I was looking for ways of bringing down the cost of my electricity. My standing order of £90 plus per month and heading upwards. I contacted a number of companies for quotes including EECO where I met Philip Wilson who took time taking me through the whole process and what I could achieve by investing in solar. I decided EECO was my company of choice. Philip and his team took us through the complete process, and dealing effectively with any problems which arose which were minor. . My direct debit has gone from £95 to £69 a month in 1.5 months. I also have credit with my electricity supplier. That’s a result of. Philip is always available for advice. Wish I had done it sooner. I have not obtained any incentive by EECO this my true thoughts on Solar and EECO

Absolutely delighted with the service from EECO Energy from start to finish. A special mention to Simon Trainor, our client liaison, who was first class throughout. He was extremely responsive, explained everything clearly and continues to quickly answer any questions we have. From confirming the system, the full installation was completed within two weeks, which was brilliant. The roofing team and electricians arrived when they said they would and made sure everything was installed neatly and discreet. We shopped around beforehand and EECO also offered the best price for the system we wanted. The solar and battery combination has been brilliant. We're now at the point where, even on an overcast day, the house is basically running for free from the solar and stored battery power. Great price, professional installation and, most importantly, excellent service before and after the job. Would happily recommend EECO Energy.

EECO Energy recently completed a solar PV and battery installation at our home in Lisburn, and we couldn’t be happier. The roofing and electrical teams were skilled, tidy, and clearly took pride in their work. Had a system installed in 2023, great experience at the time but aftercare has been non existent. Have been given a formal advisory from NIE regarding the install, stating that it will block any future smart meters being installed. Notified eeco energy in March but still waiting on anything being done. My Eddi water heater now has also developed a fault and is using grid power to heat the water. Have been on with myenergi trying to fix the issue for months but they are unable to fix remotely. Rang eeco energy a few days ago for advice and to see if they could get it inspected prior to warranty ending, but still waiting on a call back.

Frist class job from start to finish from sale teem to spark clean tidy and very professional

Just had 11.7kw of Panels with a 16kw battery installed by Eeco Energy. It's been a great experience. Simon took the time to call out and spent almost 3 hours explaining not only the process, but the benefits of what he felt was the right amount of kit for our needs, which was to be as close to off grid as possible. The Solar panels (26) went up without any issues last Tuesday and on Thursday the electricians came and installed the battery, inverter and Iboost for the hot water. All the installers were friendly and courteous doing a swift and efficient install and keeping me informed of what they were doing throughout the day. When it first went live, and for a brief period, the app showed a solar generation of 11,500watts from an 11,700 watt array! In the 3 days since, we have drawn virtually no electric from the grid, but sold energy back ( although waiting for our G99 application for electricity buyback to complete). We have our house running on solar, the battery fully charged by midday, and the hot water tank full after a few hours. At night, the battery has been powering the whole house, and we have seen 39% to 40% battery remaining in the morning as solar kicks in and starts the process over again. So far very happy and excited to see how it performs over an extended period, but I have every confidence in the install. Simon has been very quick to respond to queries afterwards as well. Highly recommended.

Fantastic service from start to finish, Stuart was excellent on giving all the information needed, the job was completed 4 days after we paid the deposit, both the panel installation team and electricians were great and the standard of workmanship was outstanding.

I have just had a PV system installed with 16 panels and a 16 kW battery by EECO. The whole process from getting a quote and a site survey done, through to installation and commissioning was seamless. The sales lead Gerry was very professional and produced a detailed system design and quote. Gerry did not try and up sell any equipment, as I am an engineer, this was appreciated. The design was exactly what we needed for our household energy consumption. The process from order through to installation was only a couple of weeks. The roofing guys that installed the panels and the electricians who installed the battery and inverter were very competent and did a very tidy job. Messina in admin also very helpful with some queries I had throughout the process. I did get quotes from other installers and EECO were the best value like for like. Overall, I am very pleased that I selected EECO to install my system. I would recommend them to anyone.

