Luckily they sent me this amazing guy called Darryl Nobel , he I was such a gentleman , with a great energy and put me in complete piece of mind . Boyd, the PHD. engineer has been absolutely amazing. He definitely has years of experience that certainly paid off today. Previous two BAXI engineers were an absolute waste of time. They just showed up, took pictures, and said the job could not be done missing parts, etc. Boyd, on the other hand, He asked about the issues, actually looked at the tank, electrics and everything, listened to the tank, used his knowledge and expertise, and fixed the problem. Very pleasant, knowledgeable gentleman who was not in a rush to pass off the job but was interested in solving the issue because of his years of experience he was able to diagnose the problem and solve it. Thank you, Boyd, we now have hot water. Excellent work ethics and fantastic customer service. Great employee and an asset to PHD mechanics company reputation 👏

Alex and Blake were really great, they sorted out our shower really quickly and put in a report to have the problem solved more long term. They also explained what had happened in a way that was easily understandable and what to look out for while we were waiting for the long term fix.

Josh was fantastic! He arrived on time, explained everything clearly, and carried out the work with real professionalism. He made sure everything was running perfectly before leaving and was friendly and approachable throughout. Great service from Josh and the whole PHD Mechanical team - highly recommended!

Visited today by Plumber Chris who, was excellent, helpfull, explained it great detail everything that the previous chap had not. Fixed the issue very satisfactory and couldn't praise Chris highly enough.

A horrible experience with this company .STAY AWAY! I got invoices which show the total bill amount is over £2200, because of the 14 "units" of work. This is a commercial fraud. I asked for my shower to be fixed as there was no hot water. The first engineer came and tried to check the heater and told me that he can't fix it as there was a special part that needed to be replaced. The next day, another engineer came, yet he could still not fix the problem. He was then followed by a third engineer. Someone then came for about 15 minutes, someone else then came twice on different days. What's the point if you send people who cannot fix the problem, but they just appear at random, and then I get charged for it?! So I had at least 6 or 7 different engineers come to my flat, who tried to fix the problem and all failed. No one told/notified me, there would be a charge for each visit, regardless of whether anything was fixed. I assumed (naively) that I would be charged for a qualified and experienced engineer to actually fix the problem, rather than having to pay for a plethora of engineers, who clearly had no idea how to fix the problem. The first engineer couldn't fix it, and then more new equally unqualified people kept coming, did nothing and yet I am somehow expected to pay for this?! This is truly just commercial fraud. And another mess is that, the number of units I am being charged aren't even all for my "work"on my flat - They (PHD)have consolidated one person's work on multiple flats onto one invoice and billed me for the total! That clearly is fraud! I sent a couple emails to the director of PHD, which they did not reply to instead insisting that they wanted to discuss the case over the phone. However each time we agreed on a time to call, and I called, the Director was suddenly unavailable. They also kept changing the person in charge of this issue, and now there is no further response from this company. It's been a year time now , none of these problems (heater and invoices) solved. Nightmare !

Chris and Ted were a fantastic team today. Working as an autonomous team, Chris was really passionate about his job, and it was great to see him pragmatically explaining to his apprentice Ted how he was proceeding with his work. PHD Mechanical is not impressive at all. Boilers in the communal heating plant, which managed by them were all gone in the middle of cold weather. They provided an invoice for reapir that requires new parts, which is 30% higher than other quotes. Find another company to look and the boilers were backto work without change any parts. Be aware of it.
