I called up as a first time customer for a service and to check a leak and my faulty thermostat. Deakins attended within less than a week, did the service, sorted the leak and installed a new hive system. I recently decided to upgrade my home thermostats to Hive, and after some research found that Deakin's advertised this service on their website. From the initial phone call to installation the service was absolutely first class. It was a refreshing change to see a fully itemised quotation, which was emailed to me very soon after the initial phone conversation, giving a complete breakdown of the work to be done, leaving no grey areas. I thought I would probably have to wait a few weeks after accepting the quote, but after another excellent phone call the job was booked in for the following week. The engineer arrived exactly on time, was very pleasant and and super respectful of my property. A big thank you to Muz, who did the installation of the Hive and a boiler service. He explained everything in brilliant detail, his work was excellent quality, and he gave some great advice regarding some future work that I'm contemplating having done. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Deakin's ( especially Muz!!), and I'll will definitely be using their services in the future.

I've used Deakin's for several smaller jobs as well as a more complex unvented cylinder installation, and they've been excellent every time. Their work is professional and thorough, and their pricing is really reasonable. They clearly know what they're doing and approach each job with care.

Had my shower replaced, as the old one was leaking. Really nice guy called Ian fitted my new shower. Showed me how the new shower worked. Didn't take long to fit. The second time I've used this company, will definitely use them again. I will definitely recommend them.

After the second heatwave this year, I decided to dip into my savings and get air con fitted in my home. I rang a few companies and had no luck, but Deakin took me seriously and sent an estimator around to my address within a week. He sized everything up and made a recommendation. He sent me 2 quotes, one more expensive and one much cheaper. I gave the ok and they booked me in for a month later (they were very busy). The engineer who came to fit the unit was called Neil. It’s safe to say he was the star of the operation and a credit to your organisation. He was very friendly and really went the extra mile during the installation, he included me in every decision and explained the process in great technical detail. Not only that, but he was doing a 2 man job on his own in 31 degrees heat. Because of this, he had to come back the next day with an extra pair of hands to finish off the job, but they didn’t charge me any extra. The unit is fitted roadside so there is some trunking going up the side of the house. The trunking contains all the pipework. I was initially skeptical but I’ve asked about 5 people now (who are way more concerned about aesthetics than myself), and they’ve all complimented how good it looks. Neil did an amazing job, it’s just a shame he’s a Leeds United fan, so I had to take appropriate measures and deep clean the house with holy water. If anyone is wondering if air con is worth it. I payed a total £1900 for a DAIKIN sensira unit w/ WiFi , in my research this is an extremely good price, especially with this unusually high demand. I’ve used it every day so far, even on milder days. It easily cools a large room in 30 minutes, to the extent that I can turn it off and still feel the benefits. Even then, I like to leave it running with the fan on just to keep the air circulating. It definitely does NOT cost a fortune to run, I estimate maybe 12-15p per hour in cooling mode, couple of pence otherwise.

I was very pleased on contacting Deakins on 28/7/26 that they were able to fit the job in on the following day. Adam arrived at the time stated. He was friendly and clearly explained what the problem was with the shower wall switch and the work required to fix it. Adam took photos of the damaged part and on completion he went through what work he had carried out and gave reassurance that the switch was now safe. Another great service from Deakins.

We recently had a new combi boiler fitted by Deakins, which involved moving it from the garage into the attic. Neil Dawson and Luke Nicholson did a brilliant job, working through the heatwave and completing everything to an exceptionally high standard. They were also very accommodating when I realised part of the work wouldn’t fit with our future plans, and they happily made changes to work they had already completed. Based on their excellent workmanship and professionalism, I’ll definitely be using Deakins again in the future.

Annual central heating boiler service was completed on Thursday 13 August as arranged. The engineer arrived on time and completed the service efficiently and tidily. He explained the process well and provided good feedback when the job was completed. Would highly recommend Deakins to others!

So today I have had them back for it’s 12month service yet again all went smoothly and engineer today was the same standard as the engineer last year. I cannot praise this company enough and in particular Neil Dawson, the engineer. We needed to convert the garage into a utility area and employed Deakens to tap into existing supplies and outlets in the adjacent WC. It seemed from the outset that this may be turning into a tricky job, but Neil was not fazed and maintained a cheery and professional disposition throughout. It appears he didn’t take any shortcuts but created a workable solution that will be very long lasting. From the initial phone call, scoping the work and completing the task, Deakens have been great and I will certainly use them again for any plumbing and/or electrical work that is required. Thankyou.

