Jordan did a great job on the install, tuned up when expected, got on with minimum fuss, answered my questions and took us through the new equipment at the end. Having lived in the UK for quite some time, I can genuinely say that this is one of the best, most professional and efficient companies I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Before finding Energize Electrical, I had approached another company to install an EV charger at our home. Not only was their quotation extremely expensive, but they also made the whole installation sound incredibly complicated. We were told that the ground might need to be dug up and that extensive work could be required. He is clearly very knowledgeable about EV’s and we had multiple calls and correspondence to ensure what we were buying was fit for purpose. I had an EV charger installed by Energize Electrical and I'm really happy with the service. Excellent communication throughout, and they were flexible with scheduling. The install itself took just a couple of hours while I was at work — everything was ready, clean, and tidy by the time I got home. I also used the OZEV grant for the installation, and Neil was really helpful with the process — my application was approved and I received the grant within a week, with no issues whatsoever. I've just had an Ohme ePod Charger fitted in my garage,and the people who did the job, were just what I'd hoped for . They were very quiet, efficient, and arrived at the time we had organised. The house was left ,and did not show any signs that work had been done .

Installation of two light fittings into an old wiring installation, including modification of circuit wiring and earthing. Energize were quick to respond to the initial enquiry. I was recommended Energize electrical for an Ev charger installation ( though they provide a full electrical service). Communication was excellent, by email, text and phone throughout. I would highly recommend Energize Electrical for anyone looking for an electrician. They are very professional in their approach to the whole of the job from first contact through to completion, turned up for each scheduled appointment on time and carried out the installation of a security camera and light above the garage door very efficiently. All the staff are a pleasure to deal with.

The initial sales pitch was excellent, explaining the install and how the App would provide significant control over charging. The price was expensive however the box does look good. The install was well scheduled and completed leaving a neat and tidy job with the Simpson & Partners box blending in to the house exterior. The down side was the Electrician had virtually no knowledge of how to set up the App and left me too my own devices ! I was then pointed in the direction of the supplier Simpson & Partners who helped with the App wi-fi set up, however there is limited guidance of how to interpret the App charging information.

I recently purchased an EV from Tesla in Edinburgh. I requested names of recommended Tesla installers any they pointed me in the direction of the Tesla website which provided me with list of recommended intallers in the Edinburgh area. After reading many reviews I settled on Energize Electrical. The owner of the business Neil Mclean came to my house the next day to asses my home for the installation. It was clear from the outset that this was a company that had a great deal of experience. Neil at Energise Electical bent over backwards to find me a slot in their busy schedule and my Tesla Wall Connector was installed mid afternoon a few days later. The installation team were very polite and efficient and went the extra mile to ensure that I had the Tesla App installed and everything was up and running before they left. I would have no hesitation in recommending this very efficient and professional company.

Replacement of existing car charger - quickly done with no issues

The team from energize electrical has been absolutely fantastic. I wanted to get a charger installed onto my external garage for my car. Tried two different companies for quotes. They both wanted to run a cable from the fuse box (underneath the stairs, centre of the house) through the house with cable trunking. Despite there are electrical cables already running underneath from the house to the garage. I don’t think anyone likes the appearance of the cable trunking running through your living room, into the kitchen and to the outside wall, whilst you are sitting on your sofa enjoy some peace and quiet. Energize electrical understood that exactly. They knew what I wanted. They were able to run the cable from the fuse box, underneath the house to the external garage. They were able to do what other companies could not. Again absolutely amazing.

Very pleased with the job just completed by Energize Electrical. 6 spotlights replaced in my bathroom and a plug socket moved in my kitchen. The guys are always friendly, respectful and efficient. Decided to go for an EV charger on a Sunday afternoon. Made and enquiry and was contacted within an hour. Monday morning, had a site visit to assess the job. The quote was inline with what I was expecting from various bits of online research. The speed of response was impressive and I decided to commit. Very efficient and not a job they can't do - highly recommend!