We decided to get solar a few months back and did a lot of research regarding the best set up for our needs. We had several local companies provide quotes and proposals and decided to go with EECO for a number of reasons; Product warranties were better than others on the inverter and battery. Prices were very competitive. There was no high pressure sales tactics used and we felt in control through the whole process. Finally, Gerry who provided our proposal and quote was a gentleman. The after sales service is amazing. They regularly contact us to make sure we are satisfied. Already we are saving massive amounts even with an electric vehicle being topped up for free every day

EECO installed a full solar PV install including battery storage for me recently in Bangor/Ards area. Stuart was great in answering my questions and discussing options before I signed up, he promised me installation within 10 days. The roof guys came earlier than promised after checking that worked for me, fast friendly tidy and efficient in no time the panels were up The electrical guys friendly and efficient talked me though the install and the app, and everything. Messina and all the office people were also patient friendly and helpful. I can't say enough about how positive this process was in terms of customer service. And obviously the solar panels and battery are great, even with our weather I have been electrically self supporting since installation. I would definitely recommend the company and the team.

Would not recommend EECO. Several quality issues with original PV panel roofing installation followed by prolonged fault issues with Duracell EV charger. Charger eventually replaced with myenergi Zappi but now incompatible with Duracell core system app. Subsequent faults and issues with charger/eddi settings along with incompatible myenergi eddi water heating system with Duracell app. Still awaiting response from EECO who seem to have given up their duty of care and after sales support by not answered my calls, emails or txt messages (not sure if they are still in business?). Very disappointed. The company was recommended to me 12 months ago and the system offered on paper seemed to be value for money - but unfortunately now I know why.

We called EECO after they installed solar panels on a relative's house. They were impressed and recommended them to us. From the initial contact and estimated costing to the site survey and electrical connection I was extremely impressed. At every stage I felt listened to and every attempt was made to ensure I understood all aspects of the job. The team who installed the panels were very tidy and polite and worked very quickly. The electrical team were also amazing and tidied up after themselves. They made some good suggestions which made the work much more inconspicuous and tidy. After a few days using the system I'm impressed with the app used to monitor the system and the overall installation. I highly recommend this team if you are considering solar.

We had solar panels and battery storage installed, as well as a new fuseboard. The team were helpful and knowledgeable in helping us work out what system we needed. Superb experience, excellent company. Full solar PV install, including batteries and Zappi EV charging point. I waited 6 weeks before writing a review - already an 80% drop in electric bill and that was during a wet, cloudy March & April time! When I contacted the Eeco Energy team the response was quick with a visit from Stuart the next day. Stuart was great; professionally assessed thoroughly what our needs were, helped me think through all the options. The computer modelling of different options was fantastic, lots of helpful information, key to deciding what system to install. The solar panels team were really efficient and polite - all panels installed within a few hours. The electrics team of Ross and Caleb were excellent too - very mannerly, clear communication throughout and we felt listened to. The admin support from Lara and Messina was always quick, professional and polite. Great overall experience - strongly recommend.

Fantastic experience from quote and estimate, to survey, to installation. Stuart contacted us after I made an online enquiry. He had some suggestions and modifications for a system best suited to our home that were considered when I mentioned another providers quotation. The price was really competitive and the equipment installed (by my understanding) is high quality and reliable. Messina kept us informed on eta’s for the workers ensuring it fitted our schedule. The roofers fitted the panels within 10 days of the quote and an electrician finished the job a week later. Fascinating seeing the usage on the app and loving seeing how little we’re drawing from the grid. The job was super tidy with no mess left behind. Would absolutely recommend EECO (Solar NRG) in a heartbeat! Our setup (4 bedroom home, SE facing, EV and young family - just outside Lisburn) consists of 16 panels, the hybrid inverter and 20kw battery (x2 10kw). An Eddi smart immersion was also fitted.

Install complete last week and I have already noticed massive saving already my reliance on the grid is almost none existent now. Engineers were clean tidy and professional throughout the entire installation process. Gerry at eeco was quick to respond to address all my questions and concerns.