Needed a whole new Central Heating system, got 6 quotes overall, and decided on 'Deakins Plumbing &Heating. Not the cheapest, but competitive pricing and the reviews over the years were very good. 5 day job, dreading the upheaval, but Neil and Riley arrived each day before 9, explained everything they were hoping to get done, and just some how did it. ✨️ They left each room hoovered and swept before they left each evening, although this dreaded brick dust will be ever present, me thinks. They completed the job in 5 days, no easy task for any team, ( these guy's are obviously Batman and Robin in disguise) explained how everything worked and I have to say, we are impressed. Each floorboard screwed back down, radiators checked, boiler checked and rechecked, excellent. Thanks Neil Dawson and Riley Glenn, you have made us realise that we don't need any more shoes!😆 I would have no hesitation in recommending Deakins, and if you're lucky enough to get the "Caped Crusaders" in your home, then it's coffee none, coffee two. We had Muzamal attend today for our annual boiler service. Pleasant young man, chatty and explained the noises coming from the boiler weren't anything to worry about he tweaked a few things to try to reduce the noise. He explained as best as he could (I just don't know much about plumbing) the reasons behind it etc. Very respectful, offered to put his own shoe covers on and very polite and cheerful 😊

I had occasion to use Deakins plumbing again. Exceptional from start to finish two toilets not working and appointments so easy to book online. I was booked for engineer to come at 8 am Alix whom I’ve had at my house before ,arrived directly at 8 and went straight to work. Lovely lad and sorted out all my problems. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he explained exactly what he was doing. Made sure when he had finished that everything was working properly and rechecked again. He was so kind and cleaned and hoovered up everything and you’d never know he had been working in the toilets. So professional from start to finish. A wonderful company , From the friendly and efficient receptionists to Alix my engineer I can highly recommend them and will definitely use them again

No info on booking time I missed an appointment due to an emergency hospital visit only to land a £60 fine absolute joke

They came to inspect our boiler and, during the visit, a pipe began leaking. We were never informed about the issue at the time. They later claimed the leak had already existed, but if that were true, it makes their failure to notify us even more concerning. As a result of the leak, our door and carpet were damaged, yet they have refused to take any responsibility or accountability for the damage. I would never recommend their services.

Alex arrived on time and introduced himself by name, he had a look at the job and got straight on with it. Once job was finished and tested he cleaned away the dust and tidied all the rubbish away. Would recommend Deakin,s and this is not the first time we have used them.

The engineers are very good, but the companies policies are a disgrace. BUYER BEWARE! I engaged their breakdown cover. After being with them for a few years, I moved house. They made me pay for a full year of cover in a property I no longer lived in! They wouldn't transfer the cover to my new address, either. What a rip off!

I fully recommend Deakin’s Electrical Services. I rang them when my 89 year old dad’s house lost its mains power. The lady I spoke to was lovely and very understanding, she was able to send an emergency electrician within about 20 minutes. The electrician Ian, was able to do a temporary fix of the consumer unit which had suffered thermal damage, then came back the following day after I had accepted a quote for a new Consumer Unit. Ian was amazing, very professional, kind and respectful to my dad who has Altzheimers and is registered blind. He left everything clean and tidy and gave me a clear explanation of the new consumer unit. Thank you Ian and thank you Deakin’s.

A MASSIVE SHOUT OUT TO MUZZ! Our boiler failed without warning and we were told we would be waiting three weeks for a replacement. With it being a combi boiler, that meant no heating and no hot water at all. In a busy working household, three weeks without the basics is simply not possible. Deakins, were outstanding. Muzz carried out the work and he was exceptional from start to finish. He explained everything clearly, kept us updated throughout, worked cleanly and respectfully, and handled the job with real professionalism. Another engineer joined him for the outdoor work and he was just as helpful, even though I cannot remember his name. Both of them were a credit to their company. I would strongly recommend both companies. They stepped in when we needed urgent help and delivered exactly what they promised.

Prior to having an EV charger installed at my house I was concerned with any potential issues that might prevail during the work. On the day that the work was done I was soon at ease with the electrician, Craig, who had been assigned to the installation. He demonstrated his skills and expertise with professionalism on every aspect of what was not a straightforward task. Considerable creative decisions were made by Craig whenever difficulties arose with any obstacles and the whole process brought about the pleasing end product of the installation of the charger that had needed not only electrical skills but more so, patience, concentration to bring about customer satisfaction.