I reached out to Energize Electrical looking for a quote for interconnected smoke alarms in my new flat. I got a call back within 10 minutes of the email enquiry and had a great chat with Neil who explained it all to me after asking a few questions about the property. The quote was sent quickly and I was able to get booked in at their next available slot. The engineer arrived promptly and was done within 30 minutes, disconnecting and removing my old wired fire alarm and installing 2 fire alarms, a hear alarm and a CO2 alarm. Neil they called afterward to make sure I was happy with the work. I reached out to Energize Electrical because of the countless positive reviews and I can see why they have them. I would use them again should I ever need electrical work.

The team at Energize Electrical have done an amazing job upgrading our stair lighting to LED making it both brighter, cheaper to run and energy efficient. With a new timeclock added and new lighting our stair lights now come on at correct times and all come on together fixing problems we were having with them beforehand. I got energize electrical out to do an Electrical Installation Condition Report - to check the electrics in my old tenement flat. They picked up some key issues my electrics. They also did a walk around with me afterwards - explaining what needed changing and why (which was really helpful) I’d recommend this to anyone who’s purchased an older property. - had them back out to do change some sockets, light fittings and rewire a light. Great company. Reliable, clear communication. They did a great job and cleaned up afterwards (which was a real bonus.) Would recommend.

As a landlord, I needed work done in one of my properties. These guys came in at a much lower cost than I was quoted by the letting agency. In the end, the amount of work needing done was less than the quote allowed for so I was charged accordingly. So basically, my opinion is that these guys have a high level of trust that the price quoted (and charged is fair). Neil keeps you informed at each stage of the workflow and the nice touch is the "Thank you for your business" call on completion of the work. It is a rare thing for a business to make you feel like a valued customer. In future, I'll make sure to contact Neil for a quote if any work is needed in my properties or at home.

Neil responded very promptly to discuss the process (which includes making several checks ready for DNO notification) and Campbell popped out that evening to survey the job. The quote was in line with my expectations, and with a recommendation from a friend, I confirmed the job. The job was scheduled and then pulled in slightly ahead of time, the team arrived early on the day after confirming via phone, and the job went really smoothly with full discussion on placement and routing of cables and minimal outage of the power supply. I had energize energy give my electrical system a eirc test. The electricians arrived on time and carried out the test thoroughly. I have been told a full rewire will be required and their representative Neal has kindly arranged for a sister company Home Rewire, to visit my property and give me an estimate for the new fusebox/ rewire installation.

I asked Energize to install an EV charger after I was messed around by Octopus Energy. Neil and his team were brilliant from the initial phone call until they packed their tools away after conducting a very professional job. I found the cost to be very reasonable, especially as they went out of their way to do a very neat installation. I'd recommend Energize to anybody and I won't be using anybody else in future.

Very efficient and easy to deal with. Arranged an install within couple of weeks which was replacement of old charger. All checks appeared ok although car was not available at the time. Responded immediately when the new unit was first used but kept tripping and failing to charge. Came straight back and rechecked everything. Issue was found to be with the cars onboard charger. Cannot fault their service or commitment to making sure installation was sound even when found to be an issue with the car

After decorating the new house I noticed a few bodge jobs so called out Engergise to sort it. They conducted a EICR and then completed the remedial works at a later date. Work was completed to a high standard, but accidently when installing the consumer unit drilled too far and damaged the carpet. Energise were very applogitic and paid for the install of a new carpet. You can tell the quality and integrity of a tradesman in what they do when things go wrong. Would highly recommend!

Despite an initial deadline approaching Christmas, the work was carefully planned, clearly quoted and booked in. When other problems arose the team was responsive and flexible. Campbell took time and care to route a new cable with the minimum of disruption and the work was completed efficiently and tidily. If we need further electrical work we would certainly use Energize Electrical again.

This is the second time I’ve used Energize Electrical in the last 12 months, the first bring a positive experience last summer when they ran power from my house into the garage for lighting, outlets, and potential future EV charging. This time they installed some PIR floodlights on the house, put up two heavy feature light fittings, and replaced an outdoor socket. The work was completed in one visit by Campbell and a colleague, and was done to an excellent standard. They readily accommodated a last minute decision by my wife to swap the light fixtures between rooms due to one ceilings being unsuitable for one of the fittings, and their attention to detail was high - for example they used a laser spirit level to ensure the light fittings (one of which had 3 separate hanging shades) were all perfectly aligned. They also vacuumed and wiped down the areas they had worked in afterwards, after taking me through each of the pieces of work they had done and checking I was ok with the results. Neil followed up the next day to check everything was done to my satisfaction, which was also appreciated and concluded what was very good communication throughout the process. I won’t hesitate to use Energize Electrical in future.

