Despite the sales pitch, Boxergy systems ( battery) are NOT supported by some power companies such as Octopus so you cannot get the best rates for power storage. Thus you end up paying more £££ and much fewer in savings. Check the supplier first before committing!

Adam from Boxergy was great, very knowledgeable and helping. He sorted out the service of my heat pump and was very professional. Ellie was great at coordinating the whole booking and guided me through the process. Definitely would recommend Boxergy.

Requiring further information on use of our heat pump, Adam turned up promptly, checked out the settings made some adjustments for better efficiency explaining clearly the steps he was taking, finally showing me how to work with the controller in the future.

I found Boxerg good to deal with in the sales process but the post install support has been really poor. So much so that I couldn’t possibly warn you enough to think carefully before trusting them with your money. They don’t return calls, they eventually send engineers who don’t fix things and don’t ever come back nd their support service is both difficult to engage with and incredibly slow. I’ve currently been waiting weeks and weeks with no working heat pump for a repair.

The installation of our home battery system was outstanding. The engineers arrived on time, worked efficiently, and kept everything neat and organised throughout. Since the installation, the battery has been performing flawlessly. Chloe was excellent in sorting out any questions which we had. We’ve seen a clear improvement in how we manage our electricity, especially during peak hours. The system runs quietly, and the monitoring app is easy to use. Overall, the quality of workmanship and customer service was excellent. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone considering a home battery installation.”

The 4th service since the installation of our Valliant Heatpump system and the 1st using Boxergy. By some margin the most comprehensive service so far. Technician gave the external heatpump a deep clean in addition to a full check of all components and controls. Technician was punctual, professional and polite. Explained what was involved in his approach to servicing. Checked all settings and made efficiency adjustments where required. We have struggled to find a reliable and consistent servicing provider and pleased we found Boxergy. Very highly recommended.

Just had our first annual service from Boxergy. Adam was prompt and friendly- all sorted. Very happy with the air source heat pump.

First Hybrid heat pump and gas boiler service from Boxergy today. Adam was very polite and efficient and also explained more about how run the system in the most economical way which was great.

Initial interactions were positive and service engineer was very helpful. Unfortunately Boxergy have been unreliable, difficult to contact and unable to help in an emergency. If you want cheap basic servicing then fine, but if you want peace of mind to have a contract with a company who will be available in an emergency, I would look elsewhere.

Only one star because from January my heat pump installation is unfinished. This company don't know how setup pump to fully working.Thay sent engineer to check, he recognizes job was done incorrectly .My heater tunk desinfectin system is still no working !!!! I contacted with boxsergy but still waiting .no answer for email.

Boxergy have repeatedly failed to complete my install, communicated poorly, and left me out of pocket and worse off than before the work started. I was originally told my heat pump and battery install would be completed together over two days, with everything finished by the end of the week, but weeks later the work is still not complete. The heat pump install overran, the anti‑legionella controller has still not been fitted, and the battery installation and commissioning keep getting pushed back with no clear plan. I was informed that a missing part was being overnight couriered, only to be told later that this meant a two‑week delay, and even when an electrician did finally return he arrived without the cables that were supposedly the only thing preventing completion. These delays mean I cannot claim my Home Energy Scotland funding yet, I am paying significantly higher energy bills because I cannot use the cheaper rate periods as intended, and I am effectively worse off than before the work started. Communication has been extremely poor throughout: I have repeatedly had to chase for basic updates, dates have slipped without explanation, and promises to “keep in contact the whole process” have not been kept. Given the cost of the system and the impact on my household (including being without proper heating with a pregnant wife at home), this level of organisation and aftercare is completely unacceptable, and I regret choosing Boxergy as a supplier

