Love Solar Ltd is a Cumbrian solar installer that reviewers often describe as friendly and helpful, with several praising the quality and tidiness of their work. One reviewer had panels fitted over ten years ago that still generate as much as they did at the start, and another said a previous system needed no maintenance. Several reviewers mention clear explanations, and one praises the advice given on which system would suit their circumstances. Communication problems are also reported: one reviewer said emails and phone calls went unanswered, work was still incomplete nearly three months on, and the job cost more than expected because initial surveys weren't careful enough; another said questions after a quote were not answered.
The Love Solar team have been brilliant from the moment we requested a quote through the whole planning stage, completing the order, performing the installation and the post-sales service. As the installation was on a pergola it was not a straightforward project, but the installation team even offered to install an AC cable to provide external power to the garden and put in place a rainwater tank that was delivered during the project; not part of their job but they just wanted to help! Now our home is totally sustainable for power, using the solar power from the garden pergola and a Tesla Powerwall battery in the garage. And we harvest rainwater for the garden too. We could not be happier with the service from Love Solar.
We have used Love Solar three times, which in itself is a recommendation. Twice they installed solar PV panels and, most recently, they fitted a battery and a gateway. We have been absolutely delighted with the quality of the installations along with the friendly efficient approach displayed by their engineers and electricians - and, of course, the office staff. Our first panels were fitted over ten years ago and still generate as much as they did at the beginning. Over time we are sure the new panels and the battery will pay for themselves through savings of electricity costs and we enjoy driving our electric car usually for, effectively, between 0p and 2.5p per mile in 'fuel' costs. If you are looking for solar panels or storage, I do think you should consider Love Solar.
We are beyond happy with the service we have received from Love Solar. From the original contact and getting to know our needs and budget, to installation and connection it has been a good journey. All the personnel we dealt with were fantastic, especially Tom who did the final connection and clearly explained how to use the app. Whenever he was unsure about how we wanted the infrastructure he would check to make sure we knew the pros and cons of each option. Really thorough service throughout and very reasonable. Thank you.
First class service, it has been a pleasure to deal with Love Solar. All their staff have been very helpful. Now producing more electricity than I anticipated. Thank you Love Solar
After having moved house locally, we were looking into a profitable PV system again. Love Solar installed the one on the previous property and we never had an issue with it, no maintenance needed, plain sailing so to speak. So it was a no-brainer to go with the same company again, especially as they are a very pleasant bunch to work with. What has changed are waiting times, I think mainly due to new governmental regulations which cause more administrative efforts, but Love Solar have tried their very best to limit the waiting. I highly recommend this Cumbrian company.
Love Solar have been a pleasure to work with in planning and fitting solar panels, a storage battery and EV charge point to our new home. The teams fitting the panels and completing the electrical installation have been top notch, with great support from the office team in planning and registration. It has been effortless on our part from start to finish and we'd have no hesitation in recommending them to others. Thank you Love Solar
Excellent personal attention from a local installer. Readily accessible to respond to queries.
Thanks you so much for your help! Love Solar helped me out (I’m a fellow solar installer) with some equipment so I could get a project up and running.
Excellent service, thankyou Love Solar. Just waiting for the sunshine now!!
From initial contact through to completion of the installation it has been a very straightforward and painless process. The office took care of all the relevant paperwork and also sorted out the scaffolding on my behalf. Very pleased with the quality of installation and the team installing and commissioning were very pleasant indeed. Just need some sun now....
Nice folk but a very frustrating experience. Cost more than expected because initial surveys weren't careful enough. Nearly 3 months after our system was installed some aspects are still not complete and elements of it are not working properly. No response to emails or phone calls.
The best PV company in Cumbria. We are so glad we went with Love Solar for our PV install. A top class job, installed on schedule. Post install support is first class. It’s worth waiting for Love Solar to become available to do your install. Also I would recommend the Solfit panels, designed in-house. Highly recommended.
Ewen immediately understood our requirements, gave clear advice on what system would work best for our circumstances, and was a pleasure to deal with throughout the process. The installation team did a great job in testing weather, but completed the works without a fuss and were good in dealing with a few minor snagging issues. A great company, who I'd have no hesitation in recommending.
Just had a battery system installed by Love Solar and would like to say that this was fitted in a quick professional manner, thanks to all at Love Solar for a job well done.
I'm trying to get info together for the extension I have planning permission for to see if it's viable to install solar panels. I received a quote but after asking some questions which I was invited to do, they don't bother getting back to you. Too busy with the easy work and not willing to put the thought in to help on less straightforward jobs I would guess.
Before having my domestic solar system fitted I obtained quotes from 3 different companies. After speaking at length with Ewan (the boss) & Chloe it soon became clear that the best all around package was undoubtedly the one offered by fellow Cumbrians Love Solar. The system i had fitted was a "no expense spared setup" and included 16 x LG panels (with bird protection), 5kw hybrid Inverter, 8.2kw storage battery, Emergancy backup circuits & hot water heating capacity. The price for everything was more than competetive! In short, I found this team of proffesionals fantastic people to deal with from start to finish and i am absolutely delighted with how the project came together both on the inside and the outside my home. Neat, tidy & efficient. 5 STARS......Highly recommended.
Love Solar have recently installed battery storage for me. Very pleased with the quality and tidiness of the work. The storage system is working very well and looking forward to more savings by switching to Agility tariffs.
Love Solar were great to deal with, from me making initial enquiries, through to the installation of my solar panels. The whole team are friendly and helpful and I was amazed at how quickly the job got done. If you're thinking of having solar panels fitted anywhere in Cumbria, I'd highly recommend this company.
I had a solar panel system installed by Love Solar in October 2020. Was impressed by the workmanship and service offered by this company. They supplied a comprehensive quote on different systems to suit my requirements and any queries I had were always answered promptly. I'm very pleased with the system and would highly recommend this company if you considering having a system installed.
