This isn’t a review – it’s a story. I found myself in the worst situation imaginable during my motorcycle trip. Long story short, I was sitting on the pavement trying to fix my bike, completely broken and ready to give up. Out of nowhere, Paul pulled up and asked if I needed help. He told me he had a workshop just 15 meters away. At that point, I was seriously considering scrapping the bike and walking all the way back to France. Less than an hour later, I was back on the road, still in shock. It honestly felt like I had just met my guardian angel. God bless Paul.

I have had a problem with some aspect of our plumbing and I contacted PDP because we had work undertaken by them previously when they installed solar panels and found their work to be excellent. The plumber who arrived was friendly and courteous and appeared to have resolved the problem but later that day the issue reappeared. After further contact with PDP the plumber returned and after further work the problem was sorted out permanently. I have found PDP an easy and efficient company to deal with and I would not hesitate to recommend their services.

Top class service. From initial booking and quote to the job being carried out PDP were fantastic. Replacement of two radiators system drained refilled and fernox added. Full system check on completion and all radiators balanced. Pipe work was like a work of art considering working from very tricky existing micro bore copper pipes. All work carried out to an excellent standard and everything left spotlessly clean and tidy. I would recommend PDP very highly for their skill, professionalism and competitive pricing.

We had a problem with our boiler and PDP diagnosed and repaired the problem. They provide a first rate efficient service and I highly recommend them.

Our Samsung heat pump was under-performing and one room was a bit cool. We asked PDP to upgrade a radiator and to install a ‘Homely’ heat pump controller. The latter took longer than expected - largely because the supplying company’s installation instructions were wrong - but they have honoured their quote. The room temperatures are now much more stable, and the pump’s energy usage and hence running cost has reduced by about 20%. A good job done by PDP. They can be proud that they have improved the most energy efficient house in Hassocks (EPC A99).

PDP Installed an EV charger for me, and I'm super-happy with the result! In my case, there was a need for a tricky cable routing through bathroom and under the staircase. Everything was done ultra clean and barely noticeable.

Disappointed by the poor service from a local company. Have strict monetary penalties if appointments are missed but didn't keep to appointment themselves without prior notice. Lost my own work time waiting in and unsatisfactory response received when contacting them. Job obviously not considered big enough for them. Will stick to smaller independent plumbers.

Our boiler packed up on Christmas Eve and our usual engineer was closed for Christmas. PDP were very responsive and got the boiler up and running for us. Very personable engineer and we will be changing to PDP in the future for all our maintenance needs.

We recently suffered a failure of our Mitsubishi Ecodan heat pump, and the firm who installed it quoted an astronomical figure for replacement parts, as well as charging me for an unneccessary visit. In desperation I called PDP Services and Paul fixed the problem with a mixture of some recycled parts, a great deal of skill and experience, and extreme attention to detail. All at a cost to us which was more than reasonable. I would absolutely recommend PDPServices to those looking for expertise and integrity.

Definitely worthy of the 5 star rating, when it comes to our heating we have used them a couple of times and each time they have arrived very promptly with very knowledgeable engineers who have quickly identified and fixed the problem there and then (if it’s a small part) or replace the whole boiler. The boiler engineer arrived at the agreed time and was very friendly. During the service he identified a faulty component and showed me. To save the expense of a return visit, he went off to obtain the part, fitted it, and completed the service. All in all, very pleased with the experience.

Wonderful experience from start to finish. Excellent detailed initial assessment/consultation with Mark with in-depth information given, allowing an easy decision to go ahead with our solar panel installation. Matt was great at responding to questions/co-ordinating. The job lasted 2 days. Scaffolders put up and removed scaffolding promptly. Solar panel installers Lee, Jamie and Connor were super. Mark the electrician was great too. All were professional, polite, efficient, tidy, approachable, reassuring. I had one question after the installation and the office responded promptly. All relevant paperwork was quickly sent to me eg/ guarantees etc. I now can monitor my system using the app Mark set me up with, which is fascinating. I feel so confident and positive about this obviously expensive purchase, but what an investment for the future and I feel proud I am contributing to a more eco-friendly world.