We are very happy with Adam and service we had done on our system today, we have had the system for around 10 years and we have had it serviced a few times over the years but the last few years it has been hard to get the company out to services them but my wife has said today the Adam had told a lot more today than the fitters that fitted them and the company that had been servicing them so thanks very good. I have left this review to almost the year after the install as to give a wider more accurate review of the company. Everyone at the company is professional and nothing can be too big a job to get the job done. They really do want you to be happy. I mean the scaffolding company came the day before install and broke a good few of my tiles and Boxergy replaced every single one. The problem come after the install and after they have your money. I have been having issues with my battery and was put InTouch with the specialist who said he would be in touch, 4 weeks later and I had to phone him up to be told he forgot and would get Alpha ESS to call to reset my battery. This fixed it for about a month and then the battery started to discharge right before midnight. Phoned again to be told I would get a call back which never happened. Forward a few months and I contacted Boxergy again to be told they were to busy and since my system wasn’t broken to get in touch with Alpha. Remember I paid £25000 to do this myself. And now to top it all off I now have to look for a company that can service both my heat pump and battery and solar as Boxergy can’t do it. Install before you pay your money-perfect. After you have handed it over-………..I’ll let you fill this in with you own words. A wee update: So when your frustrated you write reviews like this. I took one person not to get back to me for me to feel like this. The team at Boxergy ARE great but and I feel that they are under a lot of pressure. I have changed my 2 star to a 4 star review as 2 doesn't reflect the rest of the teams effort to keep customers happy. I would say that maybe the people at the top have to help with that pressure..... Anyway, thanks to Emma, Kirsty and especially Alex who services my system. I will be taking out my service with Boxergy as I trust this team of people who communicate well with me....

Contact and installation were OK, installer of panels was trying his luck changing the layout to make his afternoon easier. Aftersales is extremely poor, wrong breaker was installed which was extremely charred when we found out. 3.5 months ago our EV charger stopped working. It took weeks before a electrician came to check the fault. First thing he did was take the live wire and cause a short in the house. He eventually determined the charger was faulty. Boxergy claims it contacted the supplier for a new unit, and is chasing it up 'daily' (which is taking months now). We have to keep chasing them, no spontaneous communication from their side, absolutely ridiculous. The amount of time and money spent on public charging places is mounting up considerably. Just order a new unit and discuss with supplier afterwards, incredibly customer unfriendly.

I had a service conducted this week by Adam. He took time to explain what was being done. He attended on a previous occasion providing advice on how to save money on energy bills, which has saved me a substantial amount per month!

Adam did a great job showing me how all the controls for the heat pump could be set up for the most efficient operation. He was able to demonstrate how a couple of aspects of the installation were causing suboptimal performance. It was really useful to have all the practical input right down to entering the Octopus tarrifs shown on my phone. The heat pump service market seems to be thinly served so it's great that someone is taking this seriously.

Recently I installed solar panels, battery and heat pump. Since 1st day, Boxergy staff was helpfull and clarified my queries. Very quick doing all the background work (licenses, plans), and helping me with all papers for the governmental funding grant. Installation on the day that we agreed, and after 2 busy days, everything was installed! Everything left clean and tidy, an amazing job. There was a small issue with my new battery (online settings), but that was fixed easily by the amazing staff that your company have. Well done to all!

Very pleased to have Adam service my Vaillant heat pump. Very thorough, informative and full of advice on how to tweak my system to get the most out of it. Much more for your money than my previous service which seemed nowhere near as thorough. I’d highly recommend Boxergy as a result.

I would highly recommend after the successful installation of my EV Charger into an existing GIV Energy solar PV system and battery.

