DRS Electrical

I was so pleased I chose DRS Electrical to install our EV charger. From Emma, who handled all the liasing, to Sam who came to do the site inspection and Max who did the install, it was all seamless. The cabling had to run around the bottom of our house, along the boundary wall, through our flower bed and under our driveway to the EV charger unit, that was mounted on a post, and it has all been so well hidden (not one cable to be seen anywhere!), which shows the attention to detail Max has. If you're after a professional, neat and friendly services then I'd highly recommend DRS Electrical without hesitation.

Great experience with DRS Electrical - after a couple of very unhappy experiences with larger companies I was relieved to find a company that listened to what I needed and deliver just that. The engineer was very informative, happy and open to tell me what he was testing and restored my faith in finding a reliable and approachable company.

Contacted DRS Electrical, as they had previously upgraded worktop lighting in my kitchen, and installed new smoke alarms and carbon monoxide alarms in the house. This time it was for just a small job, ie replacing a faulty light switch. Emma stated their labour charges beforehand, and offered a next-day call-out. Their electrician Noah arrived within the promised timeframe and completed the task in a short time, both supplying and fitting the new switch. He was pleasant, considerate, and helpful. As an older person, it is a godsend to find a reliable company prepared to do small jobs as well as larger projects. Would recommend this company, for quick response and reliability.

I needed a new power supply in order to convert from a gas hob to induction, and also had a dimmer switch installed. Good advice and clear discussion of options and pricing from Sam, followed by careful and thorough work by Danny. Good communication and willingness to be flexible around my needs. We used DRS for electrical work on our new house following a move to Godalming from London. The schedule of work was comprehensive in order to ensure safety and update the electrical system. Overall the standard of work, client liaison and ethos was outstanding. The team were efficient and, most importantly, proactive when it came to safety and advice on all aspects of the improvements. From the initial estimate, coordination and work on site they were always polite, hard working, trustworthy and utterly reliable. I have no hesitation in giving them the strongest recommendation.

Very good service provided by Sam. He arrived promptly and gave me all the information I needed. He fitted a dimmer switch for my sitting room lighting , and also clarified how to use my underfloor heating control panels.

Max did an amazing job. Was an efficient and clean worker and a pleasure to have in our house.

I had received and accepted a quote from an electrician who was due to return to lay some cabling for garden works (among other things). The builders commenced work onsite and I was unable to contact the electrician so I Googled and found DRS Electrical and was encouraged by the positive reviews. I phoned just after 8am and Alex took my call and arranged for Emma to call me back about an hour later. Emma pulled out all the stops despite the DRS team of electricians being busy on other work and arranged for Sam to squeeze in a visit later that afternoon to assess the job. Sam gave excellent advice to simplify the cabling methodology (and also on the approach / materials for the other jobs I need doing). Oliver was onsite at 07.30 the next morning to lay the cabling. I had contacted other electricians the day before calling DRS and the earliest availability was August. DRS dealt with the urgent cabling issue first on a time and materials basis and I look forward to receiving a quote for the other less urgent jobs. Everyone I dealt with at DRS was friendly, professional, very responsive and solution focussed. I can’t thank DRS enough for helping me out of a pickle so that the builders were not held up. I highly recommend DRS and 10 out of 5 stars from me! Thank you!

DRS Electrical came highly recommended in the village I live from multiple sources, and it's clear to see why. Their customer service was exemplary and I truly appreciated their patience of explaining and talking through all the issues with me as a layman and little experience of electrics. The work done was great, quick, professional and the electrician they sent round (Noah) was courteous and respectful of our home. Also dealt with Sam their manager, who took the time out to talk through wider concerns we had in our home and on other issues we might have had. All in all felt that DRS went above and beyond - they're a great company and I'd highly recommend them.

Having just downsized I was anxious for an electrician to complete several tasks at my new home. I phoned 10 from various advertised sites and only 2 answered my call; one could start in 2 months time whilst the only other one actually arrived 2 days later. He (Max) was very efficient, knowledgeable & friendly. The jobs were finished later that day with a final invoice that was most reasonable. I would use them again without hesitation.

Based on a recommendation from a friend, I contacted DRS to have our old fuse-wire based board with all sorts of redundant add-ons converted to a new RCBO-based board. Sam visited and very professionally explained what would be needed and within a day provided a quotation which we accepted. On the agreed date (a few weeks only) Max arrived and in the quoted two days, stripped everything away and despite a real rat's nest of wires installed the two cabinets with their RCBOs on day one and tested everything on day 2. All worked perfectly. Max was a truly charming young man, very helpful, explained things as necessary and most polite. We would have no hesitation in recommending DRS for electrical work. During all this time Emma in the office was always very responsive with great attention to detail.

Sam has done work in our house for over 10 years and we have always found him very reliable and efficient - always prepared to go the extra mile. We used Sam and DRS to put all the electrics into a new barn we had built in 2022/23 and they did a great job. This included installing Phase 3 electrics. I highly recommend Sam and DRS.

DRS Electrical in Bramley, Guildford has today done an outstanding job replacing all lights with LED and replaced all fittings for the lights with modern and secure ones. The fuse board has also been replaced with a secure and modern one. All this was done while we stayed in the house and with no disturbances for us. We can highly recommend them as one of the best in the Guildford area! Richard M

This is second time we have used DRS for some small electrical work around the house. Everything is super smooth, the lead time is quite quick, the person (Max in this instance) arrived on time, was friendly and flexible to my last minute alteration. Emma in the office is quick to reply to emails and super helpful. Recommended for sure.

Second time I’ve used DRS for jobs around our house, this time was a smaller job replacing some LEDs under kitchen cabinets. Professional and a pleasure to deal with from the office handling bookings to the engineers. They know what they’re doing and you don’t have to be having a full re-wire for them to give you a good service.

Can’t recommend DRS highly enough. Emma was superb in helping to identify the services we needed, and for allocating resources to meet our tight deadline. Max attended on the day, and was extremely helpful and professional, and a real pleasure to work with. He put in a long day completing all the remedial work required, and we were delighted with the outcome. Definitely our go to team in the future.

Needed our whole house unexpectedly rewired 😱 which was a bit of a shock! However… DRS were on time, polite, considerate and were just all round great. Hopefully we never need a house rewired again, but if we did would call DRS straight away

Sam visited our home for suggesting us the right way to do our particular job and followed all regulations. Luke is young and extremely talented. He understood my urge for symmetry and repeated the whole process for alignment. After that they all run tests for safety which I didn’t notice other electricians do so far. Will definitely recommend them!!
