Reviews

3.7

One reviewer says Premier Electrical Cornwall Ltd attended to quote for a consumer unit replacement, told them the job could not be done because of the age of the wiring, then quoted for a rewire that was about £5,000 higher than other quotes. The same reviewer says an invoice for £920 arrived six months later for the quote rather than the installation, and described this as sharp practice, advising caution. Another reviewer describes a lovely, polite and professional team who completed works to a high standard and would recommend and use the business again.

Beware!! Worked on our electrics on behalf of British Gas to install a boiler with no issues raised. As they had seen and worked on our older house without issue we asked for a price to replace the consumer unit told not an issue, they arrived on the day were in the property 10 minutes and anounced the job could not be completed due to age of wiring so we asked them to requote for a rewire they counted the fittings etc and left after about an hour. The rewire quote was about 5k above the other quotes recieved from simarly qualified companies so we left it. 6 mths later an invoice for £920 arrives for payment not for the install of the consumer unit but the quote for the install. This feels at the minimum like sharp practice use with caution.