Back in March I had a PV solar system (9 Panel System & 10.1kWh Battery) installed. Like most people I searched the web for several weeks obtaining information on company web sites, details and reviews. I eventually narrowed it down to two, so I emailed the companies with annotated photos of my roof areas to assist with the installation quote. Both companies returned with a similar quote, but Boxergy’s head office was in Scotland (thought of dealing with a third party if there was any difficulties was not on my agenda) & an extra panel was included in the design. The original quote was 9 panels and 4kWh Battery. (Deals to upgrade to 8kWh and 10kWh batteries) Survey was completed by Robert in a professional manner, and he explained the work details of the proposed installation. One problem I had was finding a place to house the Inverter and battery. (type of house, no cupboards and loft converted) After several emails containing annotated photos and conversations with Siobhan (& the engineering team) on several areas of the house it was finally agreed the system (PV inverter & battery) will have to be installed on the north external wall. With the location of the system agreed, I also requested to upgrade the battery size, Siobhan promptly emailed a revised quote. At the start of the installation, Robert and his team introduced themselves and informed me of what the installation works entailed. The installation went on for a few days as there were other circumstances involved, (Training time I agreed to) and the electrician Darren was not available until the following week. During the installation there were a couple of issues, (cabling/damage to fixings of inverter) but these were dealt with in a professional manner. The only negative issue that I would say is the “Access” part of the quote, I think any third party costs should be itemised (whether it be scaffolding/safety permits etc) not a fixed item, after all the installation and equipment costs are a substantial amount. Since commissioning (31st March) all systems/components have been working perfectly so far and we are very pleased with their performance. Following the installation, my project (as discussed with the team) was to build a cover for the external PV equipment to provide extra protection from the elements, guys job done. (see attached photos) Anyway, I would highly recommend the Boxergy Team (from sales/installation/engineering/commissioning) for all PV Systems.

While the engineers who installed the system were professional and efficient, communication from the office initially fell short – leading to radiator sizing issues that left our home too cold. Thankfully, Sam stepped in and resolved everything with professionalism and care. He listened and addressed our concerns, as well as kept us informed throughout the process, scheduled work around our availability, and ensured minimal disruption. We were extremely happy with our solar and heat pump installation from Boxergy. We found Ben and his team to be straightforward to deal with and everything promised was delivered. Like most people we needed information on the subject rather than pushy salespeople and Boxergy were able to provide answers every step of the way. We're happy with the service: fair price, good system, and fitted well. We did have a delay over a few months, from our first proposed fitting date, which was because of poor weather meaning that some work couldn't be done on the roof (high winds; heavy rain). But when the work was done, they were very careful and kept us up to date about all that was happening, and we're now very happy with how our solar was fitted and how it works for our house. Recommended!

Boxergy recently completed a full install for us in the Scottish Borders, fitting solar panels, a battery and air source heat pump. The customer service and support was brilliant all the way through. We did have a few hickups with the heat pump install but they rectified everything without any hassle. There are a lot of dodgey looking installs out there but Boxergy seemed to do a really good job and were very patient when it came to waiting for home energy scotland funding and working around our rural location. Rosie, Siobhan, Kirsty, John, Reece, Elliot and the rest of the team were a pleasure to deal with. I feel confident with their garauntees and service plans that they’ll keep everything running smoothly in the future.

Boxergy came and installed some antifreeze valves to our ASHP system. We previously had glycol for frost protection, however this was prone to cause leaks at every joint within the system. They also installed some automatic air valves, which were faulty due to debris contamination in our system, and serviced our ASHP during the same visit. Additionally, we have entered into a service plan with Boxergy for added reassurance and value. The work was carried out efficiently by the engineer, who was able to suggest an effective solution for installing the frost protection to our system. We received excellent customer care and reassurance from both the back office and the engineer who visited us. I would highly recommend anyone looking to service, maintain or installing a ASHP to consider Boxergy.

I cannot recommend this company highly enough. I contacted Boxergy to service my hybrid heat pump . The staff in the office were very helpful which gave me a great first impression. Adam, their engineer, conducted their service and, was an absolute pleasure to deal with. The equipment is still fairly new to me but Adam took time to share his expertise and answer any questions that I had. Infact, he was even more helpful than the company who installed it. I was impressed with his knowledge, thoroughness and care and attention to detail while carrying out the service. We had a heat pump, solar panels and home battery installed a couple of years ago from Boxergy and have used them to service the HP. Adam was our engineer for an annual service and he was very helpful on giving me tips on how best to get the most of of the heating system.