We had the solar team from PDP come and put bird proofing around the solar panels on the bungalow we've recently moved into. Connor amd Jamie were prompt, polite and very efficient, doing a great job in this heat. Never used PDP before. Was impressed with clear estimate based on pre supplied charge rates to fix a heat pump. Paul the engineer was on time, highly professional and multi skilled with plumbing, electrician and heat pump experience with qualifications. No need to have other tradesmen on site, he could do everything required. The fix was complex and involved finding a solution to resolve a problem. He was 'can do' and at no point was the fix in doubt. I would highly recommend PDP for anyone also with a broken swimming pool heat pump. Final bill was sensible and far better than replacing the Dantherm model.

Connor, Lee and Jamie were a fantastic team who visited us last week to check and clean our solar panels and inverter, bird proof the panels and clean the moss on the roof and detritus from under the panels. They worked quietly all day and we are very pleased with the results. The panels are producing more electricity and all our broken tiles have been replaced. We are very happy. Thank you.

George was very professional and conscientious. Replaced the flush valve in one of our toilets with minimal fuss - the cistern now refills in seconds not upwards of 30 minutes! Also routed hot water to a sink that didn't have it and unblocked a sink in another bathroom. Would definitely use PDP again!

I had a hot water cylinder replaced after a leak was found when I was looking to get a power shower installed. The PDP team provided advice when other plumbers said the shower job could not be done due to restrictions on the lease, and PDP solved both issues with a mains-fed cylinder that would simplify the plumbing and get better shower pressure. Better yet, the combined cost of both jobs came to less than another plumber's quote to replace the cylinder alone. The team were friendly and maintained great communication throughout the process, with tidy workmanship. Would definitely go to them first for any other issues that pop up with my property.

PDP did not provide the cheapest quote for solar installation but I am so pleased I chose them to do the job. The system was put in exactly as described. It looks great, works great and all of the PDP team were professional throughout the process, respecting my property and explaining the equipment. They also respected my wishes with regards to the positioning of the TESLA PowerWall and associated equipment. I can’t fault anything at all. As I said, not the cheapest out there but if you are adding things to your property (especially on the roof) I think it’s worth paying a little extra to get it right first time. I had the install in March and I’ve already saved thousands of pounds. So the installation will pay for itself in several years anyway.

Service was good, no complaints. But 24 hours to pay (fair enough), paid same day, then chased 4 times (thus far) for the "overdue" invoice. Phoned, then got another chaser email.

The service I received was excellent can not fault it, I would certainly recommend PDP.

We received excellent service from PDP. The electrician arrived on time and was very efficient. Work came in under estimate as some of the outside lights we thought needed total replacement were simply on a timer we were unaware of and they let us know these did not need replacing after all. The installation of the kinetic switch in one room was mess free and allows us to have a second light switch in that room without additional wires, its just like magic!

Excellent service from initial survey to installation. Mark took his time to explain what was involved and what the PV system would provide. Following his quote the works were planned and installed the following week. It took a day to erect the scaffolding and install the panels followed by the electrician completing the wiring the following day. The staff were very polite and replaced 2 damaged tiles and cleaned the guttering during the install the works were very neat and tidy. I am very please with the system and the cost they were considerably cheaper than my energy supplier. Would recommend PDP if you are considering a solar system.

Had a small leak from a toilet which we reported this morning and Max and Fraser from PDP were on our doorstep within the hour. Lovely friendly guys who did a great job - even waiting after the fix to ensure the leak had stopped. Cleaned up afterwards too. PDP supplied and fitted a 2nd Tesla Powerwall. Less than 2 weeks between enquiry and fitting. Neat and tidy install, Polite and friendly installers. What is there not to like?! I would strongly recommended PDP Services.

We phoned PDP for a plumber yesterday expecting to wait 3-4 weeks for an appointment as it was not an emergency. Their plumber, Chris Sharp, came today, 5 minutes earlier than the allotted time. He was polite and courteous and tackled the two jobs in a professional and timely manner. We would thoroughly recommend both PDP and, specifically, Chris, for their 5 star service!

PDP made the process of getting a PV system installed very easy. The whole way through they have been there with good advice and brilliant service. When there was an issue with the scaffolders, they stepped in to sort it. The installation team (Connor, Lee, Jamie, & Mark) were all really friendly, professional, and went out of their way to leave everything tidy. I'm really pleased with the system and I shall be recommending them to others.

PDP put my PV panels up 10 years ago and the return was double the investment. Used them a few times. The most recent was incredibly fast and the PDP guys were very polite and very helpful... as were the scaffolders that used.. Meticulous and putting up and taking down just 4 days later. THANKS :)

PDP Services Ltd were my last resort! I called them out and they sent someone immediately, who diagnosed the problem. I had to wait a long time for my slot and it wasn't cheap,..........but I tell you it was worth the wait as now my heating and water are fantastic. Thank you and I will use you again for my boiler service.

