Midlec Ltd

Really happy with communication, installation quality of work and Paul did a very good explanation on how to use the app and charger.

Highly recommend Paul, had an issue with our Sync Energy charger connecting with my Audi Q4. It wasn’t a charger Paul installed but he went above & beyond to support getting the issue resolved. Turned out it was a user error 🤦🏻‍♀️ but Paul helped determine this. Definitely the go to guy for anything EV charger related! Thanks Paul!

I rang a few installers and each one let me down... I called Paul and he told me not to worry and got me booked in.... the job his team did was outstanding... no fuss... just came and got on with the job... everything was clean and the install was immaculate... Thankyou

We had a charger installed by Paul in September last year. A superb job. Unfortunately the charger failed recently and the support from the charging company was poor. Paul agreed to come and change the charger within a day of discussing with him. First class service and an all round great professional person I would happily recommend his company - many thanks Paul

Paul fitted a charger for me a little while ago (forgot to review at the time sorry!). Paul was prompt and worked quickly and installed my new charger for me, taking the time to get it all set up and took me through how to use it etc and making sure I had the app on my phone etc. I had a Zappi Glo fitted which was a first for Paul but im pleased to say its been working fine since being fitted and no trouble at all. The charger has now won an award as well. The price was competitive and the time between quote and work completed was quick too, so wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to others

Midlec have just fitted an Andersen EV charger for me and did a very neat job. They took the time to talk me through the controlling app and made sure it all worked before leaving. A good product professionally installed. I'm very pleased.

Easy to deal with and friendly service

A fast and friendly service. Paul really went the extra mile and didn't stop until he had resolved all of our problems, not just with installation but with app issues as well. 100% would recommend.

I can’t recommend Midlec highly enough. I had a particularly difficult install, in terms of the cable route. Octopus refused to install (after taking my money). Paul saw solutions where others saw problems, and we have a happy installation!

Fantastic service from Paul, great communication and really helpful with all queries. I had to bring my install forwards and Paul happily accommodated a change in dates. Very professional and excellent quality of install, would highly recommend.

Great service from Midlec from enquiry to completion of installation. Very helpful and workmanship to a very high standard.

5★ – Seamless install and great support. Paul was incredibly helpful in choosing the right Andersen charger from several options and other brands. He arrived promptly on installation day, explained everything clearly, and guided us through the aftercare with Andersen as well as the steps required with our energy supplier. Very knowledgeable and the finish is immaculate—aesthetically pleasing setup. Highly recommend. Thank you!

Choosing an EV charger and a good installer is a minefield. Thankfully Paul at Midlec made the whole process simple, from choosing the right charger to a hassle free installation. After my initial enquiry and remote survey, Paul explained the different charger options available and importantly, the differences between the brands and models. Paul went on to explain exactly what was involved in the installation and how long it should take. This meant the installation itself went smoothly and without any issues. Midlec supplied an excellent product and amazing service from my first contact to completion of install, I cannot recommend Paul and Midlec highly enough, thank you for a stress free experience.

Great price and amazing service. Would definitely recommend!

Great install and friendly service, all working well, excellent job. Would recommend 👌

Excellent Service. Prompt, efficient and friendly. Many thanks Paul

Friendly, knowledgeable and just a nice bloke. We had an Anderson EV charger fitted by Paul, great quality product. Booked us in at short notice, sensible price and top quality workmanship, highly recommended.

Midlec were very responsive to our initial online enquiry, came round to inspect the site (a new build) to validate the quote, and the installation itself was carried out as agreed. Very happy with the service and looking forward to using our EV charger

Excellent all round; Paul dealt with everything from initial enquiry through to the installation of the EV charger with efficiency and courtesy. Very pleasant and professional. Paul explained what he was doing, checked that the location of the charger was as we wanted and went through setting up the app. He made sure I was comfortable with how to use the charger by getting me to connect my car to it. I’d recommend Midlec without reservation.

Paul recently installed a EV charger at my house. Although the installation was not standard and required extra work Paul did an excellent job. Clean and tidy and a genuine guy. Everything was explained as we went along. I would recommend Midlec to anyone considering an EV charging installation. Thanks again Paul.