Boxergy’s service is excellent throughout - from our first phone-call with Emma to book the service appointment and set up a service plan, through to their service engineer Adam whowas highly experienced and extremely efficient and tidy. He explained several aspects of the system previously unknown, which will hopefully save us some money throughout the year. We highly recommend Boxergy and have already shared our experience on several Scottish Borders Facebook pages so hopefully some more business will transpire for them.

After having a slow and poor experience with a well known energy supplier who wouldn't listen to my requirements for a solar install I cancelled it and was recommended Boxergy by my neighbour. Right from the initial online enquiry I was contacted by a member of staff who asked for some details and a few photos of my house which I sent out and within a day I had a report to say that there shouldn't be any issues with what I wanted and was given a very competitive quote. I was then given the next steps which were straight forward and a face to face survey was carried out at my property. It was mentioned that I could fit more panels if I wished which I did as the quote was still within the ballpark price from the previous energy supplier. After it was all arranged and the paperwork completed which was carried out by the office staff and each step explained at the same time it took 5 weeks from start to finish for my system to be installed. The installers were curtious and professional as was the electrical sub contractor and it took 2 and a half days to complete with no mess and no fuss. There were a few teathing issues to begin with but these we're quickly rectified by the Boxergy tech team. Thanks to all the team for keeping ping me in the loop throughout each stage and for a stress free project.

Great first year service experience, Adam was really helpful with reviewing how the whole system was setup, performing, and took us through settings and adjustments to improve the efficiency further. Highly recommended!

18 months after our solar install our roof started leaking. An independent roof survey revealed the entire solar panel install was flawed leaving weak points all over the roof. The solution from Boxergy was a "quick fix" in a couple of hours that didn't solve the leak and we have had to have the entire job redone to guarantee good standards at our own expense. Absolutely appalling workmanship. Look elsewhere.

We were very impressed with the professionalism of the Boxergy team. We were kept fully informed of the process and the whole installation went almost to plan. When something did go wrong, Boxergy responded immediately to rectify the issue. In the month since installing we have reduced our electricity consumption from the grid by 75%.

Yearly service was undertaken on time to high standard with clear communication. Adam answered few questions we had and explained ASHP settings.

Boxergy did the installation of my 6.1KW Solar System. It was a pleasure to have them do the install. Kirsty contacted me well in advance to talk about the location of the inverter and battery and helped answer many questions that I had. On the day of the install, Robert and Neil got to work installing the panels on the roof and had finished by the afternoon. They were professional and courteous again not minding the lots of questions I had. Meanwhile Jack the electrician did all the internal wiring of the inverter , consumer unit and the batteries. If I had to do it all again, I would definitely still use Boxergy. I did buy my kit from an external company but the install was subcontracted out to Boxergy. An amazing Team !

Been thinking about solar and batteries for a while now . Had a few quotes and decided to settle for "Boxergy" The process was so streamlined and so easy for someone as precise as myself . From that first call to Siobhan (who in turn turned out we knew each other through a previous position). She was most helpful and guided me along the way . Then came the install planning with Rosie and team . Again so streamlined . The installers were fantastic so neat and tidy . And impeccable manners which is a big plus in my books . Manners coat nothing . They worked tirelessly for the day to get it done and they did . I am very happy with my install and have been recommending Boxergy to my friends and family . Great service .

Our engineer, Adam, was extremely helpful and took the time to explain how the system works in more detail than I had after the installation. He listened to our teething problems and issues (which were mainly related to the way our plumber had installed the ufh and radiator upstairs) and took the time to investigate and either solve our problems or suggest potential solutions to others. Very pleased with the service today!

Just had Adam from Boxergy carry out my 1st years service on my Boxergy installed ASHP. He was very knowledgeable, thorough and always happy to explain what they are doing and why. He's also always happy to assist with tips and guidance on getting your system set up just right for you. I've had a great experience with Boxergy since agreeing to install PV panels, batteries and an ASHP and their staff are a testament to what Boxergy are trying to do in the renewable energy market.

The workmen arrived early morning and on time and got straight to work. They got the job finished within the day and made sure to clean up after themselves and left it looking great. Everything is working perfectly.