PDP have provided an excellent service to us from quotation to installation of our airconditioning. They were not pushy which we liked as it showed confidence in their product. We chose them because they were the only local provider of both the aircon and solar panels (a later installment).

Got PDP in to do a quote for solar plus battery storage to try and reduce our electric. Mark came around looked over the current setup and answered all the questions I had in simple terms so I could understand the process, the setup and what they would suggested from the vendor of the panels and the inverter and battery. I asked about one of the battery manufacturer but he said that they had been having problems with that particular manufacturer so after doing an investigation could confirm that it was the case, increasing my faith in the company. The quote came over not only was it full detailed but was well under what I was expecting. The install started a couple of weeks late, engineers were great. The panels (12) were up in a day. The following day the battery was connected and working by mid afternoon. They have been in a week and now reduced our electric bill from average £2 for the last month a day to 0.20p a day. We have just signed up to get paid for the exported electric which with the current weather should be able to get 20kWh per day. I want to thank the whole team for making the process very easy.

Needed these ceiling fans fitted before the next heatwave. Call PDP and an electrician was booked for the next week. Richard arrived at the designated time and started work immediately. He was exceptionally tidy and completed the work without any issues. I was most impressed with his attitude and service throughout.

Our central heating (heat pump) stopped working 2 weeks ago. Two people had a look at it, one a plumber, the other an electrician. Neither could sort it out. Paul came and cured everything, for a moderate charge. We were over the moon.

I recently had the good fortune to engage PDP Services Ltd to install solar panels and a battery system. At the quotation stage I was given a detailed description of the proposed system and the forecast outcomes. I raised a number of queries which were all dealt with satisfactorily. The installation team were a pleasure to have on site. They were meticulous and paid close attention to the visual impact of the installation. The system works as designed and maximises the use of solar power and the overnight lower energy tariff.

We needed our two smoke alarms replaced, they were mains with battery backup, we were given a date and time. Rich & Victor arrived exactly on time, did the work and cleaned up afterwards, very pleased with the service DPD gave us, and recommend them.

We had our roof solar water heater finally serviced after trying in vain to get someone to look at it. No one wanted to unless you bought it from them. PDP were very happy to help and appeared to do a very thorough job of making sure everything was working and as it should be. Will use them again.

We love PDP! We've used them lots over the years for big jobs and small jobs. For example, they installed our solar panels (big job!) and moved a light switch for us in the garage (small job!) Always efficient, always polite and helpful.

Really professional and knowledgeable service. On 2 occasions they have gone above and beyond to help with plumbing and heating problems. Following the instillation of an air source heat pump and solar panels (by a different company) we had a few issues which Paul has resolved and got everything running properly. Excellent company! I had a solar array with battery storage fitted recently and was thoroughly impressed with the quality of the workmanship. Jamie, Connor and Lee were the team that fitted the panels on the roof. They were very professional at what they did and even advised a few areas of my roof that needed some repairs done (without plugging a company name). They finished the job off by cleaning the gutters in the areas they were working which was a huge bonus. The electrician Mark, had a few issues with fitting our inverter/battery system however went out of his way to ensure the system was commission ASAP. As for the aftercare service this company doesn't just sell you a product then ignore your phone calls. I have had multiple conversations over the phone with the team lead Mark post installation and he has been super helpful in giving me a good understanding of how to utilise my system to suite my personal household usage. All in all 5 star company. I have plans to use no one else to fit my heat pump in the near future.

Not really. Bad communication. Standard below average work. Slightly aggressive / passive aggressive emails. Shame really because we were going to use them for solar, batteries, car charge ports, the lot. Glad we didn’t. Have someone else now who is very on point so we’re happy with our new choice.

What a fantastic service!! From first home visit, installation, and aftersales care, PDP have been faultless. All staff have been a pleasure to deal with. Added to that, we have been using only 2p a day electricity from the grid since going live!

A Manager from PDP came out to see us about an electrical fault we were having in our living-room & dining-room (after they did a full inspection & approved our electrics 2 months before) the manager told us we needed to rip out carpet & wood floors to find the fault (after just buying our house this was a cost we didn’t need). We had a second opinion & the fault was fixed in 1 hour without ripping up our floors. Shame on the Manager for standing in our home & giving us a dishonest opinion. Beware….