Weird company. Had Campbell come round to quote for an EIRC and work needed for it to which i was totally fine about. Then was gobsmacked to be told i had a disagreement and they were declining the job. Absolute rot, no such thing and a total lie. Neil endlessly blabbed on about all these amazing (probably fake) reviews and slagged others off as cowboys too. Steer clear of them.

Each phone call emphasised how busy they were and highlighted their excellent reviews, which became somewhat repetitive. After sending quotes for part of the work and promising an estimate for the rest, they ultimately declined the job without providing any explanation or feedback. I cannot comment on the quality of their work but I found this lack of communication unhelpful. The independent plumber was arranged by Energize Electric, though it’s unclear why there seems to be an attempt to distance from their involvement. The electrician, who initially advised that quotes would be provided, gave no indication of any uncertainty about completing the work. Unfortunately, there has been a lack of communication and feedback since then.

Energize Electrical recently installed some outdoor string lights along some fences in my garden. The service was excellent from start to finish. On contacting them by email, I received an acknowledgement email followed the same day by a telephone call from Neil to discuss my requirements. An appointment was made just a few days later for one of the team, Ross, to visit, access the job and provide an estimate. The lights were duly installed, again within a short time, and with full input from me during the installation about placement etc. Unfortunately some time later there was a slight issue with the bulbs within the set, a manufacturing issue, but that was sorted out promptly, professionally and efficiently. On every visit, I was given a day and time when the engineer would arrive. Ross who installed the lights was very professional and impressive. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Energize Electrical and will certainly use them again for any further electrical work.

Very satisfied with my Ohme ePod EV charger installation by Energize. Neil was extremely prompt and organised with the admin and logistics from start to finish, and gave really helpful advice on choice of charger and eligibility for an OZEV grant. The survey was also done promptly and installation happened within my timescale while others were quoting several months of lead time. The cable routing was done discretely, despite it being an older building, and they also installed a three-pin outdoor socket at the same time, which will come in very handy. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend Energize and would use them again going forward for any domestic electrical jobs.

I required an EICR. Within a few minutes of submitting my online request Neil from Energize Electrical called me. He explained everything and what was required. Very shortly after that I received an online quote, which I was happy with. A date and time was arranged for my inspection. Energize Electrical were very supportive and accommodating when my EV charger developed a fault and required to be returned to the manufacturer as part of a warranty claim. Neil was very helpful, supportive and informative in helping me work out what had gone wrong with the charger and who I needed to contact to investigate the issue. This concluded with the charger manufacturer agreeing to process a warranty claim and provide me with a new charger. Energize Electrical were very accommodating in booking me in to remove my old charger so I could send it back and equally accommodating when the new charger arrived. Campbell and Jordan were conscientious and made the cable safe after removing the old charger and quickly reinstalled the new charger helping me set it up and connect it with the app. I find the processes Energize Electrical have in place for their customer care absolutely first rate, their booking in system is excellent and the appointment goes straight into my calendar. I also find their appointment reminder messages really helpful and the follow up communication to check work is done to my satisfaction is another measure that proves they look after their customers well. Needed a broken dimmer switch dealt with urgently. Energize Electrical organised an electrician to visit within two hours and complete the job.

Required some electrical sockets replaced like for like and an extractor fan replaced. Very quick response to initial enquiry and communication with Neil very good throughout. Job was assessed one day later with quote provided later in the day. Work started the following day. The fan wasn't straightforward as there were issues with how the original fan had been installed and work was required to reposition a duct with resultant gaps requiring filling. This delayed the project by a few days but Cameron returned a few days later to complete the task. Very happy with the work done which was carried out very quickly and tidily. Would definitely use this company again.

