I have used Essential Repairs Ltd for many years. They are an excellent company for all aspects of maintenance and repairs to a domestic property - whether a rental or owner occupied. They are efficient, effective with an experienced workforce.

Booked them in to replace an old radiator and install a new bathroom sink tap. The first engineer did a neat job replacing the radiator but I had to call them back as both valves were leaking onto the carpet. The return engineer was over an hour and a half late, no communication from them to say they were running late, and no answer when I called to query where they were.

I've used Essential Repairs twice to replace taps and they've done an outstanding job on both occassions. They didn't just replace the taps, but also made additional improvements to make the job easier next time and left areas around the sink in a clean and tidy state as well. I can tell they really know their stuff and would look to use them for any future plumbing jobs.

Sebastian did a splendid job of jet washing our paving and fixing bits of pointing. He came back within a couple of days to do some additional cleaning of the pointing. Good value. Will certainly use them again.

I was happy that the pleasant plumber was able to fix my shower, but wish he had discussed with me the fact that it was not possible to change the water temperature.

I can comment on the communications with Essential Repairs and it was first class. I cannot comment on the work completed because I was not at the property but this is what my tenant had to say. "As you know by now, the gas engineer has been, but I  thought I'd give you an update on things. Firstly, the pump has been swapped and now works as intended and is a lot quieter than the old one. He also did his bit on the boiler and in addition to exchanging the new part, he discovered that one of the under sink water supply taps was not working, it had scaled up, so he has replaced it with a lever and as a result of both of these jobs, the pressure is sitting at 1.4 - 1.5 bar when cold. Overall, he was very thorough and professional. Give him 5 stars!"

Due to a previous flood in my flat, my underfloor heating packed in a couple of years later. The insurers told me they would foot the bill so I contacted Essential Repairs. They come in and ran a couple of tests and quoted me a very reasonable price. They came in and identified the reason for the problem (turned out to be a leaking pipe) and fixed it. Proceeded to dehumidify the room and once that was done, replaced the underfloor heating and replaced my flooring. The finished job was, excellent both aesthetically and functionally. Also came in below the originally quoted price because they were able to save money but not putting items into storage given that is was unnecessary. An outstanding job done on time and at a very good price. Would absolutely recommend their services to anyone getting work done.

Brilliant service, I messaged them them on Monday and someone arrived by 10am the next day. Works carried out professionally and exactly as we wished. They also followed up to check I was happy with the works which was a nice touch. Highly recommend.
