too much trouble. Underwood Electrical recently installed a Sigenstor Battery system for me. The process went very well. From the initial quote to the quick turn around G99 DNO application. A 2-3 week install date was suggested. Good communication from Jason and 3 weeks later came the install day. Tidy work and all working as it should. Im very pleased with the Sig system. Jason and his team installed a 14 panel 6kW Sigenergy system for me. The whole process from initial design, revision due to DNO constraints and installation and commissioning was excellent. Had Solar &battery system & Zappy car charger installed by Underwood Electrical. Jason and his team were very knowledgeable as he has the same system at his own home. Everything went smoothly. Our Lecky bill has reduced massively and we are putting excess solar into our EV. Any small query I have about settings etc. is always answered promptly.

I was very impressed. I submitted a lot of photos so that Jason could see what was needed and discussions on phone and email. He ordered the unit and kept gave a regular progress report. Once the unit arrived (which was not long, about a week) an installation date was agreed and fitted on that date. There was a fault on the unit (not their fault) and this was put right in a couple of days. I had expected a wait time of several weeks but in fact it was very quick indeed. The cost was slightly cheaper than a quote from another installer. Would certainly recommend.

Jason came to do a survey, which was very welcome as all other installers seem to prefer remote surveys. We had the opportunity to discuss with him how we would use the charger and he was able to suggest options for us to consider. Once we had made a decision he sourced the charger and it was fitted within a few days of arriving. The guys who fitted it were on time and did a great job. I will be using Underwood again for other electrical services.
