Solar PV installation with battery storage. Quick friendly service - from initial visit through quote to work completed. Couple of "wrinkles" ironed out with no fuss, very easy to contact their office. Up & running smoothly now - I just need to keep an eye on it & learn how to get the best out of it! Much better price than a competitor's quote & a local company. The system has been running for a year now & I have done some quick calculations - the payback from exporting to The Grid plus savings from using generated electricity (what it would have cost from the Supplier) mean that it will pay for itself about 10 years after installation! This will vary with price of electricity & weather. Of course there's the satisfaction of knowing that you're helping reduce emissions. I'm happy with that!

Great, interactive, intelligent and responsive service start to finish - so many friends have had negative experiences with solar installation from other firms, but SS&Air were 5* right the way through (including immediately resiting some of the panels after a communication malfunction during installation). Lovely, responsive, personal and helpful after-sales support and advice too, even when a minor component failed 2 years later. We have already recommended to several friends.
An honest reliable company who gave good service. It took me a long time to find this company. I was scammed by two other companies who just quoted highly inflated prices. I was impressed when the electrician from Solar Sun and Air said my old system was reparable and working but I decided to go for a new inverted to take me forward. My old inverter was 14 years old.
We had Simon come out and explain the complete set up, no pressure selling. Quote was very competitive. From start to finish it was an excellent job. Scaffolders were great, Dave the roofer was brilliant so experienced and Ben the electrican was great as well. Once it was all installed Simon came back to see we were happy and the system was working ok. We had 14 panels and 2 x 5kwh batteries installed. Since the initial install we've added a 3rd battery thru Simon and we are so pleased with the system. I have waited a few months to post this to makesure everything is still great. Can't be happier, we're glad we chose Solar Sun and Air. 👍😊

Ross and the rest of the team took time to guide us through the best options for what we wanted to achieve out of our PV system and were extremely supportive throughout. I have had good service from the installation by Solar Sun and Air of solar panels . However recently, i installed a new router and therefore needed my Foxess batteries and myenergi Zappi and Eddi to be reconnected. Simon answered my phone call promptly and offered to visit to make the connection. This was accomplished without delay , a service which was very much appreciated.

Couldn't be happier with the solar panel and battery install from Solar Sun & Air. It can be a bit overwhelming trying to navigate all the options with solar but Simon from Solar Sun & Air was incredibly helpful and actually offered expert advice on what system would work best for us. He also came to the house to properly measure everything and ensure the installation would run as smooth as possible. This resulted in a design which included more panels and better quality kit than many of the companies I received quotes from, many of whom never even set foot on the property. Solar Sun & Air arranged the scaffolding and dealt with the paperwork with the local authorities, so we had nothing to worry about. On the day of installation it was Dave who installed the panels and Ben who connected the system up. Dave is an experienced roofer, so I knew there would be no leaks or issues after he'd finished. Ben the electrician was also fantastic and happy to explain how each part worked and helped get me set up with monitoring and adjusting the system. Both were courteous and friendly and approachable with any questions we had about our new system. I'd definitely recommend Solar Sun & Air to friends and family.

All in all, a fairly inept company with shocking levels of experience and knowledge. Not only did they design and install an entirety new system that they then installed incorrectly, they failed to recognise their own failings and basic electrical safety compliance issues several times over, on repeated inspections with different "expert" engineers over a period of 20-months. This resulted in an instance of the inverter isolator smouldering, causing an immediate fire safety risk that was fortunately detected by the void detection installed by others. But even then this "expert" company failed to recognise their poor electrical knowledge and installation standards, resulting in incorrectly wired installation remaining for a sustained period causing excessive reverse bills. Whilst they admit their failings in writing and direct comms, they appear unable / unwilling / lacking in skill and integrity (not sure which applies...!?) to deal with it. A completely independent third party Bristol based expert installer was therefore called in by me to investigate, appraise and remedy. This took them half a day to fault find the poor wiring and workmanship issues caused by Solar Sun & Air and remedy with no issues since. STEER CLEAR OF SOLAR SUN & AIR
Solar Sun & Air did an absolutely fantastic job fitting my solar install and can't thank them enough for doing such an amazing job. I'd like to thank Ross for helping me to determine the best setup for my needs and helping to coordinate the install. The install I went with was 10 Longi panels and a Fox ESS hybrid inverter to give me the flexibility to upgrade to a battery store in future. Dave and the installation team did such a neat job of installing the panels on the roof, the install looks brilliant and far exceeded my expectations. Ben the electrician did an brilliant job of installing and commissioning the setup. Determining how to route the wiring from the panels to the inverter in my garage was my biggest concern, but I need not have been concerned as Ben came up with a great solution and the wiring is so neat and tidy. The office were also very helpful in keeping me up to date and arranging all the required paperwork. I've had the solar install running since the fitting at the end of June and not experienced any issues. It's working brilliantly. I would really recommend Solar Sun & Air to anyone looking for a solar install, as not only was the cost very competitive, but also the service I received was second to none.
Highly recommended company, very helpful and friendly staff, efficient installation and great after support. Had solar and battery system installed in late 2024, contacted them in mid-2025 to look at increasing the size of the battery - from enquiry to installation was less than a week. Fantastic service. System has performed flawlessly during that time and neat and tidy install.
Had my solar designed and installed by these, and now the scaffolding is down I can leave my review. From start to finish I was very happy with the service they provided. The initial design didn’t match my energy needs and I worked with them to get an updated design albeit more expensive. I then shopped around and did find cheaper quotes, but I think sometimes you get what you pay for. I opted to go with them and couldn’t be happier with the service and quality of the installation, and more importantly the effectiveness of the system. Everyone came when they said they would and the job is neat and tidy. I have 18 520w panels on east and west facing roofs, 2x Fox EP11 10.36kWh batteries and an 8kW Fox inverter. I have generated up to 59kWh in a day and my home has been self sufficient for weeks (bar one v cloudy day). I use between 30 to 35 kWh of energy a day so this is a huge saving, also feeding in plenty of energy to the grid (for free until the Export Mpan is sorted from national grid and British Gas.) the G99 application was sorted and given before the panels went in and a few days after the install I got the fully signed copy and all documents. They issue a warranty you need to send off for the installation and I can’t recommend the company enough.
The entire process was smooth from start to finish, incredibly professionally handled, and we're thrilled with our new solar panel set up. Every single person we've spoken to at the company has been lovely, and we were amazed at how quickly the whole installation happened. A big thank you to the whole team :)
Solar Sun & Air have brilliant setting up our Solar PV array. The installation is neat and producing a good amount of electricity for the time of year. The team were friendly and easy to work with.
Right from the first contact with Will Odhams-Good we were very impressed by his knowledge and friendly attitude. Although we changed the design several times due to conditions beyond our or the companies control he was extremely patient and helpful. Eventually we finished up with a system exactly what we required. When it came to the installation, the scaffolding company did an excellent job, very quickly. Again their labour force were friendly and efficient. And finally the electrician, "Ben", was extremely confident and friendly. He took great pride in the work he did and would not settle for second best. On our installation he did an excellent job and we are very pleased with the result. In fact the whole of the Solar Sun and Air team we dealt with were very helpful. We would thoroughly recommend this company to anyone considering a Solar installation.