Cannot be more satisfied with the assistance Neil, Campbell and Ross have provided. From contacting them, to getting a survey of my electrical system and arranging a time for re-wiring the property all took under two weeks. We had a water damaged ceiling in a utility room which we thought was caused by the MEV extraction unit. Campbell arranged for the joiner Bryan and his team to cut out a portion of the ceiling to assess where water damage was coming from. Bryan did a brilliant job,very clean and tidy opening the ceiling. It turned out the damage was coming from a different source which had now dried. Campbell asked if we still wanted to replace the noisy MEV unit as it was not causing the issue. We advised we wanted it replaced and Campbell sourced and fitted a new unit. It was a very tricky job as the space between the joists was very limited but the new unit was fitted and works perfectly(so quiet we do not know it is on.) Bryan and Bob then returned and fitted a new removable opening with which we are delighted. Overall great communication between the client, the electrician and the joiner and you are left with a very happy customer.

Energize Electrical cored a hole in the kitchen wall to vent out my existing cooker hood, fitted the required ducting and exterior grill. My experience with them was 5 stars from start to finish. I made an enquiry on their website one evening and the next day (yes the very next day) I received a call from Neil first thing in the morning saying they had received my enquiry and would like to come and have a look at the job! Neil was enthusiastic about getting the job done, which was a pleasant surprise as some tradespersons respond to enquiries in the most apathetic way that you sometimes feel like you’re bothering them. First impressions definitely count. We agreed a date and time and on the day Ross attended to have a look at the job. Ross was polite and courteous, putting covers on his shoes as he entered my home. I initially thought I’d have to replace the entire existing cooker hood but was pleased to hear from Ross that the current hood would be sufficient. I had some concerns about where the exterior grill would go but Ross and Neil were able to allay those concerns. Throughout the entire process I was able to contact Neil easily via telephone and he responded to emails promptly. We arranged a day for the job and I got a friendly text reminder the day before the job. On the day, Ross and Campbell attended and they were very professional. They were focused on getting the job done and efficient with their time. They worked constantly and there were no chats about what they got up to the weekend before, no shouting and no offensive language thrown about. They could see I was working from home and gave me a heads up when the drill was about to get used, and kept me updated on their progress. They asked before using things, and checked it was okay to leave bits of their equipment in certain places whilst they worked. The job was completed in about 2 hours and they tidied up after. Venting out the hood has been like night and day and I am so pleased with the work. I highly recommend Energize Electrical. Other companies told me they could only fit the ducting and I would have to get another tradesperson to core the hole or vice versa. Energize Electrical sorted it all themselves. Other companies gave me remote quotes but Energize Electrical attended my property and assessed the job before providing any quote. 5 star company for sure!

The company installed an EV charger at my property a year ago but I was having some issues with the electricity supply in my house when the car was charging. After sending an email to Neil (the boss!), one of his chaps was here at 9am the next morning to take a look at the issue. This was resolved very quickly and I should point out that the issue here was user error rather than anything problematic with the initial instal. Highly recommend this business and their aftersales is second to none.

We got in touch with Neil regarding an EV charger that we wanted fitted in our garage. Campbell came out to survey the property and as a result, we had issues regarding which charger would be most suitable due to potential wi-fi issues. Neil went above and beyond, contacting several manufacturers to find a solution. Mum recently had a lot of building work done prior to moving into her house. Once in her new home, she realised she wanted some extra sockets and lighting installed. I was worried this was going to involve ripping floors up, chasing walls etc. I saw the positive reviews for Energize electrical and asked them to quote. The chap came out and spoke with Mum and was very clear about what could be done, and also highlighted that they would fill any holes and that this may require a bit of painting afterwards - all fair enough. The quote seemed fair and reasonable. The guys came out and i sent Mum a note to ask how it was going. She said the guys were brilliant, friendly, tidy and efficient. Everything was completed to her complete satisfaction - there was virtually no disruption to decoration / finishes considering what had been installed. Mum advised that she was now able to use her electric recliner chair and have her table lamp on at the same time - so that means i get a quiet life :-) Would not hesitate to recommend and will definitely use again. It feels like a relief to have a reliable electrician whom we can use for other jobs in the future

Energize Electrical have recently completed the installation of an EV charger for me. From the off, Neil was quick to respond to give me a call and was happy to suggest potential options for me based on the setup I have in my new-build property. A site survey was organised and installation date for the Simpson & Partners charger quickly followed. The installation was completed by Ross, Campbell and Jordan who were all very friendly and explained clearly what was being done. They even pointed out and fixed a few issues with the electrical installation left behind by the builder! All the work was done professionally and without fuss or mess. It was a pleasure to have the team in the house and I will definitely be using them again for any future electrical work in the house.

