Max fitted a Starlink internet system into an atrium. He is a skilful, brilliant and tidy electrician. He is sympathetic to personal choices and asks plenty of questions to make sure he gets things right. I would recommend First Light in a heart beat.

As a landlord I have had 2 experiences with First Light in as many weeks and they have been exceptional, professional, responsive. First was a bit of fire drill on a last minute EICR for a tenant moving in - incredible prompt support. The 2nd time of contact they knew my name, I shared I had a different tenant with intermittent electrical issues - within 4 hours of raising the issue, sharing the outline costs, going onsite - the problems were solved within the guideline budget they shared, tenant was delighted - I will definitely be using them for all my future electrical requirements!

First Light Electrical and I have been working together for many many years. Recently I needed to renew two Electrical Installation Certificates and it turned out that remedial works were required to successfully re-issue the certificates for both properties. This has now all been sorted and the certificates have been issued. It was all very straightforward to arrange. Lee has a great team working with him and they are really nice people to do business with.

Truly a beacon of light. I had a nightmare with my existing electrical contactor. I was in absolute despair and lost all hope. I decided to call First Light Electrical Services and spoke to a gentleman called Lee. First Light installed a Tesla Wall charger for me. I initially contacted them on 2 May and the charger was installed on 12 May. There was a glitch during the job but the guys went away got hold of the additional part needed and completed the job on the same day. They stayed on to confirm charger was working and linked to my Tesla account. Very happy with their service.

I contacted Dan from First Light Electrical for a quote to supply power via an armoured cable to my outbuilding at the back of my garden. Dan arrived on time and was very professional from the outset. He made a note of all my requirements and then provided a detailed quote for all wiring, sockets, lighting switches, and other ancillary equipment. Dan intelligently questioned my requirements and helped guide me to find the most cost-effective approach to achieving what i needed. On installation day, Scott arrived on time and re-comfirmed all the details, and had no problems making a few minor adjustments that I thought of in the interim (thank you). Unfortunately, I explained that due to rain, I could not clear things out as much as I'd hoped. Again, Scott was incredibly accommodating and didn't hesitate to muck in and help me out (even though I should have done this!). All the work was completed to a high standard, and it was really tidy. Very impressed. Over the years, I have dealt with many tradespeople. However, Dan and Scott from First Light Electrical were distinctly different. Very professional, intelligent, and accommodating, which took away all the stress to get the job done on time. A rare quality amongst most of the tradespeople I have come across over the years, I'm glad to have met them. Definitely recommend them if you want a professional job at a very reasonable price. This was our second electrical install by First Light Electrical Services and we are again, extremely happy with their services. Our first job was an electrical install for an outbuilding and safety testing with new outdoor cables and fixtures. Our second job was a big interior light installation in our very poorly lit commercial shop. Both times, the works completed were to the highest of standards, carried out neatly and efficiently. First Light Electrical literally saved the day for my dad! He had a fuse box tripping out which left him without power on a Friday afternoon, and the team were able to get to the property at short notice within a couple of hours and quickly identify the issue. First Light Electrical Services Ltd fitted my new Solar Panel System which I am very happy with. Dan was helpful in explaining everything and left everything clear, clean and tidy.

Having used Dan, Lee and their team for electrical work both personally and for our clients, I can highly recommend their services. Their team are efficient, communicative and work to a high standard. They've installed lights, sockets and garden electrics to my home, as well as an EV charging point and hard wired our smart doorbell too. We will definitely be using them again in the future.

Neil & Max from First Light Electrical Services attended my premises this week for our annual EICR. They were on time, extremely professional and took the time to explain what they did, what they were testing, explained the process. First light have provided me with a detailed and comprehensive report of remedial works that should be completed too. Highly professional service. Very happy with the service. I needed an electrical inspection, installation of wireless thermostat and 3 small adjustments to ceiling lights. I received a response to the email very promptly and the guys showed up exactly on time. They were professional and clean in their work and did a great job. Recommended.