The team at Solar Sun & Air recently installed 16 solar panels, 6kw Fox hybrid inverter & a 5.8 kw Fox battery at my home. The price of the install was very reasonable compared to other quotes i had for the work so i placed the order, a little over a week later G99 approval was given so the installation happened and was completed in roughly a day and a half to a high standard which was quite impressive. Only had one minor issue with the inverter not wanting to connect to my WI-FI but SS&A was very helpful in finding a resolution quickly. The equipment has worked flawlessly and generates an impressive amount of electricity due to the well thought out design. Ellie was extremely on the ball sending over all the relevant documents including commissioning certs, export M pan details, schematic drawings, warranty documents and building control approvals which aided me to gain an export tariff very quickly. All in all a massive thank you to all at Solar Sun & Air for a great job at a competitive price. Many thanks Stuart Jagger

Having being given several quotes for a PV system, I decided to go with Solar, Sun & Air, it became obvious early on when Will surveyed my house that they were looking to provide a system that made the most sense for me, not what made them the most money. A really approachable company that I would thoroughly recommend. Ellie does an amazing job on the admin & logistics end, and all of the fitters were very polite and listened carefully to any of my concerns. I was kept updated along the way and they gave me a very competitive price from the outset which I respected, thanks to everyone involved, the system is great, and I'm really pleased with it.
The team at Solar Sun Air were excellent. We asked to have the scaffolding up a little longer and configured differently so that we could put up external wall insulation and they helped. The install was rapid and easy. They helped afterwards with the app and everything.
Contacted Solar Sun & Air and within a couple of days they had completed a survey and provided a quote. The quote was very competitive and included good quality equipment. 1 week later the scaffolding was up and panels were being fitted. The fitters were clean and tidy and very approachable and the final product was fantastic. We have seen an 80% drop in our grid consumption and the weather has been miserable! I have no complaints.

We've just had a full system installed by the team at Solar Sun & Air and we couldn't be happier. The communication was brilliant, the workmanship very high and the price was very competitive!! Any questions were quickly replied to and the support setting up the app has me obsessed with how much power we are now generating.

Solar Sun & Air (SS&A) did a great job responding quickly to my enquiry. Chloe and Ellie Mae have been a delight to talk to and email. Austin & Will arrived promptly for a site visit and were extremely knowledgeable regarding panels, batteries and tariffs. The panel installers arrived the following morning after the roofers had finished (as planned). The Electricians were positively (pun intended) brilliant. They were clean, tidy and efficient, answering all my questions and explaining everything. SS&A monitor your system remotely to ensure it functions correctly and supplies an (addictive) app for your smartphone. My solar panels and batteries have been up and running for seven months. My latest electric bill (Aug 23) was 56p I know, shocking (again pun intended). I thoroughly recommend SS&A for their customer service and efficiency.

Having had 4 quotes from various companies we went ahead with Solar Sun and Air, with an order for 9 panels, an 8.2 Kw battery, an Eddi and an EV Charger. Their price was competitive and Will, the operations manager was very informative on the site visit. When it came to the installation there seemed to be a slight breakdown in communication within the company. The roofers were not aware of our order for SolarSkirt, and therefore did not have it. It took 10 days to resolve this. The electricians did not have the Eddi, and had not been warned that an extra RCD consumer unit was needed, also causing delays and repeated visits. With all this said, all of the companies staff were polite and completed their work well. They all cleaned up after their work and we are happy with the installation. We were left a little in the dark about setting things up to work efficiently but I was able to do all of this after spending some time researching the various elements of our installation. It would have been better had the company either set everything up, or provided some instructions on how to do so.

More than happy to recommend,.. from survey right through to the install and commissioning i can't fault them, electricians were great, very tidy job. I had a 2.8Kw grid and 3 fox batteries installed in mid December, on sunny days the system is good enough to run my house, 3 bed semi, through the day and once the batteries are charged they will run the house at night, starting to see the benefits now the days are longer. If your thinking of solar give them a call.
