I took my elderly father to Williams in Woodseats as he wanted to replace his integrated washing machine earlier in the year. He didn't want to buy online and couldn't find anywhere where he could get reliable face-to-face advice and talk to a knowledgeable supplier about his requirements. He had become worn down and frustrated with the problem. In contrast with other bigger shops tried, the staff at Williams were very helpful and discussed everything with him in detail face-to-face and they were also able to re-drill and refit the cabinet door to the new machine for him which had been a particular concern and anxiety. Overall Williams Electrical were just what he needed - a traditional Sheffield firm with knowledgeable professional local people to help him, and who then went on to complete the job perfectly. And, to add to it, at no greater cost than some of the larger retail park companies were asking for a fraction of the service quality. Overall, Williams Electrical are much recommended.
I couldn’t be happier with the service I received. From the moment I made my enquiry, the staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful. Lee, in particular, was outstanding. He took the time to answer all my questions, gave excellent advice without any pressure, and helped me choose the right microwave for my needs. When looking for a electrical appliance we should consider williams of woodseats first. As I needed a new washer and curry's wouldn't deliver one .but nipping into williams I got just what I wanted and they took all the stress away from me. So when needing any other appliance it will be williams for me .the staff are very friendly and helpful. Elaine & David.
Called in last week, looking at 43" tv's. Lee was very helpful & gave me good advice & did a demonstration of the different ones on display. We went back there & bought the LG tv after having measured up at home for size. Mark served us this time & again was very friendly & helpful. Great service!
Ordered new Samsung Washing Machine as other had died. Wanted to buy local so phoned and asked if they could match best price for national retailer. They matched the offer with Free delivery. Great value fitting and set up charge, also took away old machine. Clear communication on delivery and arrived on time.
Excellent customer service. When my American fridge freezer decided to stop working just before a bank holiday I was concerned to say the least. I did the usual online shopping round. I contacted my usual provider who no longer has a store in Sheffield and the delivery quote was 2 to 3 weeks. A friend of ours had told us about Williams so I gave them a call. Within 24 hours I had my new American fridge freezer installed. Williams operate a price match, free delivery and a small cost to take the old fridge freezer away. The guys who delivered the fridge freezer were very good it took 3 of them to get the old one out and the new one in. The overall service we have just experienced has been outstanding. If and when we need new electrical equipment we will not hesitate to use Williams again Many Thanks

My mum is house bound after having a massive stroke and is starting with dementia. The TV she has in her bedroom wouldn’t work properly so she called this shop and arranged a repair, two very nice gentleman arrived at my mums to make the repair they discovered the aerial wire had come away from the small silver container that plugs into the back of the TV, one of the gentleman put the wire back in, They weren’t in the house 30mins, she only lives two miles from the shop! FOR THIS THEY CHARGED HER £60!!!!! This is taking advantage of a vulnerable 82 year old woman! Even £40 would have been extortion! 😡😡

Lovely people really helpful, Great range of electrical products, many in stock and others on short order. They didn't have what we wanted, because we urgently needed to replace a cooker with one almost identical, but they were ready to order one, and in the end they helped us to find one in another business nearby. Above and beyond customer service!! We went to buy a double under counter oven, and we wanted it before Christmas. They hadn't got one in stock, but a few moments later, they said they'd phoned another independent retailer who had several in stock! Recently ordered a Neff hob online and within a couple of minutes had a phone call to discuss a delivery date. I came here hoping to buy a washing machine. They had a good choice of washing machines at a variety of prices. I was able to buy a machine in the price range that I wanted. The lady who helped me with the purchase was extremely helpful and was very understanding and flexible regarding the delivery date. I will definitely use this company again.

