Ahmed did a fantastic job today installing 2 ceiling fans with integrated lights to replace existing standard light fittings, one of which needed to be moved to a new location without pre-existing wiring. It was easy and quick to get a quote for the work, communication was straightforward and everything went smoothly on the day. I have previously also had an EICR inspection report done by Ahmed, as I wanted to check the safety of existing electrics when purchasing my flat. He did a good job of this too, and was able to answer all my questions about the existing wiring and fittings. It’s not always easy finding tradespeople who are happy to work in city centre locations and high rise flats with restricted parking, but this wasn’t a problem here at all! If you need some electrical work done, I would highly recommend hiring Ahmed to take care of the job! :)
Needed a buzzing plug socket sorted. Ahmed was able to come round really quickly and sort it for me. Also gave lots of helpful and money-saving advice on some other electrical jobs too. Really friendly, honest and trustworthy guy. Happily recommended.

Ahmed came to install 2 chandeliers, one which was above a void 1st floor above a staircase. Ahmed worked around the difficult logistical challenges and managed to complete a very difficult job for a reasonable price. He was with us for 1/2 day putting up 2 complex and heavy light fittings. Brilliant service and I would use Ahmed again.

I was recommended this electrician by a friend. After reading all the 5 star reviews too, I decided to contact him and videos of the electrical issues I was experiencing and needing a electrical safety certificate too. He eventually got back to a few days later with excuses of being ill and he will get in touch. Gave him the benefit of the doubt and contacted him again a few days later, again he eventually got in touch and said he's having staffing issues and will give me a quote by Wednesday.....the last contact was 27th October and he's still not contacted me back and provided a quote. Hence 1 star. This isn't a fake review either. This is someone who wanted to give the job to a local business rather a national business. So if you want to be messed around this business is perfect 👌

I contacted Plug Electrical Services and spoke to Ahmed, who asked me to send a little video pointing out the various little jobs I needed doing around the house and garden. Installing 2 external sockets, replacing a broken socket and a couple of light switches, fixing another socket and installing an extractor fan in the bathroom. He provided me with a very reasonable written quote the next day. Within 2 weeks he was round doing the work. He was really thorough but very efficient and just got on with the tasks on the list until they were all completed without any fuss or problems. I was really happy with his work and his prompt communication from the initial contact to completion of the job. Thanks Ahmed, will definitely be in touch for future work and will fully recommend you to anyone in need of a quality electrician.
I had a couple of new sockets installed as well as some tweaks to the electrics. The quality of work was excellent and really efficient- would recommend to anyone in the south Manchester area!
Have used Plug for a few bits of work done now, from small cosmetic tweaks to larger checks and a fuseboard replacement. Been really happy with the quality of all, the price, and the friendliness of those doing the work. I recently had some issues with my immersion heater electrics. Called late on a Tuesday night and by Wednesday morning the guys were here to fix the problem. Really friendly and professional guys. Ahmed has been amazing from the minute he came to our house on an emergency call out a week ago, the fuse had completely gone and we had no electricity atall, previous electricians couldn’t seem to identify the problem when the fuse kept tripping intermittently, Ahmed was able to identify the problem and did a temporary fix for us until he could return today to complete the work, it was a complex job but he has fixed it for us and he’s done the job perfectly, he tidied up afterwards and even hoovered up any dust, he was here for hours working really hard, such a kind, friendly, knowledgable man who has kept us informed of all the work he has done, thank you so much Ahmed we will highly recommend you to anyone, keep up the good work, 10/10 from us!!

Plug , excellent company ,only message yesterday and came out today thought only needed a new box fitting for heating but took the front of it off and showed how bad the wires were , so he replaced it and sorted the wires out , recommend any day , now I know who I would have & recommend regarding other jobs I need doing

Called Plug with an emergency first thing in the morning. They arrived within 45min. Explained everything in detail. Suggested further work that needed to be carried but advised waiting until the leaky bathroom was fixed to avoid repairing twice. Nice & pleasant. Would use again

Just used plug for an emergency call out on some DIY gone wrong. They came within an hour on a Sunday evening, identified what the problem was quickly, and then also offered to help with any other electrical tasks given we were paying for the hour. I called out of hours and he immediately answered and listened to my request. I had an issue of safety and security as we didn’t have a main light covering our gate and entrance to our property. The gentleman drove down within 20 minutes and fixed me a brand new light. The brightest I’ve seen. He actually spend extra time in the job in order to deal with some complications relating to old wiring and I would thoroughly recommend him. He replaced the very old consumer unit and checked and repaired and rerouted some faulty connections in order to ensure that all the sockets were corrected wired. He took my call late at night and was so helpful, as I was quite concerned about it.He visited first thing the next day and identified the issue and tested the lights and fixed the switch.I wouldn't hesitate in recommending. I will definitely be using his services again. He also took time out of his day to also check our burglar alarm and recommended what was required to fix it.

Ahmed was efficient, reliable and tidy. First brought him in to fit spotlights ahead of a new kitchen install and brought him back in on three other occasions. His prices were reasonable and itemised, he arrived on time and left the place cleaner than when he arrived even when working in what felt like a building site. Was also able to trust him with a key and he sent videos of completed work to make sure I was satisfied. Would definitely hire again.

Couldn’t rate The Plug Electrical Services highly enough. Came very quickly to fix an emergency which turned out to be a nightmare job. Worked late into the night without complaint and stuck with it when many electricians would have given up. Very friendly, great work effort and a good price.

These guys saved my day! Working from home can be hard, but when you have no power... gets even tougher. Kids were complaining as I had no TV and neither could I charge their iPads. Anyway, they are local so I thought I'd give them a call, was quick fix... but they got me up and running again and it didn't cost me an arm and a leg!

I called this company for an emergency fitting late at night, as some of the plugs and switches in my home seemed to be giving me a shock even when switched off! The gentleman arrived within 30 mins despite the time, and diagnosed the problem straight away. The previous electrician had used incorrect fuses and left some earth wires exposed. The gentleman rewired the electrics and checked every other plug and switch in our home to ensure they worked correctly. Happy with the professional service and this chap’s friendly attitude.
