As Freeholders of a small bock of flats in SW London, we commissioned in 2023 a Fire Safety Risk Assessment from London City Fire Limited [LCF], our retained fire safety contractors. Having digested their comprehensive report, which reflected the updated legislation introduced following the Grenfell Tower fire, we asked LCF to implement the major recommendation in that report, which was to replace all flat front doors and doorframes in the block with newFD-30-compliant door sets. This proved a protracted process, not least due to the need to follow the Landlord & Tenant Act's Section 20 procedure, further complicated by the struggle to achieve consensus among the Leaseholders. Nonetheless, in the end, thanks to LCF's professionalism and patience, the project was completed over a three-week period in May 2024. The secret to our success was careful planning and strict adherence to the agreed schedule. In delivering the outcome on time and successfully, LCF's small team acted professionally throughout, were courteous, hard-working and flexible in their execution. The challenging task of removing the old doors and frames, their replacement with new items (with all of the legislation-demanded fixtures and fittings), followed by painting and making good was completed to a very high standard. Not only that, but the team complied with Health & Safety requirements throughout AND left the site cleaner than when they started! We would therefore have no hesitation in recommending London City Fire Limited.

LCF were really great to work with from start to finish, clear and communicative when arranging and booking in the works and the guys carrying out the works were quick and efficient and very friendly. Would highly recommend.

London City Fire did an excellent job for me recently, installing linked mains smoke alarms in a listed house. Their initial survey and quote was very detailed and professional and I felt was fairly priced. Linards and his assistant were punctual and polite, explained clearly what they were doing and how the system worked, and cleaned up perfectly. The installation work was exceptionally neat and I would certainly recommend the company.

LCF have been looking after our building (a late Victorian house converted into seven flats) for over ten years now. They installed an excellent wireless system along with emergency lights and fire extinguishers in 2014 after extensive consultation beforehand and about a year later helped with new fire doors to the Flats. All that work was done extremely well and they have maintained our system ever since, always rising to the occasion when problems emerged. Their engineers are friendly and knowledgeable (and always arrive on time!) and their office staff equally so. For anyone contemplating installation or servicing of fire alarm equipment LCF should be the 'go to' firm. Don't even think of going anywhere else!

LCF were hired to bring an existing fire door up to current specification - which involved changing hinges, fitting intumescent strips and a door closer. The LCF team arrived exactly on time, carried out the work in a few hours and cleared up after themselves - leaving no mess. They were incredibly quiet and polite. After a couple of weeks we were finding the tension on the door closer too strong. They arranged to return to adjust at no charge. The adjustment involved a couple of hours work and once again did a mess free job. Recommend them highly.

London City Fire have carried out various fire safety work on my London flat. I can't recommend them highly enough. They are highly responsive, very professional and pleasant to deal with, carry out work of the highest quality and all at extremely good rates. Many thanks to the team at London City Fire!

not my recommendation for this company. it is a very an respect the services. I have appointment with the re service for my distinguished bottles from 9:00am to 12:00; i had call the office the first time which they said the service will be on time. the second call, i made at 12:20pm to the office. 12:30 the engineers call me back to said an apology because he been in the other job & asked me waiting for next 25 minutes to calling me back to say “ which he come in or not, because he still have the other job after” today is 18/01/2023. definitely, confused 🤔!

From start to finish London City Fire were brilliant. I required a Fire safety assessment to be completed urgently and was quickly quoted and booked in. A gentleman called Adrian kept me up to date pre arrival and on the day completed the risk assessment. He was fantastic, very knowledgeable, very time efficient and a friendly guy. I would like to thank him for the job he did, where other companies had let us down. I would 100% recommend London City Fire

A Very professional company from start to finish. Chloe in the office was very helpful and updated me throughout the installation. Eddie and Adam, the engineers on site, were committed throughout to maintain their social distancing in our workplace, which certainly helped make the whole installation a very stress free time.