Installation of 16 solar panel array on east-west orientation. 8 panels to the front and rear with battery storage. A very tidy and efficient installation. The timeline given for completion of the work was exactly as stated. An added feature is the panels feed the immersion using a smart switch. Happy to recommend the company on the basis of our experience.

We have just had our first full day with the new Solar PV including the batteries. We can already see that it will save us a considerable amount of money. The guys who installed the panels and the guys that completed the electrical work were all brilliant. Their workmanship is very good, you can see that they take pride in what they do. When both teams were finished they tidied up after themselves, to the point you'd think they hadn't been there. Apart from the lovely new panels, inverter and batteries. We have just got a full solar PV install including battery and we are only day 3 in and already can see the savings and that's us in the winter months! Really looking forward to the brighter days to see the real savings. The app is great and easy enough to use where you can follow the pattern of the system pulling from the solar and battery, the battery charging and when if at all, you are pulling from the grid. I looked into a few companies before deciding and can honestly say Stuart Laing from EECO/Solar NRG was fantastic. Answered all questions I threw at him was consistently responsive to my queries never left me waiting on an answer unlike other companies I spoke too. The team that were doing the roof works installing the panels were fantastic. Very professional and friendly. It was a really bad day with very heavy rain but they continued on and got the job done and left everything tidy you would not have known they were there. Again the electrical team arrived the next day very professional very friendly and left no mess. They got us onto the app and showed us how to use it. Lara in the office got in contact immediately from the beginning and kept in contact the whole way through the process and afterwards too and has assured me I can ring her at anytime I have any questions. Excellent work provided by this company - very prompt visit and survey by Stuart, alongside his team they recommended a set-up to meet our needs and installation was organised extremely quickly. Both the panel installation team and the electricians who installed the inverter and battery were very friendly, got the work done very quickly and everything is very neat. The panels were installed symmetrically on the roof, there's no real visible wiring and the work done inside the house to connect to the meter box is amazingly tidy - no cables on display, it looks just as it did before. Further, the support from Lara in their office before and after installation has been excellent. Highly recommend this company

EECO Energy came recommended to me by a friend. I had full solar PV installed including battery storage. We live in the Carrickfergus area and EECO Energy were out to install the system in just under a week. The electrical team did a neat install and the roofing team did a fantastic job on installing the panels. Great experience from EECO Energy. We were admittedly nervous at first as EECO were not as well known or popular than some other larger solar installers out there but we’re glad we made the leap. They were priced very competitively also. They clearly explained the packages available and supplied a great package at a very competitive price. We’re seeing a significant reduction in our energy bills especially being able to charge the car during the day and keep the batteries topped up so we have a supply overnight. We now also have hot water all the time thanks to installing the EDDI system. Our energy bills have been cut in half! I’d recommend solar to anyone and if interested you should reach out to EECO. I don’t normally take the time to write reviews but in this case EECO deserve a positive post considering they were easy to work with, regular updates and check-ins, and we’ve not had any issues during or post installation so we can’t comment yet on how effective support might be. Great job.

Stuart installed my solar array and battery storage system a numbers of years ago Communication was fantastic and everything was explained and done as and when it was supposed to. From enquiry to installation was less than 2 weeks !! Since installation my electricity usage has dropped by about 70%, and my annual costs now are about £250...but I got last year £400 for what I exported so actually I'm getting free electric and £150 on top each year !!! With prices only set to continue to increase I'm just so glad I invested in solar and had the system installed by the guys at Eeco Energy. l cannot recommend highly enough !!

Excellent service at a reasonable price. Highly recommended. Stuart provided expert advice from outset. Installation lead time was less than 2 weeks - roofing and electrical teams did great job over 2 x days and I was up and running the next day. The Duracell inverter and battery system (2 x 5 kW/hrs) was positioned in utility room (instead of roof space). This was a good decision as they look ok and don't appear out of place. Currently in the process of getting Econmy7 meter installed so I can charge batteries at night at low rate using the app. Even at end of November on a fine day I get an impressive solar output of about 3-4 kW, which charges the batteries on top of household usage. Although the Duracell system is modular I would recommend adding the batteries from the outset as the increase the efficiency of the system significantly

