C & J Approved Electricians Ltd

Used Julius from C&J electricins for over 25 years for many jobs big and small always done an excellent job wouldn’t use anyone else. Highly recommended with confidence.

Bit of a mixed outcome for me. Julius was extremely helpful, even reviewing the previous landlord's EICR report that I suspected might have been dodgy because it was completed seemingly too quickly with no faults whereas Julius found faults this time. It was a competitive price for the inspection report. Things then went about wrong. I had to chase an appointment with him weeks later several times for the remedial work to be booked in (I decided to try one more time and only then got to speak to him). Perhaps he'd been away and was catching up, so that's no problem, but knowing how long the remedial work took, the conclusion is that I was quoted and charged emergency call out rate for half a day of scheduled work. Either that, or his rate is actually very high. When I questioned his hourly rate, I was fobbed off with the answer of prices being quoted per job. But surely every tradesperson has a standard hourly rate and would be happy to confirm what it is for transparency? Additionally, the quote was just a price. Not itemised at all despite two electrical parts being required. Again, that's no transparency. Of course, from the customer's point of view, when they are relatively locked into using a supplier ie can't easily get another quote / use someone else because the EICR certificate needs to be rectified, this approach and experience is unacceptable. I feel like I've been over charged because I was captive and because all evidence (time taken and no transparency) suggests it. There's no signs that Julius would need to over-charge customers considering there was a two week lead time for the remedial work to be done, and no proactively from him to get it booked in, so all in all, it seems that he, or the company, is somewhat unethical.

We’ve used Julius from this company on many occasions and found his work excellent. No job is too small or too large. Always punctual and friendly, would recommend him always

We've had a few wall usb sockets and a couple of ceiling lights put up. We've also had our electrics checked around the house, and C&J have been excellent. Brilliant workmanship, reliable and tidy. Can't ask for more.

Excellent electrician. Very knowledgeable, very detailed and thorough. Reliable and honest. I have used C&J for many years for residential and commercial electrical work and they have always done a first class job and never let me down. Highly recommended

C&J Approved Electricians did another great job for me. I urgently needed and EICR certificate for my property and Julius was very quick to respond and fit me in. He is very knowledgeable and helpful with all legal requirements if you have rentals. I wouldn't hesitate in hiring C&J again. Thankyou!

Very professional and reliable would absolutely recommend

Julius provided a professional service from the first point of contact through to the completion of the electrical work in our kitchen. He responded quickly to our initial enquiry and assessed the work to be done. This was carried out the following week on a mutually convenient day and there were no hidden costs. Julius was punctual, approachable, knowledgeable and efficient. We will definitely be asking him to carry out additional electrical work for us and are very happy to recommend him.

Excellent Workmanship, great value very thorough and professional, arrived promptly. I fully recommend the business.

Since moving into my new house in May, I have used this company. Julius is so knowledgeable and always gives the best possible advice. I wouldn't dream of ever using anyone else and I give him my highest recommendation.

Arrived on time and did the work (installing an electric cooker) cleanly and quickly. I would recommend, and probably use their services again.

Found him to be an very good electrician certainly knows what he is doing cannot recommend him enough

Spoke with the electrician first thing in the morning, requested that I forwarded further information. So I did along with the PDF instruction manual for the system, can’t help more without doing the job myself. No response for 10 hours, electrician called after a second message, the electrician didn’t even read the provided information then asked me to explain again and hung up on me. Called back incase it was the line, however it was left ringing and went to answerphone. Happy not to do business with such a bad introductory service.

Good service, good price and always good to work with. Thanks C&J
