Ovo energy website is so complicated to use. At first it seemd easy, but they have changed everything recently and it is so difficult no navigate. Additionaly, the way the explain energy and gas bills doesn't make any sense, it looks like they do it on purpose so if they scammed you, you will not be able see it. Every time I recived £150 support from government during autum, which goes straigth away to my energy account, the bills for that and following month are extremly high for no reason. I have compred my energy usage for that months from the time I wasn't eligible for the government scheme and guess what, the old bills are normal, it went high only when I received the government support. I emailed ovo about it and they have ignored it. Additionally it is impossible to pay your bill from your account as the system doesn't allow to type any pens. Ovo do something with the way you explain bills as it doesn't make any sense.

Customer service is absolutely terrible. I was switching from Octopus to OVO but these bunch of clowns messed everything up. Even cancelling the switch took 3 phone calls of waiting on hold for an hour each time and its still not sorted. AVOID- and stick with a reputable energy company. It is clear from their South African call centre, who started quoting me in Rand at one point that they haven't a clue what they are doing!

Appalling service and horrendous customer service. Despite attempting (three times) to be placed on the priority services register, via OVO's online link, OvO didnt. Six months later - and after Citizen Advice Bureau's intervention, I was registered. Unfortunately, OVO is reluctant to support its disabled, vulnerable and chronically ill customers. Moreover, I havent received my warm house discount for the year, and OVO can't outline where this payment is. Again, neglect is their approach to everything I've communicated. I've tried to claim a hardship fund via OVO. Applied several times via their extra support online link, but the link simply refers a customer back to Citizen Advice Bureau. I've requested a letter from OVO stating that they can't support me with my hardship issues, but they have refused to provide one. 7 months later, and several calls later, their complaint representative has now informed me that they have a hardship form which needs to be completed online, and one that should have been shared many months ago. British Gas hardship fund are now considering my application, but OVO has refused to provide the relevant paperwork that would inevitably support me with this application. Their concern is that I will attempt to move to British Gas. Therefore, they're reluctant to support me with this application. Apparently, and according to OVO, if British Gas support me with my debt, I'll be debt free, and free to move to another provider. As CAB representative said, this is a clear case of vendor locki-n that OVO are notorious for: Lock-in customers by ensuring that they are continuously in debt. Customers in debt can't move to another energy provider (one that actively supports vulnerable customers) until they have cleared their debt. OVO will go as far as blocking government funded hardship payments - funds that are customers entitlements - so that they can retain even disgruntled and vulnerable customers. Absolutely ludicrous!!! 100% Avoid OVO Energy. Avoid, Avoid, Avoid.