Had a quick read through the other reviews before posting, no wonder Energize Electrical have a 5 star rating. Looking for a company to install an EV charger, this was the nearest and I'm glad they were. From the initial contact to the final installation, they had been throughly helpful, knowledgeable and professional. Not to mention patient! On the initial survey it was identified our electrical supply was looped with our neighbour's, Neil sorted that out which took a fair bit of time (months) thanks to Scottish Power and their subcontractors, but Neil checked in to make sure things were progressing and went well. When that was all done, we were booked in quickly. On installation day, all work was carried out quickly and professionally by Campbell and colleague, with Neil checking in a couple of hours later. Really happy with the work and will be calling on Neil and team again in the future for any electrical work and I recommend you do too.

Great service from Neil and the team at Energize. They've now carried out two jobs for me, an inspection following some issues with faulty sockets and replacing my old fuse board. Jordan and Ross who carried out the job turned up when they said they would and were quick and happy to respond when I requested a small change. We used Energize Electrical to install our EV charging point. They carried out a survey, came back and installed it. Really happy with the quality of work and communication throughout the process. While they were at the house, we asked them to quote for moving sockets and switches around. They came back a few weeks later to do the second job which was also done to a high standard. Installation of new consumer fuse box and EV charger on side of garage. Excellent communication throughout, knowledgeable about the different EV chargers and discussed what would be most appropriate to our specific requirements. Site survey carried out and work agreed. Turned up on time and work completed in half a day to excellent standard. Thankfully we didn't have to deal with cancellations due to Scottish weather but I'm sure this would have been communicated in plenty of time as well. Overall very happy with service and would gladly use again for electrical work.

Extremely pleased with Energize Electrical. They were really professional, easy to communicate with and down to business. The job involved a full house re-wiring, including loft and garage, relocating sockets and switches, fitting lights and installing fire alarms. Despite the amount of work done in the house the mess and dust was kept to a minimum (they were even kind enough to move really big Ikea boxes out of the way which was not really their responsibility) and the job was almost completed within 4 days. They were really accommodating as they came back to finish up the garage, move a pendant light and some other minor fixes that were required to be on time for our next renovation phase. The price was also quite reasonable I would highly recommend them and will definitely used them again if the future

From my initial enquiry, Neil responded very promptly, was quick to get the process started and get someone round to survey the property (which only took max 10 minutes). Neil did a great job of keeping me in the loop, by phoning with updates. Installation day went so smoothly and was very undisruptive to my day. We had an EV charging point installed at our house. From the outset Neil and the team were absolutely first class. They were very prompt in responding to my initial enquiry, and provided valued guidance on the various options to consider as well as what was involved in the installation process itself. My car delivery was unexpectedly brought forward with only 2 weeks notice of delivery, but Energize Electrical pulled out all the stops and managed to fully install the EV charging point within that timescale. The actual installation process itself was flawless, they turned up on time, the installation was exactly as they had explained, and nothing was a problem to them (including crawling through awkward and tight basement spaces). They are without doubt the best electricians I have used, their customer service and quality of work is outstanding and they are now my first port of call for any and all electrical work. Energize Electrical recently installed an EV charger point for me and were thoroughly professional from start to finish. At the outset, it was clear that Neil was well versed in the installation process and guided me through all of the steps required, including suggesting a number of different chargers. I then had an initial site inspection by Campbell, who then installed the charger two weeks later. The whole job took about 3 or 4 hours and was completed to a highly professional standard. Great advice and professional installation of EV charger

Excellent service—absolutely sets the standard for trade services. Showed up on time, wore shoe coverings, and were extremely professional and polite. They replaced 5 ceiling light fixtures, installing several different new ones. After each installation they cleaned up everything and hoovered dust and removed the boxes from the new lights as well as old fittings. They also undertook an EICR for and we’re very thorough. They followed up with a call to ask how the service was and if I needed anything else or wanted to share feedback. They identified a few follow-up items from their work and sent a summary with options the same day. Prices were fair for market the services, but were excellent considering the quality of the services. Will absolutely use Energize again and cannot rate them highly enough. Proper professionals!