Stuart gave excellent explanation of your products. Talked at length of where panels could best be positioned and how batteries could assist in energy efficiency and reduced bills. Big thanks to Stuart and all the team for sorting my Solar Panels....From the start of the journey (as there is serious confusion out there as I found out, speaking with other providers) Stuart made the whole process so easy and advised on the solution that was right for our property having reviewed our usage and needs... Once the pricing was agreed, that was very competitive for a premium ( Duracell ) product, it was full steam ahead... The quality of workmanship from start to finish was excellent, from the guys putting the panels on the roof, to the electricians who deployed the invertor and batteries was honestly exemplary ( they even hoovered up after themselves ) Cannot recommend EECO Energy highly enough..

We recently got a solar system installed at home. We priced several companies and the most competitive with best advice was Stuart from Eeco Energy. He walked through the options and technical advantages of the panels and inverter. Carried out a detailed survey and walk through the cabling so Inwas happy with positioning. EECO Energy installed my solar system in mid July this year. The purchase & installation process from start to finish went smoothly. I researched the equipment being proposed by Stuart and all the major parts seemed to have good reviews wherever I looked. The present Zero VAT rate on solar equipment makes the overall installation cost more attractive. My installation was completed in one day as promised by Stuart. A couple of roofers installed the panels on my roof while two electricians installed everything else. The installation team worked hard (non-stop) to get the task done. I elected to have 14 solar panels, (just over 6kW total) a Hybrid inverter & 2 x 5kWh batteries. Over the last 7 weeks the system has generated over 920 kWh & exported nearly 540 kWh back to the electricity network. Any exported power is totalled & paid back annually. Since the installation went live I've only seen an increase on my electricity meter of 12 kWh over the 7 weeks, the solar system has supplied everything else. Clearly winter solar power generation will be significantly lower. The system offers flexibility to use Economy 7 (EV Nightshift) tariff to charge my 2 batteries overnight at a 50% lower rate from the power supplier. My only regret is not having the system installed earlier in the year - eg April. Thanks Stuart to you & your team.

I had my system fitted over 2 days towards the end of April, a total of 9 panels, a smart immersion heater and a 5kw battery. The fitting process was unobtrusive and all aspects were explained in detail. In the last 16 weeks I have used £17 worth of grid electricity. By comparison, in the same period last year my cost was £252. In addition to this, and up to the start of July, I have sold around 510 units back to the grid which should return between £60 & £70. The apps that accompany the system are both intuitive and informative with graphs and diagrams showing usage, generation and savings. Another nice touch is a conversion to environmental savings, showing CO² savings and the equivalent of planted trees. All in all I am really pleased with the system. It's nice to save money and at the same time give something back to the environment by reducing our carbon footprint.

We got Solar NRG to do the work for installing solar panels at our Bungalow in Carrickfergus! i had contacted 3 companies in total to see were i would get the best overall satisfaction between customer service, pricing and sales pitch. I can honestly say Solar NRG ticked every box from our initial enquiry they were polite very easy to talk to and were not pushy on sales talk, Stewart came out to us at a time that suited us which was in the evening he certainly did not try and push us into any decision. Other company's told us they had so many panels at discounted price if we committed to buying within 2 weeks! and also would not come to our home unless we were buying from them. With NRG price and time frame agreed! everything was done and we are up and running within a week. Roofers installing the panels easy to talk with and they explained everything and were clean and tidy as was the electricians. any queries regarding the running Christine is only to glad to help and if she cant give a answer is back on the phone with one very quickly. without any hesitation I would certainly recommend Stewart , his business and everyone who works for him great job!!!!! Just to continue on from our solar installation we contacted Stuart to talk about getting a battery to store the energy generated from the panels and the different price options as they have came down on cost. i have a smart meter in the house and believe me we are so glad that we have the battery fitted our electricity usage as reduced and we can also use the storage to charge up our EV Car. Definitely a win win with great and expert advice from Stuart.

