Two werks ago I discovered the main water stopcock in my house was leaking. I had no idea how long it had been like it. At the same time the power socket RCD was tripping out. The plumber couldn't call for a few days. So I called Darren at Horton Electrical who arranged to call round the next morning. He isolated all of the power sockets that were tripping the RCD. And leaving me with the kitchen, lounge and all upstairs sockets working. So I was very happy. He concluded that the water had run along the under floor timbers and caused the problem. Following the plumber repairing the water leak. Darren returned to conclude the electrical repair and reconnected the offending power sockets. And today everything is back to normal. I cannot thank Darren enough for his skill and knowledge in identifying and resolving the problem. I highly recommend him and Horton Electrical.

We found Darren through his many excellent recommendations on Nextdoor.co.uk and we weren't disappointed. He was punctual, charged a fair price for supplying and fitting a security light and he even rectified and waterproofed some previous questionable junction box wiring without being asked. Also, he's a really nice guy and we would thoroughly recommend him!
Darren's work cannot be faulted, he came to do an electrical check after we had recently bought our house. There was already a couple of faults that needed sorting out, one being a power socket not working. Our kitchen is quite old and Darren spent time searching out a socket plate that matched the rest of the kitchen, and it matches perfectly. He was very diligent in his work, very prompt, tidy, efficient and pleasant and not even stopping for a cuppa!! He is also very thoughtful and kindly moved some furniture up our very steep narrow stairs for us while we were out of sight. He must have realised we were a little worried about this and kindly took the initiative to help us out.