I’ve used Deakins Plumbing and Heating Services for many years now, and I honestly wouldn’t go nor consider anywhere else. They installed a brand new boiler for me around six years ago and have carried out the annual service ever since - always reliable, punctual, and thorough. More recently, I used them during a house renovation where they relocated a boiler from the attic to ground level, installed new plumbing, radiators, and completed a full utility room and bathroom (including shower and taps). The standard of work throughout was excellent. I’ve also had them back for smaller jobs like fitting new radiators, replaced a mains water stop tap and every time the service has been just as professional. What really stands out is their attention to detail, clear communication, and the professionalism of the whole team - they turn up when they say they will, keep everything tidy, and take real pride in their work. Deakins came to our rescue when our 15 year old boiler needing replacing 2 weeks before Christmas. They managed to get a survey and quote, scheduled and completed the work, slotting us in during a very busy period. Just had my initial visit/inspection/service of my heating system with an engineer called Robert from Deakins. He was pleasant and professional throughout, the level of the service was far superior to that I have experienced with British Gas in the past. Up to now I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them

Our radiators weren’t working properly. We had them looked at previously by British Gas, who could not fully resolve the issues. We contacted Deakins who sent round their engineer Alex. I can’t praise Alex enough, he was friendly and professional, worked really hard and explained to me every step he was taking. The job involved going under our upstairs flooring, locating and replacing blocked sections of pipe work. The radiators now work well.

We're really happy with the installation of our new Worcester boiler by Robert. From start to finish he treated our home with respect, wearing his over shoes putting down dust sheets etc etc. and just got on with the job. When he finally finished and he had cleaned up and cleared away he went through everything with us explaining the controls etc. We would highly recommend Deacons to anyone who needs any work that you can do. Muzz did a great job servicing my gas fire. I decided to replace it due to it being difficult to turn on. Muzz contacted a friend and between them selected a replacement design and from where I could source it. Great service. Joe had an awkwardly designed sink to deal with. Engineer that came was very good and very efficient. The problem was very basic and he was done in 12 minutes. Just be aware even for such a short period of time they still charge the full call out fee. It took until 5pm for him to get there as well as I had been told after 1pm. Yes it’s in the Ts &Cs but some companies would have given a discount, especially as he only came later in the day. They also tried arguing he’d been there for 45 minutes even though I had clear doorbell footage of him coming and leaving. When I proved them wrong they just basically said yes well you still pay - so why argue in the first place 🤦🏼‍♂️

Excellent communication by phone, e-mails and texts. First visit by engineer diagnosed fault with gas fire. Seamless service afterwards in sourcing and fitting the new gas control valve on the second visit. Gas fire was then fully serviced, cleaned and thoroughly checked for operation and safety. Adding this latest review to my previous review as we had to have Deakins out to replace an Aqualisa Quartz Shower Microprocessor unit. Again top service from Louis, prompt, polite and all done without fuss. He even spotted and fixed a toilet joint leak when replacing the shower unit. So once again very happy. Lesson learnt, leave plumbing to the experts! Prompt, courteous and conscientious fitter (sorry, didn't get his name). A credit to the business. Would use again without question. And as an update 18/9/25 used Deakins again as our 2nd Aqualisa system failed (albeit had them both for 20yrs+) and once again (Robert this time and it was Louis previously) fast, perfect, polite service.

Well, what can I say. I tried to find 10 stars for Muz and Deakins but alas they don’t exist but if I can make a tittle it will be x100. If you want punctual, polite, friendly, knowledgable, helpful, trustworthy then use Deakins. Muz is one of the nicest people you will meet in life. A rarity these days but he is one of the nicest people I have ever met. Thank you for being YOU Muz. They are the best plumbers and heating experts I have ever used. There are actually no words to describe the experience and if you are unfortunate enough to need a plumber or heating engineer, then call Deakins and perhaps you can in turn help me to describe them. I was going to say “if Carlsberg had a plumbers”…… But I decided they were too original to use such a corny phrase. Please just try them and you will understand my passion for this company.

Had annual boiler service and Neil the engineer did a first class job. He explained and answered all my questions. He left everything spotlessly clean and tidy, a credit to himself and Deakins. All I have come to expect from the company and its engineers

Louis dealt with my shower - it was running with very poor water pressure and the temperature was erratic. Louis was prompt, polite and professional. He didn’t hesitate to deal with the difficult location of the stopcock and the standard of work was excellent. My shower is now sorted and my girlfriend can finally wash her hair - no more whinging! We had a flickering light in our lounge and Ben from Deakins came out and sorted it all for us. He was very polite, kind, and gave us a good advise on getting our electrics tested. Ian and Mikey had two new double sockets in a brick interior retaining wall, two new wall lights and an outside socket all fitted, tested and cleaned up before lunch time. Clean, friendly and professional. Top service.

