Fantastic support from Steven at Jorro. He helped us resolve a long-standing problem with our smart meter in the Borders that had never connected properly. With his guidance, we were able to get through to the right people and within weeks we had a working solution. It’s rare to come across someone who is both knowledgeable and so willing to go the extra mile. Highly recommended for anyone dealing with energy, renewables or smart meter issues.

We got a really swift answer from Steve, who visited the property and gave us all the information we needed and a good quote. The installation was very quick and professional, and the follow ups from Steve have been really appreciated. Fantastic experience all round.

We had solar panels and battery installation by Jorro this summer (‘25), having previously had an EV charger installed by them in 2021. Steve was responsive, clear and thoughtful about the system being proposed throughout the process. Installation occurred quickly, only a few weeks after we had agreed to go ahead, and any initial glitches sorted within a few days. The solar system is now working brilliantly and I would recommend Jorro highly.

Really disappointed in the after sales service. It is now 10 months since my solar panels were installed and I still do not have the correct information to apply for the Smart Energy Guarantee. Emails and phone calls go unanswered and pre arranged meetings are cancelled. Communication with Jorro is very poor and I would not recommend them. Pre installation they were excellent and promised the world but after sales service leaves much to be desired.

Jorro installed my home charger then subsequently installed my solar and battery. Fantastic and super friendly service. Highly recommend.

We recently had the pleasure of working with Jorro Ltd for the installation of solar panels for our new self build home in the Highlands, Scotland, and we couldn't be happier with the experience. From start to finish, the entire process was seamless and professional. Steve McMahon, the Technical Sales Director, was our main contact and to be honest we liked him from the moment he arrived to talk us through what Jorro offered. His expertise and attention to detail were evident from our very first meeting. Steve took the time to understand our specific needs and provided tailored advice that ensured we made an informed decision. Steve recommended a system that was perfectly suited for us and our lands unique layout, using one of our paddocks for the panels to be sited as it is south facing. The installation process was equally impressive. The team arrived on time and worked efficiently to complete the installation in just one day. They were courteous, knowledgeable, and kept us informed every step of the way. Today at 3.30pm we had 4kW coming off the panels, we are at the end of February and in Scotland, we couldn't be any happier with that! We feel confident that we made the right choice by choosing Jorro Ltd, and we would highly recommend them to anyone considering solar panel installation. We were referred to Jorro (and 2 other firms) by our energy supplier (Octopus) when we decided to install solar panels and a battery. Jorro were magnificent throughout. All the way from the first discussions to follow up after the installation was complete we could not be happier. Our main point of contact was Steve McMahon who as Technical Sales Director came to the site visit, outlined our options and made sure we made an informed decision on the system that best suited our needs. Other companies seemed more keen to sell us a system that would be administratively simple for them, but Jorro were very much led by giving us tailored advice (e.g. our house faces East and West so they recommended a large system with panels on both sides of our roof). Steve's attention to detail and knowledge were the difference for us-it was based on his work that we elected to go with Jorro. Approvals for the system came quickly and the date suggested for the installation was exactly 4 weeks after the very first site visit-an awesome response! The whole installation was done in a day and the large team of installers worked tirelessly and ensured that we understood what was going on throughout. I would have no hesitation in recommending Jorro and will definitely use them again in future for anything to do with energy needs (heat pump next, likely!)

Absolutely fantastic service. Initially had my charger installed by Jorro and due to excellent service received, I decided to go with Jorro for my solar and battery installation. First class service from all at every stage. Steven McMahon was there to guide me through every step and has been amazing at keeping me informed and advising me of how things will progress. Couldn’t ask for a better service. Highly recommended.

We had a hassle free Solar, EV charging and battery installation in 2022. All communication pre and post sale has been good and any issues resolved without fuss. Engineer that recently visited to replace a faulty RCD unit was particularly helpful.

An absolutely first class service! Our battery storage system was fitted in a day with the minimum disruption and mess. Nothing was any problem for them, everyone was friendly, helpful and professional.

Stay away from the company, paid them to commission my solar panels, but never did. Thank god I paid with my credit card, which under section 75 protected me from loss of money. Please be aware, paying by BAC will leave you vulnerable to these rogue traders.

The team at Jorro have been incredibly helpful with the installation of our electric car charging point. From the initial enquiry, to applying for grants and undertaking the installation itself, they have been patient and understanding with us as customers, and we are delighted with the results. We have the charger that best suits our needs, installed where we wanted it to give us full flexibility in the future. Update: We've got Jorro back in again doing solar and domestic battery installation this time. They're friendly and reliable, and spent all the time that was needed to answer my many questions. 5 more stars for Jorro!

after having a poor customer service experience, i did raise a complaint and it was handled professionally and swiftly from that point on. as a result i've adjusted my review to reflect 4 stars. When they got working on it, they really strived to fix the problem, but i was disappointed i had to raise a complaint before this happened.

Communication is appalling from this company, no website or email response after more than 2 weeks. I would advise to go elsewhere.

Quoted for an ev charger. Inflated the quote by £350, this counter acts the £350 government grant. Certainly not looking out for the customer. Scam. Don't go near them.

Dealt with Jorro through Mazda. Pre-installation mostly done through NewMotion. However, arranging the installation was easy, and the team that came to work at the house were excellent. On time, friendly, work very tidy and smart. Really impressed with the company

Multiple installers said that due to the layout of my house a home charger wasn't possible. One quoted £3,400 after grant. Jorro not only installed the charger but charged about £900. Well done all round.

They installed a zappi unit at my property and considering the difficulties with the location of the consumer unit, the installers done an immaculate job.