Avoid the repair frauds upstairs. Took a TV to them months ago. Had good idea what was wrong with my TV and mentioned this to them. They then gave me their standard fraud speech... 'Leave the TV with us, our engineers will diagnose it and give you a quote, if you accept the quite we'll take your £30 deposit off our invoice t the end, if you decide to decline service, we keep your £30.' How's about let's turn a few screws, I'll wait here and you CONFIRM what I suspected my TV needs BEFORE you TRY to rob me of £30 first. Absolute first class frauds. Stay away

I’ve used Williams Electrical twice in the last couple of months and on both occasions they have provided a great service. First of all, my washer dryer broke down and they had me back up and running with a new machine within 2 or 3 days. Then I decided to replace my integrated fridge freezer. This was not an easy job, but the installation guys came and did a site survey first to ensure that the new appliance would fit into the integrated unit. They then returned at a later date and made a great job of installing the new fridge freezer. Great service also from the office staff, especially Lee, who kept me informed of progress and answered all my questions. The installation guys always turned up on time and were very professional, taking away all the packaging and the old appliances. Good, old fashioned, no nonsense service! Will definitely use again.
Having been let down by two previous electronics retailers (on the day of delivery) Williams delivered and installed a new washing machine for me to my 1st floor utility room with no fuss. I live in a classic Sheffield terrace with very steep stairs and they were accommodating and communicative throughout. Highly recommended.

What a lovely experience came upon this store whilst trying to purchase a fridge freezer. After a useless visit to Currys found that Williams stocked the freezer we wanted. After a few emails with Lee the freezer was purchased and delivered within 3 days. My old freezer was also taken away. The experience was a very pleasant one which I fed back to Currys as there staff had no interest at all.Thank you

Many retailers are happy to take your money when you make a purchase but fall down when there is a problem- happily, for me, Williams Electrical are not one of those retailers. I purchased a Hisense washing machine back in March which was promptly delivered and installed but in May failed to operate at all. I contacted the manufacturer’s service line who, after initially booking a call within a few days, moved this for ‘operational reasons’ to a date two weeks later. This would have meant that I would have been without a washer for more than three weeks. I went into Williams’s shop and the staff there agreed with my annoyance at the manufacturer ‘s lack of service and promised to resolve the problem. Within a day they had got Hisense to agree to ‘write-off’ the machine and give me a full refund. As I was appalled at Hisense’s customer service I refused another one of their models and went for a Hotpoint 8kg model that was delivered the following day and the defective machine taken away. You might find an appliance a tenner cheaper at an online rival or at Currys but I guarantee that if you get a problem, as unfortunately I did, they will go missing in action. I can’t praise Williams Electrical highly enough and would particularly like to thank Freya and Mark for all their help in this matter- great company, fantastic employees. Touch wood, my new machine has so far been problem free but if it were to develop a fault during its warranty period I am confident that this retailer would be there to assist me.

Williams is a local store and always delivers an efficient, friendly, courteous service. They do what they say they'll do and are great should you have any queries which on this occasion we did but as always they were handled quickly thanks to Freya who was great from the initial query al the way through. I recently had an Indiset washing machine installed i paid for the old 1 to be taken away as well. As i have integrated appliances the door hinges did to match up to my new appliance so the lads took the door away and religned the hinges and came back and fitted it. I can't rate this company any higher or i would they did a first class job and explained everything about my new purchase. I have been using Williams for over 20 years now and never had any problems. Just had a washing machine delivered and installed - a little over 24hrs after I bought it over the phone. Really impressive result. Staff couldn’t be more helpful, even when I had to chop and change a bit. And to cap it all, the price was the same as major national stores. The whole process was thoroughly professional and efficient. Seriously good customer service: a very satisfied customer.

My elderly mums fridge freezer broke in the heatwave. She needs to keep her insulin in the fridge. I was in a panic but the team at Williams went above and beyond.... they did a site survey the very same day... lent Mum a fridge until they could source a new one. They did this really quickly at a reasonable price and very soon the fitters came and did an amazing job (having to adjust what was previously rather badly fitted doors). Overall fantastic service. I would highly recommend!

Williams Electrical are a first class local company. The equipment is always exactly what you've ordered and in excellent condition. Their delivery men are friendly and helpful, and we always pay for fitting which they do perfectly. They deliver on time: you are offered a delivery date, and then the day before you get a call to confirm the time they will arrive. Because an earlier delivery slot (one day earlier) came available, we were offered this; the offer came the day before the potential new delivery slot, and we were able to decide if this fit in with our plans - which it did. We have used this company repeatedly including for new equipment in a tenant's house and they are always totally excellent.

The difference in service and knowledge between Williams and their rival electrical superstore down the road was marked, and made buying through them an obvious choice. They always have what you want at a good price. Staff are knowledgeable about the products they sell and they don't try to sell you something you don't want or need. Delivery is efficient, they arrive when they say they will. We will use them again.
We have bought several appliances from Williams over the years, and have always been pleased with them. I don't think the loss of teletext was hidden from us deliberately. I assumed teletext was still there, and the salesesman probably assumed that I knew it had gone.

