Fantastic removal firm . Moved us from Rhos to Lymm. All work as an excellent team. Polite, friendly and very careful removers ...treat your goods as if they were their own, very carefully indeed. We cant thank them all enough.

The initial survey and quotation process went smoothly, and boxes and packing materials were delivered as promised. The move was planned over three days, covering around 260 miles. On the day of moving out, we walked through the property with the team to confirm what remained to be loaded. Due to a recent medical condition, we planned several stops during the journey. The van arrived on time the next day and unloading began promptly. Most items were placed in the correct rooms. However, the team seemed in a hurry to return the same evening, and by the time they finished it was already dark. We were not offered the opportunity to inspect the lorry to ensure everything had been unloaded. While unpacking, we discovered two hallway rugs were missing. When we called, we were told we should have checked before they left. Later that week, we realised that all of our hand garden tools were also missing, despite being among the first items loaded. Since reporting this, there has been no acknowledgement or resolution. It’s disappointing, as we prefer to support local businesses, but when issues arise, customers should not be left without communication or accountability.

Brilliant service from Johnsons 1871, a very competitive quote and we liked the fact they were a local company to us. On move day the guys were super polite and handled all our possesions with care as well as treating the house with respect. No damages or breakages.

The whole experience was good. The initial survey gave a competitive price. The uncertainty of the house purchase process was handled well. The load went very smoothly and an access problem for unloading handled effectively. The team contacted the neighbours to let them know the van was going to be in their way and the neighbours have all said how friendly the team was. Unloading hit a few problems but the team coped with our changes of mind about where things should go without complaint. Moving house is never going to be an easy experience but Johnsons made it as pleasant as possible.

We had excellent service from Johnsons.. Price was very competitive and firm were very accommodating in terms of dates. We moved on hottest day of the year , and Gaz and Connor worked extremely hard to make the move successful. Viv also sorted all the admin out and liased with us really well

We hired Johnsons for our recent business move and they were excellent from start to finish. It was very well organised. From the warehouse racking and stock, to the office furniture and equipment. They made a big move, stress free. Would highly recommend.

Used Johnsons for an 'inter office' move - it involved moving furniture around an office, up and down different floors and dismantling and rebuilding several sets of tables - the team that came were extremely efficient and able and cheerful with it - can't rate them high enough!

Hired Johnsons 1871 to move equipment from Oxfordshire to Nottinghamshire. They arrived promptly, the communicated thoroughly and helped us take a challenging load of irregular and fragile equipment back to our home institute. I was very happy with the work that they did, I will use them in the future and I would recommend them to others.

Really poor communication. Our chain broke down two weeks before our moving date in Feb but was promptly reinstated with a new completion date of 19th March. Went to rearrange and no slots available. Had we been made aware at the 1hr sales pitch in our house during the quote assessment or even when we called to discuss the chain issue, it would have given us plenty of time to find another company. No mention of this so we are now scrabbling around trying to find a good company while my poor wife has to manage a ten month old baby and I am undergoing extensive hospital treatments. Altogether pretty poor 👎🏻

Johnsons removals were excellent for our house move during 2022. The guys arrived promptly were very courteous including with neighbours as our house was near a junction. The packing of all items was excellent and they went over the top to ensure everything was left in the best possible condition- Excellent & highly recommended.

We had a professional laboratory move with the company from UK to Europe. Initial contact all seemed great. Everything afterwards was a disaster and everything got significantly delayed and much added work. I do not recommend.

I hope people who have used services found them fit for purpose. My experience especially when I don't even need the service is appalling. I fully understand and appreciate the need for advertising,but the attached letter comes across as more of harassment. Since receiving the letter I have been very restless and anxious. I am not sure if someone else in this civilised world has the authority over my free will to decide on my behalf that I have to move . As for me I am hoping to live in my home for a foreseeable future. Please read the attached and share your thoughts. BW.

Johnson's moved us on the 6/2/23 the hole service was 5 star and outstanding . From Paul giving the quote to Tina and Viv helping me with really useful advise. the whole experience was great from start to finish.On the day Gary and the lads arrived on time they were lovely and treated us to a A+++++ service thank you all.Johnsons made a stressful time so much better on the day -- well done. I have no hesitation in recommending them.

The guys here were amazing, especially Blake. We had the full packing and removal service, and they worked their *sses off doing a full 12 hours moving us today. Really friendly guys, went above and beyond to help, despite the nightmare of our awkward staircase and trying their best to squeeze things up. Really professional service and super friendly and helpful guys. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone, and we’ll 100% be using them again next timw we move… although I hope that won’t be for years 🤣

Many breakages and much damage caused by poor packing and careless handling. When we claimed against the insurance we believed was included we were fobbed off and left massively out of pocket. Avoid at all costs.
