Took my car for timing belt to be done was done efficently and resonqble price also advised i needed tracking doing highly recomend lovely bunch of lads who dont rip you off.
First time using Paul Craig Tuning today and was really impressed. Had a timing belt, full service plus front brakes all completed as per quote and really quick. Friendly, knowledgeable and down to earth team. Would definitely recommend and use again.
Man has a rude demanour. Not a friendly person to talk to. Comes across as a pro and makes you think he knows it all while slandering foreign garages for not doing a proper job but did half a job himself !!! I spent over £2000 to get my engine fixed as my timing belt snapped while driving. After job was done my car started leaking alot of oil so took it back to him and he said its from crankshaft seal and he didnt go anywhere near that so he wouldnt help and just fobbed me off. Took it to 2 different garages and they said he should have seen the signs of leakage when he changed the timing belt as the issue will be right in front of his eyes as you open the timing belt casing, therefore it is his job to rectify that problem or at least let you know there is a further problem. But no he didnt. He missed a very very critical issue that will cost me a fortune once again. Edit on 2nd Dec 2025. Response to Paul Craig reply: I did not mention anything about oil leakage before the job was carried out. I mentioned it after the job was carried out and it took me a while to notice the patches on floor was from my car. I called up multiple mechanics and had car checked and they all said the same thing that when he had the engine stripped it is his duty to check all the seals or replace them with new ones and then start the engine to check if there is leakage. I bought an engine off ebay on his advice for £750 and his labour was £1200. He replaced the rockers however he decided it would be a good idea to seal the injectors using silicone. I have noticed there is a leakage from the injectors aswell as the crankshaft seal. For £2000 he should have done a proper job. Definetely taking legal action

I had my timing chain replaced here, but soon after I noticed an oil leak. I changed the oil and filter, but the issue continued, so I went back to Paul. He told me it was only a small leak and asked me to bring the car back so he could fix it. I left the car with him for a whole day, but the problem was never resolved. For over 4 months I kept trying to get another appointment, but every time the excuse was that he was “too busy” for weeks ahead. Eventually, I had no choice but to take my car elsewhere. The new mechanic discovered that the timing chain was not sealed properly and, even worse, the old screws had been reused. That was the real cause of the leak. This mistake cost me a lot of extra money. I honestly believe Paul knew what the issue was but chose not to take responsibility. My advice to new customers: double-check the work, ask for proof the job is done properly, and make sure you have a solid warranty. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this business as trustworthy.

What can I say about these guys apart from absolutely superb. First class service in every way. Diagnosed an engine fault that nobody else could find, they fixed it within a few days (which amazed me) and I was more than happy with the price which was so reasonable. Great service and prices, very helpful and friendly I would recommend 110%. So glad I found these guys.
wouldn't trust him. Ask for our old turbo because the one we had on the van when the wet belt went was only 4 months old and we would get it reconditioned. After taken the turbo to be recondition I was told there was no way the turbo was 4 month old and it had a Chinese core inside. so he kept my 4 month old turbo and returned a old knackered one. Also believe he swapped other parts from the engine.
Paul has looked after our cars for 20 years. I trust him 100%. He can fix anything. He is very reliable fast and fair. I think his work is fantastic and I can highly recommend him and his staff Steve and Andy

I don’t remember many things off by heart, but Paul Craig Tuning is one of them. Fantastic service, incredible speed, a real great guy who tells it like it is and doesn’t cut corners. Wouldn’t be stretching to say Paul saved my bacon by fixing the van I live in the same week I dropped it off, if he hadn’t been able to fix the (pretty trashed) engine I’d of been looking at almost double the price I ended up paying! Very trustworthy, and uncompromising on quality, fully recommend!

