Cowboys and extremely expensive even for simple jobs

I have quite a few electrical problems both indoors and outdoors and in the garage/workshop. Alan turned up and after a quick show around so that he knew where the troubles were he got to work and sorted three very quickly and took details and photos of some others for ordering spares. He will return with spares and can be booked in at a future date. All very well done, thank you. Terry.

Graham the owner is a hugely knowledgeable and helpful chap. And honest. Chris - who he's sent to work on our various projects - is excellent; a safe and experienced pair of hands. A family-owned and run business with old-fashioned customer service; sometimes clichés are accurate. Highly recommended.

Really poor. Emailed to no response, emailed again and got a reply. 3 emails later we have finally arranged a visit for 1 weeks time. I wait a week and email on the day asking what time they will be here. I have just been told his car won’t start so won’t be coming. So I’ve just waited over a week when I could have employed a competent electrician to do the job. Waste of everyone’s time.

We have used Barton Electrical for more than 10 years. They have always been responsive, polite. professional and helpful, going out of their way to get any job done quickly and efficiently. They have visited our office to carry out Portable Appliance Testing, and operated at events to ensure exhibitors’ electrical equipment is compliant, as well as stepping into the breach to resolve venue supply issues whilst on site. They have also serviced and replaced electrical appliances in our home. A company with old fashioned customer service values but up to date knowledge, who we highly recommended.

SNOW HOMES own a number of rented houses which constantly need the services of Barton Electrical. They have been my preferred contractor for many years. Their response time is fantastic - same day for an emergency, or next day for normal call out. Diagnostic problem solving seems to be their speciality. In all a very valuable company to know, always friendly and knowledgeable.

Called Barton a couple of days ago after my wife got a nasty shock from a kitchen light shade in our new house. The engineer attending this morning, identified the problem, and as we were changing the lights in the kitchen anyways, completely removed the fitting and (as a bonus) removed the other kitchen light fitting as well. He also explained which wires we'd need to fit into our new fittings. We are also going to need a new distribution unit, which he is costing up for us, and we will definitely be using Barton. Highly, highly recommend this company. Professional, polite, helpful, and friendly!

It was the day of my fathers funeral and we had the wake being held at my family home. My family had come from all over and the dimmer switch blew out on the morning before I left the house for the service. My wife called Graham who came out himself to fix it understanding the importance of the day as his staff we're all busy - that is service!