Just had the first annual Service of my ASHP by Adam after signing up for a Boxergy service plan to cover this. Great service as always and Adam has also tweaked some of the settings to make the system even more efficient. Thank you ☺️ After a year without gas in the house and a traditional boiler, the house is always warm, and I don’t need to think about it. An added bonus is it’s significantly cheaper to run than my previous boiler. Thank you again.

I had been considering installing Solar panels for some time. After looking at various installers I settled on Boxergy as their offer of 4KW solar panels plus battery was very comprehensive and competativly priced. After an informative online consulatation with Ben Caird I decided to go ahead. The installation was started within a week and has already slashed my grid electricity consumption. The Boxergy installaion team were helpful, friendly and efficient. Rosie and Kirsty kept me informed and dealt with all the necessary Distribution Network permits etc. I have no hesitation in recommending Boxergy.

Had an appointment booked for a home visit after a phone call from the office. Was looking for a full package of solar panels, battery and an air source heat pump. Unfortunately no email or phone call to either confirm or cancel the arranged visit we were expecting so a wasted day. Update: Boxergy phoned to apologise the following day and explained their sales person had taken ill and couldn't make that day's appointments. There was a miscommunication which meant nobody let us know but these things happen so was happy to rearrange the visit. Looking forward to meeting the meeting them then hopefully moving forward with solar and heat pump systems.

I had a solar PV and battery setup installed - from start to finish the experience was smooth sailing. I recently used Boxergy to complete my solar and battery storage. I had been left in the lurch by a previous dodgy solar provider. Thankfully Boxergy were able to fix my system, ensure it was safe and issue me with the all important MCS certificate. I received a visit today from Adam at Boxergy to carry out a routine repair to my air source heat pump. Not only did he carry out the repair quickly and efficiently, he took the time ensure the rest of system was setup properly. He provided a great explanation of the operating system and ensured I was able to navigate through the various menus to allow me to make further changes in the future to maximise the efficiency of the system. Boxergy carried out a service of our air source heat pump recently. This had been installed by the firm around two years ago and since then it has worked well. I have really appreciated the way in which all necessary work has been carried out; promptly, thoughtfully, and giving good explanations of how we as owners can do our part in keeping the system running efficiently.

Efficient, informative and always at the end of the phone or email to answer any questions posed. Flexible on installation dates and helpful to move the process on as soon as was practicable. Installation went smoothly and with minimum fuss, no complaints and expect Boxergy will maintain this level of customer service and see their business grow accordingly. The APP demonstrating the efficiency of the system is nice and straightforward and allows sensible decisions to be made on energy use. Took out a maintenance plan with Boxergy in December for our Air Source Heat Pump and had cause to call them out last week. Adam was really friendly and understanding and explained everything clearly. He did a thorough job and fixed the issue. Hats off to Boxergy.

When we had a faulty part, Adam came out quickly to help fix it. After our system was back up and running he made sure to answer any questions, and did a full run-through of our newly installed system. This was great as he clearly had a lot of experience and very helpful tips. He also went the extra mile to make sure there were no leaks and did any adjustments that were needed.

Really happy with the overall level of service provided from Boxergy. We had our ASHP, solar and battery installed a couple of years ago. The Boxergy team have always been reliable throughout. The new service plan provides some comfort the system is working well. During the recent visit Adam also had some tips and advice on running the system more effectively.

Fantastic service. From signing up for a maintenance contract for our heat pump to getting repairs done, the service from Emma, Adam and team has been first class. Adam is a Vaillant trained engineer so he knew exactly how to fine tune our system to get it even more efficient. Went above and beyond.

Rosie and the Team came to the rescue and helped me fix my mum's uncertified install from a defunct installer. We needed a bit or remedial work to correct the poor job done by the original installer which involved a site survey, quote negotiation and a couple of days work but we now have a MCS Certified install through a reputable, responsive and relatable company. If you have been left in a similar situation don't despair it can be fixed.