They Installed a Zappi 2 charger for us in December 2019. Very good communication prior to a smooth installation. Thanks.

Avoid. Untrustworthy. You'd think it's impossible to carry out an assessment of a solar installation's operational state without the use of a single piece of electrical apparatus....these guys seem to think you can. Anything for a few extra quid.

***Update to last review*** AVOID, AVOID,AVOID, After months of waiting I never did receive my charger. I have gave up now, this company is a complete joke as is the Director David Pickles. He will promise you that he will get things sorted but it will never happen. The company is terrible at replying to any emails (there will be many) and you will have to harass them for an response. I strongly advise you to avoid using this company as there is a high chance you will be severely let down. If their installers are anything like the office staff/ managers I would want them near my house. Please take my advice, save yourself a headache and avoid this company. Check out the other reviews of their bad service. The good reviews I would suggest you treat with suspicion. A very unhappy customer. Previous review Ordered the installation of a Zappi charging unit from them a couple of weeks ago and have been told today that they do not even have a delivery dates of these units. No mention of this on their website and no mention of it on the numerous emails back and forth. I really do think they are trying to mislead me regarding this installation and they cannot at the moment give me a confirmed installation date. This is a complete waste of my time and I really am not happy about the service I am receiving. Please note, if you do intend to proceed with an order from this company be prepared to personally carry out a full survey of the installation route. This is only to save them there time and I do not think this is reflected in the price. I feel my time has been wasted by this company and unless a miracle happens within the next few days I will be taking this further. Mr A Bennett

Excellent service from initial phone call through to installation and handling paperwork. Highly recommend...going to use them again for workplace charge points as well.

Having just had an unsatisfactory contact with a different company, my experience with Jorro has been a complete contrast. Their responses to communications have been rapid and efficient, the office staff always friendly and helpful (especially with the paperwork), and the charger installers proved to be very resourceful and competent. The charger was installed promptly and is working well.Thank you, Jorro!

From start to finish n the installation process the people from Jorro were excellent. The communication from the office was prompt and always professional. The installation was done on time and the guys who installed were great. We got one of the first of the new Roloc smart chargers and can honestly say we are delighted with it. Jorro were also great when it came to applying for the available grant's and made sure the whole process was seamless.

If you want a ev wall charger this is the place to go.

Used them twice and been messed around, ignored, fobbed off and disappointed both times. Disorganised and indifferent. People deserve better.

Dealing with Jorro is an extremely slow torture of alternating delays, silence, solutions that never materialise and straight up inability to answer questions. I have a job half done and no indication of what's happening. A home charge point should not take 10 months to arrange.

Initial consultation arranged quickly and very professional, no quote followed despite chasing them several times. Would have strong reservations against using this company and their ability to deliver based on this experience

INSTALLATION OF A CAR CHARGER Good stuff first: Great website, good system for obtaining a quote, good slick system for claiming grants. There was also some flexibility, as they allowed me to run their cable and knocked £20 off the price. Electrician polite, pleasant and all staff appear very amiable. Not so good: 15th June - ordered. 22st June - quote confirmed. 20th July – fitment date – nobody turned up, no phone call, no email, NOTHING! 24th July - I’m told that after bench testing at Jorro they discovered the charger was a ‘faulty unit’ (testing AFTER the original fitment date? Go figure.) – so 2 week delay to order a new one. 13th Aug - new fitment date – 11am phone call and informed electrician was sick. 22nd Aug - new fitment date – charger installed. Electrician polite and install fine, except……this time the unit was untested (no bench testing this time….) and didn’t actually work when plugged into my car that evening (car was not around during install). 23rd Aug – After a bit of investigation, the the box-car tethered cable comms CP wire was rewired to the correct terminals and the unit sprung into life. 3rd Sept – try to arrange final Jorro payment to allow claiming back via EST and I’m told FOR THE FIRST TIME, that due to ongoing supply issues, they stuck a spare TYPE 2 tethered cable onto my unit as a temporary measure (probably why it was incorrectly wired?) I would so like to recommend Jorro but what a shambles! Such poor customer communication. A little bit of honesty would be appreciated. If there are supply issues, why not say there are supply issues! That would be appreciated more than the collection of ‘stories’ I’ve been fed. I received no discount and only reluctant apologies for my inconvenience. (you know, like hanging about for 2 days unnecessarily and getting the job finished by others?)

Absolute jokers. Book a job 1month in advance and cancel 5hrs before start date. Don't set your watch. Dreadful correspondence. Useless

Great work from Jorro UK the help with the grant made the charger install easy. Also the finish from the installer was amazing everything was so neatly done. Very happy with the work.

Jorro’s service was really great from start to finish. I initially contacted them long before moving house to get advice and they were happy to install the chargepoint exactly how I wanted (not just where was easiest!). They sorted out paperwork for both my grants and the electricians who came to do the work did a good job. I’d definitely use them again when I get another chargepoint.

I really regret using them. They were friendly and helpful, and gave a competitive quote but that all stopped after the installation. After initial promises they communicated less and less. They do not answer emails or the phone. Even after 6 months of trying - as well as getting the Energy Saving Trust involved - they still won't talk to me.

Quite bizarre and awful experience with this company. I made enquiries twice about having a charge point fitted. I got very friendly and helpful responses from them for a week or two but this was unfortunately followed by absolute radio silence. Emails were ignored and there was no answer to the phone on a number of occasions. I even emailed the boss but got no reply from him either. They either have so much business they can afford to treat people like this or they have ceased trading, who knows. Complete and utter waste of time, find somebody who actually wants to install a charge point for you.

Great service all round, would recommend for home instillation of charging point for our PHEV Volvo.