The plumber they sent out was very polite and efficient. The booking system they have is good too, they give you a rough time slot, then let you know when they are en route, which is helpful.

We have had several plumbing jobs done by Louis, Neil and Muz from Deakins and each time we have been very pleased with the quality of the work and the service. We are very happy we have found Deakins and will always go to them for help as our first port of call.

I have used Deakins on two occasions now. First was the installation of a new boiler by Neil, and second was installation of gas hob by Muz. Neil installed my boiler over two days whilst I was away. He kept me updated throughout the job and when I returned had completed the job to an exceptional standard. Muz had by old gas hob removed and the new one installed within an hour. Again, the job had been completed to an exceptional standard and communication was excellent. He even took away my old gas hob for disposal to save me a trip to the tip - absolutely brilliant service. Both Neil & Muz obviously take great pride in their work and it shows. Both are also friendly, easygoing and give you full confidence that your job is in good hands. I won't be using anyone else but Deakins for any future electrical or plumbing work.

We had a new electrical supply installed for an electric cooker that required an additional consumer unit & an isolation connection point. The electrician was very competent & efficient from start to finish. The company: Deakin’s Plumbing and Heating Limited. Established 2009. Based in Chorley, Lancashire. Family-owned company (looks-father, mother and 3 sons). Reason to call: Dripping radiator Type 11(Single Panel), 600x800. Decided to find a regular maintenance of my gas/heating system. Timeline: 1. Contacted them on Monday during working time and asked to replace the radiator mentioned above. They offered to come on Thursday around 8:00-8:30am after we pay £84 for the first hour (£35 for every hour after). 2. Accepted the offer, took a day off and paid the first £84 as required. 3. Thursday 8:00-8:30am: Call from the office- We are too busy and we will come afternoon. 4. After 9:00am -an apprentice came, check the radiator, took measures, informed me that I need to change the radiator and I will receive an offer from his office. Around 15 minutes. 5. After 11:00am contacted them again- Someone informed me- we will not come today. 6. Sometime after- I was informed that an engineer will come afternoon. The offer- £217. 7. The engineer came around 4:00pm and finished till 5:30pm (that included change of 2 valves on each side of the radiator and change of a damaged new radiator). I am all right about the engineer. The result: I have a new radiator. But no maintenance company.

Just had a new boiler and had it moved from kitchen to the attic, not an easy job. The 3 guys doing the job were Rob Mark H and Mark T and they were polite punctual and very respectful of our property. They worked extremely hard over the 5 days it took to finish the job, they are a credit to the company. I would highly recommend deakins and would definitely use them again.

Great repair job. Turned up on time, talked through every aspect the job and the possible options (along with the costs). Open and transparent quote. Worked completed on time with minimal disruption and repaired area left clean and tidy. I would definitely recommend for bathroom work.

Had an issue with the invoice but Tom rang me straight away and sorted it all out. Great customer service.

Edit: I’ve had to lower my original rating from 5 stars to 3. After nearly 6 months I get an invoice out of the blue for £215 for the below job. I rang to ask why it had taken this long for the invoice to arrive and tbh I had forgotten all about the job at this point and assumed the upfront cost I paid was all that was needed. I’m happy to pay what is owed but what a shock, it feels like a huge bill has come out of nowhere. Very disappointed; the company need to send their invoices as soon as the job is finished or risk losing customers. This is the second time I have used them but hesitant to again. Original post: Tom and Mikey did an excellent job. We had many broken sockets and they checked and fixed everything, even our broken shower. Highly appreciated their professionalism, communication and friendliness.

Pleasure to deal with Deakins on a full boiler replacement. Professional, polite, great job done with very minimum disruption. Rob carried out the work to the highest standards and did a fantastic job of all the pipe work (a work of art!) and handover was quick and easy. Very clean tidy job. The area was left spotless! Floor swept. All rubbish removed. Farah in the office is great and very quick to respond, friendly and helpful. All the team are friendly and very knowledgeable and communication is great. Would highly recommend. Very happy with job.

Replace 2 Light Fittings Fanastic service by Deakins Electrical, Ben was very polite and professional and did an excellent job, fitting and adjusting the new light fittings where necessary and made sure we were happy with the work he had done before he left. He even offered to help replace the dining table and chairs that I had moved so they were not in his way under the lights.
