Contacted Alastair as had seen good reviews on the Neighbourhood site where a number of local people had used Alastair of A H Electrics Ltd (not to be confused with AH Electrics.co.uk which is a different company). On first calling, spoke to Alastair and arranged a visit to show what electrical work we required. Alastair was very professional and understood everything we wanted. He gave clear guidelines of what was and was not possible to comply with building regulations as some electrical work in bathroom and very specific rules needed to be adhered to in order to be compliant for minor works certificate to be issued. Alastair is reliable, and conscientious, arriving when agreed and on time. He also accommodated a delay on our part for our second fix as we were governed by other works being completed first. Would highly recommend.

Alastair has put in a new fusebox and done some other jobs like repairs, switches & sockets for my new kitchen recently. We chose him because whilst I was getting quotes from 3 companies, Alastair was the only electrician who actually carefully noted each requirement, he also advised us on electrical fittings to buy (we wanted to source some specific style), he checked our shopping list, he was very good at communication throughout and just really reliable. He answered our questions throughout and showed up on time. He delivered what we asked for. I’d hire him again for future jobs and highly recommend him.

Came across AH Electrics on Google after needing some urgent electrics sorted for our garden renovations which included LED lights, new plug socks and an outdoor cable installed. Alastair responded quickly to our initial query and was open and honest about all costs required for the work. He’s super professional, knowledgeable and an all round nice guy! Spoke to Alastair about getting an ECIR for a new rental property & he was really efficient & quick about getting out to me, really knowledgeable & answered a couple of other questions I have whilst he was there even though he was busy.