Would give 6 stars if I could!!! Timing belt snapped on my car leaving me unable to work for months, was told by another garage that I would need a complete engine replacement and quoted 20 hours of labour. Found Paul Craig Tuning on Google and read the reviews (as always) to find that everyone seemed to have had a good experience, called him and explained the situation, he just laughed and told me to bring the car down. He had extensive knowledge on my engine right on the spot and told me that what was presumed to have broken on the engine was very fixable, and even showed me the parts he was referring to and how they worked. I was told it would be 2 days work. Already happy with the time frame given to me, he called me this morning at 8 o’clock (after only leaving the car there yesterday at dinner time might I add) to tell me to have a listen to my now running engine. I got down to the garage as quickly as I could where he then explained that he had also fitted me some new front break pads, brand new stretch bolts for my injectors, a brand new number plate (as mine had been stolen in the weeks prior) and a part that had gone missing at the last place it was parked up at. Paul and Steve went completely above and beyond and worked into the night to get my car working as it should again, and I’d literally only just met them that day!!! There aren’t enough good people let alone mechanics like these two around anymore, and I genuinely mean that. Absolute diamonds both of you, proper saved my life.

I would highly recommend Paul Craig Tuning. Paul did a fantastic job on my Ecoboost Fiesta when it needed a new wetbelt. Paul was really knowledgeable about all aspects of the work and was very friendly. I was really impressed with how Paul looked after me with the car, you don't get that service at all garages. I will definitely be using Paul Craig Tuning again, and would highly recommend this garage to everyone.
Got my Fiat 500 Twin-air towed here (non-starter) after no other garage would look at it. Paul stated he'd never seen a twin air before but would give it a go. Spent a day taking the engine apart and using a diagnostic tool to identify the issue. He spent two days researching the engine to ensure he could diagnose the issue. Explained to me how the engine works and what the issue was. Unfortunately not something easily remedied (electrical unit fault), so my car is going to be scrapped; but Paul also refused to charge me for his work! I'd recommend him for any engine issues on any car, knows his stuff, looks up what he doesn't know, and gets back to you quickly with answers. Very nice man. Will be going to him again for any faults on any future cars.
Took my car to Paul after it had some serious engine issues, he made an instant diagnosis and was able to fix the issue in less than 48hrs after giving him the keys. Paul went above and beyond to have the car running in an optimal state, would recommend to anyone as he clearly knows what he's talking about and gives outstanding service for great price.

He is an old school mechanic who knows everything about the inner workings of the cars he services. My Dad and I have taken a few cars and vans to Paul over the years and he has always taken really good care of us. He's extremely fair in what he charges and is a master when it come to engines and any other issues we've had. It's nice to deal with a trustworthy mechanic who really knows his stuff.

We had an issue with the Audis turbo. From diagnostic to repair, Paul did a fantastic job. He knows what he's talking about and very experienced in what he does . He takes alot of pride in his work. We're glad we took the car to him. We won't be going anywhere else from now. Thanks Paul
Highly recommend, reliable, helpful, honest, trustworthy. We were told from other garages that our car needed a new engine. Affording a brand new engine or finding a 2nd hand engine for such a young car was proving difficult. We spoke to someone at Vagmonkeys who highly recommended Paul Craig so we gave him a call. From the first phone call Paul was so helpful and it really felt like we had found someone that was going to help us. Paul checked our car over and found some major issues but it wasn’t anything he couldn’t fix, this man knows his stuff about cars and fixing our car has been nothing short of a miracle. Paul has put a lot of work into fixing our car, you can tell Paul is passionate about his job and his main goal is to help fix your car, make it safe and not rip you off, and when you have a young family this is all you want in a mechanic. Paul has really looked after us and we really appreciate everything you have done for us. It’s nice to no there are still some honest, trustworthy people out there. I was Recommend to Paul by another mechanic who didn’t want to do my job and quoted £450 . Paul sorted it . Didn’t give me a quote just said he could do it that day and I needed it done . I told him what I’d been quoted and he laughed . Gulp I thought . He took me in is small office and told me to sit down as he wrote my bill out and his lad brought me a cup of tea . £182. He said with a smile the £2 was for the tea . I’ve since used Paul for my other car and the wife’s car .

Great Mechanic. Great service Paul no matter how busy will go out of his way to help get customers sorted. Reasonably priced and old school. Knows everything there is to know about engines no matter what make or model. Using him now for fifteen years and I wouldn't look any further either for service or price.

Paul has basically mechanically rebuilt my Suzuki super carry Campervan and made it safe and reliable. Always gone the extra mile to find parts as it is a classic car and fit me in straight away and opened up at different times around my work schedule wouldn’t take van anywhere else now really great reliable mechanic who knows his stuff highly recommended :)