Really great service, left the areas he was working on cleaner than when he started. Flexible, reliable, I went through all of our options for installation. Would highly recommend as some of the bigger companies didn't want to undertake the manual work that was involved to installing some of the cables did a great job, maybe a lot like the cables always, will be recommending to to family and friends if they're thinking of installing a EV car charger.

Brilliant service from Paul who's a lovely bloke. Really great communication, quick turnaround and good quality & tidy installation and all the paperwork completed quickly.

Great business, They were able to slot me in at short notice and all work completed professionally and no mess was left. Would definitely use again.

Midlec provided a polite, responsive and professional service from the first enquiry phone call through to the installation and handover. Paul was friendly and patient during the initial selection and decision making process and gave me the confidence to proceed with Midlec. The installation was booked quickly and site attended bang on the expected time. The work was all wrapped up in less than 3 hours with minimal hassle. Paul took time to perform a comprehensive handover and did not leave site until I was comfortable that the charger was running at maximum capacity. In short - can't fault the servce - highly recommended

Absolutely top class from beginning to end. Paul was prompt, knowledgeable and extremely professional. Would recommend wholeheartedly.

Would highly recommend Paul! Great experience start to finish, very diligent, super informative and quick to reply/come out.

Paul, a very honest, knowledgable and professional gentleman who spent time explaining what was wrong with my charger and putting it right. Would highly recommend Midlec Ltd for any EV Charger installations or repairs.

Very positive experience with Midlec. I had a problem with my EV charger that I’d been unable to sort out directly with Ohme support. Paul came round, did some tests and then went away to contact Ohme through his installer contacts. Issue fixed the same day. Paul was very reassuring and followed up really well. I’d recommend him to anyone for charger installation or repair

Superb job, great price. Could not recommend these guys more

Paul did a fantastic job installing my new EV charger, demonstrating the charger app and recommending some other apps which will be useful. Would highly recommend Midlec Ltd.

Just had a Hypervolt Charger fitted by Midlec. Both Paul and Phil have been fantastic throughout

Great job well done. Having someone with Paul's experience who was willing to listen to your requirements made for a first class installation. Would recommend to anyone interested in having a home charger installed.

Paul got to me the same day I called him and fixed my charger on the same visit. A very professional gentleman.

Thanks for sorting charger. Cheery and professional. Determined to do a good job

I was pleased to find a local firm to do our EV charger installation. The whole process was very slick and the installation is excellent. My congratulations to Paul for running a tight ship and to Phil who did the majority of the installation.

Great service, explained everything, couldn't ask for more.

Could not recommend Medlec more. Paul really took the time to understand our requirements and quoted to suit. Paul was friendly, professional, and did a fantastic job even with it being -5 outside. Thanks Paul!

Absolutely excellent! Everything was explained and finished to the highest quality. Paul couldn’t do enough to help and leave a perfect finish in my cottage

Great service from start to finish, highly recommended!

Great service and top quality workmanship. Really prompt responses and very freindly. Highly recommend.

Excellent. Friendly, knowledgeable and professional service. Highly recommended.

Paul did a fantastic job repairing my faulty charger. He engaged with the supplier and got the whole job completed under warranty. He went out of his way to get the best result a free replacement. Awesome work.

What a marvellous company. It’s rare nowadays (unfortunately) to find a service that has brilliant presales, are punctual, deliver everything you asked for, are helpful and tidy onsite, and offer after care on top. The negotiation was fair, and it’s a local business. What more can we ask. Brilliant. It’s a shame I don’t need 2 chargers!

Really pleased with the helpful service from Midlec. Paul took the time to explain everything and where to get help in the future. Thoroughly recommend

Excellent friendly service.

Excellent, friendly and prompt service from Paul. A pleasure to deal with, would highly recommend!

Excellent work. Lovely install. Absolutely first class - survey was excellent and you wouldn't even know they'd been when they actually did the job. Would thoroughly recommend. Thanks Paul. Will mention to others.