I recently purchased a Samsung Qled Tv from Williams. As this was not a tv they stocked, as an Euronics Agent they willingly ordered one for me, and even price matched the price. The tv even arrived earlier than predicted. Free delivery and over the phone transactions made the whole transaction very easy. On the times I had visited the shop on my quest for a suitable tv over the preceding months, I always found the staff knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Definitely my go to electrical shop.

I was looking for a replacement hob and oven as mine was nearly 20 years old and having spent hours looking at some of the big nationwide retailers out there and getting confused about all the new regulations I decided to call Williams Electrical. I was so glad that I did as I was immediately put at ease by Richard who explained what they can do, he even checked my existing model to make sure the new Neff hob and oven would fit. I placed the order over the phone which ended up costing less than any of the big retailers. Delivery was swift and completely social distanced. The delivery men took away my old appliances and all the packaging and the gas engineer stayed behind to install both appliances. Despite coming across a few issues with the hob installation (all to do with the existing set up) and having to spend 4 hours installing them both, he was polite, reasonably priced for the extra work involved , explained how the appliances work and left the area very clean. Fantastic service from start to finish and I look forward to cooking and baking goodies in my new set up!! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Williams Electrical to anyone and I will be back for a TV later this year. Thank you so much for the fantastic service
Just ordered a Samsung TV from Williams Electrical. The model I ordered was sold out nearby. Williams had the model I wanted and at a discounted price. Initially I was unable to order online as I live outside Williams’ delivery area by quite some distance. I sent them an email to enquire about this and received a very speedy reply from Richard who told me I was welcome to arrange a courier to pick up and they would package up the TV. This is exactly what I did. Richard was even nice enough to find the precise measurements of the boxed TV for me. I needed this for the couriers. All this in the evening and long after closing time. I arranged the courier the next day and then called Williams and spoke to Karen who was equally as helpful. The courier picked up the TV within a couple of hours and as promised was waiting for them all packaged up. I received the TV within 24 hours of initially contacting Williams. Karen and Richard really did go above and beyond what I would expect and I would have no hesitation to recommend such a professional company. Companies like this really do deserve your business. Really appreciate all your help and wish you the best of luck for the future guys.
Ordered Freezer on line Wed 30/12/2020. Received phone call less than 10 mins later to make delivery arrangements. Arranged for Sat 02/01/2021 ( Considering that there was obviously a bank holiday in-between , I considere this to be excellent. Contacted by store first thing on 2 Jan and arrange delivery betwee 11am and 1 pm. Arrived at approx 1240 and was taken into position (Garage) by two very courteous men, wearing masks as required under the present circumstances. All in all an excellent service.

I decided to surprise my parents with a new TV after 12 years of a Panasonic which was still going strong but as they get older their eyesight isn't getting better so a 32" was too small. I knew about Williams as I'm local but always overlooked them thinking you'd get more at a big retailer.... how wrong was I. It was only the misfortune of struggling to get one on the day that brought me to Williams, and I'm glad that the big retailers were struggling to keep stocked because I've just found a right gem! It definitely opens your eyes to start supporting the local family run businesses especially during uncertain times like now. The service you receive is A++++ they actually really care that you was there wanting a product from them. No pressure sales, simple purchase and even had the time to wait with me and talk after the sale whilst waiting for a taxi. They also took it straight to the car without me asking. This is the kind of stuff you miss out on when not supporting your local businesses. I'll be returning to put a smile on my partners face by presenting her a new drier that she's been banging on about but more importantly supporting a local business!

I would say that I am thrifty by nature and usually shop around for most purchases but when it comes to home electricals I don't look anywhere else. After a bad experience with a major retailer ten years ago, I bought my first product from there and the outstanding customer service turned me into a loyal customer on the spot. The sales advisors are knowledgeable and polite, delivery and installation has always been prompt and efficient and they have gone the extra mile when required, for example, helping me to deal with a supplier when my washer broke down and reprinting a copy of a lost receipt to prove warranty. I am not old enough to remember the days of small, independent shops being the norm but I imagine that this is what shopping was like in the good old days that we all hear about.