EECO energy (NRG Newtownards) installed my Solar system to my home on December 2023. (16 panels).Struart (NRG) explained system fully, designed were panels should be installed for maximum use and backed all up with technical calculations. Price for system was very competitive and value for money. I found Struart was very pleasant/helpful from start to finish and also completed G98 to NIE on my behalf. Excellent workmanship from Ross (Finlay Elect) and system explained before leaving. Any issues were dealt with quickly and without fuss. Roofing guys were also excellant and completed there work quickly & neatly and took the time to install panels in best location consulting with me throughout.I would recommend 100% and hope to work with them again in future. I contacted 10 companies to get quotations for solar panels. Some said it would be six weeks, others said it wouldn’t be possible because of the shape of the roof, others said we can’t do flat roofs. An extremely frustrating process. I contacted Stuart’s team them came out the next day and had everything installed in one week. TAKE MY ADVICE DON’T GO ANYWHERE ELSE. Stuart and team fitted Duracell batteries to my solar system this week. Absolutely delighted with customer service, support and the performance of the system. Had quotes from other companies but didn’t come close price wise and more importantly the level of customer service is brill. The sparks who fitted the batteries and stuff were great guys. Explained how to use the system and also did a few extra bits and pieces while they were here. The initial phase was a site visit by Stuart who arrived on time and took on board all my concerns and answered all my questions. After obtaining three quotes, I decided to go with EECO Energy. I contacted Stuart on a Friday to confirm that I would like to do business with them. To my surprise, I was told the panels could be fitted the following Wednesday however, on the day, there was a problem identified by the installers which was very quickly pointed out to me and was also raised with Stuart. Stuart called to the house, not long afterwards, the issue was discussed with me and was remedied with installation rescheduled for the following day. It was immediately clear to me that this company all worked together as a team. I think it was a probably bigger job than originally anticipated, in part owing to the pitch of the roof however the fitters did not complain. They were such a pleasure to do business with; they were tidy, kept me informed and replaced a damaged tile rather than conceal it behind a panel. The fitters had to continue their work over a second day, but no sooner had they left than the electricians arrived. I was told the required scaffolding would be lifted by 2pm and it was - almost to the minute! The electricians sorted me that afternoon and again were a pleasure to work with, respecting my desire for minimal disruption to a recently refurbished home. Unfortunately the electricians did not get quite finished on the Friday but agreed with me a time to return on the Monday and they were there a few minutes earlier than expected. The entire process may not have been quite as quick as originally planned, however I was kept fully informed throughout. I was up and running within a few days and the system is now fully operational and despite the winter sunshine, I seem to have exported more than I have used during the course of the day, today! Stuart kept in touch throughout the process and was particularly helpful at advising over my super high electricity bill. I am now going to be much more discerning about how and when I use certain devices and with all the advice I have received I am hopeful that this system will pay for itself quite quickly. To date, I have not installed a battery but will consider this in due course, I am 'battery ready'. Ross, the electrician, explained the app and the hot water system very carefully, but I think I probably have quite a lot to learn! I hope I remember all he told me. I would be very happy to recommend this company and feel that they have treated me very fairly and considerately throughout the process. My thanks go to the entire team.

Solar NRG pigeon proofed my solar panels and they did a great job. Cleaned out behind the panels before clipping on the guard to stop the birds from nesting again and they even cleared my gutters and put on a chimney cowl. Couldn’t fault them the 2 men were lovely. Bit pricy but probably due to scaffolding required… whatever happened to using a ladder to get on t roof? Health and safety gone mad ! Overall a brilliant job which I am happy with.

Decided to update our solar system but our original installers were no longer in business so, after a lot of research, we decided to go with Solar NRG and have to say it was the right choice. Excellent service. Has a thorough consultation with Stuart before having solar panels installed. He explained in detail the process . Work carried out professionally and efficiently and with great aftercare service too . Easy to contact via email/text if any questions. Highly recommend and have noticed a difference in my electric payments . Hot water on tap with more daylight now is a bonus. Stuart also explained how to time using dishwasher ,washing machine etc so not all on at one time to get full benefits of solar panels. Great service .