Paul installed an EV charger for us. Explained everything he was going to do first and helped me set up the charger and app and then test it on the car. Thoroughly nice chap. Highly recommended.

Paul installed an EV Charger having been recommended to me by a neighbour. He and his colleague were very professional from their first visit to the day of install. Given the location of our consumer unit it could have been a tricky installation but they managed to get the cable to the outside wall without any fuss. Would recommend.

Paul has done several small electrical jobs for us. He is thoroughly reliable, highly professional and very easy to to get on with - highly recommended..

Paul organised and fitted an EV charging point at my home address. Paul will do all he can to make it an easy experience and quality of workmanship is high. Highly recommend.

Paul did some work for us in our previous property (fusebox upgrade) and we were very happy with the work. Paul was polite, on time (every single time) and did a good job. Since then, we move in a property that needed a significant amount of work. Paul was our 1st choice. Again very professional, friendly, always on time and the work was of excellent quality: part of the house was rewired, many additional sockets installed, fusebox upgraded. Paul installed downlights in all the house. Again very happy with the work. All in all, we don't look for anyone else when we have a job for an electrician. It's not that often you can find someone reliable, professional and carrying quality work. Thank you Paul!

Paul is a professional, experienced and impressive electrician. The service and advice he gives is first class. Paul certainly shows that he wants his clients to be well looked after and follows up to check they are happy with the work and that all is in order. Excellent !

We have used Midlec twice recently and have been extremely pleased with the service both times. Having recently moved to the area we were nervous about finding new tradesmen but we are so pleased that we chose Midlec. Paul was always punctual, tidy and really friendly, even giving us tips for local restaurants and places to visit. No job was too small and the work was done to a high standard at a very reasonable price. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Midlec.

Midlec have given us excellent service at our 18th century cottage over the last 3 or 4 years and their charges are reasonable. They are reliable and trustworthy and turn up as arranged. We are regular customers and are delighted to have found such good electricians. Would highly recommend.

A pleasant change from others - quick to give a fair quote and true to his word, Paul got the parts we needed and did an excellent and thorough job, despite running into various difficulties on the day. He went the second mile to do a good job. Excellent all round and would highly recommend to others.

What a change to find a company who go the 'extra mile'. We had Paul quote for doing the electrics as we were upgrading our kitchen. From quote to completion he was kind, considerate and offered better solutions. He put the electrics for the fridge freezer in the housing cupboard above the fridge making it accessible. He was always on time, polite and a clean and tidy worker. We were so pleased with his work that we asked if he could do the electrical work when our daughter and family moved home. Another job well done for a fair and reasonable amount. We found him totally trustworthy and have no hesitation in recommending Midlec. It makes life so much easier to find tradespeople who are good at what they do and helpful.

Must have got them on a bad day. Hired to connect electric radiator & install lighting in bathroom. We gave him a pendant light, but some of it was missing apparently, so he couldn't fit it. He left us with a hole in the ceiling that was too small to take the ceiling box ,so it was not left in a state ready to fit an alternative light.Without our consent, he took up floor boards to route wiring and seriously damaged the floor. I had asked for it to be routed along the wall since the floor was too shallow & too close to water pipes for installation to meet EIC recommendations. He said he hadn't done this, since he didn't have any cable housing with him. He wasn't in his normal van. When putting back flooring, he screwed through a water pipe. I only discovered this because I was concerned about the insallation and asked him to unscrew the boards to show me how the wires were routed. There was a flood & he had to call an emergency plumber.Mistakes happen, but my main concern was the very bad & abusive way the matter was handled by Paul Limb, his boss. He had to come out & re fit the wiring, since a screw had also been driven through a wire. He still wanted to fit in the floor & I had to make him route it along the wall in housing which we subsequently chased into the wall. He was not prepared to compensate me for the damaged floor and gave me no discount for all the trouble they had caused. Much later, when we realised the light couldn't be fitted, he didn't offer to come out and fit the ceiling box properly.

Very prompt service very profession l will certainly use them again Paul went the extra mile he also is a very nice man .Many thanks Paul you are a star.