From the initial phone enquiry to the work being undertaken First Light were superb, they had to work in the home of a Dementia sufferer and with that come its own issues. Their engineer handled the whole call with respect, grace and compassion and therefore I rate their work to the highest level. I have subsequently instructed them to work on my business premises too.

The arrogance and rudeness of Dan Ockenden, the director of the company was unbelievable. I would strongly discourage anyone from using his service. I requested a quote to get a new EV Charger installed at my property. Dan came in and produced a quote - until that point no complaints. I then call Dan to ask a couple of technical questions for the installation as I just bought my first EV so was very new the electric [charging] world. During the conversation I mentioned that I was waiting on a few other quotes to come in before I proceeded, as ANY logical person would! Dan immediately said "Oh I didn't realize you were looking around and getting other quotes, I am not interested in competing with others for such an insignificant job like this so I am rescinding my quote, have a good day" - AND HUNG UP ON MY FACE! I cannot understand for the life of me how he, as the director of the company think this is an appropriate manner to treat his customers. I ended up going with a company called Mr Charger and honestly best decision I have ever made. Matt (the owner) was a great guy, and did a fantastic job at my property. I would never give any business to such a rude and narrow minded individual such as Dan, and for those who are on the fence about First light... I wouldn't. Hope this review helps you save yourself some time!

I've just had 2 light fittings replaced by Mitch at First Light Electrical and am thoroughly pleased! Arrived on time and was very professional. Light fixtures replaced quickly and also he filled the exposed holes after the new fittings were in place. Left the area nice and clean. Would definitely recommend!

Excellent service, manager came out and inspected the work to be done in the morning and came back with a quote that afternoon. The tasks were not straightforward but the quote was good value. The work was carried out promptly to a high standard. The electricians who carried out the work were polite and hard working. Not all hero's wear capes! I was let down by another electrician who failed to turn up to install a light fitting in my living room. I called first light electrical services as a local company & who also came recommended on social media & Lee was absolutely amazing! Very easy to deal with & quickly booked in for him to fit the new light. Turned up promptly at the time pre agreed & very swiftly installed the new light fitting. Mitch from First Light Electrical Services (Uxbridge, London area) first came to check our spotlights as we had 6 out of 12 not working. He quickly found the problem and suggested all of them get updated to improve longevity. Within a few days he already had the parts needed and came to update and install the 12 spotlights. He was really friendly, he engaged with my baby daughter as well which was so nice. He talked me through everything he was doing to make sure I knew what was going on. He kept were he was working clean and tidy and was very polite. I would 100% recommend Mitch and if I have any issues in the future will definitely be contacting him. Real credit to the company.

So the team arrived on time. The service was completed in time. They explained the process re assuring us that we would be without power for only a few minutes which meant the slightest inconvenience. Electricians are not known for their tidiness however there was no mess, all the dust created was hoovered up and the surfaces wiped. Very professional indeed. Wholly recommended

First light electrical where instructed to sort out 3 smoke detectors as 1 was chirping, the creepy little chap spent 2 hours replacing 3 batteries and the smoke detector is still chirping and now has dirty marks all over it. The most concerning issue was the electricians behaviour towards my girlfriend who was made to feel uncomfortable and stared at almost non stop. This is not an acceptable way to operate. I would never use this company as my girlfriend did not feel safe.

Totally unprofessional. Told 2 weeks ago need 5mp DVR and thy still came whit a 2mp .thy have note even tested the cameras yet .was insurance claim true outsurance. All the rest of the claim has been sorted. Outstanding performance from outsurance but let down by first light.

The alarms and emergency lighting were tested at our block of flats one morning and the operative forgot to switch the power back on, plunging us into total darkness in the communal areas for almost a day. There is no natural light at all so it was pitch black and you could not even see to put your key in your door. Single women had to be accompanied to and from the car park as it was potentially so dangerous yet despite it being reported in the late afternoon, nobody turned up until the next day. Emergency call out? Clearly not. To make a fundamental error like that and then not even bother to put it right is pretty poor service in my book.