I will not try to contact them again as it's a waste of time.

We have used PDP Services on several occasions for various things and have always been satisfied in their professionalism and ability to attend quickly. This time we needed a repair to the bath tap which was done on the first visit. The technician attending was very thorough and went into the loft to check the hot water supply etc.to ensure the job was done correctly and efficiently. He showed us the completed work and explained what the issue had been, making sure we were happy before he left. Thank you as always for solving the problem.

We needed a new shower valve and pump installed, we found PDP to be very efficient, they arrived when stated to survey the job, provided a quote promptly, responded to queries and amended the quote quickly. Once the date was set they arrived on time and completed the job efficiently. We will use them again.

Cold winter temperatures, Covid lockdown and a drastic shortage of materials - not a good time to have our air source heat pump pronounced ‘life extinct’. Fortunately, after much research we settled on Paul Padgham and PDP Services. Why them from a raft of competitors? Well in the first instance they returned your calls and had such good communication skills; even when it was ‘the parts are still stuck in the Suez Canal’. Importantly, they accepted credit cards not immediate full payment! On site they were extremely knowledgeable, provided realistic options and time scales and were incredibly professional, always cognisant they were in your home. Retro fitting always creates challenges but we were so very impressed with the team’s desire to overcome any challenge and the quality of their workmanship was evident. Paul, the heat pump/gas engineer and Carl, ground work specialist epitomised this philosophy and it was great to see Katie, a future engineer applying herself so well. They all took such pride in their work. So very impressed a five star performance and very highly recommended.

House is 200+ years old, to fix loss of power roof voids were accessed I didn't know existed. Central Heating leak was discovered & fixed deep under the floors of the house. Harry & Duncan are part of an amazing team lead by Sam - if they can solve these issues they can solve yours.

I previously had PDP service our solar thermal several years ago, successfully, but on this occasion it took them three attempts to complete the service. It was carried out on the hottest day of the year, the system wasn’t purged of all air, and they came back ( at my cost ) and again this wasn’t successfully completed, and so PDP came out again.

PDP installed solar panels and an iBoost water heater (uses excess solar to heat water) for us. Mark responded quickly and efficiently to our queries, both by phone and email. The work was done as detailed in the quotes, starting on the day specified and with no additional charges. The solar panel fitters Lee and Jamie fitted panels in the heat of the cloudless June day, they were friendly, and professional leaving a neat tidy installation. Henry the electrician answered my various questions and explained the system. His work was very good and he left a neat and professional looking installation of the inverter, isolators, export meter etc. I have no hesitation in recommending PDP to friends / neighbours.

Required an out of hours response for self inflicted 'emergency' repairs on a water pipe.Promptly called me back and discussed the issue and arranged for an plumber to attend at very short notice - fantastic customer service and first class workmanship on the repair / replacement parts.

Needed a new 3 port valve fitting on a Friday. PDP were the only plumbing company we contacted who were able to fit us in that day and even managed to do it in core hours. The engineer was just great, clearly very experienced and super efficient. We would have Duncan back in an instant.

After the pump that supplies my Mother's home with water failed (no mains) she tried in vain for 10 days to find someone to respond to her calls to figure out the problem and to fix, renew or install a new pump and make sure the system worked again. Her friend put her in touch with PDP. It was amazing to find people who were sympathetic to her plight with knowledge and practical knowhow. They totally understood the challenge of being without any water and immediately responded. The MD Paul and his assistant spent hours over 4 days going the extra mile and helping with advice, even at the weekend and late evenings. The company didn't give up until the problem was solved and it was v complicated and challenging. Their costs were extremely fair and the best price for new pump found. She can't speak highly enough of their calming communication and determination to get her life back to normality. We both extend so many grateful thanks.

What a super company! I had a serious issue in my care home and the gas board decided to turn off my gas supply. Fortunately PDP were there to provide an engineer despite being on the other side of Sussex and it being late at night at a weekend. They were the only emergency plumber willing to help and worked really hard to help me. The member of staff I spoke to was lovely and put my mind at rest quickly. There are talkers in this world and there are doers. This company is most definitely the latter. Thank you!!!

PDP sourced and installed an Air Source Heat Pump for our business unit. They patiently answered our questions and worked with us to find the correct solution. Plumber left without fully completing the works in line with quote, but expected to pay invoice in full. The way the complaint was handled was not very professional and told by manager not to use them again. (So I won't) not the best customer service I've had before
